At max 10 minutes during the day as Killer. This did not change with SBMM. Evenings are usually instant.
Survivor is instant during the day and will be around 1-2 minutes currently in the evening.
-
I mean, they decide to run good Perks while you decide to run no Perks. You are free to do decide your build, so are they.

I always hate it when I hear "I do it because it looks better".
Tru3 put a video on youtube about it last week showing how you can do this to Ghpstface. Same as you I never actually thought about Ghostface till I saw this.
With stretch res he also points out that during your blink fatigue with Nurse you can actually see the survivor quite well which is a massive advantage for Nurse's.
What do you mean? DBD never looked better.
(Screenshot from a Stream)
@Topic:
I dont really think they can do anything against it. After all, even DBD provides an option to make the game easier for you by setting it to low Graphics - and the game suddenly becomes brighter. This should also not be possible that players who dont need Low Graphics can use this option to gain an advantage.
And when it comes to Stretched Resolution or Nvidia-Filters, I dont think the Devs can do something against it.

The rbt used to explode in the gate if it was active or not but they removed it bc reasons I guess. I just want that feature back bc endgame pig used to be so much fun and so reliable but not op.
Because Traps are meant to be used during the game for Slowdown and not during the Endgame to get Kills with EGC.

They didn't. I tried it out yesterday. U can't run away with trap, it kills u once u enter gate room.
An active Trap will kill you all the time. What they changed was that an inactive Trap will not kill you anymore when leaving with it.
@Topic:
She does not need much. Most of it is just an Add On-Overhaul, removing Stuff like Tampered Timer and Add-Ons which dont really work anymore (like increasing Skill Check Odds, they removed the combo with Lullaby already years ago, even before they made it only affect Healing and Repair). But some Add-Ons which improve her Crouch and Dash would be very nice.
If they want to do something about the RNG, Otz had an idea long ago - each Trap has a fixed value of searches, 1, 2, 3 or 4 and one each. So one Trap will need 1 search only, another will need 4 searches guaranteed. And this would be random, so a Pig who used 4 Traps will have a guaranteed Slowdown of 10 Box-Searches, the RNG would just be for the Survivor, which Trap they got.

Sorry, Rey - it's clear there is no investigation occuring at this point. Nobody is working on a Sunday.
They are leaving us to the scheduled patch on tuesday but won't say it. I cant get in a match myself after waiting 30min as a survivor.
I mean, yeah, this is what will happen. It is not BHVRs fault that Microsoft screwed that one up. The Patch is scheduled for another date and it will probably not even be possible to bring it earlier (at least not on Playstation).

I swear to this day that they nerfed Billy's base turning when they changed him. He just doesn't feel right anymore. Maybe it's the animations.
Anyway, without engravings he's pretty much backrev simulator on a lot of maps. And if you want to backrev just play Bubba.
Most likely his animations. I run Shadowborn on him, it is a bit better with Shadowborn.
Also, his Hitbox is super-huge, this makes it pretty easy to hit Survivors, but also to hit all the ######### which is scattered around the Map.
IMO the only change should be that Engravings increase the Overheat Limit to compensate for the Charge Time. Other than that, Billy is still a solid Killer.
-
You are tunneling pretty hard if you do go for the healthy unhooked guy, the excuse that they might be the easier target because they were injured does not even work here.
It is fine, the main thing is that the Survivor did not progress the game. Even if you get hit by DS after they were fully healed, they did not spend a second on a Gen after the Unhook.

