  • Can't tell you how many times a teammate has screwed me over. I play 95% solo and good god, if I had a penny for the amount of times I've had teammates play stupidly, I'd be rich. I'll always have that one survivor dive bomb a hook without BT and gets me re-hooked. Or that one survivor who just insists they MUST Self-Care, despite me running We'll Make It. Then you have the imersed survivor who tries to hide inside a bush while someones hooked and in struggle, despite the killer clearly chasing someone elsewhere on the map. Or, the best ones are the SWF teams I go against who decide to screw you completely and lead the killer to you repeatedly and body block you at pallets just so they can win without you. But, this is an online multiplayer game after all. You just gotta expect all this stuff unfortunatly.

I think survivors need to know about pig a lot more, I still find it one of the funniest things in the game when someone tries to leave with an activated RBT and all you can do is just stand there and watch them die at the gates

Those are the best deaths ever. I find it so cute when they just stand T-Bagging as their little party hat beeps away, and I'm just standing there waiting for the moment they realise the monumental mistake they just made. I've even had some survivors outright accuse me of cheating because of this death which is ironic since they were red ranks. You'd think a survivor that high would understand the killer mechanics.

  • Yeah I've had it happen a few times too. It's like there is the tiniest spot of PH's trail, but it's hidden below the map or something. It's really frustrating when it happens.

  • If I'm losing badly, I just hit someone then let them get to a gen. I let them just get points, then overall, we all earn points and its win win. I really hate when they offer a pity hook because it just shows me how god awful I played, and they deserve to all go free.

  • Honestly, from a SH Fan, I absolutly adore it, but when it comes down to actual matches, good god it is like praying you MIGHT run into someone. There are only 3 ways upstairs at the start. 2 stairways and a broken roof ramp. a 4th can open up if the killer breaks the doors at the toilets on the ground and 2nd floor. But seriously. By the time you've checked one side of the map, a gen pops on the other, and when you get there, they're literally standing where you just left. Overall, fantastic map for SH fans, but god awful for killers attempting to actually find someone easily.

  • You made a profile for a game you plan on leaving, only to complain about the game in hopes of? If you're quitting, you don't really need the forums validation for it. Hopefully you find another game you enjoy.

  • Could be a pyschological thing? The whole 'It's not your fault'. Maybe they want Deathslinger to finally open up and let out that pent up rage. Or maybe they just accepted that they're screwed. I like the first one personally 😁

  • I like to play both equally. I like to play a few matches as Killer, then switch over to some Survivor. Sometimes I'll focus more on one side if I'm aiming to maybe prestige someone or get a teachable unlocked.

  • I'd like the ability to at least discard add-ons or offerings that we don't need for maybe 10% of the BP back since I have far too many items I never use.

  • I wish I could see him more. He's one of my favourite horror game characters, and he is legit creepy when he's coming at you. But, I can see why he's not being used much. His power can be negated completly if you just crawl through his trails, and caging survivors puts the on the oppisite side of the map where their teammates likely are waiting. But, even then, I'd prefer to see him more than the constant Spirits I get.

  • Both have upsides and downsides imo. Surge can be handy if you combine it with Surv, since you can see when a survivor has gone to the gen, but the regression is pretty meh. Pop is great for the regression, but it also requires you to find a gen, which gives survivors more time to heal up and avoid the area.

  • Can't say I've noticed anything with him. I bought him today and he seems pretty normal on hits. There have been a couple times where I did a lunge and it connected when it really did seem like they were a miss, but beyond that, it seems normal

  • I've noticed that a lot of times, it's usually when a new killer or perk arrives on the scene, and many don't understand how to counter it and just ry 'OP, must nerf!'. There are way too many players who just don't take the time to learn and adapt. The first day of the PTB with PH had survivors screaming for PH to be nerfed since he can mini-mori, and avoid DS completely. Then there are others such as GF who, I will admit, was slightly broken since his snap out was kind of broken, but players screamed he must be nerfed because he can easily down someone. I've been guilty of it myself, thinking that a killer or survivor perk is OP because I didn't take the time to learn or adapt. But I suppose these days, too many players just don't want to take the time to learn new mechanics. They prefer to latch to whats familiar, and when that is shattered, they're left defenseless and have to figure out how to work around it. That's just my take on it all.

