    Oh look it happened again.

Switch to P3 claudette with decisive and a flashlight at the last second, and burn a coldwind locket too.

Utter [BAD WORD] garbage game. With the most cancerous community ive ever seen.

I know peole say punish them, but they take sprintburst and then manage to make it around the 50 pallets on the map. Cant really afford to take decisive because it grants them another few loops. Before people say bring enduring, nope becauze of how the #########  game works i cant have enduring unless I put millions on millions of points into whatever character I chose.

So its basically throw the game to punisb this person or let them get away with it. I was running no add ons because i wanted to try a different killer and have ######### perks with this killer.

Again, when they have no fear of the killer because of the stupid mechanics if the game i guess....pretty good job so far.

Would be a shame if the game crashes or if there was some IRL thing needing your attention.
Those flashlight guys need your attention, they want to know that there is a human they can bully. If you simply go afk, they DC most of the time, but sometimes there are some rare individuals that dont get bored tbagging and flashing and afk killer for ages :sarcastic:

    Same.

They can waste a fair amount of time though with DS. Plus they'll burn offerings for their best maps and get their mates to bring instaheals.

It's really sad. I know survivors complain about nerfs but they can't have it that hard when so many have no fear of the killer.

They complain about nerfs because they fear that soon they have to fear the killer.

Yes its sad, but I dont understand why these type of player purchases a horror game in the first place.

  • I (almost) always get players from EU and im from germany.
The only time I get other regions is when I play early in the morning or very late during night.

Read over the new feedback, I'll give my thoughts here.

Regarding the changes to deep wound: I don't feel like this would be a significant change. If it's a 60 second timer by default and depletes at a 50% rate during a chase, you're still looking at two minutes before they actually go down. Sure, you could use your power again to shave off a little more time, but if it takes 30 seconds to cooldown, you're still looking at a significantly long chase just to down someone with it. For that reason, I don't really see the need to have it deplete at a reduced rate in a chase at all if the timer is going to be extended.

Being unable to mend yourself back when injured would be neat. I think that more than anything could give the legion a lot of power. It would slow down survivors more than they currently are (where they can immediately start mending the second you turn your back and move to the next survivor), and more importantly, it would allow you to interrupt the probably-still-injured survivors as they're mending each other up, which plays nicely into his power.

Regarding frenzy changes: I'm mostly on board with this, I don't see any real downside here.

The QOL change: I wouldn't want to see that happen. Removing the double stun is one thing, but reducing the fatigue period if you purposefully end frenzy would make the killer very overpowered. You could tag a survivor with deep wound (injuring them), catch back up in frenzy, end frenzy, close the small distance they gained very quickly, and then use a regular M1 to down them. Unless they are immediately next to a window or pallet when your frenzy ends, they're dead.

The big issue with frenzy is that it ignores all of a survivor's counterplay. Pallets don't save you, windows don't save you, nothing does. If the legion gets remotely close, they're going to hit you. That's why I see it as a very tricky killer to balance. How do you make a guaranteed hit powerful without making it feel unfair to play against? And at the same time, how do you make a guaranteed hit weaker without making it feel weak to play with? It's a tricky situation, I don't really think there is a right answer to.

In any case, still good feedback, I think the general idea is good but the killer itself is incredibly touchy to balance. It's hard to say whether or not it would be enough or whether it would make them overpowered, but it could be interesting. I would say that the fatigue reduction couldn't happen, though, that would make him way too powerful at something he's not designed to do.

And thats my biggest issue with this design.
As you said, there is no counterplay from a survivors perspective, all you can do is try to gain a few more seconds. Thats why the power itself has to be so weak, but thats just flawed design in my opinion.

My real problem with the current changes is the insane buff to BT. I mean I can ignore the new killer and simply dont play him, but I cant ignore those BT squads

Seeing you post the same thing 3 times in a row which lead me thinking you're internet connection isn't stable at all, I would hurt even you

Still hilarious to see the irony of it

If I would post such a thread every time a survivor DCs, then you would think that Im playing from mars
Its not a secret that DCing is out of hand since BHVR has no harsh punishments for it, I dare to say that they cant even detect who is the one that DCed which is the reason why they have such absurd high rates for the automatic trigger otherwise I cant really explain this behaviour

  • Its BHVR implementing, all their stuff works in 2D only. Thats the reason why terror radius is always there, no matter on which floor you are etc etc. Also I assume that this 2D implementation prevented proper hitbox detection in the early days and thus they took as usual the easy way and implemented a hitcone detection.(2D again  )

Dont expect this to change, it would probably require fundamental recoding

  • Its not a secret that you can be blinded from the side.

