I see this a lot when I was playing killer with ds users. They get downed really fast for being stupid with it. However their are really good survivors who can extend the chase way past the time you downed them which is really bs. Last week I used this perk at the coal tower after my first hook and already running the killer for 2 gens. I was able to run him for another gen, escape the chase and heal, then get found almost right after the heal and ran him around intell a survivor opened the gate and I escaped.
-
@George_Soros Ok for people supporting DS due to being downed quickly that's the users falt. BAD DS users either always miss or they use it in the open. You should only use the perk if you are near a pallet or on your last hook, while I hate this perk I did use it for a week the week before and noticed that I could easily waste at least 40 seconds in the red ranks when not being stupid. My best game with DS was useing it on my second hook near the big loop on the coal tower map. I was the first guy found and was getting tunneled for already running him around for two gens. I used DS, looped him for another gen then got away to heal. He found me again and I was able to last in tell someone got a gate open and I escaped. While that was my best one, I also got a TON of free hatch and gate escapes thanks to DS that I did not deserve. The worst part about this perk is that everyone can use it and if they are good its pretty much gg. For the record. About the match i described before, the killer was a really good billy main who I face pretty often. He did not suck and has destroyed me and the other survivors almost every match I've played against him (mainly due to the other survivors being idiots)
Fyi I am a killer main but my headset recently broke so I have been playing a lot of survivor while trying out different builds with my meg. -
DS is fine = Communism is fine.
-
RIP
-
@Wahara pretty much how my list is except for the corn. I play that map so often that my eyes can make out colors that do not belong like pink, red, blood red, dark green, brown, ect. I also don't usually get juked either so the map that I HATE the most is the preschool. That map is cancer and has a lot of good loops.
-
I agree with most things but alert is amazing rn. I feel its really underrated and unused. It gets used at least 10 times a match and as a solo player it has saved me and helped me quite a few times. Imo its a A- or B+.
-
NOED can be removed easily just do the totems, they are not that hard to find.
DS is the only be perk that is ruining the game. Its a brain dead perk that wastes to much time and can be used by every survivor. -
Good tips but not the gen taping one and dull totems. Ruin actually helps you get better at hiting great skill checks since your mind wants to hit that tiny area. Also it wastes more time then just hiting the good area and taking the -5%. what's more is that you might not even get a hex skill check or only a few so wasting all that time gen taping is not really worth it. As for dull totems they don't waste that much time and at max you usually find 3 since other survivors also cleanse them. Its better to play safe then get one shoot at the end and get camped.
-
Cat in the hat. His power would be to just pull out a bunch of random ######### out of his hat to kill the survivors.
-
Ok I can see your point but still, Freddy imo is not b tier he is at most c tier. I assume that with clown if he was not bugged he would be A tier. Well it kinda sucks for me since I got 2 clown daily's ive been avoiding >_<Purr said:@AChaoticKiller @Rex_Huin clown is bugged atm and his bottles explode in his hand even if u have clear line of sight as for freddy and huntress think they are decently map needy plus need addons/perks to be decent
piggy and wraith are underrated and have alot of poteintal but are skill reliant and addon needy at times but can cope without -
Yea as someone who uses ruin a lot I like it when they gen tap. It wastes more time than just doing the gen or looking for the totem.
-
I will give it a try but i think most of these will be bad.
Why was the pig unable to put a RBT on meg.
She couldn't wrap her head around it.
Why is the trapper so terrifying.
Because he himself is a trap.
Who can you always rely on for a helping hand. The hag.
Now here's one I kinda dreamed about but turned into a joke.
The entity set up a strip club and invited all the killers and survivors. When Dwight entered he saw the nurse serving drinks and Myers as the bartender with the pig as his assistant. When he looked to the stage he saw the hag and spirit grinding the polls. But he noticed that there was 3 polls. "Hey so uhh, where is the huntress. Shouldn't she be up on that stage." Trapper called him over and pointed to the empty poll and said "She called in sick. Whatever you do don't fall asleep, trust me. You don't want to see Freddy grinding that poor poll." -
@purr freddy is a b tier? I can agree with s tier but the rest is something I can't. Like to me huntress is not equal to Fred and wraith and pig should be switched with huntress. Also clown should be A tier. That's just my opinion tho.
-
I think someone needs to learn this is a 4v1 game and that when you put 4 skilled survivors against a skilled killer they will win.
Nice bait tho your gunna get a lot of people. -
Dude its not possible on Xbox one, I have been playing on it for years and I have 1k on dbd itself. Not once have I seen a lag switcher myself or on any of the clubs I'm in for dbd. If it was possible than I assure you it would have been posted on one of those clubs and since that is a popular subject and would receive a lot of attention it would appear on the games official club and yet a clip of lag switching has never been seen. The only things I've seen that is similar to lag switching are clips of players with really bad connection to the host.Khalednazari said:Ignore all that is spoken above. Lag switch is possible on any platform. There's a clear difference between a lag switch and a normal latency issue.
