lol 105% movement speed for hillbilly would trash that killer.

He goes to 230% speed with his chainsaw, it definitely would not

    Yes, it would.

How? Explain how making him more reliant on his chainsaw makes him garbage. Good players with him already don’t M1 unless they absolutely have to.

I can already tell you're not in red ranks.

I can already tell your not good with balance. If he had 105% speed he would not be able to get behind survivors to saw them, and he would be looped to death. Mid to long range saws only work on bad survivors and even then they can still avoid them easily.

Decisive is fine, after all, it takes up a perk slot and it’s one time use. If you try to hit it and miss, you waste the perk. It’s balanced.
    1. If you can't hit a simple skill check your just bad.
    2. Even if your bad and you hit it, its still very easy to waste a ton if the killers time by getting to a pallet or jungle gym.
    3. If your good then the killer might as well leave you after the ds because otherwise its a 2m to 3m chase for 1 person.

This is the most often thing I see in rank 1 how tf is that balanced. Just because your bad at chase does not mean others are not. Any really good survivor can waste more than 2m without ds so give them ds and apply that to 4 of them. Might as well just sit in a corner and wait for gens to be done.
  • Wow if you need to do that your bad. I play billy for this event because he's my only killer with bbq, iron grasp, and agitation. With him its a ez 4k but I don't do that, I get them all to last hook before 3 gens are done and then just saw along the outer map so I don't pip. Only problem I face is the wait time for a full lobby.
  • Just agree to farm, when the game starts get your hooks then actually kill them or let them go. I have been going against a lot of try hards so I play billy and get my hooks and bbq stacks them I let them go so I don't pip. After this event is over or when I get my 30 killer vials ill return to rank 1. I think this might be the only time I won't care if killers depip to get lobbies since the wait time on high rank is absurd.

  • <font color="darkviolet"> well if you just search color codes on the forum a guy made a good post about it along with other forum features it appears I just can't use color because I'm doing this on my phone
  • I've seen a few, be cool if the devs gave him some cosmetics from the movie.
  • Lol for me its the opposite no nice survivors. I let them farm nectar and leave them alone then later in the game when I'm farming nectar they try hard like their life depends on it. So I resort to just play billy try hard style and hook everyone at least once with bbq then when I get my nectar I just run alonge the walls of the map.
  • I think as a killer main these perks would actually be helpful. However having deer stalker as a base kit is kinda dumb and ruins any chance of downed survivors getting away from you to be healed. As for knock out same thing, no need to make getting back up so difficult and knowing were a survivor is downed is extremely helpful. Without knowing where a downed survivor is, it can easily turn the game into a slug meta were you see another survivor and can down them and hook them before the other survivors are able to find the previously downed guy.
  • You know when I first saw this post I thought he was going to come out and say he's gay. I'm not the only one right?

@Fibijean her ambush is not entirely useless. If you crouching the whole game your playing her wrong you only crotch when survivors start to become careless or if you know where they are and their occupied. Her ambush can also make small loops totally unsafe.

However... You are right that she sucks. If she crotches at a loop just run to a different one to gain distance and chances are she won't even know you ran due to reduced hieght. Her ambush is also easily countered by SB and can be easily juked. The only real threat are her bear traps but enless your supper unlucky chances are they will just waste a minute of your time.

thtas the point waste of your time while the pig gets hooks and stuff. i also find burning a ebony mori as the pig makes her s+ teir

Than I guess any s tier killer become a god. As for the mid tiers they become s+ tier and low tiers become s tiers. Ebony mori's are the biggest game changers.

  • @Wolf74 totally agree, I actually think we may see some less biased people after this event.

@Johnathonskillz its actually really easy to farm both sides its just killer takes longer. For survivor if you bring a map than its very easy to find and fill your vial and if you don't have a map it can still be done depending on your team. As a killer asumming you bring a offering and get at least 3 hooks a game than most it will take you is 60 games. If your not farming with survivors to get a full vial per match than bring iron grasp and agitation to get to the event hooks. I'm already done with my survivor vials and I'm at 9 killer vials from the same day I finished the survivor ones.
  • I've been a rank 1 killer for the past 4 months but not right now due to the event. As for survivor I've only been in it once and usually end up in rank 4 or 5 due to me not playing survivor often.

