I saw this, a dwight opened a chest near me, i thought he decided not to as he then ran off and it still looked closed. but then a few seconds later it popped open lol.
-
i got a killer adept, so they are working (unless only some are bugged-ive not tried on PP head)
-
after changing to another character, click on the screen with your mouse, and sound returns. no idea why they made it like this. but sound does come back if you click the screen
-
I had same issue, mid game i was running through the map then the whole game crashed, closed completely with no error or anything, when i booted it back up i was timed out....
Also had game kick me back to main menu during loading into a game...
-
click on the screen to bring sound back, no idea why its a thing, but clicking on the screen after changing to someone else brings sound back.

I don't think I've pipped a single time at all since the new update... I don't mind so much, I'm at rank 8 right now, and feel thats where I belong... however, I've had games where I've made 4+ safe unhooks, worked on 3+ gens, done totems, escaped the killer at least once, sometimes not even being hooked at all, and STILL get black pip... I need to know what it is I need to do if I want to pip.. that would help alot, at least I know what to work towards...

ALOT of killers camp even with BBQ and chilli, and even with perks like make your choice, ive seen it. Camping is already a problem, because killers don't want to challenge themselves to hunt down the next survivor just because their aura isn't revealed to them...Distortion not being nerfed will just increase that number.

I've seen killers have perks such as rancor, then tunnel their obsession off the hook. meaning that perk is useless, and they did that to themselves LOL.Honestly, if the Obsession is dumb enough to not stay hidden from me or they're the only Survivor I can get, then I'll chase them even if I have Rancor. Purposefully not chasing the Obsession could also tip them off to you having Rancor (unless they're SWF and a dead member told the others about it).
No, the example I gave about rancor, I was obsession, I was first found, and caught and hooked fairly quickly, and as i was unhooked, before my feet hit the ground the killer was right there, downed me, hooked again, and again the last time... the other survivor was right there too, but they got me down and hooked then went after the other... that was their mistake, pointless running that perk if they did not intend on using it.
I've already seen an increase in camping since devs said on a live stream "camping in a strat" its increased at least double from before that, so no doubt it will increase again, alot of killers seem to think its the only way to ensure kills... eyeroll

quite sure its 7 gens, not 8.

I've seen killers have perks such as rancor, then tunnel their obsession off the hook. meaning that perk is useless, and they did that to themselves LOL.I know somethings suck, like a survivor can counter a killer perk, but it works both ways is my argument.
Killer mains moaning that its too hard to get a 4k. wanting buffs to make it easier for killers to 4k EVERY game.. that sucks. I don't expect to escape every game... but if I never escape.. because killers are too OP, then I simply wouldn't play again. I'm sure a lot of people would be the same.
Needs to stay as balanced as it can be, killers have strength and weaknesses, take those weaknesses away and its not a fair game.

@Barron my bear frendf I play the game from day one and I has rank 1 then ( and now) the problem is still have many problem and the game help a lot the survivors ( that ok ) and give less thing a killer to do. The idea we give you here is simply you want to have DS or some ather uncoudnterbol perk fine but you may lose it before you use if you break the first totem you see at the same time killer can use others perk sense survivors may sabotage each other.there are still a lot of perks that become unusable in some games, deliverance, unbreakable, tenacity, adrenaline, to name just a few.... Not every survivor perk should be made to where they can be unusable. just like not all killer perks should be made to become unusable. right now, its only totem perks, and aura perks that are able to be countered, everything else can not be countered.

