Clowns power isn’t slowing survivors down, it’s tricking survivors into going where Clown wants them to go. Trappers power isn’t bear traps, it’s making survivors paranoid about where they run. Hags power isn’t phantasms, it’s making survivors take a really long time traversing the map. See where I’m going? Keep it going.35 comments 431 views last activity

So we saw brief footage that Clown will still have his regular pink Cloud, switch out a bottle that emits a white gas cloud, and if 1 of those bottles is quickly thrown into the gas cloud of the other, we get a yellow/orange gas cloud. I wonder what they’ll do. Clearly mixing the 2 is likely to have a more powerful effect than what Clown currently has with his regular tonic. What does everyon37 comments 583 views last activity

Just give it a try for a few matches. It’s a fun deviation from the usual meta that can work extraordinarily well. I think we greatly overestimate the amount of survivors out there that actually never ever get caught out by Overcharge or Huntress Lullaby. The key here is that any failed Overcharge skill check is an instant 21% regression (10% + Overcharge 5% + HL 6%). But the regular additiona29 comments 841 views last activity

Like randomly running Calm Spirit and the very next match is against Doc. Or running No Mither + Iron Will for giggles, and the very next match is a Stridor Spirit That never ever finds you. In another post I said how I started running TTS + Undying, and suddenly the next dozen matches straight after running this had OoO users. My glee could not be contained. Thought we’d get something news wise as a Christmas gift. Slightly off topic: I’ve been having fun mixing up my (Santa) Clown slugging/anti heal build. Coulrophobia, Sloppy, TTS, Undying. Even for SWF teams TTS + Undying is still a major nuisance. Beautifully, by sheer coincidence, when starting this build, instances of OoO appeared in almost every match (genuinely this time, not because Undyin23 comments 221 views last activity

Lol. Like seriously. I’ll stress for part of the match when I Occasionally use Undying by thinking “oh man, THREE OoO USERS!!!” Takes me a while to remember “Oh yeah, that’s just what Undying does”.5 comments 81 views last activity

I’m really sick of the lack of grey matter between survivors heads since the introduction of Undying. How many more mechanics/perks need to be introduced into this game before survivors stop ignoring dull totems?! Here’s a typical summary of how dumbly frustrating a lot of my matches are since Undying: Test first gen to see if Ruin is in play. See how I and the other survivors go in doing rep82 comments 1,361 views last activity

I absolutely despise the experience playing as them with a controller now. I’m still bewildered how I even got the Adept at all. Luck I suppose. The high volume of missed pounces because of how easily Victor is dodged by survivors is mentally breaking me, and I regret investing BP beyond simply unlocking their teachables. I’ve watched videos. For me, as Clown, I STILL to this day cackle hysterically whenever a survivor leads a chase back to a hooked Survivor, probably because they think they’re about to be clever by doing a BT save, but instead they go for the unhook, bottle to the back, scream, and now I’ve grabbed them. It just never gets old getting grabs this way.6 comments 71 views last activity

I find it absolutely glorious when the survivors manage to finish all repairs, yet I still get a 4K and 4 iridescent emblems. I didn’t even give them the chance to 99 either gate. So i’m Santa Clown. Perks are Bamboozle, Brutal Strength, Fire Up, PGTW. I’d usually go brown or entirely add on-less, but the lobby had me suspicious it was going to be a tough red rank team, so chucked on Flask of Bl4 comments 91 views last activity

Surge doesn’t proc/go on cool down if there are no affected gens in the vicinity. Oppression however DOES go on cool down upon kicking a gen EVEN if no other additional gens get affected by it because they have no repair progress or are already fully regressed. With an 80 second cool down this absolutely needs to change!4 comments 91 views last activity

You can all complain about slugging all you want, but the truth of the matter is the way this game is designed means at red ranks (even purple ranks) a killer has 3 choices when it comes to approaching load out and match strategy. 1) Slow repairs down as much as possible in a literal, direct way. 2) Find as many ways as possible to keep survivors that are out of a chase either indisposed or a89 comments 2,661 views last activity

If the next killer power is another that survivors can just sidestep or zig zag, I’m going to screamI can’t take it anymore, and it’s exactly why I persist with Clown the way I do, because this nonsense doesn’t work against him because of his AoE. I get the impression that when designing a killer, that how it will be played on console takes very little consideration at all. Perhaps even none. It’s been a concerning trend since Stranger Things (with the exception of Oni), that all a survivor n72 comments 7,891 views last activity

Please zombie Jesus, how are you minimising missed pounces on a controller? It’s becoming infuriating against red rank survivors that anywhere from 50% of the time in a match, to 100% of the time in a match that survivors dodge pounce all to easily. I’ve tried tips like moving backwards a bit while charging to stop losing track of the irritating zig zagging survivor, but they’re often able to20 comments 1,041 views last activity

Seriously. Right now with the amount of keys popping up in the lobbies, i’ve been equipping Spinning Top in conjunction with Franklins. Those survivors don’t waste any time getting Victor off once they realise he caused them to drop their key. And when I’ve automatically switched back to Charlotte I head straight to the key drop zone. Guess who I find returning?0 comments 61 views last activity

I normally advocate Blindness. That it isn’t as weak as most claim, and can still be a nuisance to SWF under particular circumstances (such as relying on an OoO user to provide them all their info) I cannot however understand how only 15 seconds of Blindness after Victor has been removed is meant to be strategically useful. I wish the devs could provide some of the circumstances they brainstor2 comments 101 views last activity