Of course you can take these games competitively and "git gud" just liek so many others claim that such SWFs are beatable.

Or you take my solution, go afk and see this match as a start to derank because apparently the unfun areas of the ladder have been touched

  • Not all killers are meant to be viable (guess that also holds when talking about BP  )

  • I dont even want his teachable perks.
Guess I will complete skip this one if they dont do some real changes til live

  • Its an intended feature, I dont like it either though^^

  • Fallout 76 though.... :sarcastic:

I have been told the new game mode will consists of a random surv selected as the VIP, his/her aura will be visible for the rest of survivors but the killer doesnt know who is the VIP. If the VIP dies, the match ends and survivors lose. The VIP condition provides some special perk undisclosed (maybe auto healing?)

Fake news too? I like the idea thought~

    You have been told?.....

Perhaps Vigil could be tweaked so that you also recover Exhaustion while running? It might be a good tradeoff since the survivor will have one less perk slot.

In addition, I'd still like to see Open-Handed increase the range of Vigil, Leader, Streetwise, etc.

While running, sure but not during a chase

  • ######### happens if DCing isnt really punished

  • Key features of DBD according to the steam store page:

Real People, Real Fear - The procedural levels and real human reactions to pure horror makes each game session an unexpected scenario. You will never be able to tell how it’s going to turn out. Ambience, music, and chilling environments combine into a terrifying experience. With enough time, you might even discover what’s hiding in the fog.

A Feast for Killers - Dead by Daylight draws from all corners of the horror world. As a Killer you can play as anything from a powerful Slasher to terrifying paranormal entities. Familiarize yourself with your Killing Grounds and master each Killer’s unique power to be able to hunt, catch and sacrifice your victims.

I know that Freddy is one of the weaker killers in the game but honestly I don't think he is the worst killer there is.
Add-ons, playstyle and experience can make him a decent a killer. I reached rank 1 playing Freddy only and I know this doesn't make him great but being able to win enough games makes him good enough for me.
A lot of people complain about his ability and I agree the transition time is quite long but there are add-ons to reduce it and you have to take into consideration that Freddy can get extremely near to survivors without them noticing where he is actually coming from. His chase isn't as great as Nurse or Spirit but he got other strenghts. I would rate Freddy a mid-tier killer with the right add-ons and some experience.

Everyone can reach rank 1 thanks to the ridiculously easy emblem system.

And yes, with the very best addons you can do sth with him, but you cant afford them every game. IMO freddy is the weakest killer in the game (so far)

Sure, but dont forget that there is this new perk that disables auras too.

What do you platform do you play on because I would like to play against you right now. Anyone who plays clown gets an average of 1-2 kills per match.

The clown is not op. It is so easy to dodge his bottles. He can still get looped.

Wrong, clown is op in the right hands, as it should be.

Yeah and today in a beautiful green sky when I played DbD I wrecked people by flying with the clown putting jack in the boxes everywhere scaring the living ######### out of people

I'm sorry you don't know how to play with the clown.

I'm sorry you just play 50% of the game

I don't, i play both killer and survivor, try again.
If you played more as a killer you would know that the clown is not as bad as you think.

So now you know what I think?

I just stated and mads it clearl isn't even slightly opened, he's mid tier in my tier list but nothing special

Your mind reads are pretty weak, try again

You are just guessing mate, can you provide some real proof?

    Wat
    Wait what??
Please tell me what you smoke, it must be really good. I have no idea what are you talking about

Mmh i see, u dont understand.
The clown is mid tier due to your skills.
I'm not saying i'm good with the clown, but i've seen clowns keeping the map pressure as good as a billy.
@Blueberry has over 2K hours and despite the fact that we usually disagree he will tell you that the clown is a good killer as well.

Good killer isn't mid tier? Wait what?

Dude now I seriously doubt your sanity. Mid tier is the new trash tier? And now what's this Clown as equal as billy, are you okay?