just because lockers can block auras, does not mean that every single survivor will either 1, think to jump in a locker, or 2, be close enough to a locker to get in one in time for the killer hooking another survivor. agreed the more 'stealthy' survivors will be aware of whats going on and most likely want to hide their aura in a locker, but there are so many survivors who wont. Let it play out and see for yourself. I'd think survivors are aware of the health status of their comrades at all times since it's shown in the HUD, and on screen. I'd say between the indications of when a comrade is injured, then dying, the aura of them on the ground shows up, the aura when they get picked up, and the time to the hook is enough time to find a locker, get in, wait 4 or 5 seconds after the hook, then exit.
Or they could run distortion which blocks BBQ entirely 3 times.
depends, if a player is grabbed off a gen or totem or vaulting etc... we don't get that info, unless we have bond or empathy (or the new perk in ptb) also if killer has knock out we dont get the aura of where that survivor is downed...
And.. some survivors do seem oblivious.. I play solo, and the amount of others who would rather leave you to bleed out than attempt to save you is ridiculous. Also bbq and chilli works on slugged survivors...
You do get that info, though. The grabbed survivor shows up in dying state on the HUD.
If they have knockout, the HUD still shows the health. I don't know if knockout shows the falling animation aura or not.I play solo exclusively. The chaos of not knowing what your comrades will do is interesting. Some are oblivious, yes. Some stay focused on the task at hand if they feel someone else will rescue or they have time to get a gen done before you struggle.
Yeah, I suspect there is going to be a lot of slug plays once all this goes public. But survivors have at least 1 perk that let's them get back up.
yes, if they are left slugged, and not camped.
Also killers who use the addon 'blindness' hinders survivors too...
im not complaining about any of these perks or addons, it makes different games interesting, as gets boring facing the same perks every single game...
but with out auraus we will be forced to camp and lets face it no one not even the killers enjoy camping every game
I've faced many good killers who got 4k before all gens were finished, WITHOUT bbq and chilli and WITHOUT camping... so it is possible, those killers obviously took the time to become good at the killer they choose to play.

no, knockout does not show the aura when they fall down but it will if you hit like grandpa
3 times.... when you really need it (end game, and last survivor) it will be gone. and no chance of escape then as killer knows exactly where you are. If we could choose when the tokens get used up i would agree with that.

but thats the thing surviving is supposed to be hard just like getting a 4k is hard when you have a alrge aumount on this game you wll start to notice some things
Yes I know, I'm not expecting easy wins... but neither should the killer... as I said it seems so easy to get 4k's, with the right perks, or some stupid mistake by another survivor (like unhooking when killer is still close, and the killer choosing to tunnel you straight off hook than go for the other person who unhooked, thats no fault of mine, but means i am dead now! thanks game! )
or a killer who camps every hook, and other survivors being stupid enough to attempt to make the save instead of do gens so all end up dead... doesnt mean the killer was good, but they got the 4k...
but reversed, only time survivors can escape (when not against an afk or farming killer) is stealth, try to never be seen by killer. this of course impacts the points you receive.

The sum of possible conters is, why this change will negatively affect BBQ. After this BBQ will most likely lose it's entire concept of giving you an overview over the entire game situation. An aspect a killer always benefits from.
hiding behind a gen doesnt work, as any killer can tell you, the gen and survivor auras are different colours so you can still see them.
Also if people are relying on this 1 perk to 'sasve them' then they need to challenge themselves to get better at the game.
I've been in games where the killer DID NOT run BBQ and chilli and still annihilated us. Proves it is NOT needed to get a 4k. -
Slugging is still a strat. boring yes, but works.

@strikingearth26 the idea is to make hex perks( survivor) that have no drawback like DS. I know the deliverance and unbreakable have a drawback and that's why are not so use are DS.I don't understand the stigma around DS, I refuse to use it, because 9 times out of 10, the obsession will get tunneled right from the beginning of the game... and secondly, even if I hit the skill check and bounce off the killers shoulder, chances are I won't manage to get that far away before he has hit me back down again. its very situational, I'd need to be in an area where I can loop easily, or have other survivors nearby to block or distract the killer... In almost every game I am in, If I see someone has DS, that by no means, means they will escape the game, in fact in most cases its just like having a target on their back.
I won't use it.its because experienced loopers get a free shoulder escape and usaully make to saftey after a 10 minute chase were you finally hit them its really annoying
Wish I was as good as this XD.
I know some are, usually the one who have played since the game was first released. I only started during summer this year. and still can't loop a killer, unless they themselves are new to the game. But I face so many killers who are very skilled at the game, and me and my team (i play solo) get annihilated within minutes...The issue is on both sides... inexperienced survivors like myself find it hard to escape many games or get enough points to level the characters up, and inexperienced killers (perhaps just on a certain killer) find it hard to get the 4k they all want.
The game needs some sort of hope for survivors, after 10 games in a row of the killers getting 4k's. it kinda sucks... if I NEVER escape any game, I'd end up not playing as there seems no hope.
Alot of perks for survivor are so situational, and useless. calm spirit for example, great against the doctor, but we never know before a game starts who we are facing, is it worth running it just in case? its wasted on any other killer.
Totems are a risky perk to use, some games they are taken out within seconds.. I know. but other games they are hard to find and last all game.
But if survivors have to deal with the 'risk' of certain perks being wasted, then why shouldn't a killer?

