Spoiler alert: they have no counter.

Neither the Nurse nor the Legion take away any game mechanic from survivors, they just require them to adapt and change their playstyle accordingly, which is a thing that survivors always hated and resisted with their all since day one of this game.

That's the main issue with this Game, There's such huge gaps in how people play and SWF can just completely throw any form of balance out the window.
I Think Mclean said on stream that Hillbilly's faster charge add ons are going to be getting looked at as well as legion and nurse so I'm pretty sure a nerf is coming at least to his Add ons.
This proves once again how oblivious they are.

Of course. Can't wait to trololololulz think again the killer with MoM+DH+DS+ADR.

>Freddy's one positive benefit to his active ability is the delay: gen progress is slowed unless the survivor gets rid of it. How much marginal utility does it grant though for a very good player?
>Freddy's power largely just makes up for skills that weaker players lack; not being good at tracking and maintain a chase, so it enables them to find the survivor again after losing them. A good player can of course choose to cast Dream Demon on someone but then deliberately not chase them (and without being injured they can't Self-Care their way out of it). It makes sense if you have survivors together.
>But how much use is it if the killer knows what they're doing and the survivors know what they're doing? As a survivor I would know to stay away from the other survivors; if they're running and are asleep, good idea to assume Freddy is chasing them. I'd know to wake up anyone who goes for a gen and if I am being chased, to keep avoiding others so Freddy can't sleep them too. Apart from that, it's the usual survivor-meta of stall the killer until the gens are done. As a Freddy, once it's clear the survivors are competent then I can't depend on the stall because Freddy has no in-chase utility. Many killers that the kind of Freddy-main that believes he's strong usually list as inferior to him (Leatherface, Trapper) do.
>Freddy is one of the killers where giving up on a stubborn chase is something you're more likely to have to do in order to be doing the stalling rather than getting stalled.
-
Survivors DC against Legion for the same reason they did against release Nurse and Freddy: they can't be bothered to adapt to new game mechanics.

Yes they are exploiting the different hitboxes of survivor and killers. Looping was an unintended side effect of that change which is nowadays called a feature
...because this
is what BHVR chose to cater to.

Despite what survivor mains say, killer takes much more skill to play efficiently than survivor does. Not to say being good at survivor doesn't take skill, don't take that the wrong way. I've had plenty of trials as survivor where I didn't even see the killer the entire trial and escaped easily. You can be an extremely skilled/optimal looper and loop the killer without even getting downed. But you can also be a mediocre survivor and loop the killer for a super long time just by going pallet to pallet.
As a good killer, you're essentially a quarterback. You're calling the plays, overseeing the game, keeping track of generator progress, mind-gaming survivors for quick downs. Not only that, you have to have to understand how your killer's powers work and also know what the survivors' perks are. It's takes a lot of work and frustration to become a good killer.
Abusing exploits doesn't make you a good player, but rather a cheater.

Because the emblem system is well thought-out. /s
-
He's the third worst killer in the game. Git gud.
-
Yeah, now he's so bugged that he's basically unplayable. Bottles randomly exploding in his hand, survivors not getting slowed and not being prevented from fast vaulting when affected by the gas, the Clown himself getting slowed when he throws a bottle, and I'm pretty sure I missed at least other 3-4 bugs that completely screw him over.
-
It's actually the other way around. Noed requires survivors to fail in order to work at all.
-
Rumored nerf?😕
-
Mine is due in part to him
and in part to the fact that back in my years at the Art Institute of Urbino I would never color my drawings/doodles/cartoons (in italian, "Acromio" sounds like "acromatico", which means colorless).
-
Bad game design. That's why.
-
If you have brain-dead teammates, well, it sucks to be you, but it's not the killer's fault.

How ya doin', my fellow killer mains? Lovely weather, what? What ya doin'? Some killing? Me too. Must be going, now. Things to do. Like killing. I'm a killer-main.

*DS shouldn't exist.

It's a classic, really.
-Killers complain about something (in this case, the Plague's power being near useless) ---> the devs insult them and/or tell them to "just adapt" ("You don't know how to play them!!!!!!11!!!") ---> killers adapt (in this case by using the Plague's movement speed while holding her power at their advantage) ---> the devs nerf them because they were able to adapt (they reduced the new killer's movement speed while holding the puke).

Welp, another shadownerf to add to the list.
BTW, she was always meme tier. You can clearly hear her footsteps when she's phasing.

Hopefully never.

