I mean aside from the fact that those people dced, which is so cringe btw I tought this was the survivor dream you only played two matches against a good killer, (the artist and the twins one), and from what I can gather m1 killers are fun to verse.
Now that being said I think if a killer dcs the survivors should at the very least get a safety pip in any scenario, if the killer dcs late the survivors should keep their points and at that point in the match they should already at least safety pipped, but if the killer dcs early the game shouln't punish survivors for something out of their control.
-
No not really, I enjoy roasting sadako, and yoichi seems like a cool dude, so I'd preffer to dunk on sadako.
-
Ok maybe instadown killers are the exception but any 3 gen strat instatly dies once I present to you CoH, this bad boi will completely make you able to play a 3-gen fully without much risk.

I was thinking, what if the coin was basekit, he would be a fuckton more lethal and reward more skillful shots
Absolutely not, coin is such a good addon it would honestly be actually unbearable, and good slingers would be way too oppresive.
On the other hand I think if you hit a very long range shot the charges on the chain should be increased, so if you hit per say a 18 meter shot your chain will be as resilient as using addons, that way actual skillfull shots get rewarded but they are not too oppresive.
-
I mean I also don't get it, free escape bp are always welcome imo, but his power is honestly pretty boring.
-
Not really, as much as he feels horrible to play, the constant survivor whinning about him has stopped, which is a good thing, now he does need some addons changes (hellshire iron is literally useless) and the tr change to actually get rolled back.
That being said, now he falls into a category most killers fall on, that being, you can be as skilled as you want with slinger, any good survivors will mop the floor with you.
-
Not as often as I desire, I want more easy matches.

They could have made the portrait "corrupted" by the Legacy effect. Or blood, LOTS of blood.
But glitter? Seriously?
That is a new low, BHVR. Even for you.
It gets even lower, the effect isn't even a new asset or something they designed exclusively for prestige, it seems its just the same particles used in the rift huds, so there is that too.
-
Deathslinger, he got his new artritis mechanic, gave him 4 good addons and also gutted his TR and called it a day.

Give any ghostface player, don't matter how good they are, a decent player will loop them for minutes, not a good killer at all.

Oh yeah sure, the no-skill Pinhead. Very low skill Killer lol
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041566#Comment_3041566
No that's actually not true. Now they ADDED RNG to the box puzzles when before there was always one correct box that you had to find resulting in some Pig players camping the final box and using the Iridescent addon.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041282#Comment_3041282
I would rather they give M1 Killers more abilities and things to do. Give every M1 Killer some anti-loop or gen pressure ability. When some Killers are really weak like the Trapper and Clown, you can easily get away with some crazy fun gimmicks and buffs. A decent anti-loop buff for Trapper would be letting him walk over his own traps as much as he wants, he could completely cancel a Survivor using a loop doing this.
Let Clown give people exposed if he hits them with his bottles enough times, give him aura reading with his bottles by default instead of with an addon and make his Clown Shoes basekit too. Make the vision impairment really bad when hit by his bottle and let his bottles stack. Make the start and end of his reload really fast but make his bottle holstering slower because they would stack. Make his Tonic and Antidote. back into one Tonic but make him and his action speeds for vaulting and smashing pallets, picking up Survivors, smashing generators and moving around faster like the antidote. There you go, PLENTY of anti-loop and now he's actually competitive as a Killer.
Imagine how fun Clown would be if he was a very beastly Killer and not just sad.
Care to explain how the change I mentioned is incorrect when even the devs explained it?
-
Aren't they also really easy to loop?, Like thana I get how it can easily stack but for gift of pain and dying light to proc you need to go down, and against m1 killers a good team can just dunk on them without much effort so the only change from now its the additional 2% on thana plus the 10 seconds on gens.
With that being said, this will be a pain to new/inexperienced people who somehow go down against m1 jokes, which seeing as its the majority of the playerbase, I think it should be changed/nerfed as it could be unbearable.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Trapper is needs serious buffs, he is weakest killer from start to today.
Clown needs some map pressure. His anti-loop is decent but he has 0 pressure on generators.
Wraith was okey actually before nerf. Take this nerf back.
Sadako needs some QoL changes and number changes.
Pig. I don't know about this lady. She has great second objective. Maybe it should not be based on RNG. Remove this and she will be better maybe
Idk if people do not read but pig is no longer fully RNG based, she has a pool of attempts, 12 to be exact and each time a survivor searches a box and they don't get the trap attempts are consumed, which means much less RNG, for example if a survivor got their trap off the first search then pig has 11 more attempst meaning the next 3 traps will have one with 3 searches and two with 4 searches, a swf can very easily reduce her pressure knowing this, but a good pig can also play with this in mind.

