Hey Fellow Survivors

You know those times you are running up for the hook rescue only to have the killer surprise you?

I realize a large percentage of you believe there are only 2 options in that situation:

1) Run up and perform an unsafe hook removal risking both you and the other survivor. I mean it does nothing to help the team, but at least you got the points for removal.

2) Run from the killer all the while ensuring you stay really really close to the survivor that's hooked. You put anyone else that attempts to unhook in danger of taking a hit by keeping the killer close, but that's kind of the point isn't it? You were there first after all, and if anyone else wants to get those hook removal points they need to pay a price.

There's this 3rd option though. It's kind of radical. You might even say it's crazy. But hear me out.

You could attempt to run the killer as far away from the hooked survivor as possible. I mean I know you don't get that satisfaction of knowing you hook farmed a fellow survivor and screwed them over. Someone else may even get points for hook removal if you get the killer far enough away that they can be safely removed. On the other hand if you play in a manner that gives the whole team a chance to survive longer you will likely get more points in the long run than you would have gotten for that cheap hook removal.

So if you're determined to play like a self-centered toddler realize sometimes the most selfish thing you can do is whatever gives the whole team the best chance of longer survival.
