  • PS4 is the same. I was playing a match with my friend earlier, we were going against PH on Badham. He vaulted the fence at the school, and was literally inside the doorway when PH swung, but clearly registered he hit the fence/vault window, but he still goes down despite being nowhere close to the swing. I really don't understand how the games suddenly just started collapsing from within over the span of the DLC's release.

  • Let's face facts. MM is borked to hell and back. SWF is the only way to actually win a match since most killers now just resort to camping/tunneling. Killers despise SWF because they're usually some kind of Seal Team 10. Solo survivors get ass kicked because of idiots at Rank 1 who should be Rank 20. The game has gone to crap, and BHVR sure ain't making any hints toward fixing anything. But we will for sure have some kind of Cosmetic next week, because priorities!

It takes a lot of the enjoyment away from the game for everyone. It discourages new players from playing as they don't want to get constantly crushed, and discourages experienced players from playing as those games are not as enjoyable on either side.

Exactly why I let them go. I could have destroyed them easily but it's not right. They wouldn't learn anything from me just bombing down on them. But if this is what MM is going toward, then this games playerbase will shrink fast.

Yes it has got worse I was playing as killer at rank 1 and got matched up with 3 rank 20s and 1 rank 19

I had this earlier. 3 Rank 16's and a Rank 18. And I'm Rank 5. I thought they were just a SWF messing around at first, but the mistakes at pallets and constant failed skill checks started to ring alarm bells for me. I ended up just letting them all leave and messaged them all but man. MM REALLY needs to be fixed! They can't keep saying it's coming 'soon'. It's becoming a joke!

  • I've never understood this need for shirtless male characters. I mean, more power to the people who want it, but why?

    They don't care for feedback.

If you watch Scotjund video, the one he says he's taking a break, he mentions something about telling the devs beforehand the new map was bad.

Which makes me think they got feedback from the map, and chose to ignore.

This is every PTB and DLC released. Everyone commented on how bad the map felt, the fact PH was weak and how abusable he is. Yet, no changes. Deathslinger was slated for how low pressure he was, and how he lacked real strength, and not one single piece of feedback was taken into account. The only thing that ever changes from PTB's is Perks and how they work. Usually getting worse than better.

  • Right, 4 years, bugs appearing whenever new DLC releases, bugs from years past still remaining. But sure, people who paid for this game don't have a right to complain. How dare they I guess.

  • I'm having Skill check bugs right now. A skill check just randomly vanishes from the screen and never shows the entire match. Makes the sound, and if I manage to guess right, it works, but most times it just alerts a killer to me. Only happened a couple of times so far, but it shouldn't be happening at all. I'm honestly close to leaving this game for a while until these bugs get sorted. This is getting beyond stupid now!

  • Sounds like it could be a VPN killer. Had a Scratched Mirror Myers doing it for me in my last match. Checked the pause menu, 2 other survivors were having 500+ Ping, but me and the othe guy were at 60. It also somehow bugged my Skill Checks completely and nothing would appear on screen. I really hope BHVR sorts this crap out. It's getting super annoying to play against killers like this, and the damn bugs don't help matters

  • Damn it. Now I'm going to be staring at PH's ass everytime he appears just to see if it is flat.

  • 100% the best is Ghostface. Who doesn't want a selfie with him? Sure, it costs you your life, but it's worth it! Worst for me is Wraith and Trapper. They're just so bland.

I would love a solid 3 months of just constant bug fixes, the different teams could work on bugs and QoL in their own respective departments, I could imagine a solid 3 months where they could fix mmr, put in the new hit scan, balance some things out, optimize console a lot and optimize pc more, and fix a bunch of the killer, survivor, map and other bugs.

Seeing a mid chapter with a massive list of QoL changes and bug fixes would make me wet

It's a shame they don't see the light and finally do this. I could care less for a new DLC for a few months. I'd rather see the game get improved overall, rather than have another 20 cosmetics slammed into the game, a killer that will, most likely, break other killers and in turn let a ton of bugs start popping up.

  • No, they're still broken. There's an update sometime this week that fixes them. I'd assume it was tommorow, but since they said 'late next week' I'm guessing it could be more toward the Thursday/Friday region.

As a survivor? I consider it a win if I had fun without being toxic.

