What does it mean "one shot down" on Plague?

Can someone explain me? She doesn't have anything like chainsaw or huntress Iri.head.

  • If survivors don’t cleanse then they’re broken all game so they’re on one hit down.

  • If she uses her Vile purge (the green vomit) you run the risk of getting to full sickness which is when the survivor starts puking. It also means your in a broken state till you cleanse at a fountain (you'll then return to uninjured state)

Although by doing so the fountain becomes unusable for others to cleanse and the plague now can activate her Corrupt Purge at that fountain. (This is a black/red vomit) which injures you if hit but is not a one hit down unless you happen to already be in the injured state.

Edit: if you do remain sick and dont cleanse and she either meele hits you or happens to use corrupt purge on you while fully sick you will be knocked into the dying state. (This can be referred to by some people as a one hit down)

  • Some people seem to get confused and think Corrupt Purge is a one hit down. That's the only time I've heard people say it about her.

Exactly, that's why I am confused. Corrupt is not generally one hit down.

  • A lot of survivors don't cleanse so when the "idiot teammate" cleanses and Plague gets her Corrupt Purge they get "one shot."

It's a shame these people don't know better and keep arguing "no cleanse" is the only way to beat Plague.

  • Corrupt can be a one hit down to broken survivors that don't interact with the killer all game.
