I gotta be honest, I still overall like the chapter and all of that but a lot of the hype and excitement was without a doubt taken out of it. I gotta be honest, with the last few chapters being teased weeks early or even revealed months beforehand with some certain chapters, a lot of that excitement just gets sucked out when they do that but, it sadly seems like how BHVR wants to do things now. It seems like they're doing it earlier and earlier when a chapter doesn't meet their expectations. :/

In all seriousness though, sure, if they'd ever do a crow plush I'd probably get one. Kind of shocked actually that they don't expand the merch store more just in general.

I honestly fully agree with this, I think that if someone is just standing around doing legit nothing, then, after 5-10 seconds, you should be able to pass through them. Quite a few other games do that and I think DBD, if they can, really should implement a system like that.

It's not always about how close the content is to being done(a lot is though) but, sometimes, it's just about having constant back and forth conversations with the IP holders. Seeing as how the Stranger Things chapter initially released with quite a bit on launch day, they probably talked a lot with Netflix for, skins, the way the base characters look and Demo's power and how Hawkins lab would look. That said though, I still mainly think the reason for the latter release because just how much content was in it. We had three characters for the first time, multiple cosmetics and a map.
Honestly, the more and more I think about it, the more I just realize how much I miss that chapter being open for anyone to buy because it really was up there as one of the best. :(

Skins are not a full killer, so people citing Mr. Puddles and the Legion mascot skins as examples to justify Springtrap is a big swing and a miss.
And yes, I am busted, I never played much FNAF. But I have seen all of the games played through (except the new one, which is by all accounts a steaming pile), and been subjected to more Markiplier fnaf vids than anyone should ever have to be. So I am familiar.
One common trap people fall into is the inability to wrap their head around the notion that someone could be familiar with a thing that they love, but hate it. Believe it or not, but people can know a ton about fnaf and still not be able to take it seriously.
A what constitutes "deep" is subjective, and I think fnaf is as deep as the kiddie pool. I promise you that what seems deep or profound changes as you age, though that can get clouded by nostalgia (see Star Wars).
But if Springtrap ends up in the game, I'll live. I won't buy him, and will actively cringe when I go against him, but I'll keep on keeping on.
My opposition is mostly based in my belief that there are many, many more deserving options out there.
But trying to set my biases aside, I just don't think it will happen, for reasons outside of those argued about here.

Nah, couldn't disagree more. I've seen all chapter ideas get dunked on a bit. I've seen stuff like, "Candyman is just a boring guy with bees with one mediocre movie", Pennywise has his crowd that says "we don't need anymore clown characters, we already have the one and if it's that new version I'm not buying it" and, even Alien has their "no, this is too Sci-Fi for DBD, doesn't fit in the slightest."
Which, I've said this and always will, I'm very open when it comes to possible chapters in the future. I don't really care all too much where they come from as long as, by the end of the day, they're fun and creative to play or go against. Unless it's Jeepers Creepers, ######### Jeepers Creepers.

For licensed stuff, there's a lot. The Xenomorph, Death Angles from A Quiet Place, White Spikes from Tomorrow War and Pumpkinhead to name a few. For original stuff though, the big main two are a giant Spider type and a Werewolf. :)

It's probably going to be a Killer, Survivor and no map. If there IS a map then, they've def had a shake up in their chapter schedule.

I honestly really loved House of Ashes, it's hands down the best in the DP anthology so far. It just had a very fun time with itself and plus, Jason and Salim are the standout characters from that game. To add onto that, the Vampire designs were fantastic IMO and I'd love for them to be added somehow. This all being said, I think they're crossover has been "filled" by Monsters and Mortals which I'm also excited for. Hopefully one day we could see this though, it's probably FAR easier to license that property then Until Dawn sadly.
Also, happy to see you're back, the poll section hasn't been the same without these. :)

I'm pretty excited for it as I do prefer the licensed chapters over the original ones(the licensed IP's are really the only things keeping me still playing honestly) and, I'm not even a big fan at all of the Ringu/Ring stuff. I do however like Sadako and I'm VERY curious on just how they're going to make this work in game.

I'm going to be a absolute cheater and say two of them. I've been dying to see a Spider of any kind and a Robotic killer as well since the start of me playing. So, either of those two I'd be 100% down for. :>

Legit, anything from the Warhammer series. Especially the 40K universe. Man it would be so badass to be able to play as a member of the Tyranid species, hopefully one day, a game allows you to do that.

Won't lie, after spending so much time with the new animations, I've grown to love them and, personally, think they're better then the old ones. That said though, I love seeing them add new animations so, more of those is always appreciated. :)

I know I'm making a comment afterword's BUT I did think of another couple, another movie and game. For movie, if they ever did want to try and get a anime chapter into the game, I think Perfect Blue would probably be up there as one of the best picks. For a game that I don't think is even mentioned at all anymore is The Suffering, now THAT would be kind of crazy to see.

I actually quite like going against him, mainly because both him and his zombies make me think a lot about my positioning and where I'm going. Plus, blinding zombies is quite satisfying.

I don't know if it's a "obscure" pick but I think a very underrated pick is probably Pumpkinhead. If we're looking at it from a video game perspective, I also think a very under picked franchise is Little Nightmares. Though, to be fair, I think LN would be extremely hard to transfer over to DBD.

Haven't heard of Horror Legends before. After watching a trailer for it, it def looks rough but, it's not even in a 1.0.0 state yet so, I'll give it some slack. I'm also guessing since the last update was on Dec 19th, it looks like the game has been abandoned. It's always a shame whenever any aysm game goes that road. :/

At this point in time, my top three chapters at this point in time are F13, Alien and FNAF. I got my other dream chapter, Resident Evil. :)
As long as DBD continues, a lot more licenses are going to be added so, hopefully everyone gets their dream chapter.

I don't mind the map because I've played way too much of the RE games so I know the map quite well. That said, it should NOT have been a 1:1 recreation, it's just FAR too large for DBD standards.

I feel as though the gen speeds are fine but, if they were increased I'd also be fine with that. Not something way over the top though, maybe increasing it to 2 minutes(I believe the gen is 80 seconds?) so, it would make a impact but not make the game last double the time. I feel like one of the draws of DBD is the fast nature of it so, I wouldn't want to feel like the game is getting dragged out for too long.

If you're talking about the corn maps specifically, they added new sounds to it when you first load in. I don't know why but, I'm guessing it's supposed to represent the animals Billy tortured on his farm which... is quite disturbing honestly.

I've always loved horror. I still remember watching things like "Creature From the Black Lagoon" when I was super young... I might've also watched Freddy vs Jason when I was about 6 but, let's not tell anyone that ok? ;)

I'm just going to be open about this one, NOED I think does need a change but, not a outright nerf. I've seen people say try it out in a token based system and, I agree. I feel you could still keep it a very strong perk but, you'd have to really earn it in a way that current NOED feels like, to quite a bit of people, just a "crutch" perk.

I do, without a doubt, think the nerf was justified. That said though, personally, I think she's still a VERY strong killer and probably still even in the top 3 and no, at this point, I don't think we should see that dust change being put in, now THAT would be overkill imo.
