  • SWF isn't all SWAT teams, despite what many like to say. I play with my friend everyday and we're always on chat, but most times we're just messing around leading the killer to each other. Or as he enjoys to do, uses Adam's damn rock perk without me knowing. You do get some SWF who are just there to make your life a living hell, but there are more teams that just like to have fun and mess around.

100-150k only 1 single time or every day for logging in?

Just the one single day. I wouldn't wanna get too greedy, and that amount on a single day is enough to get through a few bloodwebs for extra cakes.

  • It's always this way during the day on EU servers. Once it get's later into the day, you get pretty much instant killer matches.

Yeah 50k is better than nothing. However, they shouldn't treat it like auric cells. Giving out bp won't harm anyone but only makes us happy, so why being greedy with it, right?

How much BP would you like to get?

I'd say maybe 100K-150K, simply because so many of us have spent a fortune in BP from wasted cakes, and attempting to earn the event items which seem to rarely appear. I'm glad that they are fixing it of course, but it's as you have said. Many of us have lost out on so much because of this bug.

  • 100% guarantee it's another 50k daily log-in bonus. Which I suppose is better than nothing, but with the patch being 'late next week', 50k would be a little cheap in my opinion.

  • I would much prefer her to have only 1 Iri Head. It's bad enough she's launching couches at survivors, but when 3 can down teams under a minute, there's some serious balance issues here. Hell, even Deathslinger can only down 1 person if he can spear them from a set distance with his Iri, and Clown still has to actually hit a survivor with his bottle and hit them to down a person. Huntress just lobs something at you from any distance and gets a nice easy down. I'm not saying Huntress shouldn't have power, but there's power, then theres over-powered.

He does not prove anything with those kind of vids. If anything, he proves that he is a decent player, but thats it (I would not consider him the best player, not even close, but well..)... He also streams at a time where the general player Skill in this area is lower. The good players mostly play in the evening. I face the same people tru3 does, and during the afternoon they are much easier to handle than those who play in the evening (on both sides).

And the REALLY strong players play at night, from what I can say.

So yeah, his experiment is flawed. First of all, he can only prove something if he would do KYF-Matches against skilled players - players where he knows that they are skilled. And second, if he wins like 15 out of 16 games or something like this, yeah, this is great. But if this happens with every Killer he is playing, can he really say that some Killer is underrated? Or that he, as the player, makes the difference?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1391626#Comment_1391626

He has a big ego and blames his own mistakes on other things. Like, if he loses a game, he is in general quite salty and blames that his opponents where in an SWF or are possibly using stretched resolution. And he is insanely one-sided, despite alway saying he plays both sides. You notice it when he checks new Perks for Survivors, they are all really strong and Killer Perks are always weak.

Like, if I compare it to Umbra (I watch her since a while, even tho I always only catch the end of her Stream), just yesterday she got a 3K with Huntress and said that it was her fault to not check the one Gen which got finished at the end. While tru3 would probably be like "Yeah, optimal team, nothing we can do, blablabla" (if he even would have managed to get a 3K..).

Have to agree with you on this. I used to watch Tru3 livestream a lot and at first he seemed a decent player. Seemed to know his killers and survivors. But as the weeks went on I started seeing his excuses for things. He focuses far too long on a single survivor in a chase, then blames SWF Gen rushing. Or, he makes a huge mistake somewhere and says they're 'Optimal players'. I've watched so many of his streams and you see the instant he makes a mistake and tries to play it off as something else. Not to say he's a bad player, far from it. He does have skill, and this is in no way an attack on him, but he really does look for any excuse to blame and it really put me off wanting to watch him anymore. It wouldn't be so bad if he could just accept that he made a mistake, but he never does.

  • My Deathslinger shots disagree. I like to let them sit in the exit watching that timer tick away, and boom, hold them in place just long enough for the entity to have a good time.

  • The way I see it, if a BT survivor decides to try bodyblock despite having the chance to run, I'm just going to assume they're ready for another chase.

  • It would be awesome to see Tonberry as a killer with his mini Chef Knife, but I don't think Square Enix would be down for a horror game. But it would be pretty funny to see, thats for sure.

  • All grabs are just broken. Go to grab a Survivor at a gen, whoops! You get dedicated and they run off. Grab at a locker? Dedicated again! Unhook grab? Nope, you get dedicated! Every grab I attempt just cancels the animation on me and they get to run off free.

