I agree don't nerf them. Just remove them altogether.
-
If they ever fix Ghostface's reveal mechanic, you'll soon be struggling to get those 4k's.

Tunneling someone is the best way to get a person out the game. Explain why this is bad
You think focusing on one survivor, especially when DS is meta, is the best way to win. Ok. Good luck with that.

When survivors gen rush they they split up and stick on gens no matter what. Some going as far as to let their teammates die to do it
Splitting up to do gens is the most effective way to get gens done. Explain why that is bad.
Leaving team mates to die on hook is just bad team playing. And its one less survivor for the killer to worry about. So I don't understand your point here.

There’s no such thing as tunneling that’s just killers doing their objective
Of course there is such a thing as tunneling. That's one of several ways killers can do their objective. They can camp, they can tunnel, they can mori, and they can three hook everyone separately rather than focusing on one survivor via camp/tunnel.
Whereas survivors have only one way to do gens and that is to actually repair them. You think you're being a smart aleck comparing tunneling to doing gens but its not the same thing. Can you think of an alternative method to do gens other than actually doing them? Its why the gen rush label is nonsense.

You think ruin undying is bad do you?
Try finding the time to look and take out totems when you’ve got a killer who’s getting a hook every minute.
A hook every minute eh. What killer is this? Stridor Spirit? Forever Freddy?
Its why Noed is not really an issue. Its not hard to take out five totems between four people.
-
@Zaytex said:
It's a good perk, but for generator regression, ruin + undying are just better.
I disagree. Most games ruin and undying are gone within 5 minutes. Until they come up with better totem spawns, that combo will never be good.

Your tier list is horrendous.

They should have waited to do both at the same time.
Ideal situation that would have been but I'll take either one. Any progress is better than none. Its one less unhealthy element removed from the game.
-
Its a much needed and welcome change. I'm not saying that with any bias because I will be popping champagne bottles when they nerf keys into the ground, too.

Never gone against a good team as Myers? They don't stealth, they just use LoS blockers to lock you in tier 1 for ever, then tier 2, then in tier 3 (if you even bother getting there) you're just a very slightly better m1 killer than can easily be played safely against to negate your entire ppower and any snowball potential because m1 killers aren't very scary for a very good reason.
And before someone tries to tell me that these teams are rare, no they aren't. This is my average Myers trial as both survivor and killer.
Yes I face good teams all the time. There is Myers players all over Youtube in red ranks who face strong teams regularly. There's a couple I can recommend because they have a ton of content if you like. No offense meant to you but no amount of running behind walls, rocks, trees etc is a hindrance to getting stalk off.
The only times I can think of where I was having trouble getting to tier 2 was with a bunch of urban evading Blendettes. But that was ok because they were creeping around not touching gens. No pressure on me.
Unless you're Nurse or Freddy, any killer can be looped into oblivion. This is a weakness for all other killers not just M1 killers. Safe loops and god loops can hurt them all. Its all about timing knowing when to pop tier 3.

I hope he gets more than an add-on pass. Still a contender for weakest killer in the game thanks to T1 alone.
In other words, let's just scrap T1 and make it exclusive to Scratched Mirror! Also, let's make Scratched Mirror a brown add-on!
I will never agree with this mentality. I don't know what kind of super immersed teams the people who think T1 makes Mikey so weak do face, but I never have trouble finding survivors and getting to tier 2 quickly. I don't think I have ever watched a stream or Youtube video where the player has had trouble with it either. I'm talking strictly red ranks. Then Mikey is on a roll with massive snowball potential.
To the original post of this thread they said on the previous Q&A stream that they may give him an add on pass in the future. But right now they are happy where he is because he is in the top half of performing killers in terms of kill rates, and they said they constantly get positive feedback about him as being a fun killer to play as and against.

Congrats and welcome to the club. It took me five attempts to get it. They kept kicking my poor Victor!!!!!

Toxicity can come from Sabotaging the killers gameplay for a laugh.
Teabagging and all that other stuff is people being cocky or idiotic.
Give me an example of what you consider sabotaging a killer's gameplay for a laugh please.

As I said....those "Purposely" so it should be a indication of me pointing out the toxicity side of survivor mainers.
As I said I have no problems with survivors doing their Objectives but to ruin the gameplay for the killer is the problem lol I keep repeating this. (I use Thantophobia to slow their progression but the perk needs to be buff to be really pressuring against such things.)
Toxicity implies a different argument altogether. Doing gens is not toxic. Teabagging, clicky clicking, noise spamming by vaulting or jumping in lockers etc. Basically anything that is aimed at annoying the killer rather than simply doing your objective is what I would consider toxic.

Yes I know but having specific "builds" and "Groups" is what I am talking about.
That's why I am using the terms Sabotage because it's stealing the W or adventure for killers I hate waiting 10 mins in a lobby for a ranking match just to get Omega Toxic Tryhards purposely going as groups or groups of two to go around do as many gens and when it's time they pop them off nearly instantly.
It's not fun and I can experience for both sides to see a Killer DC because 3 gens were done in less than 3 seconds and then they have to worry about them just popping two more.
There are builds killers can do that make killing survivors quickly, too. I'm not sure what you mean by groups unless you mean swf. But unless its a toxic swf who are intentionally trying to annoy the killer, then there is nothing wrong with playing with your friends.
Again I understand the frustration of fast popping gens. I play killer, too. In fact I main you, Mikey. I run perks that help slow down the gens popping too quickly like corrupt and pop. I also try to apply as much pressure as I can like when I pop a tier 3 I'll try and get at least two people down with it if possible. Then that's at least two people not doing gens, and possibly a third coming to get the slug off the floor.
My point is I don't get annoyed at survivors if they come in with Prove Thyself, or tool boxes etc. I don't consider these things broken or unfair like keys and mori's. I certainly do not blame survivors for getting gens done because that is their purpose in order to escape. Its why I never subscribed to the whole "gen rush" label.

