There are far far too many people that have zero capability to think rationally or logically.
-
If this forum is any indication here is the way to break it down. Ask yourself this question.
Does the issue affect me personally?
If the answer is yes it's definitely a game issue.
If the answer is no it's obviously a skill issue.
-
In my experience most survivors see teamwork in this game as other survivors have an obligation to help them, but they have no obligation to help anyone else.
-
YES! If BHVR gave every survivor the option to choose one killer they would never even be stuck in a lobby with I would choose Legion and there wouldn't even be a close second.
-
I have noticed this happens in over 75% of the matches where it gets down to 2 survivors. I have no problem accepting it as part of the game. I don't even have a problem with a killer that does it. For me I think it points too a mentality a killer main friend of mine has that I think is indicative of the way a large percentage of killer mains think, and yes my friend slugs the 3rd survivor every single match.
I asked him one time why he only played killer: below is his paraphrased answer
"If I am in some type of contest I want to dominate my opponent. I don't feel like I really won if I didn't annihilate them. That's hard to do as a survivor because the only way to feel like I totally dominated is if all 4 survivors escaped, and I can't control the other survivors."
But I think that is at least a decent part of the explanation for why you see this so often. There is a certain personality type that is very specifically drawn to play killer because it gives them the opportunity for that domination and annihilation.

basicly? the slugged one should go to a corner, and the other one should just hide. Killers do it because it works. Make it boring and not worthwhile for the killer, and they might stop.
If i play killer, i just hook, because i win the race for the hatch 80% of the time anyway.
This every time. If I am one of the last 2 survivors and the killer slugs the other one I will absolutely hide. It always amazes me that the killer behaviors survivors hate the most are usually the ones survivors themselves make the most rewarding.

In my opinion the only real fix for solo queue is not something BHVR can do anything about. A large percentage of solo queue players are only playing this game very casually. There's nothing wrong with that. They obviously have that right. However, that also means a lot of times they're not even necessarily playing to escape, and even if they are they're not looking to implement any real strategy to that end.
So those of us that play solo queue are going to get put on a lot of teams with people that just aren't playing the game strategically. I would be all for things like making Kindred basekit if I thought it would help. In my experience at least though I don't think it would make a difference. They could give solo survivors a million different ways to play strategically, but unless they want to utilize those strategies it's irrelevant.

As a killer I don't have a problem with Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, or Unbreakable.
I think Borrowed Time is pretty much a necessity and should just be a normal mechanic that you can't be immediately downed again right off a hook.
Decisive Strike is fine with me because most people that take it want to use it and will deliberately run around doing nothing for a minute trying to trick you into grabbing them from a locker or picking them up again.
If I leave someone on the ground long enough for Unbreakable to to be used, then good for them. That's the point of the perk.
I think everything about Dead Hard is overblown. Too many survivors think of it as their mandatory saving grace when they have no ######### clue how to use it and any one of a number of other perks would be far more useful to them than Dead Hard.
You don't actually need any of these perks to be a good survivor that escapes Trials regularly. These perks aren't Meta because they are a necessity they are Meta because people blindly take them without thinking, don't want to bother learning how to properly loop tiles, want to unhook people immediately, and can't keep their selves from not being able to just ignore a camper and not giving them the satisfaction of people trying to run in for an unhook.
Killer Meta perks are a different story though. I don't often run generators slowdown builds on characters, if I have any of them its going to be pain resonance and that's more about finding which generator has the most progress, but without them I routinely finish matches with 1 to 0 generators left by the skin of my teeth, unless the group is just really bad and I stomp them.
As a survivor main I agree with every bit of that. The biggest problems survivor have are the fault of survivors. The overwhelming majority of survivors utilize zero strategy playing this game.

