My dream change is: no more fake promises.

Don't take anything in these streams seriously. They are either changes they will scrap off and never talk about again (DC bots, autoban), or changes that are going to take so goddamn long you will not even remember them when they finally happen (solo queue HUD, keys). Just watch it for the chapter reveal honestly 🤷
I'll watch recaps/rediffs only for the reveal. It's sad most of their talking looks like empty promises.

I'd say no, because really, there is no reason to be disabling anti-aliasing. If your computer isn't fast enough to run the game with it, then upgrade. It's as simple as that really.
The game looks blurred as hell in low, and if I play in low, it's because I don't want my laptop to get super hot. Fortunately nvidia filters help removing that blur, but it's still quite ugly, more ugly if there weren't AA.

Voted 3rd option because you didn't offer the option "SBMM is the way to go, but our current sbmm is ######### ".
I think grades means nothing more than "I played a lot this month", and has nothing to do with skill. Ultimately, it isn't much different than no matchmaking rule.
For these you say "dbd shouldn't have a sbmm because it isn't a competitive game", I think saying "a game is competitive" is wrong, but what's right is "a game mode is competitive", and there I agree dbd doesn't have a competitive game mode. However, ARAM in LoL is not a competitive game mode but it has sbmm.
Free to you to agree with me or not, but here's my though on the subject.

How are they supposed to see the difference from the host perspective between someone that leaves the match with the "leave match" button, someone that alt+f4, someone that unplugs his ethernet cable and someone that gets disconnected because of any other reason?
If the host gets down, I see a simple solution, but if there's a problem in between you and the host, there's no way they can tell the cause of the issue.

I'm part of these who thinks map offerings should go away. It's even quite ridiculous how a swf can guarantee to choose their map (using 4 time the same map offering). I agree it's so rare I've never seen it happening, but the fact it's a thing blows my mind.
I don't mind the hook offerings. They can either stay or go away. By the way, they forgot these offerings for the "we change all ambiguous effect with numbers": the putrid oak is still "considerably decrease the distance ..." I only noticed this now.

They spoke about changing the common bp add ons as they weren't worth the cost to reward ratio. Another of bhvrs broken promises.
I agree, the mist offerings are pointless as are the hook spawns unless four people use them.
The shrouds are ridiculous and only benefit swf. Why would you want all 4 to start together?
Finally the one that starts you furthest from the killer is stupid, it buys maybe 5 or 10 more seconds before they get to you if no one else is found. If they have ruin, it makes it even more pointless.
They spoke about changing the common bp add ons as they weren't worth the cost to reward ratio. Another of bhvrs broken promises.Wasn't that like 1 year ago? lol

That's something I wish for all killers, it's true she's full of move speed, duration and cooldown addons (and cooldown addons sucks because increasing duration increases also recovery).
If they made duration addons add charges instead of increasing the length the charges, the game would make much more sense.

Just happened to me in game (playing as legion). The title is misleading, it's about hitting a survivor in the unhooking animation. On my pov both survivors were highlighted in red (the one unhooking and the one being unhooked), I hit the one being unhooked and he was still red after the strike.

First of all, please add space for next time, it was hard to read.
I don't think any in game behaviour except cheating (using 3rd party software to make it clear) is reportable.
You ended make them bleed out, I would have done the same in this situation.
I think you can at least report them for unsportmaship if they told you "you're garbage", "uninstall". Bhvr says they do something on people misbehaving, but I have no idea what the punishment is nor how relevant it is.

We'll make it is THE BEST healing perk i have no idea why i never see it in survivor builds. And for killer i would say hysteria since it literally has a 30 second cooldown, applies oblivious to all injured survivours AND cant really be countered.
We'll make it isn't the best healing perk, coh obviously is. Many want to only play the best of the best. Same for hysteria, hex:plaything does pretty much the same thing but is much more stronger. Although I agree these perks are not bad at all!
I like a lot Play with your Food even though it's condition is situational (playing both pwyf and nemesis outside of memeing isn't really strong). I also wish I had coup de grâce (I don't want to get Twins so I'm waiting to see it in shrine).