As a killer? I consider it a win if I get a 2k. Without tunneling, camping, playing as fair as possible, trying to ensure everyone has fun, because hearing someone had fun is much better for me than knowing I had fun at the cost of a fat Ebony and a silent-bell Wraith (or ForeverFreddy(tm) or Insta-shock Doc).

100% this. Even if I don't get 1 kill, as long as the survivors were fun to go against, I'm happy to let them leave. I feel like if we just show them we're not all mega sweaty tryhards determined to get kills, then they go to their next match a little more relaxed and happy, and might share that same courtesy to their next killer

  • I prefer Aftercare over Bond as it's saved me and another survivor many times. It's biggest advantage is that, even if I'm Solo Q'ing, if I spot the Killer near me, I can just motion to the survivor to let them know, along with finding a hatch. Bond does have it's advantages, especially if you see someone frantically running toward you, but it's distance of aura revealing is it's downside for me.

And the fact is SWF is not fun for the killer. I deal with that BS, you can deal with camping. It is that fkin simple.

So basically because I have an opinion about this, you feel the need to attack someone for it? Why? I'm not denying SWF isn't fun to go against at times, but what do you lost against them? You get points regardless. What does a facecamped survivor get? Basically next to nothing.

  • @hahadrillgobrrr said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1397007#Comment_1397007

And SWFs bullying killers ruins the experience for the killer. Get off your high horse and just fkin deal with it.

Who's on a high horse here? And when did I mention SWF? Are you just going to make the assumption every single team is SWF? Should I start assuming every single killer is just going to facecamp? No, because not everyone is like that. The fact is, facecamping is not fun for a survivor who get's the recieving end of it.

  • Any killer can be good in the right hands. He's not the strongest killer by far, but he can really mess up a team quite easily. Skilled survivors won't struggle against him, but I've seen so many survivors just fall so fast to him.

    @Mikeasaurus

    It's called abusing a built-in mechanic.

Can you imagine how much killers would <bleep> if vaulting went back to the way it was where there was no entity blockers on windows?

This isn't any different. There should be some type of consequence that benefits the HOOKED survivor. They wanna play the game too.

Exactly my point. Camp all you like as killer, but in the end, it just ruins the experience for the hooked survivor. They get to sit for 2 minutes watching as nobody is able to help. It's not fun waiting for up to 10 minutes in a lobby to be sent right back there because a killer decided they wanted to spend some quality time with you. Sure, a Killer will lose emblem points because of said camping, but what killer really cares these days? There just needs to be some kind of a solution found so that anyone facecamped to death can at least gain something from the match.

I wasn't even caught first in two of the matches. They camped EVERY person they caught.

Call it what you will, but it's scummy to not let anybody enjoy the game because it doesn't punish people ranking up in that method, and solo-q means that if you're camped nobody comes for you or really cares at all.

It absolutly sucks. I've had it happen so many times since I play solo. Even with Kindred active, they still try waste time to get me off. It's not fun, and despite what people say about it 'being a tactic', when 5 Gens are left and you get facecamped to death, that's not a tactic. That's called being a prick.

because in this case there were almost 3,000 people there to witness it happen live.

But @DrDeepwound does bring up a good point. How many regular players have had this happen to them just because a survivor wanted to be a dick that day? How fast do the Devs jump to a regular players defence in this position? Yes, streamers have a lot of people to back it up, but they shouldn't be the only ones to receive instant fixes when normal players suffer and receive zero help.

  • I find it funny everyone just links FnaF to kids just because it was pretty popular with them. I guarantee there are far more adults that enjoyed the game than just kids, the same with the usual Minecraft and Fortnite arguments. I won't deny that FnaF does attract more younger audiences but I don't see the issue. FnaF being in DbD would bring a new playerbase, thus increasing numbers and more profit for the devs. But, these days, it's more fun to jump on the wagon of hate than actually form an original opinion

  • Nurse's and 4 Escape hatch. Both will never happen for me. Nurse because I am god awful, and dedicated servers just break grabs for me. The hatch because even when we have a chance, at least 1 person just runs out the exit gate.

  • I'd assume it just overrides the 10 second version into hopes X second version. Though I haven't tested it, I doubt they'd let a Suvivor turn into Sonic.

  • I've had similar moments lately where I've gone through a couple of bloodwebs before leaving for the night, then when I come back the next day, the BP is back and all the items/perks are gone.