  • I kinda want them to make a log-in reward system now, and it doesn't even have to be 50K each time. They could just do what most mobile games do. Rewards get better as you play each day. Maybe throw in some unique charms or even free offerings. The 50k each day has really helped my grind since I rarely do the daily rituals anyway.

  • Yeah, I'm sure the game will die. Most definitly. Especially those people who keep buying the skins, survivors and killers each release. So much money should really kill the game. DbD may not be perfect, and it may make a lot of us want to smash out controllers, TV's or keyboards, but the entity has already claimed us all. Because whos REALLY reliving the trials over and over? The survivors or us? We'll be playing this game after we die because 'Death isn't an escape!'. But yeah, on topic, I'll save the date!

    1. See where downed Survivor's Aura is
    2. See which corner of map is the furthest from said aura
    3. Walk over to said corner
    4. Congratulations your friend drove over in their floating rectangle for a visit

Pretty much this. I vs'd a PH and was pretty much oppisite him on the map and as they caged, behind me appears a survivor. I was working on a Gen at the time, but it's insanely easy to rescue someone if you watch where he send them from which is a giant weakness for him.

  • I'd like to meet these killers who get so many Ebony moris! I've gone through over 100 bloodwebs from Level 50 for my Deathslinger and only got 3. I never use them anyway, but they're not as common as you'd think.

  • I find it depends on the time of day. I'm on EU servers, and survivor wait times are always long, around 5 mins for a match, where killer is pretty instant. Usually toward the evening it gets a little slower on survivor, but killer always remains the same.

  • One thing I never do in my matches is camp or tunnel. I like to keep it a nice fair game. But, let's face it. Survivors don't care that you want it 'fair'. They'll happily stand 3 feet away as you hook someone to pull the right back off then said unhooked survivor will taunt you so you fall for the BT hit. That's when I'll happily put you right back on that hook. Any survivor that acts toxic during a match, I'll happily act it back. Give and take after all.

Both look fine to me, but then again, I don't nitpick as much as this community does.

I think when it comes to Cheryl, there are a lot of SH fans (Myself included) that hoped she look more like her SH3 character. That being said, I could care less what she looks like honestly. I'm just happy one of my favourite horror characters is finally in DbD!

  • I mean, isn't all this kinda obvious after vs'ing him at least once? It's not really rocket science to figure out.

  • Wow, BHVR are pulling a super hard EA moment here. First they lock outfits to a single outfit or nothing, now they lock a theme behind a paywall that many don't even need since we OWN THE GAME! Why was the theme not included in the SH Chapter? I'm actually losing all faith in the game right now. SH is one of my favourite franchises and would have loved this theme, but like hell am I forking out £40 for a theme and the outfits when I already paid pretty much the same price for the base game alone.

It would be one thing if you had to buy the whole set but once you did you could mix and match, but all this accomplishes is restricting player choice for no good reason. It's not like Lisa where it's a whole new character. I think if anything this decision hurts your sales.

I have to agree. I don't understand why this, along with Legion's Robbie outfit is all a 3-piece link. Many people like to mix and match their outfits. I personally wanted to use the Alessa head with Cheryl's base outfit, just so it was a kind of Dark Alessa costume similar to SH3. BHVR needs to make it far more obvious than a icon, and a row of icons beside it's name. I can see that it's a linked outfit sure, but the 3 + icons makes me also think that this outfit must be bought together, where other outfits can be bought one piece at a time.

  • I had PH chase me into the locker room, only to have the body fall out of the locker mid-chase, which made me jump half a mile. I think the killer got jump scared too since they just froze on the spot for a few seconds. It was a pretty funny moment.

  • @Brawler said:

As far as I remember the Legendary outfits are also supposed to have different animations and sounds.

According to people who bought the Legendary outfit (Lisa Garland), there are no new voices. Only lobby animations and obvious face and outfit look.

To the OP, the outfit isn't really a Legendary since it's just a costume and doesn't change the killers look in anyway beyond the obvious costume, similar to Clown's elephant, but they seem to be making these new costumes a 'Must wear all 3'.

  • We go up against a sliced up ghost that warps around, a killer only able to murder in dreams, a clown that dresses as a giant elephant, and now a monster from another world, but yeah, the bunny outfits are the deal breaker I guess. I personally think it's amazing they're added. Robbie the Rabbit was always something that freaked me out as a kid in SH and now I get to see a life-like costume chasing me to murder me. This was either a extremely good bait topic, or you have no clue what Silent Hill has in it.

