Gotta say I liked the idea they went for, but they're way too faint as both sides. I can just about make out the hooked survivor at long distances, and that shouldn't be the case at all.

It's not even my xboxs hardware sure they dont compare to pc but when I cam run gears 5 smooth 60 no matter the game mode but I cant run this game 60 fps constantly that's the problem its poor optimization that's all it is they dont care either.
Exactly this. I can run any other game on my PS4 with zero issues. Yet when I load up DbD, the console suddenly pretends to be an airplane and starts overheating. The game was never optimised for console. It was a direct port from PC and since it was SUPPOSED to be optimised last year, but never was, I very much doubt it's coming. And with the new graphics rework, I guarantee it's going to get worse for consoles.

i whiff a lot because of aim dressing ending my lunge constantly on ps4, not counting those i get spun by people i don't expect to even attempt to 360, such as people who camp and/or instantly throw down pallets, and don't look behind them. Besides those, if i expect it, i will hit them
I'm in the same boat. So many times I'll swing at them and aim dressing smacks a wall beside them as they dodge away. Usually I end up missing when they start running around like a crazy person in front of me and I can't tell what direction they're going in. It's kinda funny but annoying at the same time.
-
I just don't understand survivors who DC on death hook then proceed to 'gloat' about their denied kill. I mean, who really lost in that situation? Me, as killer who gained chase points and hook points, or the survivor who just earned a nice big 0 BP because their ego was hurt.
-
Xbox was pretty bad for FPS drops, especially whenever I played Demogorgon. I'm on PS4 now and it's nowhere near as bad, but I still get FPS choppiness at random times, usually in the middle of being chased.
-
Myer's every time. I'm always just doing a Gen and nobody is in sight, then a second later I just turn the camera back and boom, there he is just silently standing there watching me. Makes me freak out everytime!
-
I love it and must go test it. Someone will hate me before the night ends!

Its still there. But it has the normal rate by now, meaning it is quite rare to get there because there are quite a bunch of Realms.
Same goes for the Map Offering.
This pretty much. I'm lucky to see Midwitch even once a day, if at all. And any Mary's Letter's I do manage to get I'm hoarding.

That's a whole different level of petty!! I can't remember any of the names of people I play against. But this guys name will stick in my mind
I recognise some names here and there in my matches but even if they were horrible to play with/against I'd never refuse to play with them. Honestly, I laugh everytime it happens now. It's just funny this guy wastes so much energy on me over a single mori.
-
I made a stalker on the game. I once mori'd him as Ghostface since I was just going for the kill 4 in one match trophy on PS4 and he took it extremely personal. To the point that anytime he encounters me in a game as survivor he DC's in the loading screen just to kick us all back to lobby and calls me scum. This has been going on for over half a year now. I think it's time to let it go!
-
If your game started lagging then it's not something you did on purpose, unless you did of course. But these things happen. I've had it happen to me on PS4 where a survivor seemed frozen in place, but in reality they'd actually teleported 20 feet ahead and downed over there. So as long as you didn't cause the lag to occur then it's fine. If it did happen again, just explain in the post-chat to survivors.
-
DS should just be made to work like BT. The killer has to be within a set range for it to activate. It wouldn't be abusable this way, and survivors would at least have some security if they were to be redowned. And if they unhook or repair, then the DS wears off instantly. I wouldn't say healing should remove it though, since that's not really working toward any objective. As for Unbreakable, it's fine as is. It's only usable once and it's gone. Yes, it does boost the revive speed while they recover alone, but even then, if you leave them on the floor and they have it, well that's on the killer for leaving them there. It's always a risk that must be taken with Unbreakable.
-
Demogorgon. But nobody ever plays him these days, so the moments he does appear in a game, I treasure them. Until he tries tearing my face off anyways, then the war begins.
-
Honestly, I've noticed that survivors who rely on DS and Dead Hard are the ones who fall the fastest. And there lies the huge issue. It's too heavily relied upon because we all know that EGC with DS? Yeah, they're escaping wether you like it or not. Dead Hard is a one trick pony imo. Use it once, and the killer won't fall for it a second time.

