I was just in a match where the killer was obviously cheating. Teleporting all over the map and one hit downs. Had every survivor slugged within 5 seconds of the match starting. Every survivor died on first hook immediately. The whole match lasted under 30 seconds. My question is why would anyone even want to do that? There is absolutely no challenge. The only reason I can even come up with is4 comments 71 views last activity

I don't play DBD very often anymore but I was just in a match where something happened I don't ever remember happening before. The killer in this match was a Legion. He would be carrying one survivor on his shoulder and still able to run fast enough to catch other healthy survivors while they were running. This happened multiple times. Is there a new killer perk or ability that allows this? Was2 comments 71 views last activity

I haven't played DBD myself in quite awhile. Some in my house still do so I still see it played frequently. I am noticing a lot of survivors playing in a manner that seems intentionally antagonistic towards other survivors. Examples: 1 - I have watched multiple times recently where 2 or more survivors are in the same area when a killer shows up. Do you have any issue with hitting your button for skill checks not working? I can hit the L1 button to run and it works fine. Immediate response. It works perfectly in every menu. However, it never works when hitting it for a skill check of any type. It's like it just doesn't register that the button has been hit. I have remapped the buttons to try different buttons. Play this game on PS4. When I click L2 in game it never works. It's like the button is not even functioning. However, it works in the menus and other screens. I've remapped the button. I've deleted the game and reinstalled. This has been going on for at least a week. Even the latest update didn't fix it.0 comments 12 views last activity

The L1 button has a huge delay (between 1 and 2.5 seconds) for me on PS4. It happens both ingame and in the menus. None of the other buttons or sticks on the controller have any delay at all. I have tried the controller on the PS4 menu and with 3 other games. There was no issue with any of the buttons or sticks in any of those other games. I tried rebooting the PS4. Today was my first day playing DBD after taking a break for a few weeks. This time the break didn't help. While it's not the same game to me it once was and I simply don't find myself enjoying it anymore I am truly thankful for a game that gave me the enjoyment this one did for so long. I've never played a game on a consistent basis for several years like this one. I honestly can't imagine it ev1 comments 81 views last activity

I play on PS4. I do not use a VPN. Since the latest update I constantly get booted from lobbies. I get constant "no network connection" messages even though there is no problem with my network. Literally every other game and network related thing in my home works without issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The day after the update. Didn't help. Is there a major issue with the game right now? I've been kicked out of multiple lobbies because of "unknown error". I've gotten the error about being unable to update my player. The only 2 times I've gotten far enough to get past the lobby the message about a player leaving before the match started has popped up as soon as the game starts. I've rebooted both my modem, my router, and my PS4. Th0 comments 11 views last activity

I haven't had much opportunity to play DBD the last few weeks. A quick match here or there. Finally had time today to sit and take my time. To my surprise I have a level 50 Elodie with several of her cosmetics. I haven't purchased Elodie much less any of her cosmetics. My first thought was I'd been hacked. However it doesn't seem likely someone hacked my DBD account and spent their own persona0 comments 52 views last activity

Have a relative visiting and I have introduced them to this game. He's playing survivor. He's gotten messages from other survivors a few times calling him a bad player for various reasons. He looked at me and said "These people play like they don't have a brain in their head. Do they honestly think they are playing smart and strategically?" Here's the scenario: It's down to 2 survivors. Only 1 generator left and you are working on it together. Killer finds you. You are the one he starts chasing. Here are 2 thing you can do: 1) Not intentionally follow the other survivor 2) Intentionally follow the other survivor One of those things is a good choice for both you and the other survivor, the other is a very bad choice for bo5 comments 81 views last activity

I play this game as a survivor main. I tend to hover between ranks 7 and 10. I am waiting significantly longer in lobbies the last couple of weeks. There's one person in my house that stays below rank 5 survivor and hardly has a wait. We even have a fairly new player in the house that hasn't gotten below rank 15 yet and they rarely wait more than a few seconds for a match. I suppose it could be5 comments 122 views last activity

What things do you see survivors do that you simply can't understand. I'm going to ask everyone to refrain from calling things stupid and such as I am hoping to see people explain doing things others don't understand. Explanations are generally more clear when people don't feel attacked. I'll start.... It's intriguing to me that people think you can "abuse" any perk or strategy that isn't against the rules. Examples: I despise slugging. I especially despise when a killer uses it from the start as their whole strategy. It's the thing I hate the most about this game. As a matter of fact I hate it so much that I would quit playing DBD if slugging became the predominant killer strategy because i19 comments 241 views last activity

First I say thank you. I appreciate another survivor that still tries to finish the objectives and escape. Second thing is I have a suggestion. If you are downed and the other survivor has been doing nothing but hiding don't wiggle when the killer picks you up. Many killers quickly realize you are giving them the opportunity to find the survivor that's doing nothing but hiding and they are very42 comments 541 views last activity