Honestly if you like trapper, just play Hag. She's Better Trapper(tm) since she technically can place traps infinitely, starts with 9 of them, doesn't have to walk across the map to pick them up, and even teleports to them.

BHVR has proven incredibly incompetent when it comes to actually trying to balance their game and the very simple "Trapper should start with a bag and several traps" buff hasn't even been implemented after 4 years of Trapper being a bottom tier killer unless you basement trap.

It took them nearly a year of complaints before they removed sabotage being able to literally destroy trapper's traps and remove his ability. So don't hold your breath on this.

I rarely play Trapper anymore just because the setup pretty much costs you the game. I used to play Hag quite a lot but lost interest in her once newer killers got released. I might have to go back to her because she can be a lot of fun to use.

Dude its killers job to kill people, what does it matter if they sparkle or not, if its someone who is tripping its you fam

Yeah it is the killers job to do that. Not saying it isn't, but when I have sat and watched a killer go directly for a sparkling unhooked survivor, and completely bypass me or anyone else without it. Kinda obvious what is going on

  • For my most hated, it's a tie between Freddy and Spirit. Both are just Urghhh. But Freddy defintly takes the cake. Teleporting and PGTW a Gen? No thank you.

My favourite has to be either Ghostface or Scratched Mirror Myers. Both just scare the crap out of me when they pop up from nowhere, and I love it. Ghostface will one day kill me in real life from an actual heart attack!

  • Of course they will. It's a power trip. Killer's can essentially deny a survivor a cosmetic because all they have to do is finish a match. I've seen so many killers literally run down a survivor that sparkles, all because they can. I don't understand why the devs didn't just make it so Survivors had to collect it and boom, unlocked.

  • I've never understood why a killer named The Trapper can only carry 1 trap. It makes zero sense. Pig is able to carry 4 RBT's, but poor trappers arms hurt from 1? He needs to have access to more at the start of a match, because anyone who's played Trapper for more than a minute knows 2-3 Gens are gone before you even have anything set up decently.

  • I think it might have something to do with the hitbox itself. The way I see it, if a killer vaults a window but the survivor is close enough to essentially be 'inside' a killer hitbox, the game registers it like you got hit, forcing the killer to become passable. That's my theory on it, since I've had the same thing happen to me. I can always see a survivors plan to attempt it, and I don't move, but they still somehow manage to vault back through the window.

  • Well considering it was supposed to happen last year in the middle of the Year 3 Roadmap, I don't think it's coming anytime soon.

  • I play both sides, and I agree, both are far too strong. The key is just a instant escape with zero effort. I've had teams where 1 of them will hide in lockers the entire match waiting long enough to have hatch spawn, then proceed to wait on it to show off they're leaving. But, that said, those same people screw over the remaining teammates. Mori's are a complete joke. One hook and you can just be tunneled right off it and dead. No effort needed. I have tons of Moris and I refuse to use them for this reason. They literally reward poor gameplay. If I want to Mori someone, I'll use DH and then at least I have to actuall EARN that mori. I'm running into more and more killers lately that will just tunnel everyone off hook for the 'easy' kills. It's not fun, but if it were to happen to them with a key, they'd be the first to complain.

  • I don't see why not. Haddonfield just needs things shifted around and certain loops to be sealed off. I can't see it being a huge issue since in the Halloween Films, you mostly just see one single location, and it's usually indoors somewhere, where Silent Hill's map is directly based off Midwitch of Silent Hill 1 so they couldn't do much to alter that one.

  • Chances are, those are SWF abusing MM using a low rank to get put against a low rank killer. I see it all the time on PS4. I play solo, and I'm Rank 4, but there was a Rank 16 in our match, and the killer was only Rank 13. It's sad that people need these 'EZ Games' so much.

  • It seriously needs to be added. I play solo, and usually with my friend in SWF and both times I always try go for totems. Usually it's for my Inner Strength. When I play with my friend, we try keep track of totems we found, but Solo is a nightmare because nobody seems to touch them whatsoever, leading to NOED deaths. They could just add it to Small Game, since Killers have a totem count on their Thrill of the Hunt perk, so why not survivors too?

  • The Ghostface Chapter and Stranger Things are both my favourites I'd reccomend. Demo because as loud and unstealthy as he is, depsite him trying, is just too fun to play as. Nancy's perk Inner Strength is insanely good. Ghostface is just fun all around. I mostly use him just to mess around with survivors and play Peek-a-Boo over obstacles with them.