Why use penance when you can summon the green goddess?
Because plague is a m1 (if prople are not throwing) and therefore she is easy af to loop, unlike other killers that can compete with good survivors and also apply btoken with forced penance.
-
Ok buddy, forced penance has always been good, in fact I think its really underated atm, twins are a very good user of it and slinger in some cases too, but it has never been bad.
-
I will actually disagree, I personally preffer fast pased gameplay and reacting to my opponents hence why I absolutely despise sadako, additionally her tps are clunky af and alert half the map where you are, and the only people who the stealth works on is people with no audio or players with under 20 hours.
I won't actually go into condemn since tbf you have to be as aware as a sponge to get condemned and dense as lead to let her kill you with it on top of it.
With that being said i am against buffing her as roasting her and making fun of how weak she is is very fun imo and when I play survivor its good to just have a power trip when you verse her, so I think she is a fine addition to the game, and she has 2 good perks too.
-
I don't wanna be a hater but why all the lots of fun killers are the easily dunked on by anyone decent at the game? And then the other easily beated ones follow aside from 3, being twins pinhead and trapezoid man.

Odds are the EZ-modo sweat-a-lot crowd will swarm to Spirit the same way the swarmed to her before and others like Forever Freddie or mass lunge Wraith, I believe there will be a surge of Spirits after IW gets destroyed.
I believe its because they didnt expect Blight to be so strong, Im willing to bet if they knew he would be the powerhouse he is they wouldnt have released him this way.
That shouldn't be a problem as current spirit has a giant audio cue that tells you where she is, so you can just camp pallets and stun her even if she can hear you.

I really don't see how removing the skill check from DS would be problematic. It would still need a button press so you can control when to use it.
If people really are so against this then just make the skill check zone bigger.
I play on pc and hit it just fine but I feel bad for console players who seem to have problems with hitting it consistently.
Idc about removing the skillcheck but giving control to the survivor on when to use it is a horrible idea, as you can basically fake not having ds, make the killer carry you to a hook and last second use it wasting way more than even the 5 seconds it has now.

😛 No audio cue tied to aiming m2, canonical reason for being 4.4 m/s (he is wearing a leg brace)
Huntress and Trickster have him beat on the lethality angle and are, for all intents and purposes, more dangerous killers, but I think Deathslinger is safely average. His lack of mobility is exaggerated by the redeemer's limited range, so the only way he can really cover his weaknesses wrt map pressure is through perks or some kind of rework that adds another layer of mechanics to his power.
This is actually a lie, many people don't know but slinger has an audio cue that plays when he aims at you its sort of like a ringing sound, however faint it is in the game and a good survivor can make use of it.

?? he had lethal pursuer, found me first and I ran him for a good 6-8 minutes.
youre stating things that dont relate to the situation.
If what you are saying its correct then you absolutely dunked on them, looping for that long without the get out of jail card that is dh is pretty skillfull, and you probably hurt their ego so the only thing they tought they could do was to tunnel you or camp, but fam you absolutely destroyed that player, you won that match.

That's the only thing they should have done with it, make it not work with undetectable since HoH/Deaf people wont have a disadvantage there since there's no sound for anyone.
I do hope they remove the cooldown though.
If it doesn't trigger against undetectable it has no right to have a cooldown really, I fully agree with this change, it no longer makes stealth killers (meme killers really) more useless but it helps people with accesibility issues, removing the cooldown is the right way to go.

I would not really call it fair when you have to hope that the Nurse-player is bad (aka makes mistakes) to escape.
And no, the Devs dont use Killrates as their only Data. They already nerfed Nurse and before that she already had the lowest Killrate. But obviously this does not mean anything, yet it is brought up in this Forum, even if we know that the Killrate comes from players learning her and especially newer players who are just not able to perform with her (because she is so different from any other Killer in the game).
The reason why they wont ever nerf Nurse in a significant way is because they are scared of the backlash. If we are lucky they remove/nerf Range- and Recharge-Add Ons. But this is the most they would do.
So you are saying that hoping for the other side to make a mistake is the only way to win is bad design, I agree completely, but if nurse deserves a nerf for this, then most map tiles should be nerfed as most m1 killers are in the same situation, as if survivors do not make mistakes they have no possibility of losing.
-
Jack baker is literally a dbd killer already, it actually triggers me how he has been missed twice.
-
If they won they won, the fact that they needed a get out of jailcard to win doesn't change the fact that they won and you lost, and frankly 80% of all survivors will trashtalk after winning, so my advice to avoid trashtalk is, start destroying them so they just leave the lobby as soon as possible.
-
@KingFieldShipper said:
1) Can we just stop with us vs them already like christ. I just don't get posts like this
2) Dead hard was only ever a problem with survivors that, as you said learned "how to play the game" - dead harding for distance requires map knowledge, game sense/situational awareness, timing and people who DHFD know they can greed a pallet or loop because they have dead hard - taking DHFD away doesn't make them any less of a looper - it will make them looping a little bit more safe and maybe prethrow a bit more, and my guess is the people who are really good are going to move to sprint burst - a 99'ed sprint burst in the middle of a chase is incredibly easy to pull off and a lot more frustrating than a dead hard for distance ever was imo
When I DHFD I have never in my life thought any of that, I just do it to get to the pallet/window and extend the loop.