While I don't get many messages after a match I always wonder why anyone bothers to send them when it does happen. I could not care less if someone else thinks I played a good or bad game. I don't care if they don't like the way I play. On the flip side I don't expect anyone else to care what I think of the way they play. Survivor main here: I love playing stealth. I'm not immersive, but I'm good at stealth. My build has been spine chill, urban evasion, poised, and iron will until recently. It helps me knock out gens even when injured and not get caught. I've decided I want to change things up a bit though. I don't want to completely give up my stealthy ways, but I want to incorporate the thing I hate the most a4 comments 61 views last activity

The real balance issue in this game is between SWF and solo survivor. Killers are stuck in the middle of a balance that is impossible to acheive in my opinion. As a survivor main I have played both SWF and solo queue. SWF is heavily in the favor of survivors. SWF have it pretty easy against all but the best of the best killers. At the same time decent killers have it pretty easy against solo que15 comments 161 views last activity

I'm the first person hooked. A few seconds after I'm hooked another survivor comes running up to unhook me. The killer comes out from hiding and takes him down. Killer leaves this one slugged next to the hook. I watch as the killer goes and hides again. A few seconds later one of the other survivors comes running up. Not sure if they were going to try to unhook me or heal the slugged person. Reg13 comments 181 views last activity

Obviously lots of people DC after getting hit, hung, or slugged. Since I couldn't believe there are many people that DC every single time they get hit or hung I decided to look into the events before the person got hit or hung. What made a person DC after having one of those things happen at certain times and not others? There are 3 of us in this house that play DBD. If you want to farm or play a match solely to complete a challenge that's your prerogative. However, I have exactly zero interest in taking part in those types of matches. So if that is what you plan to do at least send a message about it while still in the lobby. The points system for survivors currently rewards unsafe hook removals. For an action that takes a very short time to complete you get 1000 points plus you likely get away without even taking a hit. It doesn't matter that you willingly threw another survivor under the bus. If they happen to go a few seconds without getting hit you even get rewarded with another 500 points. I've played this game a long time as a survivor main. Recently I've been looking at perks other survivors use just to have something different to try. I have noticed something about 1 perk in particular. If you play survivor very much at all you have been in those matches where one survivor seems to somehow always run the killer right to other survivors. I always counted it as coincidental. We've all seen it. It gets down to the last 2 Survivors and 2 things are highly likely to happen: 1) One or both survivors no longer even attempt to work on generators. It becomes a game of hide and seek because working on the a generator makes you the target and you won't get a chance to find the hatch and escape 2) The killer is gonna slug the first person he finds and use them as bait to lur0 comments 21 views last activity

Is there anything about the way a survivor is paired with a killer in the lobby could have somehow created a glitch causing a significantly higher probability of a specific player to go up against a certain killer after crossplay was implemented? I was talking to an acquaintance yesterday that also loves this game. When he plays killer he exclusively uses Myers and his strategy is to slug from the start. He tends to slug one person, stay somewhere close, and slug other survivors as they come to help. He doesn't hang anyone until he has all 4 survivors slugged unless it gets down to 1 gen. If you have played survivor much at all you have run into this scenario. Only need to finish 1 gen. There are at least 2 survivors left. All the other survivors have went into hide and seek mode. They will do a totem. They might even heal someone else, some won't even do that and risk a blown skill check. The bottom line is they aren't even going to attempt to touch a gen. That leaves those of u4 comments 41 views last activity

As a PS4 player I obviously saw this strategy fairly frequently even before crossplay. Since crossplay started though..... Wow! Almost every single game I have played if it gets down to 2 survivors the killer is going to slug the 3rd survivor. While I think there is something that needs to change in that scenario it isn't that killers do it. It's a legit strategy and I understand why they do it.25 comments 452 views last activity

1) Do you have a thought as it pertains to this game? If someone expresses a different thought that means yours is merely an opinion (a wrong one) and theirs is indisputable fact. 2) Do you refuse to acknowledge the superior intellect of the person disagreeing with you? You are an entitled survivor or killer main that just wants to make it easier for your side. 3) Does being called entitled s5 comments 42 views last activity

I just got done with a match where the only time I experienced lag was when the killer was close, and then it was the worst lag I have every experienced in this game. Up until today I've only ever played this game on PS4. I would assume that means I've only played against killers on PS4. While Doc isn't necessarily uncommon on PS4 he wasn't a killer I saw more than every few games. Today almost every single game has been against a Doc. Is Doc a lot better on PC or something? 1 generator start to finish - 80 seconds - 1250 points. Average another 300 for skill checks - 1550 points. That's less than 20 points per second for what should be the primary objective for a survivor. 1 totem - 14 seconds - 1000 points or 1500 if hexed. That's over 71 points or over 107 points per second depending. Hook removal - say an average of 10 seconds by the time you factor running to26 comments 282 views last activity

I rarely get messages from killers after matches. Mostly because I don't DC. I don't teabag. I don't even use flashlights. The rare instances I do get a message from a killer is after a hook suicide. The thing is when I do it you can be sure it is never about the killer. You know those times you are running up for the hook rescue only to have the killer surprise you? I realize a large percentage of you believe there are only 2 options in that situation: 1) Run up and perform an unsafe hook removal risking both you and the other survivor. I mean it does nothing to help the team, but at least you got the points for removal. 2) Run from the killer all the while e0 comments 21 views last activity