As for the answer to your question, yes, you can report the person. It's also helpful if you record the gameplay. At the moment, there's no ban system for console, but @not_Queen, our community mamager, replied in a similar thread I made, wherein she has assured that they are working on it and we shouldn't stop using the reporting section, since it is all logged in their backend. -
Any killer can get a 4k however its the consistency that matters. A killer that gets a ton of 1k regardless of play styles against a good competitive team is a bad killer or low tier. Killers who usually get 2k or 3k (not because of hatch) are decent killers also known as mid tier. Finally killers who 4k constantly like billy, Good nurses, and good hags are the top killers, the high tier. This is usually what I find when people talk about how good a killer is.Whisky_Glass said:You said "each game"
If it happened regularly the first thing i'd try to do is see where i'm failing at, see other players running the same killer and stuff. Then if i see it's a common thing then yeah, i would ask for a buff, but i've seen different players using non-top killers in a way that made them top tier killers. Last time was yesterday against an astonishing clown who kept the map pressure so well, i was the only one who managed to escape through the hatch with only 2 gens done, and i can assure you we were playing efficiently.
To the devs a "balanced killer" gets about 2k a match. However to the dbd community this is considered a tie or a loss to the killer regardless of the side. Because of this a "balanced killer" to the community is actually a killer who can 3k or 4k often regardless of what the devs say. -
@purr I'd like to see this list, not calling you out. I just want to know what people place the mid rank killers at, feel free to post a link. As far as how strong survivors are your pretty spot on except when there's a try hard swf team it feels pretty hopeless to try to get more than a kill. I will say tho that you should try to hit rank 1 on both sides at least once to have a experience of what its like, makes it easier to understand others on some subjects. For me I got about 1k hours and I go to rank 1 as killer mainly because I hate destroying the low to mid rank teams. However as a survivor I try to go for rank 5 since I feel its a good area to play. My only wish concerning rank is the devs give out rewards like shards based on your rank. This would make the grind for useless cosmetics a little nicer.
-
Exactly, this is why white noise 2 died. It was fun and scary to play but winning as a survivor was next to impossible. You could also die 1 minute into a match and the monsters were so unbalanced that even the weakest one could easily win let alone the stronger ones.Peasant said:@thesuicidefox said:
There shouldn't be a "power role", just survivors vs killers. In an asymmetrical game, a team of 2 or more players that are statistically weaker than 1 other player must use coordination and teamwork to overcome the singular player that will have more power, the power role. Dead by Daylight may be a "horror" game but it an asymmetrical horror game. The game needs to be balanced around 4 survivors working together to overcome 1 killer otherwise the player base will eventually grow bored and leave. The key is reaching a perfect balance. Survivor needs to be challenging and scary without feeling like a chore. At the same time, the killer must be fun to play as without being too luxurious as otherwise, we will see too few hosts and not enough connectors, which creates problems.
-
Its easy to get the achievements except skilled huntress... But yea id have about the same amount of you if I went for the adept achievements.
-
Its easy to get them, if your so worried just bring a map with two range add-ons and an event offering as a survivor. You will almost always get a vial a game even in red rank.
-
Killer main here, not trying to be toxic but over the 1k hours I've played if they get to the hatch just let them go. Is the extra blood points really worth it? The only times I've won a stand off is when I'm 1 hit killer and they are being dumb. I do agree that they need to rework it tho, its bs that they get a free escape by just getting near the hatch.
-
Never ment it like that, i meant that they were the the only kilers that could have control over the game.ad19970 said:Well you imply though that Hillbilly and Nurse in particular already were in good control before the latest killer buffs, which would make them overpowered now with the recent buffs. Not sure if I would agree with Billy but Nurse definitely seems overpowered, especially with certain add ons, and I can see why survivor mains have a problem with that. I wouldn't want to have to face an overpowered killer regularly.
-
A killer perk that makes grunts of pain 100% louder and breathing 50% louder. With it you can hear survivors easier and hear them in lockersredsopine1 said:What's stridor? -
When I'm bored I use my four totem build with billy on the game map. Really fun build I either get a few dc or a actual good game.
-
No you can't hear them in lockers enless they are injured and even then you have to get really close. However if they are useing stridor they can hear you easily even from a few feet away no matter if your injured or not.
-
Sounds like your teammates were careless. Even with the add-on you can watch for grass movement and get off the gen before she grabs you. I actually like this addon as both killer and survivor since it makes the game more scary.
-
Good thing I already got my vials
the only thing that could make it better is if they bug out the vials so I can get more.
-
You have become what you swore to destroy.
-
Classic case of get good. Here's a tip, don't try to 360 or any of that ######### its easy to follow and predict. Instead gain the short amount of distance during his charge up and then at the last second dodge it. You will gain enough distance to make it so billy can't do a whip to redirect himself to you and he can't turn fast enough to hit you last second. Just do a quick right or left depending if the billy is going more to one side or the other and boom ez dodge.
