Then you see in tournaments, she's doing just fine, not overpowered, not underpowered.
Also play Nurse, and you'll know she has counterplays called walls, rocks, trees, and even sometimes pallets.
She's perfectly fine. Her only problems lie in her range add-ons, and the iri one that gives an extra blink. But her basekit is fine.

You're kind of rude ^^
You make the mistake of thinking I care about your opinion of me at all lol
it's incredible how people can't talk about LGBTQ[a-zA-Z]*
Get the acronym right and maybe you won't be seen as a bigot. It's not difficult- 4 letters, actually, or 5 characters are all you need. LGBT+. You can make it LGBTQ+ if you want but LGBT+ is fine. As it stands, the second someone makes a keysmash joke they're automatically seen as being anti-LGBT+ because it's an insensitive, tone-deaf, and quite frankly unfunny joke to make.
while criticizing some parts of the movement, and everything they will say will be turned again them as being homophobic
Criticising the movement? No that's fair game. It's when it turns into blatent transphobia, homophobia, LGBT+ erasure, etc. that it starts to become an issue. And, thankfully for me and not so thankfully for you, the person I was responding to has been homophobic and transphobic in other threads, and if I was allowed to post deleted comments I would more than happily supply you with ample evidence. As it stands, I enjoy not being banned, so my word and the words of others in this thread are all you'll get.
Also, just for future reference, the "I have _ friends I'm not homophobic/transphobia/racist" line is literally used to excuse someone being homophobic, transphobic, or racist so... Yeah not the best excuse to pull.
Anyway have a great day and remember, I really don't care about your opinion of me
https://c.tenor.com/xwJBbeEMytcAAAAC/scream-queens-chanel-oberlin.gif
"Anyway, have a great day and remember, I really don't care about your opinion of me", wow that's another level of hypocrisy, you're too much insisting on that, for someone who wishes to someone to have a great day, it's unnecessary.
On the topic again, I know what are the letters but it's just, uhh, yeah it's just too much, and, you know, I wasn't typing anything like an idiot after the LGBTQ, this is called Regex. And it's not a joke, it's just to point out the fact that it's unnecessary complicated for an acronym, I mean, yeah to some you can say LGBT+, others will spit you on the face for not saying the other letters.
Oh and YES, it's tiring to see how companies makes LGBTQ things a business, and everyone is happy. If someone recognise LGBTQ people as being completely common and normal, you wouldn't make a big deal about it. I don't think we're making any advertising for straight and/or cisgender people- or should I say, I'd like people to stop stomping and insulting cisgenders. That's why I clicked on the OP post.
You don't have to be on the defensive like that, we're just talking

True, it's just that i don't think Big Daddies really fit as a killer compared to characters like Splicers or Big Sisters.
Also you could probably make a Big Sister work by taking inspiration from Oni's power. Basically you would collect Adam from downed Survivors in order to boost your power to make it more lethal when you use it and the more she gathers, the more lethal she becomes.
She would basically be to Oni what Ghostface is to Myers
Dude, Adam gathering would be sick xD Imo there is potential in both characters with the good ideas !

Wouldn't a Big Sister be more fitting as a Killer though considering how unstable and confrontational they are?
Yeah I thought for a second about it, but she's so fast and habile that it would be so sad to just see her being an only 4.6 m/s killer, or she would have a snowball power like the Oni.
I mean, it's far easier to put a Big Daddy as a killer in DbD than a Big Sister, do you know what I mean ?

Eyrie. While not great is totally acceptable, I wouldn't mind seeing more maps to this realm.
RPD is a mess
I want an aquarium map. With green murky water and shadows of horrible underwater creatures sneaking about, plus we could get a new map jump scare by having a giant sea creature ramming against the glass(like the locker on midwich)

They need to start bringing maps to every chapter again. There is no excuse anymore that realm beyond is wrapping up, better yet give some chapter 2 maps to a realm , the more maps the more the game feels different each trial.
And not a map like the RPD ;_;

In a modern standard but does not reflect what Omega Blink actually was two years ago.
Yeah they were far more powerful before, Nurse was far more powerful in every possible way.
People tend to forget that in tournament she's far from 4k'ing every game. She's fine, the double range is currently a problem, but she's fine (well, it depends also on the map but it's like that for a lot of killer, if not all of them).

