  • Pharmacy is good as it is. It looks lackluster only because Self care exists (another reason to nerf it into the ground as it should have been ages ago).

  • It's the only thing that trash tier scrubstomper is good at. What's wrong with someone making the most out their killer's power?

  • I'm so glad I'm not playing this disaster of a game anymore.

  • Because survivors whined the house down. As they do every time they encounter the slightest resistance in-game.

I think he's fine the way he is. All killers shouldn't be good at all things. He's got strengths and weaknesses. I have my 4K games, and sometimes I don't, but hit 3-4 most of the time with Junior. Ability to knock down multiples with one use.of your power is more than enough.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

  • When you'll face good survivors you'll realize how weak she really is.

  • Her tier is N for Next, please.

  • Leatherface can hit you with his chainsaw attack even if you're inside a locker. Just so you know (and no, according to a dev on the DbD Discord, it's not a bug).

  • 0 - Next chapter, please.

With her power she has range attack that can injure and down multiple survivors though. We weren't very careful and a plague got 3 downs with her corrupted power. At first I thought insta heals were not fair but they might actually be fair in the end.

I say lets wait and get used to her a little bit. She seems to be a snowball killer.

It was your fault. You said it yourself.

  • Sprint burs, Self care, Decisive strike and Adrenaline. Boom. You countered each and every killer in the game (including the Nurse).

  • It's the victory cube all over again.

  • Fun fact: 99.9% of the legacy skins you see in-game are hacked. Only a small number of players obtained them, and pretty much all of those players lost them due to a bug introduced around 1.4.x that caused complete loss of progress.

  • If you, as a survivor, have bonobos as teammates, that unhook you in front of the killer, well, it sucks to be you, but why should I, the killer, be punished for it? Why should I be punished for the survivors' stupid plays? If a survivor gets unhooked and the killer is near the hook for whatever reason, it makes sense for them to go for the injured person. It's not toxic, it's the most efficient way to actually kill someone. If you keep switching targets the whole match, you will get to the point where there's only 1 gen left and all 4 survivors are still alive. If the killer gets punished for doing their job efficiently, then the same should apply to the survivors: if a gen pops within 2 minutes from the start of the game, all the survivors get slowed to 0% movement speed, their auras revealed for 5 minutes and suffer from the exposed status effect, rinse and repeat every time a generator is completed within 4 minutes from the last. What? It doesn't make sense, you say? Well, neither BT, i-frames during the unhook animation and DS do.

  • For the umpteenth time, git gud. You're the problem, not the Hillbilly. Oh, and Leatherface isn't balanced at all. He's terrible. His chainsaw is just a glorified pallet breaker. So I wouldn't use him as a good example of "killer that has a counter".

  • So, basically this new killer will be the Doctor 2.0. Not impressed at all.

  • As I predicted...

  • I can't wait to waste my money/shards on the third 110% m.s. clown in a row with a hindrance useless power tied to a 20 seconds cooldown!

  • The Hillbilly doesn't need to be nerfed. Case closed.

  • Pallet looping is definitely an exploit, as it shares several features with other exploits.

The survivors' collision is smaller than the killers', so survivors can turn around corners faster and make sharper turns. This causes the killers' faster movement speed to become less relevant, and it only gets worse when you take into account that survivors (the most experienced ones at least) literally hug walls and debris in general, and the killer, because of their 1st person POV, can't do the same.

Survivors are not passively just using pallet looping because it is there, they caused it to exist in the first place* and they have not practised any playstyle that doesn't crutch with pallet loops in two years.

*at one point, in the early days of Dead by daylight, survivors started to use pallets to farm and grief the killer rather than escape chases. Killers complained, got told to "just adapt", and we did. We started playing the hokey-cokey at pallets, when survivors were about to drop them. Long story short, the survivor dropped the pallet, missed the stun, and the chase continued. The situation worsened when a bug that caused stuns to award max boldness points was introduced. Some survivors would even disconnect after missing a stun, they were so desperate for the points, lol. Anyway, at that point killers started lunging mid cokey to get hits in and cut the BS short. Survivors went ballistic and drowned the forums in over nine thousand threads about "unfair" hits through pallet drops. So, patch 1.1.1 dropped and brought several buffs to pallets with it, the most noticeable one being the so-called "pallet vacuum". But there were also a set of unlisted changes that included changes to both the range and time-window for a pallet stun, and also a reduction in the survivors' collision box.

  • The Legios has nothing. We already knew that.

  • No, he does not.

    /thread

  • Oh, well, as of now they don't even trigger at the exit gates (I have a screenshot, I'll post it later when I get home). Just so you know.

  • Oh, cool! Another 110% m.s. clown with a useless power tied to a 20 seconds cooldown! Yaaay! Can't wait to waste my money on it!

  • "Fookin' Dead 'Ard!"

  • It will be the third killer in a row with 110% or lower movement speed and a hindrance useless power tied to a 20 seconds cooldown.

  • Ruin is trash anyway, so...

  • Fun fact: it will be the third killer in a row with 110% m.s. and a hindrance useless power tied to a 20 seconds cooldown and a double stun.