unrelated to totem perks, but survivors already 'risk' perks, deliverance... if we get found and hooked first, that perk is now useless, never used and a waste of a perk slot. unbreakable, if the killer picks us up as soon as they down us, then that is again a useless perk that never gets used. same for tenacity. I'm sure there is more perks, but just those are the main ones I have personally 'lost out on' on a regular basis, to the point I don't bother running them anymore.

I watch a streamer who made a character out of one of the survivors, one being "pallet peggy" aim of the game is to drop every pallet on the map, some maps have less than 10 pallets, others have around 14-15. never more than 15 though. just an FYI.
Wrong. The minimum is 15 per map, it took 30s on google to look it up
With a google search, I can only find killer mains speculating on how many pallets per map and most of those were back in 2017, there has been pallet and window vault purges since then... perhaps we should ask a dev for an accurate answer.
OK you can't use google
- In The Game map, set the minimum number of pallets to 15.
Source: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Patches
There you can check that even the smallest map of the game have it. There is a line where its said there is a minimum and maximum of pallets in every map. In a dev stream was been said its 15 at minimum and 20ish maximum depending on the map
So who's speculating now?
Purges of pallets? So remove ONE I say it again ONE pallet in few maps for you its pallet purge. Okay dude, get informed
that is ptb notes, and not in full effect now. will be soon. thankfully! I've seen some maps literally have no pallets in usable places, and windows boarded up that were not before.

for every survivor buff they introduce they have given a perk for killer to counter it... Iron maiden, counters the locker hiding buff.Yeah, but the locker buff isn't a survivor perk, they don't have to sacrifice a perk slot for it. But to counter it, killers do have to sacrifice a perk slot.
If hiding in lockers to block a survivor's aura is going to be a thing, it should at least be a perk. Add it to Distortion or something.
Do you play survivor? It's hard to counter perks of a killer when 1, you don't know what perks they will be running, and 2, you don't know which killer it will be. I know you as killer don't know what perks a survivor is running until the game starts or until in a chase with said survivor. But us as survivors don't know which perks killers run (unless its totems) until we get hit by the killer. by then its too late, we are going down, nurses for example, we can only figure that out when we are hidden, killer doesn't know where we are, we start healing, whether its self heal or a team mate healing, then all of a sudden killer comes straight to us and smacks us and we are down.
BBQ, we only know they are running that for sure when they hook someone then come straight to where you are.
stidor, same thing finish a gen move away from gen to hide but killer knows exactly where you are, whispers... etc etc. so many more perks for killer to find us. we have no perks to counter any of those. even iron will doesn't help against whispers, bbq, stridor etc.I think the only perks we have to counter any killer perk is ones where they warn us when a killer is nearby even if we cant see them.
I know I'm biased, as I main survivor, but I am happy about the new changes. for once I feel they are trying to balance the game, and survivor actually have a chance against a decent play (or one that likes to down and 4k instantly). So many games I play the killer gets the 4k, not necessarily because they are skilled, but because they have so many aura reading perks. Now for those killers it will be more of a challenge...
Also lets talk about BBQ for its points... as a survivor we have 1 perk that will help us to get more points, we're gonna live forever, but that is sometimes useless if 1, the killer camps, 2 uses aura reading perks to know exactly where you are. even with that survivor perk, and even if we max it out, we still cant get as many points as the killer can. and it sucks when a killer finds you first, then tunnels you straight off the hook til your dead meaning you totaled as much as 3k points! so many games end like that for me. its nice to finally have some sort of counter, even if we risk the new perk iron maiden and being exposed for a time. -