Ranking up is very easy but what a lot of people don't see is that the try hard swf groups are usually there as well. Come across one of these groups and you WILL lose with 0 to 1 kills if your not skilled.
  • I would actually love to do this, they cost the same so why not. However the items are a lot more useful so maby like 3 offerings for 1 FL or med. Gives us a reason to care about them after we finish the event.
  • I feel like everyones going for wraith XD. I got the whole wraith set and I'm going for the doc next. I like having complete sets or my ocd kicks in.

Yeah lots of people been complaining about this...even before the event. My average wait time is around twenty minutes...sometimes more.

    @Master said:
Just wait a few days until the survivor mains give up on killer and switch to survivor again.

    The event lasts 2 weeks

Yeah I've been doing that but unfortunately i have already come across trolls blocking the event hooks. I figure these people are mad that they cant participate in the event after getting their 30 vials so naturally they plan to take it out on other players. I suspect this will only get worse the closer we get to the events deadline.

That's why I use iron grasp and agitation if they block and I did not travel far, I hit them then down them since they usually wait near the hook or don't run in tell you hook the person you have. I got 7 vials as killer and 23 as survivor so I think ill finish my survivor ones today and focus on killer.
  • This is the only real issue I see with the event. This que time is just going to get bigger as more survivors get their vials so you might want to just deal with it before it gets worse. Farm with survivors or whatever you need to do before we get a lobby an hour.
  • @brokedownpalace That was the reward change which is easy. How tf are they going to change any major parts of the event like lobby's, how to get vials, or the suicides that survivors are doing to farm. They can't enless they want to make the community go ballistic. Complaining about these things which I see often won't change that. At least with the cosmetics it was before the event and the devs only needed to do some value changes to please us.
  • I don't like exploting clad's blackness to hide so I picked meg because females don't have huge body's and its easier to hide behind objects. Also ever since I first played meg I had a bug at the end of the match which made her merge with another meg and I was like "The entity has chosen my main"
  • Devs did a good job people are just ungrateful. I was actually pretty pissed when i found out that you could only get one skin set before they changed it, now I'm pretty chill. I will say tho that in almost any event dbd will have some people will only focus on the event and then try to end the match as soon as possible. A good example of this is the last two events were gen rushing was almost every game because of the event gens. At least this event can give us some good games depending on how the survivors act.
  • Legacy should be artifact because its a thing of the past. You can't get it so it would make sense. I wonder if the devs are going to do some sort of event for the future that ties directly with the lore of the game like something from the past.

I agree. This should also affect Leatherface, Wraiths bell, clowns bottle, etc.

The reason i only listed Billy and not LF is because of licensing.

Btw, I doubt that it would be a problem with Leatherface. And Dwight's beaten face is the proof.

Not really, dwight is not a licensed character. If the devs wanted to give a cosmetic to a survivor based off of one of their licensed killer they can easily do that. Now if they gave dwight a leather face mask then that causes problems since that is directly related to leather face.
  • Everything but the terror radius part is good, this would make blindness alot better.
  • Lol I was playing killer for a few hours and only got 6 vials due to the fact that you need to get 6 hooks a match if you want to get a vial and you have to wait like 6 minutes for a full lobby. As survivor I just put out a offering and bring a map. There is usually at least 3 offerings a game and with a map I usually get a vial per game. Even if I didn't have to wait for a lobby as killer, getting vials as survivor is much easier.
  • I thought the exact same thing. Missed opportunity to make the moon and the light on the maps more spooky.
  • You guys know that when a plant if finished by any survivor and you have used an offering, you get 8k blood points. Just throwing that out there.

Just because you refuse to acknowledge what someone says, does not mean that they didn’t do what you asked. Have a great trolling night, as I won’t be visiting your bridge anymore.

    DON’T FEED THE TROLLS

Yea should not feed trolls. After all they never have something to use as a good back bone to win a argument with and they never answer your questions. Not to mention they don't address the whole post but instead take out a small part and try to sound all high and mighty with it.
  • @kaelum Also what did I misrepresent. In regular games you try to maximise your blood point gain while trying to escape. If you don't do this you get every low amount around 12k to 15k. In the previous events all you just did was focus on the event gens. They gave you a TON of bp, they were the main objective you had to do, and because of the massive amount of bp you get there was no need to extend the match to earn a decent amount of bp. This is perfect for gen rush since you had short games but still got a good profit. So again tell me what am I misrepresenting.

It is not possible to have a conversation with someone who misrepresents the facts. That is only partially accurate, but then you already knew that.

