Seriously, it’s just a loop fest.

Survivors loop. And, if they’re good enough, you can’t mindgame w/o spirit. If you try to chase and hook one, boom! 3 gens, right there. And with DS we have to catch them twice to actually get them. And most loop, causing those last 2 gens to pop. Then there are flashlights. Loop, slam. Blind. This toxic behavior is unacceptable.

Play nurse or spirit for example

Thats a jumpscare that happened twice to me this year, but only once until you realize that he is runnign that build, then you just loop him for hours since he has basically the same movement speed

Genrushing isnt a thing, just like tunneling isnt a thing. Its just a player doing his objective effectively

Generator isn't a person, it's a game asset and doing gens doesn't prevent the killer from playing the game nor does it eliminate him from the game. Genrushing is something killers say when they feel they did not have enough time to get a 4K. I've had killers complain about the 'genrush' in after chat even when they got 2-3 kills.

Doing the gens in a few minutes eliminates him indeed from the game. Personally I get less frustrating when I just get tunneled/camped and die very fast than when I am being looped while gens pop left and right.

Tunneling is sth survivors say when they feel that they did not have enough time to genrush. Ive had survivors complain about the "tunneling" in after chat even if I didnt get a kill on the "tunneled survivor"

Yes, but unfortunately a lot of high rank players prefer to verse low rank killers and play SWF with low rank survivors which puts them against less experienced killers

Because it has unlimited range and you only need it in one perkslot out of 16 and your whole SWF has the knowledge

then if you know who the killer is, like billy or nurse, you really dont need to know who the killer is because all you hear is a banshee screeching for air or a revving chainsaw, but other killers like spirit and myers tier one and freddy they dont work well or at all on

Yes it is useless against freddy (but your playing against freddy anyway....). Against spirit it works very well since she needs to be in the real world to break stuff. Aura detection only doesnt work when she is using her ability, but thats nto relevant for this perk.

And even against nurse or billy its extremely useful to know their precise location, but the killers who are hurt most by the perk are those who cant travel so fast. I agree on this one

Bit of a click baity title, but I need to know. I heard that with the new patch and it's graphics update, skill checks will now be 60 fps. And this might make it easier to hit great skill checks.

I'm just curious if anyone who played the ptb for a while has noticed any big difference in the effectiveness of Hex: Ruin, or if it is indeed easier to hit great skill checks now. Since it's the only viable perk for killers to slow down the game, it would be a shame if it would become less effective, especially since it's always a risk to use Hex: Ruin. Although I do like the idea of skill checks becoming smoother, no doubt.

Against competent survivors, ruin has alwasy been laughable. What makes ruin so bad is the fact that its a hex perk.

But yeah, basically it was a nerf if that is really true

    1) The rank system if you want to have fun and causal remove the rank and make it only quick game. If you want to be more estport then :
Survivors get one pip only and only when they escape
Killer get one pip only and only if he/she has 3+more kills
Double pip gets if they have gathered enough points survivors 9.000 and killer 12.000
Save pip if they only have the points and no the main objective.
Di-pip if they have no of the others two.

    2) Many perks need same love kilers first:
Beast Of Prey: make it to work at the start of the chase
Insidious: ether remove it or add the ability to remove the penalty to saty close to the hook
Pop Goes The Weasel, Surveillance: remove the time limit.
Spies From The Shadows: make it 100% at tier 3 and 42-44 metres as effectively range
Tinkerer: make it so it work for 80 % of Generator
Whispers: make it so it will not count the hook survivor/s

    Survivors perks:
Alert: need a coolwdown at best 15 sec
Borrowed Time, Breakdown, Decisive Strike: i will touch all of them different but here one idea if you want to keep the as it is When ane survivor /s use DS one hex totem will light up and if will break the survivor/s will lose the perk even if he/she didn't use it.
    1) If a killer have a hex then the DS will be in that totem ( one totem 2 perks)
    2) if their more than one hex perks then one will be chosen randomly
3)Nor the killer nor the survivors will know in which totem the DS will be.
    4) we need one or two more perks ( popular perks to be hex too).
Borrowed Time: the timer will only reset full with every mend you make and it will need other survivo/s to get rid of
Breakdown: make it so it will work only for rescued and the time be first tier 1:00 min, second tier 1:30 and last tier 2 min.
Decisive Strike : give to the killer a counter like count to 2 sec and hit if you do it correct you hit them ( or samethink like that)
Kindred: add the effect when an other survivor is hook you see the aura of the other 2 survivors
We're Gonna Live Forever: add the ability to gen stacks when you fully healan ather survivor

    3) Many survivors and killers love chase and mind games so just replace the more common loops (not buildings) with new and more mind game and the same time remove the ultra safe pallets.

    4) End game. When all the other survivors have die except one give this survivors a free left behind and to the killer the ability to close the hatch , then the survivor can reopen it by doing 1 Generator if all the Generator are done the killer can't close the hatch.