I like the Haste status. It's a clever way of bringing killers back after they commit to a break action. It's not game breaking, but it's nice.
Honest, I thought buffing them could be done by extending their numbers and making them effect separate interactions... such as...
~
Brutal Strength:
Break actions, Grab, Pickup, Locker search, and Drop animations are 15/20/25% faster. Breakable walls are broken 30/40/50% faster.
~
Fire Up:
Description: “You’re only toying with them – but if they test you, they will see your true strength.”
For each generator completed, increase the speed of breaking, vaulting, picking-up/dropping actions, locker search, and missed attack recovery by 3/4/5%. When the final generator is completed, gain 5% Haste.
Flavor-text: “’Why are you screaming? I haven’t even cut you yet.’ – Freddy Kruger”
~
I love your Haste idea, I may have to change mine around to incorporate that! It's very smart!
What do you think?
I actually like the Fire Up change proposal !

Overheating was a decent change. It was to combat Billys who would just hold chainsaw fully revved and go around a loop until they could drop it at an ideal moment where it was basically undodgeable. Having overheat means you actually have to have some semblance of skill to work out when the right time is to charge it up.
Personally I think they should remove it, but reduce Billy's speed while revving, as he currently drop to 100% speed which allows him to keep looping until a window arises. If they make him lower like 90-95% then you can chainsaw all you like, but holding rev at a loop would still be nerfed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2919748#Comment_2919748
Bubba tantrums if he charges for too long, and can't use his power to go an infinite distance.
Yeah but he has to collide to go in tantrum, a thing a good Bubba will never do, and this is truer in a facecamping case- also the chainsaw swinging overspeeds the BT speed boost, so even if you manage to unhook with BT, you'll be down still.
A facecamping hillbilly will always down one guy, and you can still juke him because of the high sensitivity and speed the chainsaw rush provides.

@[Deleted User] said:
I can forgive making bad changes because making games is hard. I have a harder time forgiving how stubborn they've been about reverting the changes that went over so poorly.
"Our data says Billy was overpowered." Ok, what was overpowered about him? What exactly were you trying to fix? Why can't players be expected to drop pallets?
They didn't even say that, they clearly said, they said that he was a symbol of balanced blablabla and so they decided to bring him some tweaks. It was horrendous.
-
I love to overheat because I try to do only chainsaw and practice it, but the game says "No, you're punished for using your power".
I mean, he's nowhere strong as Bubba when camping, but the latter doesn't have any overheating #########.
-
Even though DH is more largely used to gain distance, I think IFrames are way less legit than distance. DH is more or less fine, but seems not fair because frustrating (happens everytime you're finally in position of downing the survivor).
I hate when you managed to outplay a DH distance, but you got IFramed (your chainsaw is stopped by the IFrame as Hillbilly, same for some lunges, depending on the situation, even if you would have hit)

@WesCravenFan said:
This is not that weird.
You got 4 survivors. If three of them all spawned on a gen that is like 2 seconds to get on the gen. And then probably 76 seconds to knock it out after you count in all the skill check gains.
90 seconds is enough time for three Survivors to blow 3 gens and still about ABOUT 10 seconds left over.
And this is not counting Spine Chill bonuses, toolboxes, or Brand New Parts.
Everything is said here, it's not a gen speed problem, it's not a map problem, it's a spawn problem.
Imo, the 4 survivors should always spawn together, the farest possible from all generators (computer science graph lessons are haunting me). Gens being the objective, it isn't right that survivors start the trial literally in front of a gen, I think.
I mean, imagine if the killer started 5 meters from a survivor. That would be the same thing (okay, exaggerated but you got the point).

No one said you're at that level. In fact, I think I said the exact opposite. Most of us (myself included) AREN'T at that level and that's okay.
But when playing against people on your level, you losing with certain characters has more to do with your skill level with that killer than it has to do with the killer itself because a better player can come along and run the same perks against the same team and do better than you.
And here Hillbilly wants to talk to you about maps that chain windows or that only contains short loops but with a tree or a barrel to make the curve impossible.
Here the problem isn't skill, it's either maps that aren't well made, or the Hillbilly that is unviable because he can turn as much as he wants in a too short time window.
This is a kind of problem every killer has, but different for each of them, so you can't change maps or mechanism because that won't solve the problem for every killer, so... You buff killers.

More windows plz, there aren't enough in this building...
I have to upvote this, it isn't a challenge to play hillbilly, it's some luck (because only a few tiles can be curved, the 90% others can't be curved if the survivor is paying attention), and a impossibly high risk high reward power that asks perfection from the player.
Hillbilly is harder than any killer in this game, change my mind.

