Don't rush the first unhooking. Seriously. If you don't want us camping, and you don't want us "Tunneling" don't be all up on us whenever the hook is happening. Why would I run across the map to defend gens over there, if you are literally right here. I don't mean to camp, I don't mean to tunnel, I'm just saying. Why would I do anything else, if you are offering it up on a platter for me. T0 comments 51 views last activity

I would shut it off. I like soloq, I don't want to coordinate on comms. Thank you very much.26 comments 421 views last activity

Ace in the Hole. I'm running it right now and just pulled 2 purp keys out of it. You can also just get general value out of it by pulling good items that might change the game if well used. Pretty good perk I'd say.5 comments 191 views last activity

What if instead of just a 2% bonus to speed, what if it also gave a 2% bonus to everything across the board. 2% increased recover rate, 2% increased wiggle speed, 2% increased luck, 2% increased heal speed, 2% increased repair speed. Just a whopping 2% to everything.17 comments 361 views last activity

So I was just playing Nurse for fun, a small gimped out loadout and I wasnt destroying stuff but I also wasn't trying to. It felt the whole time like if I ever decided to turn the speed up on this bad boy we'd be cooking with smoke, and that's when I realized that when I'm just patroling around, just using my power for chase then things are pretty chill but if I started throwing aura reading per0 comments 21 views last activity

I know that after match communication is a hot topic, and a lot of people claim lots of toxicity. I however, really enjoy chatting with players after matches, and I play a lot of crossplay and so can't communicate with xbox and ps players. So I had an idea. What if we had like a small pool of emotes we could pull from to convey some sort of message, such as GG or a laughing emoji or something.1 comments 41 views last activity

The Desperate attempt to figure out how I'm supposed to win, the throwing everything at rhe wall to see what sticks, equipping Left Behind because it was your best hope for escape. Good times. The absolute bloodbath. The dizzying power fantasy. The all you can eat buffet. So much fun.6 comments 11 views last activity

I finally gave up on trying to get any real value out of DS, and so began running Power Struggle, and I've had a surprising amount of value come from it. Just go down near a pallet with a hook on the other side. As a Killer, I've taken to intentionally carrying Survivors through pallets, to give those brave souls a to chance to get a power struggle off. "It's your last chance bro. So last night I played a couple of games as Killer, and during them, man I was smashing the Survivors. Felt bad, like I was playing new players and the last match, I think I was legitimately playing new players. Then I switched to Survivor and that experience wasn't much better, my team mates seemed like they couldn't even hold W against the killer, they were all going down so fast. Now this wa7 comments 101 views last activity

So far the best I've been able to deduct is it is best used to cause 10secs of blind and exhausted. I figure the best way to do this is by first, injuring a survivor. It then affects the survivor who is healing, so either someone healing themselves or someone healing someone else. I figure the best way to catch someone healing is Nurse's Calling. Secondly, I figure I should "pop" it on them w5 comments 101 views last activity

And I don't think it's a longer stun. Currently the perk is completely outclassed by OTR. I have a suggestion that impacts how it activates. I say it should be unlocked by maybe getting an unhook or something, and once unlocked you can activate it once whenever you like while being carried. Maybe once unhooked it isn't canceled by a conspicuous action, but rather a generator getting repaired15 comments 131 views last activity

Just not the second chance you're thinking of. Decisive Strike is a second chance at doing whatever it was you were trying to do, before you were downed. Things such as, vaulting a window, or dropping down with Balanced Landing. Decisive Strike is an opportunity to finish what you were doing, which was hopefully putting something between you and the killer and getting away. If you were in t11 comments 131 views last activity

Placed the trap here, but really had to work to get it to place the trap icon to place the trap. Once it was placed, I was unable to pick it back up, though I could step into it and trigger it.0 comments 11 views last activity

So I been "maining" Trapper for quite awhile now, and I've had a pretty good build that I've been using for awhile now but decided I wanted to switch it up a little bit, and boy is what I came up with a doosy, and wanted to share it with yall. So it used to be my opinion that Corrupt Intervention was a instant buy for Trapper, 2 minutes to get completely set up but I really wanted to try someth1 comments 41 views last activity

I dont think the grind is bad, I think that it more opens up the pool to play whatever character you want, but I feel it could use one improvement. I would recommend giving some weight to the characters personal perks in their blood web. That way, say I wanna use that perk but I don't have it either unlocked, or tiered up on another character I am encentivized to play on the character who's per0 comments 21 views last activity

The ability to place short term minions, Ala nemesis but they have short life spans and only last a little while. I find caging survivors into areas, or driving them into zombies really fun and being able to tactically place roaming minions who can damage the Survivors for a short time to sound really fun. It's like placing trappers traps, but they move around and don't stay for long. Could be0 comments 11 views last activity