Ok at this point I'm fairly sure your trolling. You did not answer my first question which was where is your proof to go against my response and you don't answer with anything other than I'm right here's one sentence as to why your wrong. If anything your the one were its impossible to have a real conversation because you don't provide evidence or even anything really. Like I said before, have a valid point if your going to have an agrument and if you actually do this, don't just point out one part of my response and instead address the whole thing.

I've seen this idea a couple times before, sometimes tools instead of parts, or gas. I do like the idea, though this event has shed some light onto what kind of effect that could have on gameplay. I've noticed (as killer) that a good team is able to overcome the additional objective fairly easily, while an average team struggles with that extra match length. It would be a tricky thing to balance well to where it's still a challenge for experienced players while not being brutally unfair and frustrating to newer players.

I'm still down to see how that would play out, but it would need to be done very carefully.

I can see this being the case that's why I think 20 seconds is not alot. One thing you have to know about this event is that it would not be a good reference for this idea in terms of what survivors focus on. Right now with this event survivors spend the first 2m of the match competing for serum instead of doing some gens and Then mid to late game getting the serum. The way I think my idea would go is they search for the boxes which won't take long because of how many there are, Then once they get a part go to the nearest gen to repair. It would take some extra time but right now that's what the game needs since matches end too fast.

People want tokens so they rush to the gen and get them done asap.

How does this differ from when there isn’t an event? You just keep proving my point over, and over, again.

It differs because unlike regular games, you get a ton of blood points for doing your primary objective without having to focus on other tasks such as saves, totems and getting chase points. You just gen rush. This event actually does a good job at preventing this if you want serum. The problem is that survivors compete for the plants right from the start instead of working as a team to do a few gens and getting them mid to late game. How about you stop talking nonsense and come up with a valid point instead of just saying I'm wrong.

I actually disagree, if they did this gen rushing would be more common...

You obviously have not been playing very long. All of the previous events have not had this issue, so your statement is proven false.

I got nearly 1k hours and in the previous events I had a ton of gen rushers. People want tokens so they rush to the gen and get them done asap. Also what got proven false, because you said so? Where's your proof.

Silly idea. Add a chain or something that's in the floor, kinda like the hatch but a little smaller with black fluid to symbolize the entire stuff so won't look too off. You have to activate these things too, no skill checks but totem like, takes time but no skill checks and resets it If you leave.

You can do it whenever you want but these things spawns every time a gen is repaired, so you have to do 5 of em. To track then, like the hatch add a sound, different from the hatch possibly. Would take like 30s to do on of em and you can decide when do that. After a gen or after all gens are powered.

You must do these things in order to make the gates be powered. Lore wise the entire would prevent the power to go to the gates that's why you do this.

I don't know, I thought this while reading you guys in 2 min so it might as well have a lot of flaws but still an idea
This would just result in killers camping that thing. What I think would be a good idea is if we have things similar to the plant around the level, think of them an entity boxes. These boxes have parts that survivors need to do a gen. Once they get this part and interact with the gen, that gen can now be repaired by all survivors and the part is consumed by the gen. Once all gens have a part then the entity prevents survivors from interacting with the boxes and regular game play goes on from here. I was thinking between 7 and 9 boxes would spawn a match they would give a decent amount of bp and killers can't see the boxes arua. This would also be a cool buff to the bnp since they could be used instead of a regular part.
  • Agree 100%.  Necter should be on the gens.

Actually it might encourage even better play if you only got your nector if someone escapes.  More people escape, more nector.  That way it encourages team play and still normalish games.
I actually disagree, if they did this gen rushing would be more common then if their was no event and it would make the event look like a re-skin of the other two events. Its actually well balanced When you get survivors who do gens in the beginning then farm nectar mid game and don't just waste 2m looking for plants before doing gens. If this was not an event but part of the game as a mega bp objective or required thing then games would last longer and be more fun when survivors are not wasting time competing for serum.
  • @centren well I guess I'm a nectar hog. I got 5 as survivor and 6 as killer so far. I think getting at least 10 vials a day is pretty easy as long as you don't get insane wait time in the lobby.
  • I wanted a blight hag skin that would be sick af

  • gets pulled out of the hatch and sacrifice=AWZESYTU(&RSZEYU)^SDRIT*S^UTEYFDSR^EYT&GYG disconnect then punches and kicks nearest object while tears stream down their face