    5) Finaly killer improve
Trapper : can cary 3-4 traps and the trap will reopen after 1 min
Wraith : can attack from invisibility but every time he will be more visible and a little slower.
Pig : make less noise from the ambush attack and only her can see the timer on the Reverse Bear Traps.
For the other killer i will wait the new update to see what they need.

Please i will like to here your thoughts .

    1)
Sounds reasonable, but I dont like the idea with points.
Ranking up needs to become significantly harder.

    2)
Beast of the prey needs a whole rework if you ask me, same applies to insidious.
Its good that the hooked one cuotns for whispers too, otherwise it could be abused for camping.

Im not gonna start talking about survivor perks, the devs showed how scared they are to change stuff, so whatever

    3)
I prefer mindgames over dull running in circles

    4)
    ok

    5)
Trapper needs a complete rework just like freddy. SWF has hurt his ability so much......
Wraith: Give him real invisibility, but he shouldnt be able to attack out of it.
Pig: The sound should trigger shortly after she started charging, not before the charge. I dont care about the timer personally

It's not an entire wasted game for the person hooked.

    It's two minutes.

Then they jump into the next game.

Except if you are in a SWF group and need to wait for them to finish, and queue times can be stupid long. Hopefully that changes. Its also a waste of any offerings or items you brought.

If you are in a SWF, your mates can pop all gens while you are on hook and easily finish the game. Whats the deal?

    Just to put some numbers.
A gen takes 80 seconds to complete, which means that during your 120 sec hook duration your mates can easily knock out 3 gens. Together with the 40 remaining seconds and the work done before you have hooked, this should be a free escape already.

You probably dont even have the time for a quick WC break till your mates are done

No, I'm not complaining about killers camping. It's a legit strategy and I'm not saying it should be removed or anything. But it is unfun as a survivor. What I suggest is a perk/base game mechanic/kindred buff that does this:

"When killer is within 16m, the auras of 1/2/3 random gems are revealed. All survivors complete gens 15%/15%/20% faster until unhooked or dead."

Edit 1: "if a survivor is within 16m the perk is disabled."

This way survivors can punish camping effectively while killers can secure the kill. The numbers can be tweaked I just thought this was a good premise. And the survivor can suicide on the hook quicker without screwing the other 3 so bad.

Edit 2: with this introduction the chaser penalty should be removed.

Camping already is punished heavily by the existing game mechanics

    Honest answer?

BHVR didnt really think about the implications of the hatch mechanic when they created it. And back in the days I cant remember that I ever was in such a situation.

It simply is a flawed mechanic and even those entitlted survivors know this (even if they wont say so in public). BHVR already suggested a hatch closing mechanic, but then withdrew it last second. That was half a year ago and im still waiting, but on the other hand thy also scrapped the DS and SC rework..... I see a pattern here

The only thing you can do as killer is slugging the last 2 survivors and hope that they dont DC for each other

ye i mean that seems to be the only thing to do, but i generaly think the one who found the hatch first deserves to be the winner i this situation but as of right now if the survivor has full hp hes the winner no matter what. A closing mechanic would be great to have. And thanks for an honest and a respectful answer.

Because I doubt that I will try to save you vs a patrolling killer. You will just kick me in the face I will die for nothing. No thx

Obviously I don’t like dying on the hook. That’s a silly question.

Also if you reread my original post you would see I was commenting on a specific player who was working with the killer. If you are concerned about dying after trying to save them, don’t point at lockers that people are in when a killer approaches, or point at walls/window openings people are crouching behind to tell the killer where people are. If you are working with the killer then you probably haven’t been hooked, and wouldn’t be hooked if you tried to help them farm more hooks. Also, if the killer did decide to turn on you while you tried farming, I would be okay with that since you helped me get hooked in the first place.

You’re assuming when I would use it, and not using your words to inquire more about the mechanic and why I would like it. Ask questions, and you can make better informed opinions.

I have been trolled enough by survivors to know how they could abuse such a feature

If the game isn't lagging unbearably then it's just a tunnel fest.

Before you cry "w3lL dun get c@Ught lol" they stil tunnel other survivors to death.

You get penalized if you don't unhook. Plus its not nice to leave someone on the hook. But you have to. Because every killer walks a little bit away from the hook then quickly runs back to tunnel the unhooked guy before he can get away. Game after game after game this is the strategy of every 9 out of 10 killers.

Its absolutely awful for the person being tunneled and its boring as hell for the remaining survivors.

Dont give me "its a legit strategy" approach. Its garbage and has completely ruined one side kf the game.

They need to make some extreme changes to make this playable again. Its only worth it in SWF or playing killer now.

The more pressure you put upon the killer, the more likely he will camp.

I am really curious whats going to happen next patch with aura removal and BT lifted to DS lvl

I was worried about survivors exploiting BT when I read about the changes. I mean I leave the hook anyway but some will rush an unhook before you even have chance to leave the area.

That said with how bad the camping is IMO, I think this had to be done. There's no way around it. At least this way the unhooked guy will have a chance to defend himself.