So I was thinking about this tile the other day and realized, you are supposed to jump into a locker here and make the killer pick a locker to open and then burst out and hop that window during their animation. Has anyone ever done this? I've never seen it done before. Gonna give it a shot tonight if I can.6 comments 101 views last activity

Someone posted a video awhile back where it sounded like their Survivor said #########, and the other night I was playing as Kate and I swear on my mama that I heard her mutter ######### under her breath while hiding from the killer. If this is something that really happens, I thoroughly enjoy it.3 comments 81 views last activity

DeadByDaylight.log WHAT TO ADD IN THE DESCRIPTION Example Step 1 : Boot the game Step 2 : Play as survivor in a public match against Pyramid Head Step 3: During match, I was downed and hooked. I waited a long while until I was about to lose my hook state, and took a chance at unhooking and lost it, moving into 2nd hook state. I was rescued and as I got off hook pyr1 comments 21 views last activity

Don't use this build. Off the Record, Bond, Leader, Overcome. With this build you will be "playing forward", letting your team mates focus on repairing the gens while you keep the killer busy. You need to rely on your bond to keep informed of all events happening around you. Once a team mate has taken a hit, you are going to attempt to pull the killer off of that Survivor and take the aggro o1 comments 211 views last activity

We need to analyze exactly what our game plan is here. So let's consider how a chase goes down. We are gonna consider an entire chase as being the distance, and time you can waste with two full health states. So it should look like this -------------> Hit one -------------> Hit two Chase Chase Now the distance and time killed is going to be dependent upon your12 comments 361 views last activity

So one big thing I think about the change to Mettle of Man, is they took its combo with Dead Hard away, now you can't combo them because of the way Endurance works. However, I think what happened is they made is a sort of replacement for Dead Hard. Dead Hard is activatable, and besides the exhaustion it's available all the time, MoM though you have to unlock but once you do, it's guaranteed.0 comments 31 views last activity

So just spitballing, take a protection hit, heal, take another protection hit, now you have endurance and can tank a second protection hit. I dont know.26 comments 311 views last activity

At the very least it should be something that you give to another Survivor, rather than something you equip to help yourself. Being able to buy another 34 seconds on hook for a Survivor getting camped AT LEAST buys the Survivors more Gen repair time. The best case scenario on this perk being good is if there are two hooked Survivors, you could run passed one to give them Kinship, while you run6 comments 161 views last activity

So Killer Instinct isn't counterable, it isnt an aura reading mechanic so Distortion and Off the Record can't counter it. IMO, it's what makes Legion really strong because you almost can't hide from Legion once he gets started. Now the thing is, maybe it's just fine, maybe it shouldn't be counterable. What good is Legion if he can't detect you because Distortion is popping? What about Nemesis17 comments 141 views last activity

So my wife and I were watching the movie "The Wretched", which BTW is The Hags cinematic debut, and this dude shows up outta no where and kinda saves the day and my wife was like, "How did he know they were there?" And I said, "Probably some aura reading perk, Kindred or something" She didn't get it but I thought it was funny and wanted to share with other people who would have gotten it.1 comments 31 views last activity

Go play Killer with Monitor and Abuse and learn how to manipulate your terror radius. You don't need 100% silence to not get caught, you need to learn to stay away from the Killer.4 comments 61 views last activity

This should be your baseline build to escape trials. Bond, Saboteur, Kindred, Off the Record. This is pure information, everything you need to avoid the killer, make plays and get out alive (at least survive to end game) Saboteur looks like a strange addition but it gives you a lot of information, such as whether the killer is running Scourge Hooks. If they are not, then it tells you round ab10 comments 141 views last activity

Due to Scourge Hooks. You may not be able to stop the hook, but you can definitely stop the Scourge Hook. No Floods of Rage, No Gift of Pain, No Pain Resonance. You can completely shut down their game plan, and if you're really lucky, they might even lose the carry because the Survivor squeaks out. You could possibly couple it with Break Out and maybe Mettle of Man to get stacks and help the4 comments 61 views last activity

I have been running Empathetic Connection - to bring injured survivors to me Aftercare - to get visual on everyone I've healed, and everyone I heal can see me. Boon: Silent Step Boon: Dark Theory - synergizes with Silent Step to allow you to speed around the map with no worries. I know you probably get it all the time, and have already reworked Freddy but to be fair, Freddy ######### sucks and needs to be reworked. I never had the joy (or pain? Me and my two friends qued up for a game and we got some damn soloq in our match who did nothing but the objective all game long. Me and my 2 friends just kept continually throwing ourselves at the killer trying to harass them, and the killer kept downing us! I couldn't believe it! All the while, this soloq is across the map, safely away from the killer doing the objective! Then when they fin9 comments 171 views last activity

So my standard, get-out-of-the-match-safe build includes Unbreakable to avoid slugging, but I was playing as Jonah and decided to swap out Unbreakable for Boon: Exponential to see how it worked. The following 3 downs over the course of 2 games I was able to get myself up utilizing it. Imagine my surprise. So lets discuss Boon: Exponential. So obviously the safest bet is to bring Unbreakable2 comments 221 views last activity