I just had a match as a survivor where the killer got a 4K but was incredibly toxic to me when I was the last survivor on the hook. He face camped me, repeatly shaked his head, then hit me serveral times on hook.
I absolutely didn't do anything in the match that was toxic.
When I confronted them about it in post game chat they said "Yeah, sorry, I'm used to toxic survivors, I'm frustrated"
Sorry, but exactly this behavior and this way of thinking on both sides makes this toxicity in the community worse and worse.
Me, the solo survivor who does nothing toxic and plays normally, have no fault if my killer had a bully squad in the last match. I haven't done anything, why am I being used to relieve the frustration of the last match?
Vice versa. The current killer is not guilty, if survivors had an extremely toxic killer in the last match, why punish them for it?
It often ends up being that the person who was treated unfairly because the opponent unfairly took out his frustration on this person, then in the next match is toxic themselfes because frustrated by the last experience.
This only makes this community worse.
So, during our post game chat conversation, the killer player apologized to me, which was fine for me then. I hope that person got at least a little bit to think about it.
If you're so incredibly frustrated from your last match, why not take a break before going into the next match?
Leave the room, go outside for 10 minutes and breathe deeply,listen to music you like, smoke a cigarette or eat and drink something and then continue playing when you've calmed down.
But please don't take your frustration out on the next opponents, who are not to blame for your experiences with the opponents before them.
It´s just not right , feels bad and is bad for the community overall.
Even if there were a message on loading screen reminding people "you shouldn't let your frustration out after a rough game against people that did nothing", people will continue doing so. Humans are like that. Can't change the world!

As soon as you see one survivor hit by FF hold w. If all survivors do this even with that addon combo you will never get enough FF hits to down.
Against Legion smart survivors know to split up and not heal.
All the new "broken add-on combos" on legion have easy counters.
I completely agree.
Last week I was able to land the 5 chain hit very very frequently, now on most maps, survivors split up, gets in structures.
People learn (at least at mid-high level if we assume mmr is doing something) and I can see this addon combo becoming horrible against certain survivors on some maps (especially huge maps, or maps with strong main building). If the survivors never lets you get that 4th hit, you're just wasting time trying to get it, and the never-sleep pill is just hindering your ability to injure survivors.
I know otz think both never-sleep pills and mural sketch are legion's 2nd and 3rd best addons, but I think he overestimates these addons.
-
Have you ever played as ghostface? I've seen some competitive survivor mains complaining on how strong Clown is (and was before his rework). That's not a joke.
-
Some grat ideas overall I agree with,
Reduce hook penalty radius to 8m [...]
However I disagree with this. I understand it doesn't feel great to not be able to use the power near hooks, but it will just make camping with twins easier and I don't want that.
One other issue I have with twins is that most twins players play only victor, and charlotte is only there to pickup bodies. Why this happens? Because Victor is super fast. The killer is "Twins", not "Victor", that's why I dislike it.
For this I'd like victor to have a new restriction like the followings (either one):
- kill Victor if he goes too far away from Charlotte. For instance, the threshold could be 32 meters, then the power jauge countdown for 10 seconds. At the end of the countdown, Victor dies.
- make Victor slower the farter he is from Charlotte. For instance, Victor has 100% of his speed if he is within 24 meters of Charlotte, then 90% of his move speed within 32 meters, then 80% within 48 meters, 70% within 60 meters, etc.
If there's something of this kind done for twins, I would definitively enjoy more playing against them.

it depends on which has the lower internet, usually favors killers with 1000 ping.
No. That was the case before the hit validation on pallets.
Before hit validation, the decision of if the hit was landed or not was taken on the killer's client. Let's say a survivor has 20 ms and a killer has 50ms with the server. Both the survivor and the killer send an event at the same time. Also let's say for illustration it takes 1 ms to validate a hit.
The created events are:
- The survivor drops the pallet;
- The killer strikes;
- The hit is successful;
- The hit is not successful.
On killer side, it used to look like this:
- 1 - The killer strikes (t = 0 ms)
- 2 - The hit is successful (t = 1 ms)
- 3- The survivor drops the pallet (t = 70 ms)
On the survivor side, it used to look like this for this same scenario
- 1 - The survivor drops the pallet (t = 0 ms)
- 2 - The killer strikes (t = 70 ms)
- 3 - The hit is successful (t = 71 ms)
Now this scenario looks like this:
Server side:
- 1 - The survivor drops the pallet (t = 20 ms)
- 2 - The killer strikes (t = 50 ms)
- 3 - The hit is not successful (t = 51 ms)
Killer side:
- 1 - The killer strikes (t = 0 ms)
- 2 - The survivor drops the pallet (t = 70 ms)
- 3 - The hit is not successful (t = 71 ms)
Survivor side:
- 1 - The survivor drops the pallet (t = 0 ms)
- 2 - The killer strikes (t = 70 ms)
- 3 - The hit is not successful (t = 71 ms)
This order of received messages is the reason why the game can look odd from client perspective when someone has a lot of latency.
Now if you get screwed by pallet hit validation, it's because you have more latency than the killer. Also there are few frames where a hit still counts right after dropping a pallet. However, hit validation only applies on dropping pallet event, it doesn't apply to vault events, or if the distances between characters in the open are not the same from clients to clients.