  • It could be server lag. I have some games on PS4 where I'll press the button on a Gen for a skill check but nothing registers, or while on hook it just decides I stopped pressing X. Also, some killer perks can cause you to stop doing interactions. Surge for Gens which forces you off, and Infectious Fright for most interactions.

  • I bought it, only because I'm a huge SH fan, and Lisa was always a favourite of mine. But overall, it's not worth it for the price since you have to use all or none.

First of all, it was a holiday yesterday in Quebec.

Second of all, it's more been 2 1/2 days, considering the holiday yesterday it's been 1 1/2 days, and not even that considering it took them some time to discover it's a bug.

    Have patience with the devs.

They already admitted on a post Day 1 they knew of the bug, then today admitted on another post they found the issue. How hard is it really to fix the number, and to make it stack? It's a literal copy of Bloody Party Streamer. It's really not that hard. It just seems they're dragging their feet because if they did work, P3 would be everywhere pretty damn fast.

  • This is pretty much my games every day. I only play solo, and I can guarantee 9/10 games, someone is panic throwing every damn pallet they can find, leaving the rest of us to pretty much die fast. Or, that one idiot that demands to heal beside a pallet, then drops the said pallet when a killer comes and blocks me in. God I love this game some days!

They must've been good sports then tbh. If you do decide to do that, I'd recommend just being chest defender Bubba for maximum entertainment

I'm actually tempted to do it, just for the lol's honestly. I had a PH try the same thing, but it just doesn't have the same feel to a chainsaw coming at you.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/165381/killer-adepts

It's best to go for killer adepts while your at the lower ranks simply because the high your killer rank, the more difficult and frustrating it becomes to get the adept achievements.

This. It took me over 30 matches just to Adept PH against red ranks, and I was only Rank 10. You either need to pray the team you VS is a team of potatoes, or wait till Rank reset to attempt it. Best advice is try get as many points in each catagory as possible. Try not let gens get done too fast, and try not to let survivors escape during chases. Easier said than done, and since it's directly tied to the emblem system, you could have an amazing game and still be screwed over.

Honestly it's been so long that I've been camped by a Bubba that I actually kinda miss it. It's a god-tier meme at this point lol.

This kinda explains the 3 messages I've received on PS4 today. Started playing Bubba for the first time and I got told I was 'playing him wrong, I should be camping in basement'. I mean, I always see it myself but really? Is it that much of a shock that someone doesn't camp with him?

Dead Harding for distance to get to pallets and vaults saves my butt so many times. One well timed Dead Hard can easily be the difference between getting downed or making it to the next loop and continuing the chase, which can buy ridiculous amounts of time.

If you're using it for the invulnerability frames in the middle of nowhere, it works once before the Killer knows you have it. Afterwards they just bait it and it doesn't do much.

Pretty much this. I usually get baited into a swing once, but once a survivor reveals it, I won't fall for it a second time. It's pretty much a 1 use perk for most survivors once a killer knows to expect it again.

I agree people are sensitive these days, but theres still no excuse for throwing around insults like that, gay or not. It's 2020. It's time to grow up and realise the world is full of different people. We don't need idiots like that trying to be funny just because its on the internet.

I'd rather they make the crown a separate cosmetic piece (like "accessory") that can be worn on any head cosmetic (or at least almost any, might not work well with Mr. Puddles) . It's pretty lame you're stuck with the default head if you wanna wear the crown, especially since the crown is floating behind them.

They could just make it use a charm slot and let it work that way. I prefer other head cosmetics over the default face for some characters. I don't mind so much with killers since I don't see their face while playing.

  • @CronaWins said:

    1. Play Leatherface
    2. Try get them to all work on the same gen by hitting the gen
    3. Rev your chainsaw around to appear friendly
    4. Rev your chainsaw, turn around and take them all down in one swing
    5. Profit

I actually did this earlier today, by complete accident. It was my first time using him, so I didn't realise you had to let go of the button to chainsaw. All 4 just went down like bricks as they were healing each other. I let them all go, but they must have thought I'd stabbed them in the back.

You are basically the only person saying this.

    @Topic:

The Map is still in the rotation. Got it once today. Fun fact: The Gens are not decorated and I think there was no Crown. So it might be possible that the chance to get it was reduced.

There is indeed a crown in Midwitch. I stumbled across it randomly while I was playing PH. It was inside the downstairs library room. I just randomly found it after I smashed the breakable door. So it does appear, but since the place is a maze, it's damn hard to find.