  • Kind of a joke perk based on the night of Solo games I'm having:

    Payback

Each time a Survivor unhooks you within 5M of the Killer, the entity banishes them back to Rank 20 for 2/3/4 Days.

  • You can't force people to play or not DC. If someone wants out of the match, that's there choice. They're aware of the DC penalty so why should they not recieve it? Just because they're getting beat? They don't like X killer/Survivors? Sorry, but theres just no good reason to do it, unless your literally stuck inside the match from a bug. Survivors can suicide and move on. Killers can just go AFK and let survivors get on with it. I do it plenty when I get SWF Gen rushing. They try to run around for my attention but they get bored pretty fast when they realise nobody is reacting to them. End of the day, the DC penalty works fine as is. People need to stop DC'ing if they don't like the penalty.

  • Just why? They don't work at all. Back in the previous event with firecrackers last year, they did nothing but cause me to get really annoyed that a Survivor was dropping the thing. Even when I had someone on me, it didn't save them, it just made me walk into a wall for 3 seconds. The only thing there were good for was messing around with them, and even then, killers didn't go rushing to a noise in the middle of nowhere.

  • Not even slightly. I've met Rank 1 survivors who act like a Rank 20. Rank means very little these days because it's so easy to earn pips as a survivor. I'm a prime example. I absolutly suck in a chase and mindgame myself into the killers hands, but I've managed to maintain Rank 4 because gens, totems and healing other survivors lets me maintain it. Some high ranks are skilled and do deserve to be there for sure, but others are so boosted it's crazy

  • I know the feeling. There are even times when I play killer and get a hit that even I know shouldn't have connected. Or, when a killer gets a pallet dropped on them, but a hit still smacks me and then it registers a stun.

  • Agreed it really needs to be changed. I tried to Adept Leatherface the other day, perfect 4k and nearly 32k points, but a few emblem points stopped me getting Adept. A few damn points. I get that it isn't supposed to be easy, but when you have a near perfect game and it still isn't enough, there's clearly a huge flaw in the system.

  • @HarleyQuinn said:

Not a FNAF fan myself, though I don’t know anything about the games so I can’t say too much. They just never seemed scary to me. But I can admit he is a little unsettling to look at. What even is inside him? Is that all wiring or muscle / sinew?

Both. Essentially, Springtrap is a Animatronic suit that was able to be worn by the employees of Fazbear Pizzaria. The killer, William Afton used the suit to 'lure' kids and kill them, but he ended up being trapped by said kids ghosts. He tried to use the suit to hide, but the suit was designed with 'Springlocks' that: 'When moisture is applied, will cause the suit to malfunction and crush the person within'. So, he was essentially crushed to death, but never fully died. So inside, is the suits wiring, and a rotting corpse.

  • Exhastion perks when used right buy you a few more loops at most. But most survivors I encounter will use them just to try get a slight bit more distance which never works out well. As Survivor myself, I never use them myself and I manage just fine.

  • Special Attacks don't work for any Instadown. So NOED, Haunted Grounds and DH won't activate when he uses his ranged attack on you. So this is a bug if it did down you instantly.

  • I know the feeling of this. During the day, I go into a match as either side and just think 'Yeah, I'll have a mess around. Earn some points, have a nice fun match'. Then night hits and I start taking prescription pills and stabbing Adrenaline into my system ready for a night of pure sweats and tryhard builds. Seriously though, it just get's so damn boring going against the same death build Spirit, or Slugger Billy. I just want one night where people don't try so damn hard to break a world record for quickest escape or 4K deaths.

  • It's working again on PS4 at least. We can click on their names to get to their profiles again. Don't know about Xbox, and don't understand why PC wouldn't be working either.

Hags upskirt doesn't seem accidental. Like that famous Marilyn Monroe pose. 😄 She knows how to work with what she got!

If you got the goods, flaunt them! 😂

It's bad on both sides. I can be peeking out from behind a box or something, barely look at the survivor for any time, and then quickly go back behind the box only for them to still reveal me from completely behind cover.

It's kind of like what Purgatorian said.

Pretty much this. Whenever I play GF I get snapped out when survivors don't even mean to because they suddenly run into a wall in panic when they realise what they just did. But there are also times I've VS'd GF and he was literally up my ass and STILL wouldn't stop stalking. Somedays I wonder if GF is just working as intended and he's just shy sometimes.

  • I feel like I've had too much internet today. I'll never look at Hag or Spirit the same way again!