I'm guessing you mean things like the joke addons, such as not injuring survivors when they step on bear traps, that drastically alter the power, but I don't know any killers that play most matches like that. However you state that you play mostly green addons. Most green addons across most killers are not gimmick but rather just a straight power boost. Even addons that decrease the timer on things by even one second changes what the killer is capable of. The power boosts are nice, but if you learn to play with them by default, you will struggle if you don't have any.
Not necessairly the joke addons.
For instance for hillbilly there's the purple carburator for hillbilly that is bad (you get much more weaker on any loop), the engravings (I can't say if hillbilly is better with or without).
Obviously myers' vanity mirror and scratched mirror are in the same category. Myer also have the combo of purple + green p3 extension that makes him worse (the 1st p3 is very long to achieve), but it's fun because it installs the doubt on survivors that you may be infinite p3 myers.
There's much more funny addons than that, not all of them are browns!

AFK Pig strat underlines a larger problem with jigsaw boxes. If the survivor is unlucky, a pig can easily camp a box and make the survivor unable to do anything. I think that talking about it is a good thing... because it is also an opportunity to talk about how survivors getting their headtraps off first try isn't fair; exactly like a Pig able to easily camp a box. There is an easy way to fix both issues at the same time: survivors have to do four boxes everytime, but five boxes spawn instead of four.
Interesting idea, but having to do 4 boxes every time is way too much. 2 or 3 box searches would be more reasonable.
I think Pig has enough slowdown (even if it is currently rng), she needs improvements on her ambush.

I assume by "full content" you only mean characters and not cosmetics?
The packs don't have them all.
To make it simple, there are "licensed dlcs" that contains characters you can not purchase with in-game currency, and "original dlcs" that contains characters you can buy with in-game currency.
However, unlocking 1 character with in-game currency requires a lot of play time, expect to unlock a character per 50 hours of play time (rough estimation).
Also, you may not need to unlock all characters: killers are all unique, but survivors are "skins" if you don't take into account their perks. it's possible to unlock characters' perk without unlocking them, but it requires a lot of time and luck (I won't go in details here). However, if you plan to do all the archives (it's like season pass) and/or achievements, it's better to possess all characters.
In total, there are 23 dlcs to unlock characters.
10 of these dlcs are "licensed dlcs":
- Silent hill Chapter (contains Pyramid head and Cheryl Mason);
- Ghost Face (only contains Ghost Face);
- Leather Face (only contains Leather Face, aka Bubba);
- The saw Chapter (contains Detective Tapp, and Amanda Taylor);
- Ash vs Evil Dead (only contains Ash);
- A nightmare in Elm Street (only contains The nightmare aka Freddy);
- The halloween Chapter (contains the Shape aka Mickeal Myers and Laurie Strode);
- Resident Evil Chapter (contains the Nemesis, Jill Valentine and Leon);
- Hellraiser Chapter (only contains the Cenobite aka Pin Head);
- Sadako Rising Chapter (contains the Onryo aka Sadako and Yoichi Asakawa).
The other 13 dlcs are "original dlcs":
- Of flesh and mud Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Spark of Madness Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Curtain Call Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Darkness Among Us Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Shattered Bloodline Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Demise of the Faithful Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Cursed Legacy Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Chains of Hate Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Descend Beyond Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- A binding of Kin Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- All-Kill Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Hour of the Witch Chapter (1 survivor);
- Portrait of a Murder Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor).
The sillent hill pack contains 5 dlcs (4 original, 1 licensed), the ultimate edition contains 11 "original dlcs".
If you take the ultimate edition, you will be missing:
- Hour of the Witch Chapter (1 survivor);
- Portrait of a Murder Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Silent hill Chapter (contains Pyramid head and Cheryl Mason);
- Ghost Face (only contains Ghostface);
- Leather Face (only contains Leather Face, aka Bubba);
- The saw Chapter (contains Detective Tapp, and Amanda Taylor);
- Ash vs Evil Dead (only contains Ash);
- A nightmare in Elm Street (only contains The nightmare aka Freddy);
- The halloween Chapter (contains Mickeal Myers and Laurie Strode);
- Resident Evil Chapter (contains the Nemesis, Jill Valentine and Leon);
- Hellraiser Chapter (only contains the Cenobite aka Pin Head);
- Sadako Rising Chapter (contains the Onryo aka Sadako and Yoichi Asakawa).
So if you really want to buy every dlcs, the best option I think is to pick the ultimate edition and buy the other dlcs one by one.
-
I play all rarities of addons, but I think on average I pick greens (I mostly play hillbilly).
@Icaurs said:
None... addons are just that things to add onto the killer if you are playing to win. There is a big difference to playing a killer with or without addons and if you don't learn to play the killer properly, as in base then you will struggle unless you keep feeding BP into that killer to keep buying the addons you need. There is nothing wrong with addons inherently but if you are going to boost your power to artificially do better, then you need to be fine with survivors bringing items to do the same. FyI this goes for survivors as well.
I disagree. There are addons that are strictly bad if you're looking to win and offer different ways to play the killer. That also depends on what killers you're playing.