No Killer has been nerfed to a point that they are unuseable, which happened with Iron Will.
Even Deathslinger, who got hit the hardest, is still not that bad.
If slinger is not that bad then so is iron will, both of them have been relegated to the other side being able to counter all of their aspects, why is one good and the other one bad?
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
It does not really have counterplay. It just got dumped into being pointless. I would not call this counterplay.
Deathslinger moment.
-
Still better than currect ds tho?, As current ds also gets deactivated by any action and if the killer downs you they can just wait out ds, new off the record can let you body block certain loops or teamates forcing the killer to hit you, granting a speedboost and the killer cannot ignore it unlike ds.

Fully agreed, deadhard change will make it an actual good perk for people who master the timing, altho some interactions with certain killers should be looked at like removing tricksters full laceration meter or and I can be wrong if some legion addons still make deep wound go down with hits, since it would be BS to get a perfect dh and legion just downs you.

Ah yes, let's make survivor perks utterly useless because they're simply not good enough. How unfair for a perk to be valuable against some killers, while being basically useless against the majority of them if you know how to turn your camera.
Also i literally only run spine chill for vault builds if you truly care, but BHVR killed that too so it doesn't really matter anyway.
I completely agree taking away the vault speed is pretty stupid however a perk that absolutely destroys stealth killers which are already a joke is also dumb, I think they should add the vault speed back and thats all.
-
So it doesn't give you value by just existing? Idk whats really wrong with it, you at least have to be aware on how to use it and not just a free passive.

That's what i was going to ask about, if people are rushing to P3 aren't they losing all those festive and rare items on the first two levels? Seems like a waste on what could be potentially a big let down. I hope it's not though, seems like some are putting in a big effort to do so, so hope they get rewarded well.
Not really if you already had a character high leveled since starting from level 1 makes flans easier to get and bloodwebs cheaper, just in getting dredge from 1 to 50 the second time I got 78 flans

Depends on your build, if you're running all gen regression and survivors are throwing every pallet immediately this isn't necessarily the case.
So if survivors are not managing resources well they might have the small chance to lose?... Idk if im convinced thats good design, as any m1 killer will get destroyed in any scenario in the game if survivors have a little understanding on how to play the game.
-
@Xendritch said:
I actually agree it's a bit overblown how bad Gideon's is I would go there a dozen times in a row if it meant never dealing with real atrocities like springwood, most corn maps, or the hourglass maps like suffocation pit and azarov's resting place.
There are a lot of pallets yeah but once they're dealt with most of the map is pretty unsafe and the map can even be fun if you bring something like shadow dance wraith or bubba and just chew through pallets with ease.
If most pallets have been dealt with in the game, then there is no excuse for survivors to have not finished all gens by then, if and only if they are not playing against nurse.

Yeah but it doesn't make sense to promote a killer, with a event, when the killer isn't fixed and tweaked
One of the biggest events in dbd isnt the hallowed blight? That if im wrong two years ago was released shortly after blight? And had blight related challenges? And even addons?
-
Furtive chase, the perk does literally nothing.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
Maybe they could have it so the perk doesn't light up when you are being actively stalked. Or shrink the cone of activation. If they simply remove its ability to work against undetectable then nobody will ever run it again.
Why not leave it as it is but give it stacks like stake out or diversion, that way you don't get a free pass against stealth killers but you instead earn it, and it still does the same.
On a side note, is any stealth killer in this game actually good?

I love how in the snowmen fiasco people had to suck it up and endure the whole free mettle of man since so many prople were using them as such, meawhile people ask why there is such a hostile actitute in events.

Yeah but FOV on survivor creates even more safe situations for them as they are third person vs killer first person. I have never seen people say they get motion sick on survivor where killer I've seen plenty. Even for me it feels like I'm playing through a magnifying glass.
I agree it gives a bigger advantage as survivor but you cannot add accesibility options to one side and not the other as it feels kind of unfair.

You can say that for every single game out there with an FOV slider
As much as I have avocated for accesibility FOV in dbd grants a very big advantage compared to FOV in other games, tell me any reason why if implemented any survivor player wont up it to max to be able to see over loops and avoid mindgames.

I mean that's every killer and every chase. If the survivors played better. They wouldn't get hit. My point still stands. All you need to do is watch him and see what a Billy is capable of. Vel is very impressive
Not all killers tho, spirit/nurse and blight don't depend on the survivors making mistakes to shine, they depend on the killer player's output, you can get as good as you want with billy, any decent survivor wont be curved in any situation, that same survivor however can go toe to toe with those 3 killers above and the one who plays better will be the winner of the chase.

I'm not bad at billy. But I can't play him in ways actual good Billy's can
Just watched some of his content and just like almost all if not all billies, I see that amost every chainsaw could have been avoided if the survivors played smart, somehow people still hug loops against a billy, and no one is exploting the fact that dh cancels his sprint without hitting you, very inefficient plays on the survivors part, they should be able to force him to be an m1, but they make way to many mistakes on chase.