  • Are you legit shocked people are doing this? The killer is basically being handed a power. They choose wether they want to be decent and just say, why not, leave and earn that cosmetic. Or, I'm going to camp you and refuse you a cosmetic because I can. It's a power trip to many killers because they know many people just want to earn that cosmetic, but most likely won't because of killers like this. Personally, I always let the survivors leave if they have the crown. I'd rather they earn it for their survivors than have to struggle over and over trying to earn it.

  • If a killer chooses to camp one single person, then let them. They're just letting the remaining 3 complete Gens. 2 minutes on hook, 3 Gens could be completed within that time frame. The killer gains nothing BP wise, and will most likely depip from it. Yes, it's not fun for the survivor stuck on the hook, but it's the way many killers choose to play these days.

  • Some killers just have a hate for certain survivors. I started playing as Claudette again and I was getting tunneled 5 matches in a row. No reason for it. I don't T-Bag or click flashlights. I just did Gens, Totems and unhooks and I was target number one over and over. Sometimes there isn't even a reason. You're just 'there'.

I wish there wasn't any idea of rules for either side. As a survivor main, I never judge a killer's play style because that's just how they choose to play. There are no rules on how you're required to play.

While I may say, "wow, this killer is playing like an a**hole," I don't flame them in end game chat. Either I won't say anything at all or I'll say GG.

Don't let some of the toxic players get you down. You play how YOU want to play. You bought the game like the rest of us, now you get to play it as you wish.

Oh I don't follow their made up rules, beleive me. I do try keep my matches fair for everyone but I still get that one salty survivor who will message me with a lovely sentence, usually involving death. I don't let it get to me anymore. I'm playing for fun.

  • Use your Mori anyway you want. Don't let survivors make you feel bad for playing the game. You earned that Mori, so go use it. Personally, I welcome any Mori. They're more fun to see than dying on hook repeatedly.

  • I feel like we're so far into this vicous cycle of toxicity now, we can't get out. Not to say everyone who plays is toxic, but it's defintly influenced by matches. I'm guilty of it myself personally. I could have the worst match VS killer, and I'll be angry, make a build that will pretty much wipe a team, and in turn, they go to their next match feeling the same anger, and it continues. When I play now however, I try to show other players that not everyone is going to be like that. I'll keep matches fair, eg, no camping or tunneling. If I'm about to lose, so be it. I feel like if we just show that little bit of positivity each match, survivors and killers both would start to show it more in their matches. That's my hope anyways.

  • I've had maybe 3 Medkits and 2 Flashlights out of around 1M BP spent. I got tons of cakes though so I guess the items are just either bugged, or super rare, which makes no sense since they're just basic items with a flashy effect.

  • I really wish someone would publish this Killer's Rulebook because every single match I'm breaking some kind of rule. I mean, seriously, the games going to become a sit in the corner and wait till we leave simulator. How very dare we, as a killer, even think of touching the survivors until they're ready to leave. I feel like I need them to sign some kind of contract somedays that says I'm allowed to play my role.

  • I'm on PS4 and have zero issues. I mean, it's DbD. Killers will DC when they're losing and just can't face a loss.

  • Survivors who demand they must touch and heal you despite you trying to get a Gen done that's about to pop

  • Personally I think we should be able to keep everything we grinded to unlock, minus perks, since that's understandable. But items I do wish we could just keep each prestige

  • The perk is fine as is. You get 3 tokens to hide your aura from the killer alongside no scratch marks for X seconds. Why would it need to be buffed?

  • It's nice to see at least one killer doing this. I was doing this myself, but other killers, well they see that sparkle and you've just earned yourself a trip to the hook. I'm just seeing more and more killers ramming down survivors with a crown just because they can. But, saying that, there are also now survivors who will also just act as selfishly and let you die on hook just so they can hatch escape for the crown.

  • @kazakun said:

Well,I guess once you know. But in the moment you don't know if they are going to go the whole way over or not. So I suppose it's safer to assume they wont. I'm just saying if it's not intentionally put there,I label it as exploit. You can't hit em there, and if you go the whole way over and they don't,you got a long walk back.

Isn't that the pipe drop one? Pretty sure the killer just knocks them down as they fall. I saw it on a Monto video recently where he did it by accident and a PH just dropped down on top and he fell with him. Though it could be because of PH's size maybe.