I feel like it's mainly how boring gens are so if the game had like a different playstyle of you searching the map for parts and installing them it would be much more fun and appealing maybe.
I like that idea. I think there are lots of possibilities with that idea.
-
One that I think is underrated is Poised. I don't use it all the time, but being able to finish a gen and run away from it for 10 seconds without leaving scratch marks can often be really helpful. I can't count the times I have been able to finish off a gen even with a killer getting close and been able to run away leaving the killer confused. Most of the time they think I am hiding somewhere close by because they don't see scratch marks. They often spend 20 to 30 seconds trying to find me in the area of the gen and I've not only managed to get a long way away, but if it was the last gen it often buys me the time to open a door and get out before they realize what happened.

Like I can't do nothing every game is the same killers are getting 4kills every time and there is nothing you can do about it no one does gens and no ones helps while killers take the opportunity to tunnel and face camp.
Survivors that play with zero strategy is the biggest issue with solo queue. I had a match recently where I was the first person downed. There was some sort of glitch. Once I hit the ground I couldn't move, the killer couldn't pick me up, and I wasn't progressing towards death because the progress meter for that never showed up. The killer stood there trying to pick me up for several minutes. During that whole time none of the other 3 survivors attempted to do a gen. They just snuck around the area I was laying. I can only assume they were all trying to be the first one to rescue me. Not only did they not complete a gen in several minutes time, but they none even did a second of a gen. I finally just DC'd and took the penalty. The majority of solo queue survivors don't seem to play this game with escape as their main objective.

Cross platform messages aren't a thing. So, I ask again. How would I message you and tell you that I'm farming.
You wouldn't because I turned off cross platform long ago. Once again though that is irrelevant your constant refrain of "just do gens and leave". While that is indeed the only option I have in that situation I am under no obligation to think as you do about it. I have the same right to not like it as you do to have no problem with it. Regardless of how much you think everyone is required to share your opinion it isn't going to happen.

Another note, how is anyone going to message you to let them know they're farming? Telepathically? I'm not Charles Xavier. Just do gens and leave.
I've received messages multiple times from killers before matches saying they are going to farm, asking for help to do a challenge, etc. They have that option, at least on Playstation. I can't speak for any other platforms. So that's how. Once gain just because it doesn't bother you personally to be in a farming match doesn't mean that I or anyone else has to agree with you. Every time I am in that situation I "just do gens and leave" as that is the only choice I have. But I am under no obligation to like it or approve of it just because it's what you think. If you notice though I have never once told you that you have to dislike it just because I do, but for some reason the fact I don't share your opinion seems to be a real issue for you. It doesn't bother you. Cool. It doesn't have to bother you. I'm not asking you to make it bother you. But I don't have to share your opinion. That's one of the biggest reasons this forum gets so contentious. People think everyone else has to agree with them.

But you're also free to do gens and leave lmao. So no, you're not being "forced" to do anything.
If you were being FORCED. That would mean the killer is actively stopping you from doing gens while also refusing to hook you, etc. That, we can agree, is a problem.
But nobody's forcing you to stay in the game when you can go do gens while the rest farm, if that's your issue lol.
tldr: you don't want to participate? Do gens and leave.
Let me put it this way so maybe it's more clear. No one can force me to farm once I get into a match where everyone else is doing so. On the other hand if I am not given the option to opt out before the match begins then I am very much forced to take part in a match where everyone else is farming whether or not I wanted to take part in that match. Can I just do gens and get out. Yes. That is what I do. But I am under no obligation to like it or want to do it just because that's how you feel about it.
tldr: can I be forced to farm? No. Can I be forced to take part in a match where everyone else is farming. YES
-
This game is SWF sided. If you create a balance between killer and SWF's the solo queue becomes nearly unplayable. If you create a balance between killer and solo queue SWF's have a huge advantage. I believe the only fix is to make all the advantages of SWF basekit for all survivors and then balance accordingly. If all survivors (solo or SWF) are on equal footing you could possibly create a better balance between killer and survivor.
As long as there are 2 tiers of survivors with one being significantly stronger than the other it is pretty much impossible to create balance.