thanks for the advice! I would also point out that in solo queue you have an information vaccuum, so bring perks to help bring you news. Bond is great for this, since it tells you where your team is and what they are doing for a pretty good distance around you. If you haven't unlocked bond then kindred is the next best thing. You can see which direction the killer leaves the hook in, which of your teammates may be going in for the save, and which gen(s) any of your team might be pressuring. Plus kindred feeds your whole team info when you get hooked
This. Kindred is my 100% must have as a Solo player. I always have to have it on my loadout. It's helped out so many times, especially when a killer is still close by but either stealthed or using Insidious. Though, even with Kindred, you still do get some survivors who just don't really pay attention to the fact the killer is darting right at them.
-
There was a Rank reset? Seriously, no joke here, but my rank didn't change on either side for me. Still Rank 2 Survivor and Rank 4 Killer. Maybe bugged, but I am seeing far more DC's when I'm playing killer, and I'm just playing normally. No tunneling, camping, etc.
-
@Reaver_Raziel said:
As you say there is basically 0 problems with it on a solo guy. He can still get some use out of it and be a nuisance against some killers. But when its on SWF every single person thats premade with that guy knows where the killer is 100% of the time. And when its in a SWF its usually always the best loopers that run it.
And since people hate being watched constantly they will not only tunnel but camp the living daylight out of any person that runs it. Partly because of the killer not knowing if its a SWF they are facing and partly because knowing someone is watching you constantly feels like that person mocking you. Whether they mean to or not.
Its like "Hey I gave you the power to see me because I know you cant catch me". Thats the general feeling that perk conveys to the killer. Ofc thats my oppinion and other players might feel different.
Pretty much nails the point home. I despise going against it at any time. Even on Solo players, it's a pain to VS. The only good side for it is stealth killers (Myers T1, Wraith, Ghostface) can hide from it, but still see the survivor's aura which has knocked a few OoO users down a peg or two. But, it's like torture when you just get ran around and around for 10 minutes knowing you'll never catch them unless they mess up in some way. If I see OoO nowadays, I just AFK the match and let them have their fun.
-
Honestly, I played Spirit a few times in the past and, no. Zero skill. Unless standing still at a pallet to fake a phase and get a free hit requires skill. I just found her so incredibly boring. At least with other killers, I have to plan my moves but Spirit you just phase and they freak out.
-
To me, a killer being toxic is usually one that will literally face camp at 5 gens remaining. Camp away if you like, but you can't deny that just ruins the experience for the other player who's stuck for 2 minutes unable to do anything because even if they manage to get off, they're straight back up there. In times when a killer just directly targets the unhooked survivor rather than the unhooker, then again, it feels like another ruined experience. I won't say camping/tunneling is something I agree with, but it is a tactic, but personally, I just find this gameplay style to be boring and very unfun. But, everyone plays their own way and nothing can change that.
-
It's fantastic if you can get stacks onto it for sure, but the problem is, RNG likes to screw you. I've healed survivors while using it, and both times, zero checks, leaving the perk to lower the bar at the EGC when it really isn't what you want happening. It's kind of a Survivor Hex. High risk, with high reward when it decides to pay out, but when it doesn't, it's a slot wasted.
-
It's a good idea, but when it's a Hex, say NOED or DH, then survivors won't really choose to leave it standing. And most times, the killer won't really give you enough time to get back up unless they're afraid of DS or just slugging everyone.
-
Hopefully the survey is a huge hint they'll change it to skill checks like the cages. Though I do hope if they do change it, they add an option to give up because it's bad enough being stuck in the cage even missing skill checks when it's clear nobody is coming for you.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t play survivor
Yes, because I must be a killer main because I'm speaking about Survivors not doing totems. Right. Yet, just for your information, I play both sides. So I know for a fact teams will try just rush the door because it's usually me trying to find all the totems.
-
I actually find posts about NOED funny. They're always the same. 'It's a second chance perk that rewards zero skill'. My counter to this: 'It's zero skill to hold a button on a gen for 5 minutes'. Do totems, and NOED never activates. But since most survivors just want to slam out gens and rush the door, you pretty much ask for NOED to activate.
-
I'm not sure what this picture is supposed to prove. Are you flexing you beat a red rank team? Because anyone can do that these days. Most are freaking potatoes.

