Complete 4 gens while using dark sense. As a solo that is LUCK. That was a challenge. Enough said, you also didnt read anything I said as i said me getting a 4k happens, now had 5in a row.
But I'm very experienced, can imagine not so easy or common for all players.
Damn. You didn't read anything I said did you. I clearly said challenges are supposed to be challenging.
I'm very experienced too. That doesn't mean challenges need to be easy for me or anyone else.
-
Yeah it's good. Your not broken long enough to encourage the killer to try to look for you and down you again unless already planned on it. Also allows more time for gens if that's your thing.
For me on killer side if I saw that you had been unhooked in my face I would probably try to get the hit on you even if you had bt since I know about the perk. This would make it so you don't get the health state back without assistance elsewhere.
-
In 40 something games you really saw that much variaty in killer selections. Nice
-
Dc button shouldn't exist the way it is. The only way you should be able to leave a game through disconnecting is if every member on your side agrees or you lose connection. If they want to afk after they don't get their way then let them. They want to unplug the internet fine. If they have an emergency then why would they care if the game is still running or turned off, it's an emergency.
Yes I'm saying the killer can decide to end the game themselves if they feel like it. But there is more of an impact on the experience if one or two survivors dc while the others wanted to play the match.

Theres no luck in this game? Lol okay if you dont get that maps, tiles, pallet spawns, windows are rng and therefore luck of you get a good iteration. That's not even counting possible swf, meta perks, the killer you play which make a huge difference. Some killers even have rng in their powers which is another luck factor.
I'm well versed and experienced in this game thankyou. I have been playing since its release, the game is not balanced and alot is rng which can f you over.
This post doesnt even have to be about me getting a 4k. I have the past 3 matches now point being is challenges out of balance shouldn't exist. I make posts for all players not just my own selfish needs.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2614143#Comment_2614143
Wrong. Should stop assuming.
Saying that completing a challenge comes down to luck is wrong.
Just because you have many hours in something doesn't make you good at that thing.
Challenges that require you to do something that is out of balance should exist. That is why they are called Challenges. Some are meant to be harder then others. Just because some people struggle with them doesn't mean they shouldn't exist the way they are.

If you think you can win every game as any killer because you're good enough then no.
Sure I can 4man slug with nurse and 1hook everyone, silly me for wanting to encourage a better playstyle lol.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2614042#Comment_2614042
Just saying if the games not balanced for it we should probably change it, things based around luck is not a fun experience. I just said it should be made into a 3k not a 4k due to mmr being a thing now. I think that's reasonable. But that challenge is from the first ever tome if I remember right lol, I got it but I often got teams that didnt do gens lol
I'm not saying you will win every game. There is always someone out there that is better then you. If you won everygame, this game would become boring. Silly me for wanting people to get better at the game.
Again you throw luck around as if it is an actual thing in this game. This isn't gambling in the sense of the gameplay. You are either better or worse then the other team.

Love the way you assume they can't play without full meta.
He said he was less likely to win if he was forced to use a "weak/pointless perk". It made him frustrated enough to make a forum post about how he struggles to get a 4k while using a single perk that he doesn't commonly use. So take that as you will.

Once again it's not within the balance of the game. It's not a challenge if it's just luck based.
Challenge does not mean RNG luck.
I like a challenge where my skill is rewarded not a challenge where my skill doesnt matter only luck I get miss matched.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2613990#Comment_2613990
Cool, but ranks mean nothing lol. They're called grades and have no impact. Fact you dont know that means you arent high mmr sorry... but once again that's luck.
How are you so sure you are high mmr? No one knows. Maybe just git gud. The only luck that goes into this game is if you are matched against a team better or worse then you, which is the same for every multiplayer game out there. You lose the game because you are less skilled then the other team.
Sorry you can't play the game without running full meta. If one perk makes all the difference then there is a different issue in play..Maybe that's why you have trouble. Because you rely on perks to make you better or make the decision for you rather then increasing your own abilities.
-
@EntitySpawn said:

Or they can have challenges that match their balance point.
Why though. They are challenges. They are not many to be easy every time.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2613960#Comment_2613960
At high mmr? Debatable without challenges. Being forced to use a weak perk at an unbalanced level and being told to get a 4k when you're only meant to get 2ks.
Not being funny wraith got nerfed, he wasnt even getting an average of 3k and that's before mmr.
Happy to use a bad perk so I can just move on, but be forced to use a bad perk over and over till I may finally get a team weaker than me nope.
No one is forcing you. If you can't complete the challenge move on and enjoy the game in another way.
-
I guess some people don't like playing the game anymore 🤷

