    >>Now, unlocking every perks of 1 character for everyone costs 18,000 iridescent shard! That's WAY too much. It's the price of 2 characters, and almost the price of epic skins.

But no? Unlocking every perks of one character for everyone costs the same price, 6k shards. Moreover, previously you bought a CHANCE to find those perks in bloodweb and then spent good amount of BPs to get em and level em up. Now you buy the perk itself for all your characters, and all those perks are not only unlocked for you, they also are available to equip right away on all your characters on tier 1. If you want, you can level them up through bloodweb and it costs much less bp now to upgrade those perks to tier 3 (no need to look for and buy first tier).

And if you want more than that, in additional you can pay for upgrades. It's new feature which you didn't have early. It's much cheaper to just buy character and prestige them then, and it's perfectly logical in terms of both: saved time cost (time and BPs invested to upgrade this perk for all-all your characters) and BHVR economic (they want buying character be preferable). If you don't want to use this new feature - just unlock perks for 2k shards each and level them up just right you did before. It's cheaper now for you since you get tier 1 automatically.

Your response isn't super clear, do you mean we can still upgrade perks through bloodwebs and not through prestige?

To make it clear, here's an example:

    • I have prestige 2 Wraith
    • I level up my Hillbilly's bloodweb

Will I get Shadowborne lvl 3 through Hillbilly's bloodweb?

If the answer is yes, that's a relief. Although it shows that bhvr didn't do a good job at explaining the shrine modifications in game.

I understood the change as "You pay 2k iri shard and you get the tier 1 perk for everyone. If you want an higher tier, you pay more".

  • @dugman said:

Well, think of it like this - if you want all three perks on a given character unlocked then you get a nice discount if you simply buy that character as a package deal of sorts. If all you want is to buy one perk ala carte style it costs a bit more. So it’s encouraging you to get the full package instead of the one offs.

Hence why I think it's too expensive. Why would anyone want to get perks from the shrine except perks under licensed characters?

I don't really care that it's now cheaper to unlock every original characters even though I only play 2 survivors, but I'm concerned about licensed perks being awfully expensive.

  • I haven't faced a nurse or a blight yet since the update. Sure they are much stronger now (and they should be looked at) but making more killers viable is good for variety.

Fixing a lot of issues, but not all of them is enough for you to say they're killing their game?

Whoever blessed Circle of Healing into existence gets the self care action; the others only get the speed.

No more 4 Self Cares at the cost of 1 perk slot.

I would like to see it changed as: you unlock selfcare or you heal others with bonus speed

  • I'm not sure, but maybe you have to complete a generator from 0% to 100% alone in the game (and not sitting at least 80s on a generator).

  • What if dead hard was a one time use perk? It could also give endurance instead of I-frames (it would look better too in my opinion).

The endurance effect should only last until the end of the dash animation. If you think the 2 second sprint burst after being hit is too strong, make it 1 second after being hit while in endurance with dead hard.

What would change is survivors can choose to either use it for 1 chase, or use it to protect another teammate. That would be higher risk higher reward, but only for 1 time.

Why buy killer outfits? You don't get to see it yourself (except for moris). So why buy it? So survivors get to see it while destroying you? Lol.

Why do you buy clothes if you don't get to see yourself except with a mirror?

For both situations, I just want to look nice.

Wait, is that what they meant about the mori being automatic for the last player? If so, that's an awful change - not just for losing hatch carries, because that's a fun part of the game's culture, but because ideally I'd want to see moris see a little more light of day than just one at the end of the game. Like, at that point I'd rather use a red mori. Imagine only being able to take a Ghostface selfie when nobody's going to run by and photobomb...

I think it's made to end games more quickly. If you want to give hatch, don't down the last survivor.

    I'm neutral to this change

  • "Most popular survivor perks: DH, BT, DS, Iron will and selfcare"

Was this recorded in 2021? lmao

  • It starts at 1pm ET

  • Your reworks ideas are interesting, however I don't think they will make huntress lullaby viable.

About your idea A, making survivors oblivious would hurt the impossible skill check doctor build since you remove the effect of Unnerving Presence :'(

Also the perk could be reworked to make the skill check notification random between an expanding range (depending on the amount of tokens). I don't think it would make the perk viable either, but this could be funny.

  • Everyone: When will we have [insert word]?