Idk, there have been some meta perks that were added, that simply arent used because either the killer meta changed a bit, or because people are too used to the old meta perks.
Counterforce is one of the best perks to get rid of ruin undying(and even noed), its just unused.
Soul Guard is one of the best perks to prevent slugging, it's just unused(it's objectively better than Unbreakable with the killer meta being mainly around Ruin)
Resurgence is one of the best anti tunnel perks if you heal under the hook. BT is only outshining it if you get camped and tunneled, but DS is a better anti-tunnel perk.
Built to Last, THE best perk to run if you have an item. Fully counters Franklins Demise, gives you the ability to fully use up a key and still open a hatch, makes strong items even stronger. Better than Adrenaline at any time of the day.
There are enough new meta perks that can be run, its just that most people have access to old meta perks, dont want to waste BP unlocking the newer perks and dont want to spend time learning how to use the new perks. Why learn how to use 4 new meta perks if there are 7 meta perks you know how to run comfortably? Desperate Measures is overall better than Botany Knowledge unless you're using a medkit(2 stacks are enough that unhooking and healing is faster than unhooking and healing with BK), yet people still use Botany Knowledge because they think it's better, yet you cannot unhook a survivor in the face of a killer and dead hard away with the unhooked survivor tanking the hit with BT unless you run Desperate Measures.
It's why you see veteran survivors run newer perks more than casual survivors. Veteran survivors tend to see the value in newer perks, where casual survivors think the meta perks are the best because everyone runs it.
I mean, you stretch the term "Meta" a lot. Meta-Perks are those Perks which are run often.
If I look at your list, those Perks were all called good or OP when they came out, but nobody used them a week after the Chapter was released.
Like, Counterforce is nice with the Speed, but unless you run Inner Strength, Dull Totems are not really useful to do (yeah, yeah, NOED; but whatever). And Small Game is better IMO to track Totems, you cannot cleanse Totems if you cannot find them in the first place. When I did my Adept Jill, I had problems to find the initial Totem, lol.
Soul Guard is the best Perk out of those you mentioned, however, it needs the Killer to slug AND a Hex to be active. And it is always better to cleanse Hex-Perks, unless the Killer is running Third Seal against a 4 man SWF. But other than that, always better to cleanse Hex-Perks, especially the most used one, Ruin. It is only really useful in combination with another Perk, Unbreakable, and this is also seen way less often than other Meta-Perks, simply because the slugging-part still needs to be fulfilled.
Resurgence... We Will Make It is better, it does the same, cuts healing time in half, but does this for potentially multiple Heals. And even this is a Perk you almost never see.
Built to last... Again, really specific scenario you are describing. Unless you Dedicate a Build to it, not worth running, but then you are already off-meta.
The last Meta-Perk which got released was MoM and this was OP and a Cashgrab. Other than that, nothing for years.
So I dont think that Boon-Totems will be good. Let alone, we dont know anything yet, except that Survivors have to bless a Totem and Killers can snuff it out. It starts with Blessing already - there is a huge difference between a 5 second animation to bless and a 30 second animation to bless. Also, the Devs will most likely keep in mind that 4 people can run Boon-Totems, so they will not be too strong. If I had to guess, I would say they will be Totems which remove Killer-Debuffs... Like, as long as your Boon-Totem is lit up you dont become Mangled. As an example.
So, yeah, there is currently no indication that they will be good Perks. And given the last Meta-Perk was years ago, I doubt it. (And this does not have anything to do with people not having Perks or not learning to use them... Many players will have all Perks unlocked and you dont really need to learn anything when it comes to Perks, it is not like DBD is a complicated game)

This is a known Bug. But I like it, finally everyone looks good in the Lobby.

"1 several resent chapters released sub par killers in the twins the trickster and sadly pinhead is even is poor with out his add ons"
If we just look at the last 4 Chapters:
Pinhead, Nemesis, Trickster, Twins are all not weak. You may argue with Trickster, but Pinhead and Nemesis are solid and Twins are actually pretty strong. If we go for the last 8 Chapters (aka 2 years), we have Blight, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger and Oni, all of them being very good.
"3 the killer perks and add ons keep getting nerfed some times when they don't need it when a lot of survivor perks that do need it get left"
I cannot really remember any Killer Perk which got nerfed aside from Undying, but come on... Add Ons also only Exhaustion Add Ons (which do not have any reason to exist anymore, they were heavily outadted) and Iri Heads... And again - come on. Meanwhile, Survivors got DS nerfed, which was asked a lot by Killers.
"4 gen rushing is still a major thing i just played a myers game and 3 of the gens were done in about 1 minute 30 seconds making it impossible to react"
You can lose 3 Gens early and still win the game. The first Gens are the easiest for Survivors.
"5 killers get punished for camping and tunneling when its most of the time the only way for us too get kills"
You dont need to camp or tunnel to get Kills. Also, you dont really get punished for it, especially not for tunneling.
"6 twins still need a buff but are left too rot"
I wish they would be "left too rot"...
-
Looks like you are on a version which is not released yet, current Live Build is 5.2.1, 5.2.2 is the second Bugfix-Patch, which will probably be released soon.
Dont know how to fix it tho, I dont even understand how you managed to get on this version in the first place. Maybe reinstall completely? No guarantee that this will be a fix.
-
My idea:
You gain the Aura Read like currently, no changes for this part. When you get hooked, you lose the Aura Read to the Survivor(s) who are furthest away from yourself.
Tier 1-->Losing Aura Read to every Survivor
Tier 2-->Losing Aura Read to the two Survivors furthest away
Tier 3-->Losing Aura Read to the Survivor furthest away.
This would result in not losing everything once you get hooked. And because you lose the Aura Read to the furthest Survivor, you will need to do something to get it back, it is not like you lose it to the guy who will unhook you, giving it back right away.
-
Yeah. I am usually on Comms with a friend of mine in a 2 man SWF, but sometimes he invites another person, and this player is not on Comms. It is alright, this guy is still way better than a random teammate and neither he nor my friend and I need Comms to know what to do ingame.

