Maybe the devs got it right first time and it should have been 30 vials max?

15 for survivor and 15 for killer.

All done in a few days, one nice outfit, grind done and back to normal?

Now everyone is having a moan and a grizzle basically because its going on too long.

I think they were pressured into making a poor choice.

  • I think you need to think what the complaints are actually about, its has nothing to do with the grind and everything to do with the length of time to a queue for killer, 20-40 mins in a lobby waiting for a game to pop is waiting for a game longer than you actually play.

  • It's kind of silly that they messed up an event so bad the shorter it was the better.

Ideally in hindsight they could have just given us 2 free skins and a double bp weekend and 0 vials.

But my understanding is that queue is caused because everyone want to play killer to get their 30 vials?
If it was only 15 as originally intended then not so much of a problem.

The killer queues were aleady bugged before this event and have been for a couple of months, its why a lot of people are asking them to just let them get all the vials from either side and survivors can continue to collect the flowers once finished helping the others progress so the ones who are killer mains can get games faster.

It would still be a problem with 15 vials as its really not about how many you need to get, the grind is not the problem as I said it is having to wait 20-40 minutes for a game, no one wants to sit in a lobby not playing, if you could get

Yes there are more playing killer but not just to get the vials, It is also the fact killers can keep getting the extra bloodpoints when playing an offering while survivors have to rely on the others needing vials, you can earn a lot more playing killer normally 50-60k per game without BBQ and survivor well 15-30k you would say without and with the bonus after you are finished the 30 as to be fair most others playing in the higher ranks are as well.

So you see its not about the grind for vials there is a lot more to the problem, if it was 30 and each side could keep earning with no lobby problems most people would have them both done by now or at the latest this weekend easily.

I was done with 30 on both sides 2 days ago already.
It was a weekend event basically.

Its a joke that the event lasts 2 weeks, but who am I to complain.
IN the meantime I play other games and enjoy survivors crying on forum how hard it is to get killer vials

That's not 100% true, I had absolutely no problems to get survivors to my lobby before the event. My longest Q time at rank 1 was 5 minutes, and this happened around 2 times per week. Otherwise I got my lobby filled within the first minute. And this was nearly always like that for me, unless I double pipped super quick to rank 1 after a rank reset .

    Yes.

Be fair, not all of us can play enough (even over a weekend) to collect 60 vials super quick. :)

    Hahaha.

Yes it not 100% for everyone but there is a lobby bug which causes delays in them filling, the devs spoke about it on stream a couple of weeks ago, there has been no patch or word from them of the issue or when it may be fixed.

Some regions are less affected and get lobbies quicker than others but you just have to look at the forums over the past few weeks prior to the event and you will see lots of posts about long queue times, the worst affected areas are ranks 20-15 and 6-1, some say there is no actual bug and its just a lack of survivors but who really knows.

Only the most dedicated players should be able to benefit from the full event potential. Thats how it works in other games too.

  • I'm already done with my survivor vials and I got 16 killer vials. That over half the vials in less than half the event. Just get good  :p

A lower cap would have caused faster complaints. No cap (even if you can still only buy six items) would make everyone happy.