You do realize that the change will cause even more killers to camp?
Camping is a disease that is caused by the core mechanics of the game and trying to "fix" it with emblem penalties or an insane strong second chance perk is no solution, no it will even worsen the problem if you ask me.

But we will see, maybe my predictions are wrong

Stop unhooking survivors and the killers will stop camping.

So, let all the survivors get one hooked then? How about no. And camping doesn't mean in your face. It means staying REALLY close, heartbeat close, so they can tunnel you when you get unhooked. Its stupid, it ruins the survivor experience, and it destroys immersion. Killer mains will always cry about something, thats just who they are, but intentionally camping like that needs mega severe consequences.

What should a killer do instead?
Walk to the other side of the map, get nothing done and lose all the pressure he has applied?

Tell me what other possibilities we have at the moment.

Of course from a killer perspective.

100% right. I have no clue why the Devs rebuff BT again.
Giving the survivor more tools to pull off bad unhooks will not "solve" camping.

Give the killer a good reason to leave the hook, like a permanent action speed penalty for each time they got hooked. So the once hooked survivor would be less of a threat to the objectives and it would be more viable to spread out the hooks among the team to get the debuffs.

    THAT would help versus "camping".

You just want killer buffs for ez 4ks, classic killer main :sarcastic:

If the random people I get put with unhook anyway for the points cus of the stupid benevolence system and let each other get tunneled faster then what does that have to do with me? I can't stop that.

I manage to get the hatch many times against the spirit. But sat holding M1 while they circle the hook and then having them force a 10 minute hatch stand off isn't fun at all.

It has nothing to do with not being able to beat them you toxic person, its the fact that its as dull as watching paint dry. Why dont they try getting good? Spirit can be hard to use fsir enough, so a lot just dont use her power to chase they simply use it to camp the hook instead. Its sad.

I didn't call you anything and I'm not a Killer main, so clearly you're thinking of someone else.

So a Survivor decides to farm you for points, but the Killer is the one at fault? Walk me through your thought process.

If you're not having fun with this game, you should switch to something else. I hear Civilization is good.

just because a survivor farms another off a hook in front of a killer, it doesn't mean the killer must capitalize on the event.  unless of course, they are desperate.

Of course the killer is desperate if he takes advantage out of a survivor missplay.

They probably thought it would be too powerful. Legion can hit survivors all day long with his ability so I can imagine that they thought he'd be seeing NC auras left and right if lots of pressure is applied. He then could bait survivors into stopping the healing and start the timer or he can rush in and get a hit. I still don't think that'll make him strong enough to compete with other killers, especially that his potential would lie in a perk.

Thanks, you exactly described how the Legion SHOULD work.
Of course from a killer perspective.
Killer player want killer that can actually do their job and KILL.
But the Devs created Legion to entertain the survivor.
So killer player will buy -with money or shards- something that is not "made for them", but is "advertised" as it.
Legion will be the perfect "killvivor" (survivor that play killer sometimes and just play how they want the killer to play).

Any killer main who buys legion after this PTB and is dissapointed deserved it tbh.
Even the perks are completely useless, I will completely skip on this one if there are no massive changes done

Being AFK alone is not bannable. If your dog is whining to go out and you step out and forget to cancel matchmaking, no biggy. We're not going to ban you for that. Accidents happen, emergencies happen, I ain't about to come clean up that mess for you so we'll let it slide.

When it does become a problem is when you do it a lot. Going AFK ruins the game for others. If someone just wants to play the game normally and they keep running into an AFK killer (or even an AFK survivor), that's going to ruin their fun. If someone notices, "Hey, this guy is always AFK when I run into them." and reports you, you would likely get a ban for that. It would start as a temporary ban, but temporary bans eventually escalate into permanent bans.

Short version, it would be ruining the game for people who just want to play normally, so you shouldn't do it excessively.

Thats new to me. In the steam forums mods told me that afking would never be bannable unless you hold someone hostage.

Does that mean that in order to derank, it would be best to employ a mix of afking and DCing not to get banned? So far I never DCed because I dont want to waste the survivors offerings, but if you really get banned for extensive AFKing, then maybe I should DC a few games too? Sounds really weird to me, but whatever I guess.....

You just need to improve your skills through practice.

    Maybe you're right. Done already.

Bubba camping now delivers a lot more problems, when i playing solo. Other surv often go to save, and mass suicide on chainsaw. But this is problem of foolish surv.

Thats a problem of the ranking system that allows complete idiots to rank up and ruin your games

  • I dont like clown either.
You have no map pressure and your ability is supposed to counter loops, but the problem is that it doesnt actually counter them, especially if you are being looped by a competent survivor that knows when to switch loops etc.

My recommendation is the same as with any other loopable killer. Identify the weak spot in the team (especially in SWFs), catch and tunnel him because catching him wont take that much time. You can even use the overaltruism of his friends and try to get them this way instead of following them through the loops

  • If it actually was healing, then this would open alot of possiblities. You could run sloppy butcher, SC would take twice the time etc etc