you're the one claiming there are 20 + pallets every map, why not go and count them yourself in your next game, there is no where near 20 on any map. some maps do have more than others, but there are some maps with only 6-7 pallets on whole map!

I've been playing DBD for about 5 months now, and in that time every patch they have done has been a killer buff.... I've had to try to learn all these new killer buffs (as a survivor main) and its been hard... for once we get some decent survivor buffs and all killer mains are moaning about it. I know killers want that easy 4k, but its getting ridiculous... Learn to enjoy a challenge, and outsmart your opponents. for every survivor buff they introduce they have given a perk for killer to counter it... Iron maiden, counters the locker hiding buff.

I see what you are trying to get at, and I agree with your general idea. However, I do believe this is a little overpowered. Imagine this: You have finally finished opening the exit gate, when one of your teammates have been downed. You immediately know that by the time they are placed onto the hook, the killer leaves the hook (Let's say it's Trapper placing traps, or the Hag) and they are then unhooked, the door will be closed. So at this point in the match you're thinking "Okay, I'll just open the other gate." Two things could happen here: either the other exit gate had opened the moment you opened yours, or that scenario would play out again. This would basically punish good survivors for being team players and rescuing their teammate, or even give bad killers easy kills when we would prefer them to get better at the game. As for the hatch, there are achievements you can get for having every survivor escape through it at once. I believe the hatch should stay the same, but perhaps try to discourage hatch stand offs (Since they're in the survivors favour) by having the survivors survival points slowly decrease the longer they are standing around an open hatch.well, i have writte na comment above further explaining some features, like the hatch, so i'd recommend you to read that too. besides that, i wanted to achieve exactly that feeling: i opened the door, the timer started. someone goes down on the other side of the map, will i save that guy and risk my own life or am i gonna leave, save myself and abandom him? that s a question survivors never really ask themselves with powered gates, as they know they are perfectly save, as the bodyblock + exhaustion perk combo will carry them to the next door and they will escape, but i want ppl to be afraid of going back, as it could very well lead to their death too. besides that, at this stage of the game, it is rare enough that a player is still alive on the hook (or at least it should be), so this question shouldnt come up too many times... the hatch achievement would also still be available, as the hatch would still spawn, but not open anymore when all 5 gens got repaired, so you could still escape with the key and get that achievement.
and i said this before in different discussions and i will say it again: this is not a teamwork game, this is a survival game. it is not about your teams survival, it is all about your own survival (really. read the description of the game if you dont believe me), so you might just want to leave when someone gets caught once you have the opportunity to.I main survivor, and I ask myself this every time gates are powered but someone goes down, especially if its a one hit killer, or they have NOED and I cant find the totem in time, or they are fairly close to the exit, meaning killer has a chance to down me too if I stick around... I always ask this, and often sacrifice myself to save the hooked survivor, knowing that the killer will down me and just hope the other survives. I think the exit gates should stay the same... but something needs to be done about the hatch standoff, If I am last survivor, and killer finds hatch first, I can creep up to it and hope they dont see me til im right near it. meaning, if they try to hit me, i can escape, BUT killers obviously know this, so wont hit... and I have to either give up and let them have the 4k, just because i dont want to wait for ages, or i have to wait for 30+ minutes or longer, however long for the killer to give up... something needs to be done with that... no idea what, but it needs to be balance, not survivor sided, and not killer sided... get so fed up killers thinking they deserve the 4k even if that last survivor has evaded them the whole game. perhaps a timer, perhaps point penalties, something needs doing. to make it fair and fast...