This has been a long needed change, and provides a lot of benefit to both sides. A mori can now be an animation both sides enjoy without it feeling like a survivor got cheated. Please, no “whataboutism” regarding keys as that’s an entirely different topic. There should be no further reason now for “error: match cancelled due to a player disconnecting before loading” other than a genuine bug boo32 comments 351 views last activity

Why did it get the range increase instead of fixing the issue with it functioning correctly to reduce the rarity of items?! Why would they change it like that?! Or could they not fix it properly, so it gets a range increase instead? If they couldn’t find a way to fix it, then how come they’ve been able to get Plunderer’s Instinct to work as intended for all these years?8 comments 131 views last activity

I’m getting a little pissed at the amount of killer powers lately whereby all a survivor needs to do is zig zag or 360 erratically in order to be untouchable by that power. It’s getting tiresome trying to either Pounce, Lethal Rush, PoTD, Shoot, Shred, or Purge and it simply never touching a Survivor that does this. What’s most infuriating is that it’s far too easy for survivors to do. In Victo27 comments 331 views last activity

Now that I’ve got Adept Twins I chucked on BBQ to fast track the grind for more perks. The aura reveal works, but I’m not getting the post match bonus BP. Anyone else experiencing this?3 comments 41 views last activity

I got the Adept Twins trophy today. Feels good. Particularly because, ironically the match before getting the Adept was the most awful, despondent, miserable match I had experienced so far since playing as Twins since their release. I achieved this at rank 5, against red ranks btw. Yellow mori is underrated. Want to save face against a suspicious looking Survivor team without lobby dodging? So I went from being bullied to starting to dominate. I’ve even had games where I snowball so hard in the beginning of the game that no gens get done, and I’m still only using Coup De Gráce, Hoarder, and Oppression. Not since finally understanding and refining Clown have I felt so menacing in a chase. Sure there’s the odd kidnap here and there, but it’s genuinely not been as harmful on my abilit21 comments 181 views last activity

Yes that’s 3 whole perk slots just for a comparable amount of near constant gen slow down and regression, but my gosh is it super effective. And there’s little the survivors can do to combat it other than hope they still have enough time to finish a gen before you as killer return, or set off Surge or Oppression again. I’ve been pairing this with Hoarder for extra info (when it works). Basemen46 comments 2,081 views last activity

It talks about party bottles and changing the afterpiece antidote. Thoughts and speculations? I thought it was just Charlotte. That she just moved in a clunky way tricking my brain into thinking she moves slow. But after getting pissed off with how merciless insecure survivors are being I went back to Clown and Doc, and they also feel very slow and sluggish. PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING! I think it’s necessary, and the right time for our community, the devs, and whomever they are answerable to, to come together to openly discuss what THEY want to get out of DBD, so that WE can get what WE want out of DBD. The current roadmap and scheduling is seemingly far too ambitious as evidenced by the latest chapter and the very confusing patch notes, but my61 comments 1,291 views last activity

This map couldn’t be any more survivor sided, next to Haddonfield!!! No matter how hard you try to control the centre and one side, just one stuff up, and the next thing you know, the map is sub divided, and then you may as well AFK for the rest of the match.20 comments 321 views last activity

When I’ve needed a break from DBD I’ve been playing Days Gone. What a fantastic game this is, and it performs incredibly on PS5. On top of all the great things in this game, The Hordes are a technical marvel. The ones that are 300+ in size are astonishing, exhilarating, and genuinely terrifying.2 comments 21 views last activity

Does anyone know exactly what gets modified when Scrapped Tape is used with one of his Electrodes? Yeah I know Scrapped Tape isn’t great, but I’m curious nonetheless. However I can’t seem to figure out what’s actually being changed when Scrapped Tape is altered by an Electrode. Does it: Increase the size of the ring? if so is the shock area/width increased, or is the middle “dead zone” large3 comments 111 views last activity

Dragon’s Grip, Iron Maiden, MYC, and Overcharge. Exposed if you touch a gen I kick, and your location is still given to me even if you succeed the Overcharge skill check. There are a flood of “they’re weak”, “they’re unfinished” posts, but what about an objective view of things/advantages on what they can do better than other killers? Please, refrain from time wasting sarcasm. I’d really like to only be reading responses from players that actually had a “ok that’s cool” moment, or were able to formulate a unique strategy with them, or unexpected perk synergy. I’m tired of hook camping Leatherfaces. More importantly I’m tired of teammates that actually validate why a Leatherface should continue to do it. I’ll approach for the save, but if it’s clear that he isn’t leaving, I’m sorry I know it sucks for you on the hook, but I’m jumping on a gen and won’t attempt again. I just chucked one on just for the hell of it, even though usually when I do nobody else has used a map offering anyway. So I’m survivor, I put the Sacrificial Ward on and the only other offering that pops up at the offering screen was Mary’s Letter. Straight away my mind goes “Oop. We got either a Doc or a Ghostface.” I was wrong. It was Scratched Mirror Myers. We spawned on Blood Lodge.6 comments 81 views last activity

Both of these perks are divisive, with many viewing these as bad perks. Most of those feelings stem from the fact that so many use these perks purely on their own. This a poor way to use these perks. They’re meant to be “insurance” for in the event a toolbox or med kit runs out of charges. Saboteur: this perk should be used with a tool box. It’s not like I suck at skill checks. Been playing almost 3.5 years now. But I DO like to play stealthy, and hate hate HATE when I do accidentally flub a skillcheck. Every time the survivors finish repairing a generator, gain a token. For each token gained your lunge distance is increased by 8%/10%/12%. Missed attack cool downs from a missed lunge are increased by 50%.