I love Wraith and Clown as my main killers.
Wraith because he's really good looking in most skins and I like the 50/50 hits you can try at some loops when coming out of invisibility.
Clown is kind of a guilty pleasure which I can't really explain, I just love playing him overall and also get immersed with his Lord of the Underworld skin when using a full Hex build where I feel like a "god of curses" and have a chance to either lose terribly or massacre the whole team as soon as they break the first totem.
I also play Pyramid Head and Nemesis quite a lot cause I like the tricky hits that you can get with their power at many loops, which are otherwise pretty impossible on other killers.
As survivor I just adore Cheryl and Jill (mostly using Cheryl always) from the ones that are licensed because I like the characters in their games.
My favorite original survivors are:
Meg (she's 100% bae material imo)
Zarina (she looks really nice and her skins are good to mix)
Personally I bought Pyramid Head because I love the chase music ! But yeah, you can do stylish hits ahah, he sure is a very interesting killer to play !

Survivor :
Cybil, because she's hot as hell, just the perfect woman :p
I mean, hell xD
Killer :
Hillbilly when I want to flex (curve Billy),
Ghost Face when I want to have fun,
Nurse when I want blood points.

Currently my main is Hillbilly so ...
Or delete the skgekdjakjtotoj overheating mechanism (when you try to learn curving, you get to overheat often. Why the hell should you get punished for trying to learn something ?!)
Or increase his basekit chainsaw rush speed to... How about 15% ? I mean, there are so much things in the way and he has a so bad turning rate that his mobility is meh sometimes... Also I think he's only viable as curve Billy

Spoke to some of them for awhile inbetween games lol
I think the post-game chat has so much influence on us about the feeling of a game.
For example, a game where I get completely stomped on, with survivors saying after "that's the game sometimes" or "you did well", the taste I have is wayyy less bitter

@Bwsted said:
Insta down killers are penalized in the chaser emblem.
There are also other considerations. Kills alone do not equal emblems. You need to perform certain tasks. Look in the tally screen what emblems you were lacking and take that into account in subsequent games if you care about pipping.
Yeah sure, I know kills don't equal to emblems, but it should largely contribute, you killed 3 survivors, your chaser emblem should at least be gold. I know how it works but the logic baffled me. I mean, you chase survivors to a point you were able to kill 3 of them.
-
@egg_ said:
I don't really pay attention to that to be honest, but since you're rank 1, isn't it always brutal killer, regardless of your performance?
Yes sure, as I said I'm rank 1 currently so, anyway ! But I think about redoing the all the way to the rank 1 from ashes thing with Hillbilly, and sheesh, you'd have to perform perfectly to have Ruthless, or the almost impossible Merciless with him, if you want the cheeky +1M bloodpoints at the end of the month.
And no, as a Rank 1, you can do Merciless etc...

Yeah, that sucks he gets penalized there because he can one shot survivors, so you have less chases and less hit scores :/
I feel like downing a survivor that was healthy should give 2-3 times more points, and in chase, and in brutality.
A OHKO is uncommon, so it should reward the killer for that (imo).
-
Same for me, games where gens aren't flying, with people good at looping but aren't holding W out of a loop to optimise, way less meta build (the classic DS/Unbreakable/DH/BT was super rare), and on top of that cool survivors in post-game chat.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Did you look at your pips to see which category you were lacking in? I am assuming its chase. Insta down killers tend to suffer in that one as they end chases pretty quickly if they're playing properly.

Learning Hillbilly has been a pain for me. Got survivors from my Nurse's games level, I was unable to practice curving as survivors immediately hold W when I missed/failed my curves, and the five gens were done in approximately 4 to 5 minutes.

So first Killers were not allowed to tunnel.
Then they were not allowed to camp.
Then they were not allowed to slug.
Now Killers should not be able to zone, either?
Coming in 2023: removing M1 attacks from killers, as it was causing Survivors to get put into the Dying State, and that isn't fair.
We agree, the "lose/lose" scenarios come from a killer that has well played, or from a survivor that hasn't played well. An error should not be completely removed by a single perk that only requires to be injured.

There is no SWF problem in DbD. It's a matchmaking issue if a killer is completely overmatched.
So damn true, also I don't know why people that just want to play with their friends casually (because no, every 4SWF are not sweaty and cocky players) would get punished because the game is unbalanced.
-
@TheSubstitute said:
No, both can be juked. What helps is to play both Nurse and Blight, get smacked around by survivors until you get a feel for their mechanics and start to win games, and then you'll have an idea how to juke them.
It helps if you resist the tendency to just M1 with them but you may still do so at times since some survivors, as soon as they see you're learning, will try to bully and BM. It's oddly satisfying to beat people trying to bully you with a slow Nurse without blinking.
But, to learn how to juke them effectively, it really helps to know the mechanics of their power and what messes them up.
Yesss, someone who's saying "play this killer until you reach high level to know what are the counterplays".
Basically I stopped playing Nurse because vs competent survivors, it's not chasing, it's about guessing 100% of the time, and odds are far from being a 50/50 from the Nurse side.
When you're moving wisely, you can make any rock or tree into a savage anti-Nurse mechanic.