  • I love the fact there are throwback references to SH1 scattered in the map. Honestly, BHVR has done a way better job than Konami ever could with SH! Hats off to them!

Edited my original post. My first match against the new killer the red strip on the ground was definitely causing the damage. Saw the new killer again and this time the red thing didn't cause the hit.

PH has various moves. His trail he leaves which causes a debuff that allows you to be sent directly to a cage/hook without being picked up if you ran through it. His other move is using his weapon to shoot a linear attack at you, which is easily spotted since you see him slam the knife into the ground and you also hear him do it. You have a slight moment to avoid the attack as the AoE will appear before it actually hits you.

  • I'm having the same thoughts but on killer side. I seem to get constant Red ranks that are literally dive bombing hooks, only to be downed, then to have another repeat the process. Even when they're all safe, they proceed to Self-Care 5 feet away from a hook. I mean, Red ranks playing like complete potatoes. I mean, I was playing Deathslinger, but he's not THAT scary to cause survivor brains to melt in fear, right?

  • My build is Spies, Nurses, Discordance T1, and Thana. I like to call it my 'You Can't Hide' build. Spies comes in super handy when they try to duck around LoS blockers and lets you know where they're running toward, Nurses for when they've been hit/speared, Discordance for a cheeky possible snipe and Thana for Survivors who MUST heal and pretty much reveals their location to me. It's been a pretty successful build for me, though if survivors decide not to heal, I'm left with only Spies and Discordance for some info. But, I seem to always get survivors who insist on Self-Caring in 'hidden' spots, only to receive a nice spear for their efforts.

  • I just had a match like this with Spirit. Someone get's downed within the first 30 seconds, DC's. 2nd downs and their friend dive bombs the hook and downs too, both end up DC'ing too. Hatch was closed instantly and I'm left to decide wether to risk attempting to open a door or just let death take me. Pretty sure the other 3 were a SWF, but can't be sure, but man. People seriously need to stop dive bombing a hook!

  • I wish survivors would use those offerings for me. Every match, as killer or survivor is Coldwind or Autohaven. I haven't seen the other maps in so long, I actually miss them!

They also placed every room in the map to the same place like in the original, a lot details was puted into this map <3

Can't wait when this DLC will come out live <3

Same here. I will hoard all my Midwich offerings for when the new map is placed in the regular chance roll just to continue living out my childhood nostalgia

  • Wait a minute. A game that ended where everyone was... Nice?! What blasphemy is this? This is not my DbD! 😄

its not bannable, and i do it too. i wont play a match that has turned into bullying simulator. and i find ridicoulus that the killer doesnt have a surrender options. survivor can just kill themselves on hook(and i think it should stay this way until broken things in the game are fixed), but the killer has to "enjoy" the entire match.

Pretty much what I do. When the Gen count hits around 1-2 and I've making very little progress, I call it a day and let them get on with it. I'll smack them and let them heal, and they generally get the idea I'm done trying to win a losing battle. I won't DC or anything, because there's really no point. Survivors can just do their gens, and stand in the gates for 3 minutes for all I care. I'll happily watch some YT or do some housework until the match ends.

  • Seeing streamers play the map, I instantly recognised many areas from the original, but seeing the exact locations from the PS1 version to the DbD map, it's such an amazing attention to detail. This DLC really is the perfect love letter to SH Fans everywhere.

  • You rank is pretty much the right MM for their rank, so on that front, it's balanced. Yes, the meta perks are annoying, and creates boosted players too easily, but if you're getting frustrated by this, then take a break. You're Rank 1. The games aren't meant to be easy since the game has pretty much decided you're the best right now.

  • Pretty sure anyone who watches YT knows who Siren Head is at this point, and honestly, I'd prefer it never enter DbD. It's just another meme fad that got popular, same as Big Chungus and Slenderman. Siren Head will eventually fade off and another fad will take it's place.

I, quite literally, started playing two days ago, and was rather disheartened to find a lack of a casual mode or a practice/ai mode, especially since going into a match immediately after the tutorial and finding myself paired with people who have already played a fair few games had me fumbling a bit. I've learned as much as I can in that short window of time (It helped I had been watching the game for years), but I think it would be cool to see at least a practice mode, where players like me can try and test things out without the pressure of being paired with higher ranks and getting absolutely rolled haha!