So I was experimenting with Hex: Ruin to see what kind of value you can get from it, and wanted to submit my findings. So I think that the added 10 secs to Gen repair speed kind of translates into a basekit Ruin for Killer. The thing is, this basekit Ruin, combined with the actual perk kind of equates into the traditional Ruin's strength. Now, Hex's are known for being unreliable, they can be25 comments 661 views last activity

What if... Let's say going into a map via normal means just gave the standard ol' variation of the map, but bringing a map offering loaded some variation of the map? Doesn't have to be drastic, maybe a special tile spawns, or some sort of special effect/lighting?0 comments 21 views last activity

So I haven't been able to play as much Killer as I've played Survivor since the patch, and just wanted to give my thoughts. So I was right, Stealth is king. Everytime I load out a killer, I get stomped. Can't find anyone, anytime I do it seems they manage to sneak away unless I really commit to the chase. So, I have to go back and redo my perk load outs and make sure I put in some sort of aura10 comments 191 views last activity

I am satisfied and very happy with the update. I'm having more fun than I've ever had playing DBD. Survivor is fun because I feel like the killer is actually a threat and something I actively avoid when I can. Killer is fun, not having to worry about the survivor BS that is gonna stomp me, I can comfortably change the perk load outs and experiment with different builds. You turn on Off the Record, and Unbreakable. Bam, guess what, they ain't tunneling and they ain't slugging. You got 2 more perk slots to use for whatever you want, but always run OTR and Unbreakable, and bam, no more slugging and no more tunneling.9 comments 101 views last activity

And I'll tell you why. The meta changed. People have begun to figure out, that stealth is king. It isn't worth your time to even begin a chase, it's gonna end with you down. So wait. Listen. Their terror radius approaches. You see them. They are patroling the gens. Wait for them to leave. They leave. You jump on gen. More activatable perks. I bet they needed to depower Survivors to allow room for the stuff they are planning to add. My first prediction for the first activatable perk added... Dash Activatable Perk. Dash forward at 200% speed for 1 second. Applies Exhaustion.12 comments 271 views last activity

Remember, this is a game and you don't have to play. If someone is being skeezy and playing like a garbage person, just give up. Give them hook, end the match and move on. Don't give them the satisfaction, they can choose to not play like that, you can choose to not play at all.10 comments 211 views last activity

So I decided to make a survivor build that tried to cover as many bases as possible, and to be as useful as possible and its seems to be working pretty well and figured I'd offer it up to anyone who might wanna try it. So first you bring OTR as it gives you anti-aura reading, grunt minimalization and a stack of Endurance. So repaired gens are really loud. If you are hiding your grunts, or even just your breathing, being near a repaired Gen can make a huge difference. So next time you're caught injured with no iron will, try ducking back by a repaired gen.3 comments 81 views last activity

So, Desperate Times call for Desperate Measures. The perk clearly has the spirit but it's power could use a change. The power should firstly not be affected by the users health state, just the other survivors (mostly for math purposes, but also as a sign of the user's absolute need to act considering the circumstances) The perk should give +10 healing and unhooking per injured survivor, +20 pe1 comments 21 views last activity

So you get your Endurance, you get your anti-aura reading and you get your iron will all in one perk! You won't need Iron Will because you have an entire 80 secs to hide from killer -> get healed and bam, don't need Iron Will anymore. You won't get radared from it, and you can even still tank a hit if you need. It's really a great perk you can get all kinds of mileage out of. BT is bette8 comments 211 views last activity

So I've always felt that gens speeds were to fast also, and that Survivors should actually focus more on "rotating" gens to keep from getting caught more than just sit on a Gen until a chase starts and then looping the killer long enough for others to finish. Maybe though, just working on a Gen a bit and rotating wasn't a viable option, because Hex: Ruin forced the survivors to stay on the Gen a5 comments 91 views last activity

If you have an item equipped along with add-ons, play a match, if afterward you are out of the add-ons it will still have them equipped but darkened with a 0 showing none left in inventory. Now to unequip something, not just change what you have equipped you have to re-select it. Problem is, the darkened out, equipped add-ons are not listed in the available add-ons, so you cannot unequip it. It0 comments 11 views last activity

So I was looking for information online and wasn't able to really find much. So I was hoping to get some information about Freddy's stealth mechanic. So from what I understand, while the survivors are awake, they cannot see him from a distance but can hear his terror radius, then once he comes within a certain radius he begins phasing in and out of sight. So the other day I was playing and had a quick question about what exactly a particular status effect did. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to quickly check it so I had to move on until after the match. The new Darkest Dungeon 2 has a LOT of status effects also and they are all pretty hard to remember so they have a little screen that will pop up with every effect and its name right there for you t0 comments 11 views last activity