Yeah, a big "No" on not counting Survivors hooked or in dying State. This would just be another excuse for Killers to camp. "But Whispers was on, so I stayed there!". There is a reason why it also activates on hooked Survivors.
I dont get the thing with the chase. When I am in Chase, I dont hear Whispers at all. (But for me, Whispers is mostly visual feedback, I dont really hear the Whispers that much, but look at the Icon)
In general, it is one of the best Tracking Perks in the game, if not THE best Tracking Perk.
+1
I left behind Whispers for Lethal Pursuer, it gives so much info at the start that it outclasses the constant little bit of info it gives in a game, imo
-
Tbh I have the same for one week.
If it's not a gen rushing "easy" post game, no DC, if it's me getting a first hook extremely fast, there is always a DC or a suicide on hook and it is becoming really annoying.
May I play Nurse, Hillbilly, or GhostFace
-
Well, to have Pentimento, it means you relit, as a killer, totems that survivors know the location. So if there is Pentimento, the ones that have cleansed any totems have to go back to these locations.
The killer can't relit more than one time a same cleansed totem, so it's not infinite. Once you cleansed it again, the killer won't be able to lit it
-
May you have better days, dude :)
I won't get out of a hat the classic "don't take these toxic jerks too seriously" because in a 1v4 game, indeed the whole thing will hurt strongly and easily.
And well, maybe don't play killer :/ I moved to survivor because it is so much more relaxing than the stressful experience that is playing kuller.
Play a good old Borderlands, Doom Eternal or Monster Hunter. I always have a good time on them :p
-
- Hillbilly : so unpredictable if the player has mastered him, the games are fun as hell
- Huntress / Nemesis / Pyramid Head: I love the mindgames at pallets, drop or don't drop, fake the drop !
- Myers (Tier 1 only add-on) : That's so unique on Lerry's, it's a very enjoyable gameplay (unless the times when I had Spine Chill, it breaks the thing a bit)
- Nurse : my favourite killer to verse, hell it's fun and feels rewarding when you run a good Nurse for so damn long
- Legion : just because I always make them lose their power thanks to a 99'd sprint burst, it is so satisfying

Lol that’s not the point. When you get good enough with Nurse (an unbelievably overrated skill ceiling) then she completely breaks the game.
I main her so...
And yes, her skill ceiling is high. Indeed if you only talk about having the muscle memory to blink properly, yes, the skill ceiling is high, but not that high.
But taking the decision where to blink, fake a direction, making predictions, ... All of this is the true High Skill Ceiling big streamers are talking about.
When you're versing people that know how to play vs a competent Nurse, the gameplay is completely different and fair for the both sides.
-

Self-care is still commonly used even though Circle of Healing exists.
And after the incoming nerf, CoH can still carry a game. It would juste give to anyone in the area Self-Care, which isn't a bad perk, the problem comes from HOW people used it on average.
Otherwise, giving to anyone the possibility to heal themself is huge.

Personally I enjoy going up against a good Nurse. Makes the game feel scary and exciting like it did when I first learned how to play.
Same, there are so many interactions and gameplay knowledge to have when you have a chase with her, it's basically mindgaming constantly and I love that.
But some people got a point : if you're strong enough with her, and you have the strongest things equipped, AND playing super sweaty (proxy camping, slugging, tunnelling), that's obnoxious for sure. More than any other killers.
-

COH is still in the game and the issues have not been addressed.
SWF is still a problem in relation to game balance.
2 man gen speed is still 47 seconds. Almost half the time for minimal cost.
Dead hard is and will still be in the game in some form. Even if they nerf it. Both aspects suck to play against and amount to a third health state.
Unfairly nerfed killers are still nerfed and forgotten.
Tbh the only problem with DH is the invincibility window. A lot of people are complaining about it for the distance it gives, in a lot of situation, I found my chainsaw rush or lunges that would have hit in the end of the DH animation, but that are stopped because the game doesn't understand that there aren't any hitboxes. DH should be an evasion move, a dash, not a "look how'am fast dude, an'you can't hit me even if you'd predicted it".
And glad that Circle of Healing is going to be nerfed, classic M1 killers are currently impossible to play (or it was a bunch of potato survivors).
-
You want her to play only on indoor maps ? Yeah sure, 3 layers of wall gives counterplays yes, this is true. I mean, the Nurse has literally to guess where you are for the 2 blinks.
"Guessing", that's literally why Spirit was nerfed.
Sure on some maps she's unleashed (Midwich/Autoheaven), as it is for a lot of killers. If on classic maps, you can't put a tree/wall during the first blink between you and the Nurse, and keep the LoS broken, that's your fault (or the map's).