Luck needs to be reworked. It's a mechanic as old as the DbD itself and hasn't aged well.

That would require a lot of workaround with existing hex perks, but I can't think of a better idea to fix the rng involved in hex perks.
Imagine if all hexes perks were no longer tied to one hex totem and their strength were tied with the number of totems you have left:
- The more totems you have left, the stronger the effect are;
- No more totem means no more perk or a very tiny effect.

Even a speed limiter on chainsaw boys is more useful than luck offering.
Maybe before the offerings actually used to be useful but now they are just bad.
They still have 1 very particular use which is pretty strong honestly. Other than that, yes the luck mechanic is outdated and needs a complete rework.

I like how they have everything set up on mobile. If survivors are nothing but skins then why can't we just have ONE inventory for all of our items and add-ons just like mobile.
The blood market is indeed great for survivors, but it's awful for killers: all killer's addons are mixed into 1 blood market. I let you guess how hard it is to get the addon you want.
-
I'm really curious on what is the official answer.
I made several reports on the website, for both steam and mobile platforms (I encountered plenty of obvious cheaters with big speedhacks), each time I was told "we can't tell you the outcome for privacy reasons, but actions will be taken if it is required". So they say this is to respect players privacy. Dbd is the first game I know to have this policy, and I find it odd.
Also, the form to report a player is only adapted for steam players, I tried to report some dbd mobile players but I don't even know if they can ban a player there. Worst part, cheaters on both of these platform can still create new accounts, and I bet I spent more time doing these reports than a cheater need time to create a new account on steam / mobile.
Now I feel like reporting players is just a waste of time.

desperately need this. Long press the last node and it auto buys the trail. It will still be risky to do it since it'll be rng and it might go the more expensive route to get to that node you want. So you'll still have to click individually if you wanna save points or if you want a specific item/add-on. Or they can also make it a click and drag so you draw on the trail you want.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2902561#Comment_2902561
you mean the thing that already happens when you're halfway down a trail to get a perk and it gets consumed? if it gets taken it gets taken, you'll have to buy other stuff.
you mean the thing that already happens when you're halfway down a trail to get a perk and it gets consumedYes.
If in addition we could have what JaviiMii suggested, that would be awesome! I'm just afraid the dev team gets spooked because it involves some pathing algorithm (like A*) and some exceptions. My suggestion is just switch the "hold click" to "click". I though the simpler it is, the better.

In my humble opinion, I think the number should be raised to a number that statistically can get one character to Level 50, because as it stands right now, 1 Million Bloodpoints can only get your character to (about) Level 38 if you really try to conserve your Bloodpoints.
Why not more? Maybe what you propose would be convenient for you, but not for people that wants to prestige right away new characters.

I made a post in feedback/suggestion where I ask to remove the "hold the left click for half a second to purchase stuff in bloodwebs". I think this is the most time-consuming thing, the animations are very quick compared to this.

This is a stale statement, you can't say what people can not do, and I'm not saying it's right to only play meta stuff.
Also I bet that even if killers were stronger than survivors, camping and face camping would still be a thing. Killers also camp survivors that are bad at looping.

or, to avoid mis-clicks, make it possible to long-click the last perk of a given web-section you want to get to and automatically progress there via the shortest route.
There might be an issue with this: what if the perk you clicked on gets taken by the entity in mid-course.
The downside of a potential missclick is nothing to me if that means I can spend 1 million bp in 2 minutes.
