I would say I do understand the basic mechanics and know the most stuff a killer should know. Just finished a game with some salty survivors on PS4. They finished two gens, but each went down insanely quick in a chase, resulting in a 4K. Got messages that my score was going to suck because I didn't chase them enough. It was 23,960 (I don't think it's so bad). I was Clown (for a daily). So I see a lot of Killers complaining about loops but I don't get why. I was red rank before reset and main the Hag. Idk if that's bc I have enough game experience or bc I play one of the best anti-loop killer but I don't really have any troubles with "infinite loops". Title... I just find it weird that so much information is hidden by words like "tremendously", which varies in value from 1 thing to the next, while perks like spinechill tell you exact value. Why cant you just tell me that Swing chains slows survivors by 3% per survivor asleep? In the last few days I have had a half dozen matches where I kill 3 survivors and am waiting for the hatch to open with the last survivor, and both of us are spamming the action key so it’s really up to chance. Half of them I close it, the other half they jump in. I can’t hit them or that guarantees they get the jump. I've noticed an ever increasing rise of players DCing more and more within this month alone than I've ever seen previously. Without fail, majority of my matches once I down a Survivor for their 2nd or 3rd Hook, they DC, or they DC when I mindgame them or outmaneuver them in a chase. So someone explain some ######### to me.... I was playing a killer and he wasnt a great chaser but not horrible. He hooked me after 2 gens got finished not to shabby. Camped me I escaped, then he tunneled my teammates after every unhook. As in like stop chasing to go to unhook so (shows real skill there) to rehook them. Making them DC so really great two left. Since survivors are allowed to escape even when they haven't completed a single objective. Why wouldn't the Killer have a similar mechanic ? I believe those that are under Nurse and Spirit is Hillbilly, Freddy, Huntress, & Demogorgon (if play him well) in that order. The reason for Hillbilly being the highest is because of how his power is easily countered by survivors like destroying portals, doing gens/ being awake, and running out of your ability if the survivor outplays your hatchets. Don’t run to your gate of choice, (scratch marks will ruin your plan) then once the killer checks on it bring it to 30% then when the killer checks again open it once the killer leaves. This usually works for me but there are some special cases like: Does the killer have whispers? Is it Haddonfield where gates are usually too close? It's just gonna encourage people to "waste" pallets and this is already a big issue in solo Q with all the selfish potatoes who drop shack pallet in the first 20 seconds while not even being injured. The bloodpoints for window vaults on the other hand is good, this promotes to use more windows and be economical with pallets. Just over 300 hours on killer, play LF (I know) a lot and on my best days I hit rank 8-10 (anyone else who can do better I'm surprised unless they use other killers to keep their rank low then post awesome photos of how they are awesome at LF at rank 3). I haven't play this game in a few months. Just came back to it. I cannot figure out how people loop killers. I was decent at it before, but now I can't even loop baby killers. Out of frustration I just dc the moment I get caught. Not that I am mad at the killer, but myself for my own incompetence. Billy's chainsaw attack either needs to be used on charge or have a cool down, I can only loop so much until im terrorized by a 1 shot that doesnt discharge until i mess up. The fact that this has been in the game since the start is just not right to do. I keep reading it all over the forums: "NOED is such a crutch perk because it rewards the killer for being bad", and I believe this can't be further from the truth. You, as a killer, can play good and still have the 5 gens completed, specially if you're using low-tier characters. I've seen this so many times and it's very annoying. I just had a game where my obsession kobe and I didn't wanted her to pick up again (she was last alive, while the 3rd was on the hook). I had to slug her for a minute to be sure DS wont strike me. In the match result she didn't had an obsession perk. Yet two others in the game had DS. @Peanits are you guys aware of this?