  • What gives anyone the right to say that X perk shouldn't be used? Should people stop using Urban Evasion because it creates stealth ninjas creeping around hooks? Should people stop running Exhastion perks because they're used once in a chase and become useless? No, because it's down to the individual to decide how they want to play. Who cares if a survivor wants to use Self-Care. Maybe they prefer to rely on themselves over relying on teammates. I for sure share that, because I play solo and trying to find a survivor to heal me can lead to me being downed. I'll always resort to a Medkit but sometimes, you don't have time to go rushing 100 meters across a map looking for someone to heal you, praying the killer doesn't spot you and down you both.

  • I actually love this idea. Even if it wasn't used for Legion, a killer that could essentially manipulate lockers would be a cool killer. It would certainly change up the gameplay for hiding, that's for sure.

  • It's one thing I will never condone from a person. I've messaged a few killers on PS4 out of rage, but never once would I tell someone to die, or commit suicide or get X illness. People who do message people like this are usually ones who just act out trying to be clever because it's the internet and you can't touch them. The issue is though, that one day they could say it to a person who could be at a breaking point in their life. Some people just don't think before they speak, and I really fear for the future of this world because of it.

  • You aren't the first to bring this up, and won't be the last. A lot of us who bought it were really disapointed that nothing changed, apart from a unique lobby pose. I was really disapointed that there's nothing unique, apart from the huge price I had to fork out for it. I really hope they do add something to this skin in a future patch, otherwise I will never buy another legendary skin set again.

  • I wouldn't say it's unfair, but it's not exactly fun for anyone. A survivor who gets tunneled from hook and is put right back up there has their game pretty much ended right there. I wouldn't really care if I got tunneled so much, but I really don't enjoy waiting over 10 minutes for a match to be smacked in the face multiple times until I die on hook. It's really not that interesting.

  • @thottiepippen said:

I never run it. I play to have fun. Not make people miserable online. Try it sometime.

I used to play that way. Then I got tunneled off hook repeatedly. So I use DS ONLY when they try tunnel me. I cannot stand people who make the killer chase them to a locker to get a free DS.

  • It's because most survivors I run into refuse to even touch bones. As Survivor, I always hunt them out for BP and Inner Strength, and as Killer I never use NOED anyway, but I always see bones left standing at the end of a match. The only time I see survivors scramble for totems is when they realise NOED just activated, and at that point they either run right out the door, or die trying to find it. I choose the first option personally.

  • My first 10 minutes consisted of me playing PH against a SWF team doing a conga line through Lery's. Seriously, no joke. They just stood there in a line crouching along. They all died of course, and I was told I was very disrepectful for not acknowledging the conga line. I mean, whatever's fun I guess.

  • You can't just go into a lobby assuming every match will be a SWF. You do that, and you basically make every match miserable for yourself. Trust me, I've been there. I encounter a lot of SWF, and if I'm going to lose, so be it. I got points so who really loses in any situation? Just because you don't get a 4k doesn't mean you lost. Sure, many class a 4k or a 4k escape as a win, but to me I just want to enjoy my match, win or lose. Just don't take matches so seriously and you'll start enjoying yourself. Heck, even if you are losing, just start messing with survivors. You'd be surprised at how many will join in and just start messing around.

Yeah. I think he is good to watch when someone is new to the game. But the more other Content Creators I watched, the more I disliked tru3, because I saw what mistakes he did and that he was blaming them on other factors. I unfollowed him basically when he was the highest with his complaints. And because his Chat is a toxic Bubble. There was one game where he lost (got a Viewer Build), and one Survivor wrote that they are lucky that it was a paid build. And well, the Chat was all about Streamsnipers (which his Chat does often - accusing people of Streamsniping or using the words "toxic" and "SWF" together basically all the time), where I was like "Eh, he knows tru3 and so it is not really a miracle to get that this was a paid build".

God, I got insulted that day in his Chat. So yeah... Never again.

Yeah his chat was something I never liked. It felt like there was a huge visable divide between the fans and those who just wanted to point out how he could improve. The second someone had an opinion that wasn't directly matching Tru3's, the chat just seemed to turn nasty. I personally wouldn't allow that to happen if I was a content creator. I prefer to watch others now, such as Tofu for his videos since he will openly admit when he makes mistakes, and he does have good advice. Angrypug is also a good one too, mainly because he's just hilarious to watch.