This made me laugh really hard. I got a brother who got pulled out of the hatch and did exactly this.
  • If they increased the award amount to 6 cosmetic pieces than I would not complain. 1 hole skin set is cool but what pissed me off was that they made it seem like you had the potential to get all the skin sets. This event is better than previous events but they hyped it up and then shot it down with just a few words. Hopefully they increase the amount of skins we can get or at least learn from this event for the future.
  • Dude if you derank your scum nothing more or less. You face against lower skilled players which is just frustrating for the other side and when you dc you screw over your teamates. As for casual mode as I said before it won't work. Dbd is a game were 1 player can make or break a team. In rank 1 I sometimes get a swf group with 1 low rank player and that player is the reason I destroy the team. Dc should be punished it ruins the game for your fellow survivors along with the killer when you should be in rank 1 but because as you said earlier "low ranks are nicer or some bs like that" you go against new killers and ruin there gaming experince.
  • I wish they did the hag she could have looked lit af
  • Yea the devs pulled a great bait if you ask me. We find out there are cool skins and 2 WEEKS to get them only to get slapped with "If you maximize your play time you can get ONE skin set" that's total bs. What they should have done is made it so if you wanted a lot of the skins you'd have to grind your ass off. Then at the end sell them with cells to the players who could not get the skins. If they did this then it would be the best event dbd would ever have. I wish we could at least get a killer and survivor skin set like the previous events.
  • Sloppy Butcher already became more popular when it was given the Mangled effect. Now it's gonna be even better, not sure if it will make it to meta though. I'm guessing not.
But it greatly increases the usefulness of Autodidact too.
As a killer main sloppy butcher is a great perk to use, almost better than ruin in terms of how handy of a time waster it is. Its also great for tracking due to the extra blood which really gives away iron will users trying to be sneaky. Sloppy butcher will more than likely be meta with the healing change, 40 seconds is half a gen that could have been done is the way I see it.
  • Not for me. I play billy and so far my hits have been on point so idk how they are broken. As a survivor they are still not broken because I can still easily dodge them when they are on my a**. Most people I find who call them broken just don't know how to dodge, they immediately start spinning when the billy starts the saw instead of getting the little distance during his start up and then dodging.
  • Lowbei said:
sc takes about 20secs at half speed (or something similar) you are saying to find another player (which may or may not still be alive) to then force them to spend 10seconds of their time AND 10seconds of yours (back to 20secs of survivor time spent), not to mention time it takes to find them, get to them, and get them to start healing.

your numbers dont add up. it is irresponsible to not run sc
Sorry dude its 32 seconds because of the heal nerf. It takes 16 seconds to be healed by survivors so that x2 gets you 32.
  • Mediva said:

As far is i have read, killers were against the upcoming camping patch because it would give survivors a free unhook. But to me, not punishing camping after exit gates are open, is the same for killers. Its basically a free kill then that you didnt deserve. Feel free to camp then if you really must have a kill. But take the extra minus points as well for it then too.

So your saying I should let that survivor get a free win for surviving up to the last minute and getting caught. Also its not like he's sentenced to death its still very possible with good team play to save people from camping and at end game its very easy to do this without someone getting caught before they reach the gates.
  • I want to use insidious with her purple add-on that removes her woosh sound that would be a good combo. Your just doing a gen and out of no where you get grabbed.
  • Wow its almost like i made a post about this before. Yes alert needed a buff but this is just stupid. Killer usually performs the break action 15 times a match enless its a quick game where survivors are dying left and right. Still this perk provides too much info on the killer. It ruins killers who stealth because you will now know where they are going if they kick a gen. It also will tell you whenever a chase happens because pallets. This perk also just makes OoO and Dark sense useless again because why reveal yourself or have 50 seconds of arua read MAX a match, when you can have over two minutes of arua read easily a match without having to for fill any requirement.
  • @DeadByFlashlight its just to get the animation right and with this you can body block, idk why survivors complain about this. The reason why you can't hook from all angles is because it would very weird, think about it. The hook turns to you, survivor gets hooked then they turn towards the front of the hook. This would just look weird and would be a waste of time for them to animate.
  • These ideas just seem to be a complete f u to survivors. The issue with end game is it comes to fast and making the killer super op will only make this game more unfun to play. Second idea is not bad but as long as your at least decent you won't lose the survivor and its granted sacrifices. What this game needs is some side objectives to increase the length of a match. If they can do that this game would be better.