I agree, there needs to be some kind of practice mode, beyond Custom which requires at least 1 other person to join. I started playing about a year ago now, and my first few matches were terrible. I had no idea what to do, where to hide or anything. I kept messing up skill checks which angered the other players, and I didn't quite understand about the use of pallets. Of course, the more you play, the better you get, but having a safe area to at least practice without the pressure of messing up and having to wait again would be better.

I don’t know why people are so obsessed with rank when it means nothing. I’m actually shocked when I realise the rank 19s I’ve been paired with are actually rank 1-4. It’s unreal the amount of people that don’t know the absolute basics of this game who have managed to crawl their way up to the top. Just further proof that ranking up as a survivor is too easy.

It's unreal how boosted some survivors really are. When I see someone Self-Caring in a corner somewhere while someones hooked (Thanks Kindred!), I just assume low rank. My assumptions are usually wrong and it turns out to be a red rank who usually lasts all of 10 seconds in a chase. Hopefully the new MM weeds out the boosted players.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

OMG Is that Princess Heart skin from the game or is it fan-made?

    It's gorgeous.

It's from SH3, one of the many unlockable costumes It was a VERY anime cutscene as she used it too. I REALLY hope they add it into the game. I loved Heather in that outfit, it was always one of my favourites.

I'd also love to see Dark Alyssa (The boss from SH3 at the Theme Park) as a possible skin.

  • I tend to try find a totem first, just so I have my Inner Strength active for emergency heals. After that, I'll find a nearby gen, and then scout out more totems just in-case of NOED, or other Hex perks.

  • It's really sad that just because it's the internet, people think it's fine to just attack other peoples ideas. The Claudette skin isn't something I'd use personally, but I actually think it's a good design. It's different and I like the idea of Claudette going full casual. So props to the designer for this!

  • Since they're complete character overhaul costumes, I'd guess they're be more than the premium only costumes. Hopefully not TOO much more as I really need Lisa for my Cheryl!

  • It's quite disheartening for a new player for sure, but the same happens on the survivor side too. I've seen many SWF teams use the same low ranked players to go against new killers just so they can get an 'EZGame', and again, teaches the new killer nothing beyond that they had zero chance of winning. I really do hope the new MM fixes all these things!

  • For me, personally, I always try to unhook without the killer nearby. I run both Kindred and Borrowed Time so I can see other survivors. Sometimes I've got no choice but to unhook with the killer close by to stop the survivor hitting struggle or dying, hence the BT. But, it really does baffle me when a survivor will just unhook you without BT when the killer stands by tapping his foot just waiting to smack you back down.

Sadly no. In Silent Hill 1 in Fog world he jumps out, in other world and dbd there is only blood in the locker.

If you haven't seen, that same locker room has the dead body fall out of a locker in the map too, the same as when it happens on SH1 in the Otherworld Midwich, which I think is an awesome attention to detail!

I was gonna buy the hd collection on... I believe my ps3... but I saw online they are apparently worse than the originals? And didn't get them.

I guess I can only get them on emulators currently...🤔

They were... Mediocre HD Remasters at best. I think PS3 got at least 'slightly' patched as in SH2, Fog literally got blocked by an invisible sphere around the main character. SH3 had a bug that caused the Submachine Gun to play broken firing noises, and it's entire cast was changed due to legal issues with past actors. SH2 kept it's original VA, but also had a new one too. SH3's was awful. But, I would still recommend them if you've never played SH before. It's an amazing game!

To the OP, Heather was her alias name after Harry defeated Alyssa in SH1 to protect her from the Cult, and she basically went back to Cheryl at the end of SH3 after defeating 'God'. Though, to me, she's always going to be Heather.

You want to report them for what exactly?

oni is camping, survivors are trying to bait a hit to unhook you, he isn't allowing it

you want to report them for trying?

They're clearly NOT baiting a hit at all. You see one of them nodding at the killer and then T-Bagging and pointing to the hooked survivor. If they were attempting to bait a hit, they wouldn't all stand there acting like idiots, and the killer would have hit them. They clearly did not get hit even though the killer had plenty of opportunity to do so. So they indeed work with the killer and taunted the OP for it.