That y'all can't make up your mind with how the game is supposed to be played. I'm a survivor main (Dabbling in killer to do tomes so I can prestige my survs.)
But you will never catch me on the forums complaining about a killer giving me the HATCH 💀 "Oh no, a killer isn't playing in a way that will make me angry (Camping, tunneling, slugging for 4k.) so let me make this a problem as well!!!"
Do y'all want sweaty games or do you want chill games? Why not both?
I'm so sorry I don't care about a 4k and just wanna do tome challenges or daily rituals. Imagine being upset because you got more bloodpoints. Like huh.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2961167#Comment_2961167
Then do gens & leave. Take the bloodpoints and go. If they're not holding the game hostage by doing it then it's not an issue. Nobody's "Forcing" you to farm.
If a killer does not send a message before the match that they plan to farm I am forced to take part in a match where others are farming whether I participate or not. So yes, I am forced to take part in a match that I don't want to participate in
-
I'm a survivor main and I absolutely hate farming. I wish killers would send a message before a match loads. I would happily leave the lobby and wait for another match. If others want to do it that's their prerogative. I just hate being forced to do so because as with the OP I am playing to play the game. Not farm. If I'm the last survivor I don't care one way or the other if they gave me the hatch. The only thing bothers me in that situation is if they slug me and just leave me there to bleed out.

I had no idea they were mostly bots. I guess it's a way to level up your killers quickly. In my opinion it makes them the kind of person I don't want to know, but that's just me.

Survivor main here. I will suicide on first hook, and the reason is always the same. Ridiculous teammates. Just a couple of examples:
1 - A team of survivors that immediately pull each other off hooks with the killer standing right there (even without BT)
2 - A survivor in the match that is obviously only there to sabotage the other survivors
I was just in a match a few minutes ago where the 3 other survivors all stayed in one corner of the map until they were all dead. They just kept pulling each other off hooks with the killer standing right there. In the time it took me to complete 2 generators they were all dead. I am getting paired up with more and more survivors that play in various modes of idiocy like this. If I get hooked while playing with these types I will suicide on hook. I see zero point in sticking around for survivors that want to play clueless.

@Sumnox said:
Because most people playing this game are incompetent and don't know how to play effectively.
You are 100% correct. As a survivor main I fully believe if even 50% of survivors played with any strategy whatsoever killers would have to receive major buffs just to keep up.
-
I had quit playing this game a few months back because I had completely burned out. I decided to try it again recently to see if I was able to enjoy myself after a break. I'm probably about to quit again because as a survivor main matches against this version of Legion are simply miserable and I am getting lots and lots of matches against him. I get that the reason for that is not that Legion is OP, but that most survivors simply aren't playing with the proper strategy against him.
It wouldn't even be so bad if it matches against him were quick when survivors played with poor strategy. Unfortunately that isn't the case. Due to Legions mechanics playing with poor strategy against him makes the match not only miserable, but prolonged misery. It's unfortunate, but the strategy to use against him is almost counter intuitive to the strategy against most other killers and I can see how that would seem overpowered to someone that isn't aware of it.
In my opinion this type of thing is going to be the biggest issue BHVR has going forward. When you look at the fact this game is up to almost 30 survivors and almost 30 killers the amount of perks and powers alone can be overwhelming for casual players. Factor in the exponentially larger amount of variables that comes from the possible combinations of those perks and powers and the strategy for this game is far from casual. It requires not only far more playing time than most casual players have, but it requires research to understand. Casual players aren't going to do that. So simply put.... casual players are going to see anything that isn't straightforward and easy to understand as overpowered. To be fair for them those things likely are overpowered.
I think that does mean Legion is likely to get nerfed. I won't even say that is completely fair. At the same time I don't know if this game (or any) can survive without the casual players, and BHVR has created a behemoth at this point that is not user friendly to the casual player.
-
The biggest thing to take into account here is for BHVR this game is a business and the goal is to make money. That isn't meant as a critical statement. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, when you look at it from that perspective that means BHVR is looking at making changes to the grind for one of two reasons:
1) They think not making changes will decrease profits
2) They think making changes will increase profits
Of course making changes is often a combination of the two, but they aren't putting in the costs involved with making changes if it isn't beneficial financially in some way. That's why you still have things in this game like getting a skill check the moment you stand up from a generator yet having no way to hit it because you don't even get the skill check graphic. That little bug may be frustrating to players, but it isn't costing BHVR money. You can bet if it was costing them money it would be fixed in the next update. Once again that isn't meant as critical. It's just to say they have no incentive to fix something unless they think it will in some way positively affect their bottom line.
I won't pretend to know all the variables that will go into determining what action they want to take in regards to the grind. From a players perspective the best we can hope for is whatever action they think will be most profitable for the company is also beneficial to the players.