This rework was supposed to be a "nerf" to DS, right?
Because DS was full meta for … ever?
And is terribly broken OP and frustrating for killer to play against.
So... why does the rework include so many BUFFS ?
Beside the reduced stuntime, which is "under review", so I doubt it ever to go live, I can't see any real "nerfs" to DS.
It was a one-time-out-of-jail-card before and basically it still is.
More so, because it now encourages unsafe unhooks and covers up bad ,borderline toxic, survivor gameplay.
And the existence of the perk alone and the chance that it might be active will basically FORCE all killer to give free unhooks and play stupid by chasing the unhooker instead of the unhooked.
And as a simple sideeffect a lot of killer perks get totally trashed, like Dying Light, Remember Me and partial STBFL, because all tactical gameplay around the obsession be gone.

The combatterm "tunneling" is only used to shame killer for playing efficient.
The game is way to face paced now as "just chase a next fresh target" to be a good option.
Killer NEED to remove survivor from the game fast to stand a chance and chasing those injured players is key to that.
How will the killer get compensated for this change?

This change won't "change up the meta", because survivor will now pick DS more often.
Before it came down to like 2xDS per match, because a lot of people feared to be not the obsession and did not want the 35% wiggling, but with this changes this would be gone and everybody can pick his personal version of Borrowed Time.

Overall this "rework" seems to be a global survivor buff.

    Preach, bro.

    • The new map will be a clusterfuck of super safe jungle gyms and palletloops, not to mention some RNG dependant infinites, full of debris that will make the map impossible to traverse with the Hillbilly's chainsaw and full of deadzones where the Nurse won't be able to blink, and a building that will contain even more infinites and deadzones for the Nurse.
    • The new survivor will bring at least 2 gamebreaking perks that the majority of the survivor playerbase still won't use and will rather stick to the unholy two-years-old-and-yet-unchanged Sprint burst + Self care + Decisive strike + Adrenaline meta, and maybe a trollish perk that some SWF will exploit to hell and back.
    • The new killer will be the third in a row with 110% m.s. and a hindrance useless power on a 20 seconds cooldown.
  • I don't even remember.

People think if they create this "buzz" about it...and this "trendy" push to get it changed... that it will get done.

Why wouldn't they? After all, the devs caved in so many times to their requests (see Nurse, Myers and Freddy gutted just weeks after being released).

  • Red bulb purple flEshlight P3 Kekdettes always burn offerings to go there.

  • It should be a normal perk.

No I play killer more than survivor and I still say no. Why do you think they turned noed into a hex?

Because survivors did their usual thing: they refused to adapt and cried for nerfs. That's why.
  • Don't bring DS and you (probably) won't get Rancored. Ez pz.

  • Good thing I have Deerstalker, Nurse's and Sloppy butcher on every killer.
  • "Killer-main here. How do you do fellow killers, lovely weather what? What you doing? Some killing? Me too. Must be going, things to do, like killing. I'm a killer-main."
  • I'm sick and tired of seeing people say it but never say why. The perk has ALREADY gone through SEVERAL nerfs and nerfing anymore will break it to the point where it's completely useless OR it needs a whole new effect like Tinkerer got. So please, someone tell me why you feel it needs to be nerfed, as of right now I think those people are complete noobs and stupid but if you have a valid reason please tell me because I don't like judging people.

Also why not offer your rework?

Because the only role that hot nerfed in this game is the survivor one. I've never seen any nerf for killers
    Here. https://steamcommunity.com/app/381210/discussions/0/1621724915795099897/
It's not up to date, but whatever.

The fact that most people don't seem to understand that they are buffing it and pretending to nerf it is honestly flabbergasting. I hope this change doesn't go through.

How is it a buff? No salt, legit curious.

It's quite simple, if you think about it.

Let's take DS as is now. The Obsession gets his ass graced instantly, the other 3 survivors, assuming they're running DS as well, have to wiggle to 35% before they can "lulz, think again" the killer. What this means is that while the Obsession DS has no counter, you may be able to avoid non-Obs. DS by downing the survivor(s) near a hook (you have 5 seconds to pick them up and actually hook them before they can run to their favorite infinite again and stall you for the remaining 1 and a half generators).

Now let's take DS as it's going to be with the next patch. There is NO OBSESSION AT ALL, meaning the killer doesn't even know that someone is running it. If the survivors do a stupid unhook in front of the killer, they get rewarded for it. Everybody gets it INSTANTLY, provided that they've been hooked at least once (and, once again, the perks rewards survivors for failing). As if i-frames and borrowed crutch weren't enough of a problem. It's even more rewarding of the survivors' stupidity than before. Now hookrushing at the end game (and in general) becomes completely impossible to stop, even as pre-shadownerf Leatherface.

This is not a nerf. It's _a buff disguised as _a nerf. And, as I said, it baffles me that the majority of the users posting in this thread don't seem to understand how poorly designed this new version of the perk is.

Pretty gud job so far, BHVR. You've proven once again that you don't have the faintest clue about what happens in your own game.

  • The fact that most people don't seem to understand that they are buffing it and pretending to nerf it is honestly flabbergasting. I hope this change doesn't go through.

  • Why do survivors always do generators?