Yes, as long as they get the current Frank's as a baseline stat.

Here's the main issue I take with Billy:
When a Killer has high mobility and map pressure, it comes at a cost, because that is a very powerful attribute.
Hag? Her mobility and map pressure requires setting up and depends on Survivors falling for it.
Nurse? Her blinks are hard to control and put her into fatigue.
Wraith? He can't attack while cloaked.
Spirit? She can't see Survivors.
Legion? His bonus mobility is literally fake.
Billy, on the other hand, gets the highest map pressure in the game, and not only does it not have any drawbacks to it, but also has the added bonus of having CONSTANT access to the uncontested easiest-to-hit instadown of any Killer.
You can see where the problems would arise.
Yes, the issue is that every single killer you named as an example of "balanced killer" is poorly designed.

"bUt GHeiM DeZigN rEQuiReZ lotZ Of TEzxtInG!!!11!!!"
Well, it didn't take long for them to completely trash the Nurse, Myers and his perks, and Freddy himself...

I think I know why: it's not coming, that's why.

Hint: you can hear her footsteps, so you always know where she's coming from.

Pallet looping is an exploit, as it shares several features with other exploits.
The survivors' collision is smaller than the killers', so survivors can turn around corners faster and make sharper turns. This causes the killers' faster movement speed to become less relevant, and it only gets worse when you take into account that survivors (the most experienced ones at least) literally hug walls and debris in general, and the killer, because of their 1st person POV, can't do the same.
Survivors are not passively just using pallet looping because it is there, they caused it to exist in the first place* and they have not practised any playstyle that doesn't crutch with pallet loops in two years.
*at one point, in the early days of Dead by daylight, survivors started to use pallets to farm and grief the killer rather than escape chases. Killers complained, got told to "just adapt", and we did. We started playing the hokey-cokey at pallets, when survivors were about to drop them. Long story short, the survivor dropped the pallet, missed the stun, and the chase continued. The situation worsened when a bug that caused stuns to award max boldness points was introduced. Some survivors would even disconnect after missing a stun, they were so desperate for the points, lol. Anyway, at that point killers started lunging mid cokey to get hits in and cut the BS short. Survivors went ballistic and drowned the forums in over eight thousand threads about "unfair" hits through pallet drops. So, patch 1.1.1 dropped and brought several buffs to pallets with it, the most noticeable one being the so-called "pallet vacuum". But there were also a set of unlisted changes that included modifications to both the range and time-window for a pallet stun, and also a reduction in the survivors' collision box.
-
@op they're supposed to increase the rate at wich he regains his 115% movement speed during the chainsaw attack. They don't work, though, mainly because Leatherface himself is bugged.
-
Honestly, if Bhvr doesn't want to rework the Legion, giving them Frank's mixtape and Cold dirt as part of their base kit is an option. And no. I don't care how "unfun" it may see/play for survivors.

Devs said it's not, it's fine and they wont change it. Period. Cry somewhere else about looping beeing an exploit, you are making yourself looking like fool.

What are you talking about?
1. Looping is not an exploit, devs said so
2. A killer with a half brain will eventually get you if your mates aren't optimal at gens. Pallets and windows are limited, you can't 1v1 a killer for 10+ minutes. It's not 2016 anymore.
Pallet looping is definitely an exploit, as it shares several features with other exploits.

Just don't play killer. No killers = no games.
-
If the killer manages to catch you even if you abuse an uncounterable exploit, you're flat out friggin' bad. Swallow your pride and admit it.
-
Baby entitled crutchvivors will whine more, lol
-
She's a slightly better Doctor.
-
@OP I mean, they've been doing it since the LEATHERFACE DLC.
-
Don't feed the troll.
-
Survivors shouldn't do generators, it's a scumbag move.
-
Equip Sprint burst, Self care, Decisive strike and Adrenaline. If you're not being chased, go to a gen and hold M1 until the progress bar is completely filled. If you're being chased, abuse either the bad map design most maps suffer from or your smaller collision to run in circles around stuff with a pallet at hand to nullify the killer's higher movement speed. Boom. You countered each and every killer in the game (including the Nurse).
-
Sure, as long as Killers get an offering to make survivors start the trial already hooked.
-
I don't think the Legion is fine. If they're gonna leave their power as it is, they have to build Frank's mix tape and Cold dirt into their base kit, this killer is useless without those addons.
-
Well, if self-harming is your cup of tea...
-
It's not coming, they can't make money with a Freddy rework. You might as well stop holding your breath.