it's not fun for the person being camped
it's not fun for the people who have to sit on gens and leave and depip afterwards cuz they had no chase interaction or altruism points at all because how the killer played.
solo q does not have the tools to tell if a person is being camped or not for them to counter that and the survivors you're talking about are clearly new to the game to try to save against a bubba with kindred in play or maybe they just wanted to actually try to do something fun instead of sitting on gens.
facecamping is an issue and this was confirmed by the devs you can call it a strat all you want but don't cry when they actually manage to fix it (hopefully like they promised copium) and it gets you no where afterwards.
While I realize there are newbies that don't get it sometimes it's not just newbies that do it. I've played this game for years and watched as lots and lots of experienced survivors do this on a consistent basis. It happens far too often to even blame the majority of it on newbies.
Camping is a strategy. As a survivor main I can guarantee I won't cry if they do something to lessen it though because I agree with you that it is extremely boring for all survivors in the match. I would love to see that happen. Until then though killers that utilize camping as a strategy have zero incentive to change. Why do anything different when survivors will basically hand you a 3k or 4k every match and all you have to do is basically stand around and accept the gift they freely offer.
I guess what I'm saying is I don't like camping. I don't even understand how playing that way is enjoyable. But the bottom line is I don't have to find it enjoyable. The only person that has to enjoy it is the one doing it. So unless BHVR decides to do something to make it less effective it's up to survivors to do so. Unfortunately the majority do just the opposite.
-
There are 3 words in your post that illustrate what I think is one of the most confusing things about survivors that complain about camping - "inevitable save attempt". This is a strategy that should yield at most 2 kills per match. However, anyone that has played this game on a regular basis knows that isn't what happens. I sat and watched my wife play a match just yesterday against a Bubba. She was the first person hung, and it was in the basement. She was running kindred. So everyone could see this Bubba didn't even leave the basement. He didn't even take a step away from the hook. Yet within a few seconds another survivor comes running down to unhook her. Of course this being a Bubba they were instadowned and hooked. You would think this would have served as an example for the other 2 survivors to not go running down to the basement. Nope. A few seconds later here comes another survivor. Same result. The fourth survivor ended up creeping around the shack until the other 3 were dead.
If these other survivors would have played with even the slightest bit of strategy and decided to do gens while this Bubba camped the first person on the hook. They could have easily knocked out 3 gens before she even died. Instead 2 of them marched down the basement to get hooked like they have some obligation to go to a certain death in an attempt to unhook the person being camped in the basement. I get altruism, but that isn't altruism.
The problem with camping isn't the killer. They aren't breaking any rules by camping. If survivors want to see camping become less of a thing stop playing in ways that reward it. Survivors willingly sacrificing themselves to camping killers provides them with all the incentive they need to keep camping. Why stop camping when survivors will basically reward you for doing it by presenting themselves for easy kills?
As for killers that camp..... I say go for it. No need to feel bad about utilizing a winning strategy, especially when survivors are the ones that make it that way.
-
I have always wondered why BHVR won't do that. The biggest balance issue this game has is because of the disparity between solo queue and SWF. If you try to create balance between SWF and killers the solo queue survivor ends up at a huge disadvantage. If you try to balance between killer and solo queue survivor you end up giving SWF a huge advantage. If you try to create a balance between killer and somewhere in the middle of solo and SWF survivors you end up with survivors and killers still at a disadvantage.
It should be easier to create balance between killers and survivors if you don't have one group of survivors competing at a huge advantage over the others.
-
I played with a Bubba a little bit ago that hung a survivor on one corner of the swamp and the very next moment they were right next to me in the opposite corner. Another survivor pulled me off hook before I could die. I just got up, went to the bathroom, got a drink, and waited for that one to be over. It's something I will never understand. I can't even begin to comprehend how playing that way is enjoyable. All I can say for sure is when I see that happening I just get up and walk away until the match is over. I won't give a cheater the satisfaction of even watching me attempt to get away from them.
-
I always find the whole "toxic behavior" thing interesting. I suppose everyone has different mindsets about such things. We are all allowed to find whatever things toxic we would like. For me the only behaviors I find toxic are ones where someone is intentionally sabotaging the game for myself or others.
I played against a killer recently that hung a survivor on the complete opposite corner of the swamp from me. The moment after hanging that survivor they were right next to me. For me that was toxic. They were obviously cheating. That prevented everyone else from being able to enjoy the match. On the other hand I played against a killer just a minute ago that nodded and spun circles both times they downed me before picking me up. After hanging me they nodded again and spun circles. They were gloating. So what? They got the best of me. They in no way prevented me from playing the game. If I choose to let that offend me that is on me. Not the killer.
On the survivor side I played a game a few minutes ago with a survivor that walked up while I was doing a generator. I was in a corner. They stood there completely blocking me from moving. That was toxic. They prevented me from playing the game. On the flip side I played a match just a few minutes ago with 2 survivors that were obviously playing together. They stayed together the whole match. They ignored myself and the other survivor completely. Is it incredibly stupid strategy for 2 survivors to constantly stay together allowing the killer to basically get a 2 for 1 every time he gets near you? Yes it is. Is it counterproductive to completely ignore other survivors that could help you escape? Yes it is. However, I doubt they were intentionally trying to sabotage the game for anyone. They were likely just 2 friends enjoying playing together. I could have chosen to be offended or simply moved on to the next match and realized it wasn't worth the emotional energy to let it bother me.
-
To really be successful at this game and get full enjoyment requires keeping up with the constant changes and additions. There are lots of people that only play this game or any other on a casual basis.
When I was playing this game on a regular basis I looked forward to the additions and changes. New challenges to learn and overcome were fun. Now that I only play casually those constant changes and additions are just annoying. I don't have time to learn and adapt to all of it. The changes and additions can be overly difficult to deal with for someone that's doesn't have the time and/or desire to constantly be learning something new along with learning to adapt to it all.
I think that's likely where a whole lot of the disagreement about what is OP, what needs to be nerfed, what needs to be buffed comes from. Someone that only plays a few matches per week is likely going to find certain things much more difficult than someone that plays several matches every day.