My mmr shouldn't be high, especially on this killer as iv hardly played them, it's been over 40mins now and I havent so much of even found a lobby yet.. is there some kind of bug ?
If you did not play a Killer often enough, this Killer will have an average MMR of all your Killers. Like, for me, I dont have super-long queues, around 5 minutes is normal during the day.
There was a Bug which shows that the game was searching for a Lobby, but it did not do anything. This was years ago and it got fixed, so if you are at 40 minutes, maybe cancelling and searching again might work out. Maybe this Bug is still present.
-
You most likely have high MMR. Apparently, a lot of Killers are at high MMR so the Queues for those are long. My Killer Queues are also longer during the day (EU as well), but I dont reach 20 minutes, it is around 5 minutes I guess. And I am very sure that my MMR is not really high.
-
Maybe there will be Changes when the Realm Beyond-Update is applied to Haddonfield. But, should not be guaranteed, since Realm Beyond is for graphical Updates. However, they also balanced Ormond and made it way less survivor-sided, so the chance is there that it will also happen to Haddonfield.
Would have been nice if Shelter Woods would also have gotten a Balance-Treatment, but eh.

Players who play like scumbags decide to play like that. They are not forced to do so.

I honestly just wish they could at least comment saying they were aware and were actively doing something to fix it, this bug has been in the game for as long as I can remember and there has been nothing done to fix it. Like can the people who want Nurse to stay broken at least admit that having a bug ruin matches out of nowhere completely taking away all chance for you to play effectively and enjoy the game shouldn't be the case?
I am very sure they commented on them either in some Livestream or on the Forums.
I think (and this is only an assumption) that her Bugs are related to Dedicated Servers, because her Rework happened at the same time like Dedicated Servers went live. And if it is a Dedicated Servers-issue, you should not expect that it can be fixed anytime soon. Like, Dead Hard is not properly working either, they said that they will rework how the Perk functions to make it work on Dedicated Servers, this was around at the beginning of the year (or end of last year) and nothing so far. So if that taks several months already, you can imagine how much time a complete power will take to rework.
Personally, I dont have many Nurse-Bugs. Sometimes, rarely, I cannot M1 after a Blink, but this is the only thing and it is rare for me.

I dont really hate Ruin Undying. Yeah it's kinda boring but I can also counter it in solo play and it doesn't feel overbearing unless it's on a Spirit or something, but then that's a Spirit issue.
However, the moment Tinkerer is used in combination is when it goes from "this is fine" to "bhvr what the #########" because Tinkerer is easily one of the worst designed perks in the game and stamps all over solos whenever while having a lot less effect vs coordinated SWFs. That's the truly problematic perk of the combo, and it's not like it's any better when combined with PGTW either.
100% agree.
When Undying dropped, I also said that they should nerf Tinkerer because this is the problematic Perk of the Combo. But I knew that they would nerf Undying, because they recently buffed Tinkerer and wont nerf it again and Ruin was reworked, so also no high possibility for a Nerf.
Like, just Ruin and old Undying meant to cleanse up to 5 Totems in a Trial to get rid of Ruin, however, you at least had the choice to ignore Ruin and just do Gens with the risk that the Killer might find you at a Gen and your Progress is gone. But with Tinkerer, this was not a Risk, it was guaranteed that you will be forced off the Gen, unless you play against a Killer with low Mobility on Red Forest and get lucky with the distance.