@selflessnea If what you're saying was right, dead hard should do like that always. Thank Behaviour it doesn't, and it happens ONLY if the hit gets retired as happened to @elpoh
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2609628#Comment_2609628
But it didn't work like that before it buff, if you used, let's say Shred, on a Survivor that used Dead Hard, you would go through and hit them, which countered it. Now you stop your Shred as if you missed which you didn't happen before and it's unfair as now dead Hard has even less counters than before. Dead Hard was already good, now it's literally "Press E to make distance" cuz you can't get exhausted on the ground anymore (which albeit was unfair, unless it was a Power because they went through and they still should)
The only solution I see to them fixing it in a way you want the powers to work is to just give the survivor i-frames as well as remove collision with the killer.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2609570#Comment_2609570
No, it is unfair. It isn't supposed to eat up Powers like it does with Nemesis' Tentacle Strike, Victor's Pounce or Demogorgon's Shred. It's, like said in the video, mechanically unfair
Nah. It's fair. If you try to hit a target that can't be hit then you miss your hit. The only issue is the tentacle hitting dh instead of a pallet.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2609469#Comment_2609469
Yes, the Perk gives you I-Frames, but it didn't stop Powers before, now it does and leads to some situations where it's uncounterable, like it currently is when using it for distance. There shouldn't be a Perk that can grant immunity, distance and allow Powers to be stopped while being easy to use. It's pure unfair
Again it's not unfair. Killer thinks they are going to get the hit so they swing, survivor dh, Killer misses and goes through missed hit recovery. This is the way it was always meant to be. It sucks that the visual isn't correct but oh well
-
The steel series arctis 7 are nice.

@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2607330#Comment_2607330
But Dead Hard shouldn't deactivate a Killer's power, which it now does. That's the unfair part
But why not. The perk is designed to give you I-frames. Next you are going to say you should be able to use your power through someone who is currently being unhooked
-
Poor carl
-
@Leonardo1ita said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2607031#Comment_2607031
It's not fair, because it provides something that wouldn't have happened if dead hard procced before the hit validation.
What do you mean? It was supposed to work that way even before the hit validation. Killer tries to hit survivor, survivor dead hards, Killer misses swing.
-
@Leonardo1ita said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2606957#Comment_2606957
Peer to peer dbd was before dedicated servers, now how the game worked for almost 2 years with dedicated servers is the way it's supposed to work
Yes I know p2p was before dedicated servers. And dedicated servers is the better method. The hit validation is the way the game is supposed to work. Server sees both inputs and puts out the appropriate output. So when a pig dash attack is supposed to land the pig will swing but the survivor timed their dh correctly cause the swing to miss. So saying the validation isn't fair doesn't make since
-
@Leonardo1ita said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2606927#Comment_2606927
Nope, it didn't do that. With Victor you went through the Survivor and Pig's dash kept going
Victor was never in p2p. What are you talking about? But imo dh in the instances is mentioned to make the killer is going to get a hit and then they get out of the way of the swing. So yeah it should cause the pig to swing during a dash if timed correctly.
-
I'd rather deal with something that works physically and not visually. Stuff working the way it is supposed to should be a bit more important that how it works visually
-
@Leonardo1ita said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2606912#Comment_2606912
It could be abused in a way like cancelling Pig's dashes and other things seen in the video.
Especially the one with Victor, that can be the difference between winning or losing a match
Sounds like they just used dead hard. And I'm pretty sure it always did that. I remember back on p2p the good ole ghost chainsaw hits you would get with Billy.
-
@GamerEzra said:
A lot of people, especially swf's abuse this ''buffed'' Dead Hard. It's just so stuipid.
How do you abuse a perk. And what does swf have to do with it.
-
Honestly they should be toned down a lot. The max turn range during a swing should be fixed. Shouldn't be able to slide all the way around shack to get a hit inside of shack.
-
I mean noed doesn't work if you still have lit totems. Sooooooo

Working as intended? So I see the hit, hear the hit and look down to pick up the survivor but they are not there. I look up and there they are, half way across the map, teabagging from the luxury of a pallet gym.
If that is working as intended then I have to question their intentions.
Obviously to make you frustrated and mad with them. /s
I guess the only real way to make sure rn is to pay attention to your hud to see if you got the down. Also you go through the missed attack cooldown from my experience so you can also pay a bit more attention to that until they implement something more visually noticeable.