Ok. Thanks. I guess I get to chalk this one up to simply not remembering.
-
In theory I agree with you. In practice my experiences as a survivor main are that the issue in this situation is generally not the person on the hook. It's almost always the survivors that aren't on the hook. While one person is on the hook being camped you have at least 2 if not all 3 other survivors crouch walking near the hook just waiting for an opportunity to run in and perform an unsafe hook rescue. I am more than happy to wait on a hook as long as I possibly can against a camping killer to let other survivors have time to do gens. However, if they are all going to sneak around the hook hoping for an opportunity to pull me off I will go ahead and kill myself on the hook. It is of no benefit to me or them to sit there while they do nothing but sneak around. Call me callous, but if the other survivors on my team don't want to play intelligently I have zero problem killing myself on that hook and letting them pay for playing stupidly.
-
If you aren't cheating you aren't being toxic. For most people toxic means nothing more than "I'm so insecure that I take everything personally even when I'm playing a video game".
I mean I can't stand killers that slug as their whole strategy, but that doesn't make it toxic. It just means I don't like it.
-
I play on PS4 as a survivor main. I get a message once every 20 or 30 matches. It's almost always from another survivor telling me what they dislike about how I played. I've noticed something about the survivors that feel the necessity to tell others how they should have played.....
They are almost always the same survivor that is completely oblivious to the fact the way they play makes them a killers best friend.
-
The way points are allocated for specific survivor actions has always been ridiculous. The main objective for survivors is to do gens so they can escape yet when it comes to the points awarded for doing gens it is by far the least rewarding. You can escape after doing all 5 generators by yourself and still have less points than someone that cleansed totems and pulled people off hooks.
That isn't minimizing the person that was performing the hook removals. If that wasn't happening no one would have time to do generators. Both people in this scenario played an important role. The points awarded would make it seem like only one played an important role though because the person that performed hook removals is going to have more points than the person that did generators. Usually they will have significantly more points.
-
I can actually get a lot of utility out of poised. The first benefit is it often allows you to make a clean getaway after finishing a gen even if the killer is near. The second benefit is since the killer doesn't see scratch marks indicating someone ran away they will usually spend a little while searching for someone they assume to be hiding in the vicinity.
It has some of the same benefits as diversion or deception in that it will trick a killer into spending time searching for someone that isn't there, plus it has the added benefit of giving you 10 seconds of running without leaving a trace.

