Why is the discussion seemingly so one sided on this subject? The overwhelming majority of unfun strats being criticized belong to killers (tunneling, camping, ect.) and survivors don't get scrutinized for their cheesy tactics (gen-rushing, infinite looping, etc.). So the main argument is that a lot of survivor favouring things used to be in the games and the devs patched them out, which is a fair argument to make but that's ignoring the huge part of "killer changes" for the benefit of survivors. Now you're thinking that she gets overshadowed my most other Killers. But lets look: Exceptional chase times Mindgames and scare factor due to fear of setting off a trap; enhanced with addons Great map pressure due to teleportation Small terror radius and lots of synergy. Time for some self awareness, what would your biggest flaw as a player be in this game For me as a killer: my accuracy of my attacks, i tend to be way to eager with my swings and miss hits i really shouldn't be missing As a survivor: my poor reaction speed. I don't want to make any calls yet, but I am fairly certain Ruin is dead except for Endgame builds. Corrupt and Pop are the next best thing. I've been seeing it a lot since starting the game. Either a killer will kill me and then call me crap for not looping well enough, or a survivor will escape and just tell me I suck. I think the title speaks for itself. However, I am curious as to the communities opinion on the current state of the exit gates. In my opinion, I think the gates currently favor survivors too much in high ranks in that they can be 99% and left at that state for as long as the survivors desire. Seriously, I know it's the cool thing to say but people literally copy paste that nonsense. End game chat against a trapper he said "gen rushing is sooo fun," and yes he had been using Ruin. I asked politely, "instead of doing gens what should we have done?" and there was never a reply. Keep in mind we basically unhooked each other instantly, healed each other and then worked on gens. So, I've been awhile for a few Months and recently returned (can't seem to entirely quit on my love for DBD) and picked up the Cursed Legacy dlc. I def want to try out Oni eventually, atm focusing on other goals in DBD, but wanted to dump a couple hundred thousand Bloodpoints into him, since I'd be maxed out on Bloodpoints otherwise. Would killers attempt to injure multiple survivors or just try to get the first survivor they see on the hook as fast as possible? As killer rank 11,12 then 13 I have played without Ruin. I'm not bothered about 4k or pipping but want to have fun as killer and knew there is no chance I'm running the new perk when released with what is being called Ruin. Roughly I was matched as expected mainly against 4-6 ranked survivors who without Ruin ran me ragged and the game was over before I knew it. I really enjoy playing survivor, it's a nice change of pace from being killer all the time and some chases can be absolutely exciting. Plus hiding once in a while is fun.
