This is why we say rank doesnt matter. Because it isnt the "true skill" level. It's more consistency and time played. Not skill. Its why rank 10s beat rank 1s.
So if the mmr works, it will match accordingly, because rank doesnt matter.

Do you actually not know how to read? MMR matches you against players of all skill levels before settling your numbers.
Read that five or six times before replying again in all caps. New players will be ranked the same way everyone else is: By testing their skills against players of varying skill levels. That is how MMR establishes a baseline rating.
Do you know how to read? System should not put inexperienced players versus extremely experienced players. No matter how it wants to calculate the ######### numbers.

Ranks are not a factor in the MMR system. It literally has 0 impact on the matchmaking. It is establishing a new matchmaking precedent. It will settle.

MMR BAD
I have been playing a lot and system still doesn't work. I was in a lobby with every survivor having ~1k hours, killer was brand new rank 20 PH with 1 perk. Match before that against rank 1 killer with almost 3k hours and had 1 good survivor and couple baby survivors. I'm way over past 30 matches and still it hasn't calculated MMR to be even remotely fair matches.

Killers should always slug for the 4K anyways. If they want their MMR to ever improve. Not sure why someone wouldn’t do that to begin with. It’s a bit silly to purposefully not get a 4K and to allow them to escape via hatch unless that’s what you wanted to begin with.
Quite frankly I find it incredibly boring to slug for 4k. Which is why I don't do it. 3k is fine and if I find the hatch first, most of the time it turns in to a 4k.

I get ranks 16+ when I play my main killer. I'm rank 4 currently. I tried Wraith which I never play. 3 times in a row ranks 1-4. Like shouldn't it be the other way around? And I have played a lot more than 10 matches.

Pig is my main killer. I like that I can deny loops, go stealth and get a gen grab and most importantly haha drill go brrr.
Jake is my main survivor. I leveled him to get calm spirit and iron will and I've been using him ever since. Great cosmetics also.

Yes, I play CSGO. Where the match can last from anything from 30 minutes to over an hour. And people who play DbD cry about matches that can be over in less 10 minutes. Just because they don't like something they have to have the right to DC. What a ######### joke.

How it is rude? I play CSGO, LoL and even RL that has penalties for disconnecting / leaving. Why should DbD cater the weak who can't play for 10 mins or less of a game they don't like? You can always go in a corner and cry while you are are afk. You do not need to DC.

All I think about these "MMR will kill the game" threads is people are afraid of challenge. They want to bully and get easy games. Matchmaking is bad and has been for a while. You can get red rank killer as yellow / brown rank survivor and you can get red rank survivors as yellow / brown rank killerr. How can MMR kill the game when all it does is make matches more fair, if it works properly?

Yes it is Steam only game and will probably always be because it is made by Valve. But if you get the chance, try it.
I'm plat 2. I could probably get diamond if I'd start playing solo and putting some more hours into it but don't feel like stressing with RL. 😅

Yeah, I played pretty much only CSGO for couple of years. RL is fun to play with friends. I never have enjoyed it as solo.

I grind points mostly on my main killer. Then spend them to whatever I feel like at the moment. Currently I'm spending points on Meg and Ace in preparation for upcoming rift challenges.