    Bhvr: Soon™

Bugs in this game are so random you cant put any logic on them, like you can tweak Ace's running animation and suddenly 3 gens become unkickable from random positions on The Game.

The only time I managed to link "they touched this and that thing bugged as a result" was when they fixed pallet colisions and illusory Freddy pallets started to stun him like real ones and Im not even sure it was related.

In this case, they literally just forgot there's a totem that spawn upstairs when moving the blob.

  • I'm not sure to understand correctly.

I see that a fully charged blink takes 1.5 seconds to travel 20 meters (by default).

With range addons, let's say we pick Kavanagh's Last Breath (+6 meters), does it make the nurse travel 26 meters in 1.5 seconds?

I've heard people complain about the "Hug Tech" and that it is a bug, not a feature

Is it that same Hug Tech thing? I have no idea what the Hug Tech actually is (presumably based on the name you hug the walls), I just know I keep hearing the term and people being mad at it 😅

The "hug tech" refers to blight looking down to slide on structures he should bump on (I guess looking down moves his bump hitbox behind his own collision hitbox).

Oni slides on any structures by default.

  • That looks like a 90° flick, he was almost perpendicular to the log when rushing.

Very solid play by the oni to be honest.

Now I don't know why that one comment got deleted (someone was talking about the anniversary stream and how DbD Mobile would get some significant changes) but apparently that game still has CoH at 100% bonus healing speed. That's just plain insane. Do they really think killers want to play against THAT?

I made a typo, so I edited it too much times apparently (it's suspended for verification).

Yeah yeah, the balance is insane. I'm pretty sure old haddonfield is still on dbd mobile too (at least it was in march)

  • First of all, do we agree we're talking about DBDM by bhvr and not the one developed by netease? I'm french so I can't try the netease version yet (it's only available in asia at the moment).

I used to recommend dbd mobile for people that wanted to see what dbd feels like playing since it's free. Now I don't because it feels like dbd mobile is going to be thrown away (the last content update was on 31th January and it was Mikaela).

Bhvr will give an update on dbd mobile's plans tomorrow in the anniversary stream: (for these who missed this tweet from 5/04)

    image.png

If they announce they'll release the netease version in all countries, I won't expect them to grant us cross-progression between the bhvr version and the netease version for obvious reasons.

By the way, the balance in DBD mobile is currently a mess: there is still the old hatch mechanic (the hatch spawns if [number of completed generators] + [dead survivors] = 5+). Combine this with the on release CoH healing bonus at 100% healing speed and you can imagine what games look like ahah.

    Edit: Also 3 more things:

    • for some reasons there are many more people that want to play killer on dbd mobile
    • the killer's red stain goes through walls, good luck mindgaming with that
    • you can be paired with bots from the very beginning of a public game (survivors or bots). The bot player has the name of his character in this case. I've played with Dwight bots and a Doctor bot (I looped this one the whole game around a pallet). That's different from when a player disconnects and gets replaced by a bot (you'll only see them having a score of 0 BP).

Because hug teching and scoot surf both result in more or less the same kind of slide around an object? And if you can actively prevent something from being used, that is counterplay. For instance, going to an area where Huntress cannot use her hatchets.

Blight can only "negate" loops if he wins the mindgame. You yourself acknowledged you are not that good, but then shift the blame to balance, why? Also I already mentioned he has badly designed or overtuned add-ons that need changes anyways. This post is about his basekit.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2952227#Comment_2952227

So why not turn it into a mechanic and balance around it then?

I feel like once a blight player reaches a certain skill floor, he destroys survivor with as much experience in the game. It's not for nothing if blight is considered by most the 2nd best killer in the game behind nurse.

Furthermore blight has 115% move speed that helps him in areas he can't use his power to catch up to survivors, unlike huntress.

By the way, how would you feel if blight became a 110% move speed killer while keeping his current rush speed?

Shouldn't have to tell them it's bad etiquette, most times tunneling campers get low scores but still do it cos they are scared to not get any kills. It's getting ridiculous now, 7 out of 10 games is like this. It's getting very boring.

Perhaps they come up against a team of Loopers who they can't catch so camp and tunnel to retaliate.

I thought we were playing to have fun but it seems not. Is this a game for trolls only?

I think you misunderstood the concept behind "don't tell others what they can't do": there will always be people that won't listen to you or won't agree with you, so telling others "but you can't do that!" is a waste of your time. How many times have you seen survivors trashing the killers because they were camping with things like "noob camping killer". I see this kind of thing a ton.

