WE KILLERS NEED THIS

WE NEED to choose our hex totems spots, im thinking that you might choose them from the main menu a option called hex locations or somtething liek that, so we can select the location we want them to be, im tired my totems getting cleansed straight away the match starts.

What do you think?

  • I have an all Hex build for one of my characters so my answer to that is just overwhelming them and forcing them to do bones. Meh. I rarely ever use that character though.

  • I never use Hex totems because they are out right garbage. Ruin spawns always right next to a gen on the opposite side of map. You can try multiple Hex builds and still Ruin is the first one to go.

idk man just dont use totems. Even with choosing their spawn, theyll still get found. Its pure chance if you even get value from them. Ive learned to use builds that survivors have ZERO control over. I can more consistently dominate that way. Why would you run perks that survivors have a say in whether you get to use them or not? I choose my destiny LMAO not survivors

  • This could be bad because survivors will probally have to memorize totem spots.

  • Being able to choose loactions yourself is a little unfair imo. You could literally place them in locations where survivors would never think to check, and while that would be great, it's not fair for survivors. Yes, Hex totems do go fast, but that's the risk you take. High risk, with high reward.

  • That's the risk you take when you use Hexes

Sometimes The RNG loves you and sometimes The RNG does not

  • Most Hex totems are not too Godly. Devour Hope is the only real threat, still easily countered by cleansing or unhooking before the killer is out of range to get a stack. It’s ok if they cleanse it...they served their purpose...to buy you time.

Buying you time is there real strategic purpose, even if it is only 15 seconds of cleansing. That’s 15 seconds of gen work gone...or almost 1/3 of a generator repair...don’t rely on hex totems for your strategy, use them as a deterent.

Id prefer for the killer to have some control over the map layout. Like in RE Resistance, where you select your preferred preset, and then RNG will add everything else.

  • i like the idea but i not sure if it would work out.

  • Totem perks are high risk high reward. If you could choose the spot they would have to nerf the perk

  • Giving Killers the choice to place totems isnt fair.

But they should give Killers the choice to pick dull totems into Hex-es. So at least your Hex isnt in the middle of emptiness in Nurse realm

  • That would be awesome and I would totally support the pre-loading of totems. However I’m afraid the RNG features on the maps make this unlikely. Still, it would be a great way for new players to learn the maps if they get to walk around at leisure while setting their spawn points!

In case it’s not a feasible idea, might I suggest a couple of related perk ideas I’ve suggested in the past?

    • Boneyard: 3/4/5 additional dull totems will spawn.
    • Buried Secrets: All totems are buried under dirt piles (or other debris appropriate to the map) that survivors must dig through before they can see or cleanse the totem. At least 5 extra dirt piles will spawn nothing beneath them. A dirt pile takes 3/4/5 seconds to clear away.