I would do a sanity update of the game. Stoping to create any content for the game, and just work on properly re-making the game.
This is the one thing that would make me play this game regularly again. I used to play this game countless hours. The thing that finally pushed me to the point I rarely play anymore is the fact that there are so many little things that need to be fixed. For me the perfect example of this is that after all the time this game has been out you can stop working on a gen, hear the sound for a skill check, and even though that skill check doesn't appear on screen you will "miss it". To a degree things like that may be minor, but there were countless times this alerted a killer to where I was at because I "missed" a skill check that was impossible to hit.
Having said that I don't expect BHVR to ever do anything about such things. For BHVR this is a business and they are in it to make money. I'm sure it comes down to a cost benefit analysis. They are going to make far more money putting new content out than they are going to lose by the few people like me leaving because of these issues. So in the long run the small issues aren't going to be fixed unless they start causing losses that make a difference to their bottom line. That's honestly not even a criticism. It's how business works. I get it.
-
Once upon a time I played this game a lot as a survivor main. These days I mostly just watch others in my household play. A few days after Pinhead came out my wife was playing. One game in particular she heard the sound of chains as the match started and handed me the controller. She told me she wanted me to play a match against Pinhead to see how annoying it was.
I had no clue. I had watched her play several matches against Pinhead. That in no way prepared me for how incredibly bad it was to play against him. I have never been more frustrated playing this game than the times those chains activated. They made that match absolutely unenjoyable for me. If I had not already been to the point I rarely play this game that would have been the moment that pushed me over the edge.
I'm not even claiming the chains are unfair or overpowered. They didn't prevent me from escaping. It was just the single most unenjoyable element of this game I have ever run across. My wife summed it up like this: "If you told me before a match started I had the choice of playing against Pinhead and escaping or playing against any other killer and not escaping I will choose not escaping every single time."

1) If someone is not breaking any of the rules of DBD they are not playing unfairly
2) Your opinion of how anyone else should play DBD is completely irrelevant
If people understood those 2 things half of the posts in this forum would be unnecessary.

As a console player I can't speak to anything as it pertains to Steam or PC, but I can tell you the reason I left the game a few months ago. I can also tell you that after today it will likely be months before I even attempt to play again.
I play on PS4 and loaded DBD for the first time in months today. There is a huge lag when hitting buttons for skill checks. I reassigned the button twice just to make sure and the lag is still there. It was. This is the biggest reason I quit playing the game in the first place. There was always some sort of issue. Controller lag, video lag, or some various other issue that makes the game unplayable. I loaded 3 games other than DBD just to see if there was any lag in those. There wasn't. Every button on every other game worked without any lag at all. I would say this was likely the last time I will ever attempt to play DBD. If BHVR doesn't care about making the game playable for those of us on console why bother?