-
If you want to avoid the killer use alert instead of dark sense. I'm useing it and I almost always know where the killer is. Also ds is pretty op, I've had a lot of games ruined by that perk. Its a get out of jail card that wastes too much of the killers time.TatsuiChiyo said:I enjoy Dark Sense, DS, Dance with Me, and Deliverance.
Dark Sense helps me know where the Killer is going so I can avoid them like the coward that I am, plus early game can help me know what I'm dealing with.
Call DS OP, but I think it's a good perk, and that's having gone against it as a Killer. Just a nice failsafe in case I'm caught.
Dance With Me is helpful to confuse the Killer, and even sometimes escape since it removes scratch marks.
And Deliverance is the failsafe to my DS if I can get it set up. One time had a cheeky Michael down me in front of an open gate. He walked off to do something and I pulled myself off and bolted. Helps that I main Kate so they don't expect it -
Ever since that mask came out for her I've seen a lot of toxic fengs. Only survivor I have not seen toxic is ace.
-
Its called juking. Survivors are small and corners are good for juking since you can turn the corner, crotch, then get behind the killer as he turns the corner. It could also be the survivor went a different direction and you did not notice. There are also perks for this like iron will, quick and quite, and Kate's scratch mark perk (I forget the name)
-
Wow an actual good post. I like a lot if these ideas but something on this scale would take a while and would completely change the game. I actually like current dbd and tbh id rather the devs do bug fixs and balancing than trying to change the gameplay so drastically.
-
I use instant escape. It makes the killer dc after a certain amount of time within a chase. You can also shorten the amount of time by t-baging and spaming the flashlight.
-
Yet here I am getting 2 to 3 saves a game if i bring Sprint bust and empathy. Still easy to get the save if the killer picks them up in the open and you know how far you have to be.
-
Yea.... This is a lot of info for a power. Devs would not do this. Honestly I think ghost face would not fit in dbd nothing is really scary about him. Hes just a guy in a dress wearing a mask.
-
Dude has any other event required you to play the killer side to get a currency to pick out 7 cool skins. The answer is no and everyone wants to get as many cosmetics as possible. Survivor vials were easy to get and a lot of people did it first due to no wait times and easy gathering so now we have a big party of killers who are mainly survivor mains trying to get their vials.
-
Here's one
Billy needs a nerf. He has 115% movement speed with instant down saw that's so broken. They should make it so he's chainsaw is slower and can't 1 shoot without an add-on like huntress. Pls nerf devs I should not have to play against good killers. -
I'm at 16, just watch something on your phone as you wait. I only have to get at least 2 vials a day to get to 30. As for not getting a vail a match, that happens. Enless 4 offerings are used you will have to play two games to get 1 vial.
-
Or maby its the fact that you need to play killer to get 3 more event pieces
nice troll tho
-
It was haunted grounds. The totem was haunted grounds...Rex_Huin said:This was at the start of the match - we had just spotted a hex totem on top a hill.
-
I'm already done with my survivor vials and I got 16 killer vials. That over half the vials in less than half the event. Just get good
-
Imo wraith has the best weapon with huntress as a close second
-
If your playing the game on an account that does not have it you will still keep your progress. However your progress will not transfer to any other account so if your playing on your second account it will not transfer to your main account. If the accounts are connected example Xbox game sharing the dlc you buy will be usable on both accounts.

Really? What was his power?RotBb said:
It’s the ripper, or something like that, it was mentioned by the devs, but they said it was taken out of the game really early in development because his power was way too opChrona said:"Last night, a disfigured man barged into the laboratory with a gruesome, mechanical mouth and shred the wall into splinters"
Disfigured man with a gruesome mechanical mouth? Could it be the doctor, or a hint to a new killer?
-
Sprint burst and balanced landing are tied imo. Sprint bust can still be used at the beginning of a chase and can still be used a lot in a match to get to places. Balanced landing is really good too and in some ways, better than SB but some maps have few places to use it and can't be used as often as SB. Dead hards a good option but some killers can Insta down you and its easy to bait out.
-
Doing this challenge on Xbox in rank 1 is doing it in extreme mode... Challenge accepted.
-
Yea I agree with the sensitivity change but the grab is not just with the pig, its all killers. This bug makes you freeze while you do a grab then it turns into a hit or something idk but it is a problem that has made me lose a survivor and it extends the chase when it should have ended.
-
Just going to say it because I cringed inside.
Its perks. Not skills. -
She's good but really needs add-ons to not suck. However even without add-ons she's not freddy level. Tbh I have not played her in a while but even I can see her power now has some god mind game potential in fact she's the best mind game killer. Only thing I want is for stridor to work against iron will so iron will does not destroy her power.
Up vote if you want stridor fixed so spirit can have mega sound tracking with it.