That statement alone is so dumb, okay whatever dude. I really don't know what to tell you if you think one char that have a power nurse like with instadown that can make pressure over the entire map in seconds at the same level as a M1 killer with bottles to slow survivors I don't know what to tell you

I actually won't even talk to you honestly after seeing dozen of posts from you with this kind of flawed logic. You might be rank 20 or just played for less than 2weeks, that might be it, still we cannot agree in anything. When you start thinking then maybe we can have a discussion

Good killer = above mid tier
Keep it that way mate, i like it when someone is that hostile. Makes me be right.
Edit: yeah, rank 20 mate, whatever makes you feel better

    Console yikes

When ane survivor /s use DS one hex totem will light up and if will break the survivor/s will lose the perk even if he/she didn't use it.
    1) If a killer have a hex then the DS will be in that totem ( one totem 2 perks)
    2) if their more than one hex perks then one will be chosen randomly
3)Nor the killer nor the survivors will know in which totem the DS will be.
    4) we need one or two more perks ( popular perks to be hex too).

    I like this idea.
I assume there is only one hex combined for all survivor perks?

I would just like to know why it is that a killer is made with a massive easy to aim large radius gas that greatly slows and disorients players while giving him the fastest killer speed in the game? It makes it crazy easy to catch survivors in chase and gives him such massive control over the match that it's literally not even remotely fair to play against him.

I'm a rank 1 killer and I use a level 1 clown and still get at least 3 every match. That's ridiculous.

    What are you guy's thoughts?

ok bro, fastest killer of the game

  • @nikodelpino said:
I think the idea of closing the hatch was good, but I also think that survivors should be able to open it again. I'll explain myself.

Just imagine a situation where there is only one survivor remaining in the match. There are 3 possible situations:

1.) Survivor finds first the hatch. Nothing to explain here, they can go without any opposition of the killer.

2.) Killer finds first the hatch. The killer can have a 5 second animation in which he/she closes the hatch and go and search for the last survivor. The last remaining survivor can still open the hatch with another 5 second animation, the only thing that changes is that they will just have more issues to find the hatch since it's closed and they can't hear it anymore. Obviously the opening animation of the hatch can be interrupted by the killer, the survivor has to do this if the killer is not there.

3.) Both of them find it at the same time leading to a hatch standoff. In this situation the killer can procede to close the hatch in the 5 second animation mentioned before. The survivor can't jump inside the hatch while the killer is closing it, but they can use those 5 seconds and try to lose the killer or in the worst of the cases just make distance in case the killer chases them. If the survivor loses the killer they can go back to the hatch and open it again with the 5 second animation mentioned (again, if the killer is not there).

In case the killer camps the closed hatch (boring in my opinion but legit) the last remaining survivor can simply repair generators to power the exit gates and have more ways to escape rather than the hatch only. In this situation the last survivor depends on how efficient were the other 3 team mates repairing generators before dying, remember this is a team work game, it depends on how good you were all as a team to leave the last remaining survivor with 3, 2, 1 or non generators left to do. The more gens to fix, the more it favors the killer.

So basically your fix to the hatch standoff is another standoff?
The survivor leads the killer to the hatch, killer cant close hatch cus of 5 sec animation, hatch standoff voila

SWFs aren't the problem! You just have to play about 12 hours a day to hone being a killer! Get good like me!
    eyeroll

Goddamn, really? People commenting to "git gud" that get to play the game a shitton more than most, and are probably running a huge arsenal, if not a full arsenal of perks telling people that likely don't have the hours, or perks that one of the hardest ways to play the game is fine?

I swear the way they talk, and offer nothing to help combat SWFs is BEYOND useless. Bragging don't help.

People that stream, have massive arsenals, lots of time to play, etc. are so far removed from the average player, and their problems. Period. That's it.
They don't know anymore what it's like, and they normalize their experiences with everyone else' to the point that anyone that defies their "normal" looks crazy. The way they go on about liking the difficulty, never dodging, etc. that they look at people who don't enjoy the difficulty spike as anomalies. smh

It's like a millionaire telling an average person to just cut a check to get major car repairs done, or something.

P.S.: With upcoming changes to BT, a perk that breaks hooks, aura blocking lockers, and who knows what else favoring survivors, being a killer looks like it's going to start to suck.

Why do streamers literally playing the game as their fulltime job struggle so much against SWF then?
How is a normal player supposed to compete?

Also, if you throw equally skilled survivors in a SWF against a killer, the SWF will always win if the skillvl is somehow "good" (few exceptions)