There are many reasons why killers camp, face camp (bad matchmaking, bad map, or they just want to). But in any case, playing against a camping killer is not something fun. The only way I see to make this more fun is to make camping interactive, and thus it should allow survivors to have another counter play than "do generators".

The only reason I want a change of the sort to be done is only because I seek fun. In a scenario like you described, I'm pretty sure nobody is having fun (at least I wouldn't as survivor or killer).

And yes, a LOT of changes must be done to make the game more fun. It's not for nothing if I take a lot of breaks from the game.

  • Hello,

You might want to rename the title, it's a bit misleading.

Just like the Schrödinger cat, the game seems to be thinking you're both in frenzy state and in normal state.

    Schrödinger Legion?

  • "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrKo7-NNU_s&t=824s is an example of mindgaming and making them commit to a false direction with the scoot surf even in the open at point-blank.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-JdvyLQ68I&t=734s is an example of making the Blight chase you in an area with extremely messy collision that cannot be slid around in the first place, and the only way to reach the survivor is through the pallet. IE, no matter what, the pallet will go instead of the survivor."

Idk why you put the these 2 example, I didn't see any hug tech there. I mean of course on some places the hug tech is not possible or not relevant enough to justify taking risks to do it.

What I dislike with the hug tech is: blight is a 115% move speed killer with the ability to negate most loops/structures and has godly strong addons. I'm nowhere near a god survivor, and I'll never reach the level of theses survivors in these clips since I played 800h in 3 years. The current best counter to blight for someone of my level is dh, and I agree dh is bs. But I also think the whole kit of blight is bs.

  • I like going against bubba and billy because I used to play them a lot.

Bubba has plenty of places he can't use his chainsaw unless he hugs you because of some awkward hitboxes from structures (springwood's grid fence, breakable walls, auto-heaven's front bus, trees branches, temple of purgation when going downstairs). And there are probably many spots I am not aware yet.

There are more than just hackers in this game, cheaters are everywhere and it's so hard to play now.

  • Giving feedback when someone gets more condemned would help too.

Even if Sadako knew exactly how condemned survivors are, I don't see how that would be a problem.

  • Play bubba ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I actually enjoy playing against him as long as he respect the sanitary distances once he hooks someone.

I find too billy super fun to play against, but can be frustrating to play (you're more playing against the mechanics and collisions than against the survivors), I'm at best decent with him and usually survivors were happy in post game chat. I understand you don't like playing him.

I'd recommend you Oni, I think most survivors enjoy playing against him.

Which is bull. MAN WITH MALLET is not "in a good spot".

So when you camp, you prefer survivors that slam gens.

I guess you just won't listen and keep thinking bubba's ability to camp is fine. Sure man.

  • You sure?

Why are we picking on Bubba, specifically?

    you had the answer there:

Myers can still be in Tier 3 around a hook and one shot.

Trickster can mow people down around a hook.

Billy can mow people down around a hook.

Huntress can intercept a bombing Survivor with a hatchet.

    Nemesis zombies can literally facecamp.

Also, Twins can absolutely use their power around hooks - Victor's pounce works just fine.

Oni can 100% slam around hooks.

Pyramidhead can hit MULTIPLE survivors and punishes unhooking around him.

Why are we picking on Bubba, specifically?

Doing gens being the only counter play disappoints me, it's not fun, nor interactive.

And as I said, with only the M1, you're still in a good spot if survivors come to rescue when the killer camps. The M1 isn't enough to guarantee a trade when survivors come at least at 2, but that's still 2 survivors not doing a generator which is good for the killer, nah?

If you think: "But the game is unbalanced in favor to survivors! I have to camp if I want to win", that's true for the highest level but there's camping at every level, even when the killer is stronger to survivors. Do you think camping is balanced? If it makes you win some games you should have lost, it's a proof it is not balanced.

If you disable this, disable myers stalking, disable billy chainsaw, disable trickster throw, disable huntress throw, disable hag traps, disable nurse blink, disable everything

I was only talking about bubba here since he's the biggest issue (and the topic is about him), although billy could have the same treatment. He doesn't need his chainsaw near hooks to perform well.

Twins and Artist can't use their power when too close to hooked survivors, why not just adding at least bubba to the list?