It just shows how bad 90% of the perks in the game are.
People complain about ds, dh, bt and ub ( for a good reason ), but there are like 9 usuable perks to begin with.
What? Power Struggle is bad? I thought it is one of the most OP Perks in the game. When it came out, Killers said they will not be able to pick up Survivors anymore and Bleeding out is the new Meta. Did they overreact? Impossible!
Jokes aside.
Yes, there are only a handful of good Perks for Survivor. For Killer it is a little bit better, but only because Killers play differently and you have more variety when looking over the complete Killer roster.
@Topic:
Apparently you get the Challenge when you stun the Killer with DS while using Power Struggle. Other than that, IMO Power Struggle should be reworked to just having to press a Button, but needing to charge it like MoM. Like 3 Pallet Stuns and you have it active, if the Killer goes under a Pallet while carrying you, press a button and stun them.
This would still not make the Perk really strong, but it would change it to a Perk which does not need an entire build to work.

Both should have never been nerfed. It doesn’t matter how strong Hex totems are- the casuals in our community are too damn stubborn to look for totems.
I think the Casuals are those who want to get free Slowdown without any effort - aka old Ruin.
Just using your words, in fact, 99,99% of the community are casuals, because it is a casual game.
-
This is not really the Challenge causing toxicity. Or Flashlights causing toxicity. This is the player being sensitive over an Item which is in the game (and can and should be used).

I didn't sweat in my previous matches at all.. At times all i did was wanting to get clips with huntress with a all seeing build,
Or flicks with blights, Hell. even M2illy on curves, and it still for whatever reason put me at high mmr...
That and being a Variety killer now sucks.. which i don't dare play any other killer other than the high tier killers,
Because you faced Potatoes before. This is why you were able to do stuff like that, you are not at that Level, but you got boosted because you played against Potato Survivors. Apparently many Killers have high MMR and only a few Survivors (which also explains the long queue times).
If you keep playing, you should end up at a chill level at some point.

You decide if you want to sweat or not. It is not like anyone is forcing you to do so. You wont get anything for having high MMR anyway, so no reason to sweat.
And from my experience, those who currently complain about needing to sweat were already sweating before. Like, always strong Add-Ons, always Meta-Perks, mostly strong Killers.

I will also point out no one is forcing YOU to kick gens if such a change were to occur.
Those of us who would like to not be forced to use perks for gen regression will be fine. As well as you being fine since you're such a good killer that you don't need to run those perks.
It's a win/win
You are not forced to run them. It is entirely possible to play Killer without Slowdowns - but then you have to get pressure with faster chases. But it is not like someone tells you that you HAVE to run those Perks.
@Bluebird said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2497227#Comment_2497227
Honestly, all they need to do is one kick removes 5% progress, and it regresses it at half a charge a second (160 seconds to fully regress instead of the current 320) and I'd be perfectly happy.
I dont know about the Regression to be honest. But might be fine. And yes, Kicks should remove some more Gen Progress, 5% sounds alright. Currently, kicking Generators is a big waste of time. And STILL Killers do that - first thing they do when they approach a Gen with Survivors on it: They kick it. Without PGTW or anything.
And this is what worries me, those are the people who are never satisfied. They want more all the time, so even if the Devs change something, they will ask for more. And I have seen questionable things here on this Forum already, from Ruin Basekit (both old and new Ruin) to normal Kicks removing 20% of the Progress and PGTW removing all of it.
-
This is in the game for yeras, the Devs ignored every Bug Report about it. Should tell you how likely it is that this will get fixed.

Base regression sucks right now, I agree it shouldn't be ruin levels of regression. But it shouldn't be anything to scoff at either.
Plus if they do buff kicking a gen in some way, they'll be able to safely nerf the gen regression perks.
@Sweet_Tour said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2497227#Comment_2497227
You know you could just make them base and then nerf the perks right? Not everything is as cut and dry but this is. I don't like Gen regression but if they don't do something Low tier killers are gonna stop being used in favor of map mobile killers who RUN TINKERER EVERY GAME.
IMO it is fine that Killers can use Perks for it. It is not like anyone is forcing them, they decide on their own to run those Perks. And they are strong Perks, so totally worth a Perk Slot.
And as I said, it would make Killer-gameplay more boring if there would be base Regression or base Slowdown in the game. At least for me, I avoid stuff like that a Killer and I guess I would become bored pretty easily if I get so much hand-holding.
-
I really hope something like base Regression or base PGTW will never exist. Stacking Slowdown-Perks is the easiest und most boring way to play Killer, this should not become Basekit.
They might want to look at something that tapping is not possible anymore or that the initial Kick takes a little bit of progress immediatly instead of just starting to regress a Gen. But not more IMO.
-
This will take some time. Probably either the next Chapter or the Midchapter after that. So it will take a few months.
There is also not really a point in changing anything, people are playing Pinhead for a few days only and just get the hang of it to play him/play against him.
-
How many Threads do you want to open exactly? Like, we got that you dont like SBMM, this could have been done in one Thread, not in 10+ Threads.
Let alone that tunneling always was the easiest way to win a game for Killers.
-