Every button on every other game worked without any lag at all.
So for me the answer is one that sadly does not shock me at all. It's not even a little bit better. It seems BHVR is still far more concerned with new chapters and cosmetics than they are with making the game playable for those of us on console. I guess they make most of their money with those on PC and the rest of us can just get bent.

There's far too many people in this world that only care about one thing...... Something to complain about. If you give them reason to stop complaining about I've thing they'll just find something else.

I personally hate slugging. For me that hatred comes from when I used to play killer. If I chose to slug it was as close to a guaranteed 4k as I could get. It was like turning on God mode. There was little to no challenge.
That's fine if you're playing killer, but it made me despise it when I played survivor because I knew from personal experience a killer that utilized slugging effectively was almost completely unbeatable. It's not fun to play in a match where you know your practically assured your going to lose.
Having said that I'm not trying to claim it's unfair. It's just my personal reason for despising slugging. The last time I played killer this game was probably about a year and half old. There's been a lot of changes. It may very well be that slugging is no longer as over powering as it once was, but I developed such disdain for it I've just never gotten over it.

Visually beautiful map. Layout is awful. It seems like BHVR has given up trying to be original. As soon as i heard they were going to go RPD I thought "Oh, yet another indoor map with narrow hallways."
I hate this map more than any other.

I play survivor exclusively and I never want to farm. I don't care if all 3 of the other survivors DC'd in the first 10 seconds. I'm not opposed to letting the killer hang me and be done with it in that situation so we can both move on to the next match, but the moment a killer makes it obvious they're farming...... that's the only time I DC. I'd rather take a 5 minute penalty for a DC then spend 10 minutes farming.

As a killer in terms of his power he is fine to play against IMO. But no exaggeration the majority of the Nemesis players I've faced this past week have been fierce tunnelers. Even at five gens. Its not made facing him a pleasant experience for me.
Same experience. Nearly every match I've had against Nemesis they have tunneled to a far greater extent than I've seen in a long time. I've seen several matches where a Nemesis has completely ignored survivors right next to them to go find the one they're tunneling. Don't get me wrong. That's their choice. It's just been really strange to see.

My PS4 issues are constant "no network connection" errors when though there's no issues with my network. Constant "could not connect to RTM server" errors today. Being booted from lobbies for no apparent reason, and the latest today is loading up and the game treats me like a brand new player. I've got over 4 years of purchases and bloodweb acquisitions no longer there. Every option is locked out other than the tutorials.
It's reaching a point of being beyond ridiculous. This is my one of my favorite games ever, yet it's the only one that has ever given me anywhere close to this amount of issues and trouble. There's not even a cost second. If you took all the problems I've ever had with every other game I've ever played and added them together that number would be exponentially less than the problems I've had with DBD in just the last week.

I agree BHVR keeps coming out with killers with m2s that make it a 50/50 at every pallet its just repetitive and unfun
BHVR lost want semblance of creativity long ago.

My worst moment has honestly been when the realization hit me yesterday that adding Resident Evil, my favorite game franchise ever, to DBD actually made me like this game less.

If this isn't the largest map in the game I would be surprised and large maps favors survivors already, add the fact that there is multiple floors and only a few ways to travel between floors? Makes it so survivor sided it's not even funny.
The fact that the map is similar to Azarov's Resting Place with the gen split, the killer is forced to either play west wing or east wing not both since it will be impossible to defend. And even then, the muiltiple floors makes even that almost impossible do deal with. If survivors manage to repair one gen in each wing it's over, just like on Azarov.
In my experience survivors don't fair as well in indoor maps. My experience is merely anecdotal so take that for what's it's worth. The thing I dislike about maps like this one is the mere fact that it makes it nearly impossible to escape the killer once he has you in his sights. At least for some of us.
I can certainly understand that a big map makes it harder for killers. I think my wording in the other comment was not quite as good as it should have been. What I should have said was this: Chases on indoor maps seem to be over much quicker than on others. And the majority of the time they end in favor of the killer. Again, that's what I've seen.

New content for DBD has been little more than shameless money grabs for at least a couple years