Weren' they just hallucinations/nightmares of the kid scared of these creepy animatronics?
Springtrap, on the other hand, is more than real.
I do agree, though, that nightmares are aesthetically better, but I guess in DbD springtrap would look more realistic and gruesome than he did in games. Besides, we can always get a skin, IF we get fnaf in the first place.
Basically yes, they were in his head as nightmares while he was in a coma. But they would be a much better choice than Springtrap. Hell, Shadow Fredbear, now that is creepy and would be a great addition to the game.

Lately I’ve been paired up with such filth in matches😒so I’m with you on this.
I just had a match against a Clown, or maybe 4 Clowns after the result. All was going great, I was the only one not being caught and at last we get the final Gen done. A Claudette goes down and luckily I always run Kindred so I could see the other 2 survivors running around like lunatics while clown was beside hook, so I took a chance and grabbed the Claudette, but I don't have BT so I take the down to keep her safe. I swear to god, I wanted to reach into my TV at this point and kill someone. A Meg tries to flashlight, why, I have no idea. Goes down. A Jake tries saboing the hook, grabbed. The Claudette tries to revive Meg 2 feet away from the psycho murderer and downs. And to make it even better. The survivors were of course, Red rank. I mean, I'm red rank and did a stupid getting downed for a save, but I could risk it with zero hooks. But my god, as I saw the icons changing to downs I felt both sadness and severe rage inside.
-
Agreed. I think I was watching Puppers last night and he said the exact same thing. He also added make it Rank 30 to 1, and make it tougher to pip for survivor, and a little easier for killers. Honestly, I wouldn't say no to seeing everyone just thrown back to Rank 20, and forced into a new pip system to finally weed out the potatoes of this game. I'm so tired of seeing them every damn match.
-
Honestly, size really wouldn't matter. They could just add a new 'carry' to the game. Just make him drag a survivor by their leg or something and throw them onto a hook. I mean, Hag is pretty short and she manages to carry survivors fine, so I can't see why Chucky wouldn't be able to be programmed in some way to do the same.
-
Being able to choose loactions yourself is a little unfair imo. You could literally place them in locations where survivors would never think to check, and while that would be great, it's not fair for survivors. Yes, Hex totems do go fast, but that's the risk you take. High risk, with high reward.
-
They should just add this for both solo and SWF. It could overhaul perks, and finally change how people play, instead of relying on the same 4 perks each match. It would add more creativity to perk builds and thus, different gameplay.
-
I just find it baffling that so many hackers can freely do this. Isn't there supposed to be a Anti-cheat thing on Steam? The devs need to really wake up and fix this. I saw a hacker on Tru3talents stream a couple days back where he instantly completed all Gens, then proceeded to instant open a gate, leave and somehow ended the EGC killing the remaining 3 survivors. It's this kind of crap that really makes me fear crossplay arriving to this game.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Thats how it has been for the last year now. Play killer and its sweaty tryhard swf, play survivor and you get rank 15-20 survivors who just crouch around the edge of the map all game
Yep pretty much this. Literally every killer match I play turns into a sweatfest that requires me to start injecting Adrenaline into my system just to keep up. And survivor. Jeez do not get me started on how many red rank idiots there are. How they even reached that rank is beyond me.
-
I would guess this would be a skin they'd release in the future for sure. I'd also love to see the Bogeyman skin from Downpour too.
-
Yep, Perks, Items and Add-Ons and Offerings all get deleted when you prestige so make sure you use up anything you gained before prestiging anyone
-
I had a Rank 16 Doc against all Rank 1's earlier, all randoms too. I ended up giving the poor guy a free kill because damn he tried so hard and you could see it was really getting to him. MM is seriously borked!
-
Well, the usual answer to this is either 'Git gud' or 'Just apply pressure'.
But, I know this exact feeling. It's torture. No matter how much you try to apply pressure, it never helps because the second you try to pick someone up, in comes a flashlight. Anytime it's clear it's a SWF, I just give up and let them get on with it. I could care less if AFK'ing is looked down upon. I'm not forcing myself to stress and sweat just to try and even get a single hook. So, I let them have what they clearly want. A EZ game.
-
It's really agitating when they do this. Especially when you leave a Gen that could have been completed, and run a marathon to try help, and they decide, nah, I'm out, right in your face. I mean, if you don't wanna play, then fine by me, but at least have the sense to do it before you make me travel across the map!
-
It's been disabled for a few days now, presumably because of Tru3talent being hacked into a 3 day MM ban.
-
Whenever I have a killer who has a really bad match, I like to let them just down me and hook me. They usually just drop me in the exit gate, but I at least offer them a kill, even if it is just 1. I'd rather them get some more points.
-
If you mean the Konami Code, it works. Make sure you have PH as the killer standing in the main menu, then do the code. It should play a theme tune when it works.
-
I dunno. They let Fortnite do their Star Wars Crossover event, and now multiple Marvel crossovers so I don't see why they wouldn't allow BHVR to use them. And Alien is known for being more horror, so I don't see why BHVR wouldn't be able to. Unless Disney plan on turning Alien into some kind of musical.
-
If your going to just go AFK every match, why are you even playing the game? If it stresses you out so much, take a break. Come back to it with a fresh head and see how you feel then. Everyone who's played any side will tell you how stressful it can become, and forcing yourself to play more will only make you hate the game more. I've been there more times than I can count, and continuing playing when it makes you feel that way isn't the answer. You could even just try survivor instead. It's far less stressful since you don't have to constantly moniter every possible action. Solo survivor is pretty much a roulette wheel at times for sure, but it can be more fun that killer.