I used this Add-On to get my Adept with Pinhead. But other than that, I would not use it. It is such an easy removal of an Health State, it is laughable.
And I dont think he needs it because some people think he is weak. After playing him for some time, he is not weak at all. Not saying he is a very powerful Killer and will be a contestant for the Top 5, but he is decent and fun to play as.
-
I am actually confused. When Crossplay was initially enabled, people said that Console-Survivors will have a harder time now because they cannot use 360s as easily against PC-Killers. Which means it works well against Console-Killers.
So, 360s are not a topic specifially for PC-Survivors, if I understand this correctly.
-
What exactly does the screenshot have to do with the topic? The respective Survivor is not really toxic in the Postgame Chat either, they even apologize for the 4 man escape because they had bad games before. (If anything, Otz is salty)
And I want to bonk that guy who made the donation because their idea is horrible.
@Topic:
Just play like you normally would, eventually, you end up in more casual matches. Personally, I think those people who complain about sweaty matches are sweating themselves, but they relied on getting easy games with Rank-based Matchmaking.
And why do you complain about Meta-Perks? It is not like the game was full of Meme-Perks before, there has always been a Meta and the definition of a Meta is that it is the most commonly run and strong thing. And stacks of Slowdown-Perks or DS/DH/BT/whatever were also a thing before the Rank-based Matchmaking.
But Killers got very easy wins before, because the average Survivor is just not good. Now those people are irritated because they 90% Winrates, which they thought were fine (lol) are not possible anymore.

Cool, bring 4keys, map offering, mist and hatch spawn offering, but killer should see what's coming and be able to prepare. Doing this against newbies is just low and actually starts the circle of trying to be toxic to one another.
They wont face Newie-Killers, unless they are new themselves. Which will most likely not be the case if they quickswitch.

Compared to Survivor, Killers get A LOT more. Like 30%-50% more at base and they have the better BP-Multiplier.

-
Killers already get more than enough BPs.
-
I have not played this combo myself (I am prestiging Pinhead currently and I dont have the Perks), but currently I would not say that it is too strong. The Killer is dedicating half of their Perk Slots for that, there have always been Killers which benefit from certain Perks more than others.
And personally, those are two Perk Slots less used for Slowdown and I am always for Killers using different Perks than Slowdown-Perks.
-
You dont have to tell that you are a Killer Main when you call SWF Cheating.
But no, the Devs confirmed that neither Comms nor SWF are cheating and they even provide the opportunity to play with other people on their Discord.
And SWF is also not a problem, most players playing SWFs are casuals playing with their friends. And if a Killer happens to run into a SWF full of good players, they will most likely lose to those 4 when playing Solo as well.

I really dont count MoM. It was nerfed heavily shortly after release and it was only a Cash-grab, because otherwise there would be no point to buy a Survivor only-Paragraph if you are not a completionist or like the Character/Actor.

It is objectively a buff to survivors, and therefore the game will be "worse" for killer. I mean, as you stated, to what extent? Who knows. You aren't wrong, no point in getting worked up about it.
But it technically de facto makes the game worse for killer.
Only if these Perks are actually worth using. And this depends on the strength of the Perk and the time it needs to bless/snuff out.

The Pinhead update already confirmed Killers can interact with them as it added a tool tip in the Tutorial area about it
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3UWU8YOFKB8R/e-squyfwyaab-iq.jpeg
Just because this got posted - this description is another thing which makes it not really possible to predict the strength of Boon-Perks.
It could entirely be possible that Killers need 16 seconds to snuff out the Boon Totem and Survivors bless it instantly (basically similar to Hexes), or it could take a Survivor 30 seconds to bless the Totem (which is a huge amount of time) for the Killer to snuff it out instantly.
So I cannot really understand how people think that the game will be worse for Killers just because there is a new type of Perk, when we dont know anything about it (except for this description).