It's the same concept why on why Survivors Criticize the concept of "Face Camping" or "Slugging" if it's part of their "Gameplay" and Objective to get Sacrifices? You see where I'm getting at here?
If Gen Rushing (aka the Sabotaging of the Killers Gameplay) isn't seen as real then neither is the terms Slugging or Face Camping because it's part of the killers own "Sacrifice" methods.
That's criticizing how a killer does their objective. Whereas there is only one way to do gens and that is to do them.
I understand the frustration of gens popping fast, believe me I do. But I don't blame survivors as being gen rushers. They're just doing what they are supposed to do the only way you can do it. You get on a gen and you repair it.

It's as real as "OP Killers" and as I said in my post it's doing their "Objective" in a way that sabotages the killers gameplay sufficiently.
Its not as real as OP killers. You can make an argument for some killers being overly oppressive, like Freddy, based on all they can do in their base kit with no perks or add ons. Whereas with the whole idea of "gen rushing" its criticizing survivors for doing the one thing they are supposed to do in order to escape.
-
There is no such thing as "gen rushing". That's simply survivors doing their objective.
-
All the time. He is so broken in this regard and gets so many free downs because of it. Its why he is one of my least favorite killers to face.
-
Camping and slugging is their biggest strength. Neither are particularly fun for either side. I find camping and slugging extremely boring as killer, and just frustrating and boring as survivor.
-
Myers. Often I see people rate him low just because he starts in tier 1. I don't know what kind of super immersed teams these people do face but I never have trouble finding survivors and getting to tier 2 quickly.
Once Mikey gets going he has massive snowball potential. I consistently do well with him at red ranks. He is very versatile with builds, too.
-
If there is a toxic one who is blatantly trying to get your attention then ignore them. This is the distraction who tries to run you around and waste your time while the rest knock out gens.

I missed it - what's the update?
To give you some perspective, someone asked are they going to nerf/change Freddy. They said that they know Freddy's kill rate is much higher than the other killers and has steadily remained so for a year. It caught their attention. So they are going to re-balance him soon.

The loud whispering is distracting as well, especially when sound is very important as killer.

Demo for brawn, pig for brains. Amanda Young is also pretty loyal in her own f'ed up way. Leatherface too but a chainsaw isn't really a good weapon irl and would be hard to communicate with. Freddy, Myers and GF are just psychopathic, can't be trusted. PH is like a specific manifestation of guilt personal to one wife-smothering weirdo, I dunno how useful that is in practice.
I don't think Mikey is psychopathic, and the movies never hint he is psychotic. They always send the message through the Dr. Loomis character (Mikey's psychiatrist) that he's simply pure evil.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Blq11wjG30 -
When they said they are planning to re-balance Freddy because his kill rate has been far above other killers consistently for a year, that made me happy.
But this question was the most important one they addressed;
-
Mikey and Pyramid Head for protection. They are extremely hard to kill to the point that killing them is almost impossible.
-
Merry Christmas, Mikey. I hope you get a dead Laurie in your stocking this year.

Its definitely survivors chase music, dont know this play when you Michael
Well as you can see in the video its like that from Mikey's perspective. It was when I played Mikey, too.
-
I've played against about five. Two of them were either really good, or my team mates were potatoes. The latter being a strong possibility because I was in solo queue.
-
1. Stalk
2. Tier 3 lunge
3. Tier 3 vault speed
-
I'll be getting Dweet's but the Dwelf is still a superior Christmas cosmetic to all of them.

I recently started running a mainly-stealth build on Myers to promote stealthy stalking as well as a terrifying Tier 3 due to the massive TR being suppressed very often. The build obliterates.
Oh yeah. If you have infectious fright on, you can probably end a match in 5 minutes if the survivors are bunched together.
-
Music to my ears.

It took a few minutes to come through on PS4 too. But they eventually showed up.

...You wouldn't mind giving me a stereotype, would you? I never see Myers players.
Sure. You have the ones who will go for a snowball with tier 3 and down multiple survivors. These are usually the best Myers players who capitalize on a tier 3 to create pressure. Then you have the spooky scratched mirror Mikeys. These are always super fun. Then you'll get the infinite tier 3 and tombstone piece Mikeys. These guys usually mean business and are ruthless.
-
I see Myers all the time. He is easy to stereotype.
-
Kate is in the who the hell plays her category? I see Kates all the time. They are usually decent players.
-
Stay and protect one side of the map. Its easy as pie to get a three gen situation on there. Its why I hate that map as survivor. Often my team mates will allow the killer to do that without making any effort to do a gen on the other side of the map.
-
I'll buy them with shards and give them a try. I never got to play them on PTB as I am a humble console player.
-
The answer to both is Daddy Myers.

Just embrace the Dwelf 😍

Haddonfield and Coldwind.
-
Ghostface. His broken reveal mechanic gives him free downs all the time.
Legion. Mending over and over is just so tedious.
Freddy. For obvious reasons.
Stridor Spirit. Literally no escaping this.
-
Oh man, I just want to give everyone in here a big hug right now 😥
-
Its ridiculous. I can tell you this I won't be trying to get them back on PS5. I have every one on PS4. Three years worth of effort. I won't be doing it again.
-
As killer its the corn maps and Ormond.
As survivor its Hawkins and Shelter Woods.