Oh is it because of the connection issues they've temporarily turned off DC penalties?
I'm assuming it was because of Tru3Talent being hacked into a 3 Day matchmaking ban that it got removed. They didn't say anything for obvious reasons. The OP is that reason.

Game is more popular now than it has ever has been, not to mention the most balanced. Someone between the two of us is lying, I wonder which one it is.
Right, totally balanced. That must be the reason so many people have complained about many aspects of the game being abused right? And the game being popular right now? Sure, new DLC, more players want to see it. Hype dies off, and playerbase slowly trickles back to the usual players until the next. Not to mention, more and more people are questioning the broken state of the game daily and streamers even starting to question where the fun is. But sure, one of us is lying for sure.

They were only for a week as part of the DLC release. There will be one more once the Cake fix comes in, but after that, they're gone for good.

It's driving me crazy. I just wanna get into Killer and it's like unless I am q-ing in the dead of the night, I am just getting red-ranks after literally waiting 15-20 minutes who just bully and are toxic all game.
It's the sad state the game has become, but the Devs seem to pretend it isn't happening. This game is literally losing more killers by the day, and the wait times show it. And the cause? This bullcrap. SWF abusing MM just to bully killers because 'they can'. It's sad that they spend their time on a game making others miserable, when some of us just want to have fun. But let's face it, fun left this game long ago. The only ones having fun are the camping killers and bully squads.
-
Chances are, this was a SWF abusing MM. Have one of them make a 'new' account, then have them be leader and boom. EZGame. There's a lot of it going around at the moment because of how broken MM is.
-
I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are it was a bunch of kids playing together that thought they were the hottest thing since DS, and since you beat them with a very rarely seen killer, their small but fragile egos were damaged and they lashed out the only way they know how.

couldnt agree more. you know im not even expect godlike survivors in my team who can loop a killer for 10 minutes. but atleast go to a stupid gen and press M1 its so simple and easy to play survivor. but for a strange reason they do the opposite, im not even blaming these survivors because they dont know it better. i even had a survivor asking me at the end why legion knew where everyone was all the time and this guy was rank 2-3 and played the first time against a legion lol. i only blame bhvr for that. i even started using Kindred but not even that is working .. after the event i will take a break i guess.
I run Kindred myself, and even when the killer is clearly camping me, I'm sitting there watching the 3 of them sneaking up and I'm just thinking, for the love of god, do a gen. And that usually equals every one of them downed and hooked. Or, when I'm doing a Gen, and someones hooked at the other side of the map, and theres 1 just crouching in the middle of nowhere, and someone else is happily self-caring away. The problem is that Survivor ranks are stupid easy to earn now. I'm Rank 3 now and will openly admit, I'm not even close to that rank skill-wise. I'm god awful in a chase, but the only reason I'm there is because Gens, Healing and unhooks keep me there. Yet, Killer's have to do a crap ton more, yet still barely pip.