The boon was nerfed because killers complained that the totems overlapped. The patch notes outline that. It doesn't matter to have a key anymore because if you're slugged you can't escape through the hatch with a key as the last survivor.
Bruh.
-
They didn't nerf anything but keys really. And boon: COH was only disabled because it caused crashes. Notice we still have shadowstep.

Lets say none of these endgame perks existed, what do you think a reasonable time is if this change actually happened?
Probably about 3+ minutes.
-
If they did that then the egc would need to be longer. Probs around 4 mins with no one downed or hooked. This would be needed due to no way out and remember me.

It is not just camping. Because killer sees the aura of an event gen. So that is the first gen they start patrolling, and the first gen they go to use PGTW. Cause they know survivors wanna do those gens before. Same goes for survivors. When they realized where event hooks are they just run as far as possible to deny you getting event hooks. So it sucks not every gen/hook isn't event special.
@bm33 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2581784#Comment_2581784
Yup, killers get special auras for event gens so they head to them. They did it last year too. Lunar New Year event was great because all gens/hooks were event ones so there was no preventing one side from being able to get their event rewards, players played normal instead of guard the event gen/run away from the event hook.
I seriously think you guys are over exaggerating this. Sure there are a select few that will camp/avoid event objectives but most could care less. Maybe they have a different motive for doing what they do and you are just assuming it's because of the event.
-
Are there really people out there camping event gens just because they are event gens. I find this hard to believe.

These should be fixed in the first patch next week.
They don't do a good job of getting that information out unless you look to social media. They have a Twitter post that you should be able to find on this site that will link you to the reason certain perks/offerings are disabled and an eta on getting them back in the game

Iblove kicking them but I've only gotten haste 1x. How do they work?
The treat pumpkins give you haste. The thick pumpkins give you hinder. And normal pumpkins do nothing. These effects are the same for both killer and survivor.
-
Looks like the game map. So they should already be working on this according to the recent post.

@Dumpstick said:
The game allows for survivors to make a save by delaying the killer on the way to the hook. This is by design and is in the game. It is rare to do so and the killer would have to be incompetent if it keeps happening over and over. Even using the perks and items designed to create opportunities for the save (Saboteur, Breakout and a Sabo Toolbox) it is very difficult to do.
If the Survivor gets a save by body blocking they deserve it. If the killer allowed it to happen he deserves it.
The killer can always use Iron Grasp and Agitation and even Mad Grit if it is such a problem. And in fact Mad Grit builds are deceptively strong there are killers who just go around slugging people while carrying a survivor, it is a valid strategy and is actually a pretty strong strategy.
If you are having problems with body blocking survivors use this build and get 4Ks everytime:
- Agitation
- Iron Grasp
- Mad Grit
- Starstruck
This even works on 110% killers like Huntress but is better on 115% killers. It's that strong.
Survivor carrying speed is the same for 110 and 115% killers. So your build would work fine for either.
Honestly I would remove starstruck from the build as you would get more value from Mad Grit. Also just running starstruck will more then likely prevent people from trying to body block.
-
You just got incredibly unlucky. They have a chance to spawn on every killer/survivor bloodweb each time you level them up. It is really hard to see how you spent 800k and didn't see a single one but that is just unfortunate. These offerings are not tied to any individual character.

None because it's disabled rn :,(
-
I know someone who is 5 years old
-
Does it really work on haunted grounds? The reason I say this is because 9n the killer side the perk "goes on cooldown" for 60 sec to act as a timer. If this is changed by vigil then I feel the display that haunted grounds has been activated needs to change before people start getting accused of cheating more then they already are.
-
New survivor and everyone wants to play them. Also not peak survivor time. I personally play killer when survivor ques get long.

Is pretty obvious it's because when you play your playing solo quene by yourself all these games are 4 man pre made death squad that only play with their group and you'll never meet these players unless you play killer then you'll see them every game
It's not as common as everyone makes it out to be. People just get fixated on one game they lost and can't get over it.

wrong. it is NOT if the lunge and drop are at the same time. It is if the survivor has already dropped the pallet 50% of the way, that means halfway through the pallet drop animation. if you didnt drop the pallet at least halfway, you are going to get hit.
Ive definitely survived times i otherwise wouldve died without this update
Keep in mind this is server sided. So what you see is not necessarily what the server sees
-
You could try to reproduce it on a gen with your friend
-
Generally they are unfun to go against if they are good and know what they are doing. If it's a hag with basement, that is on the survivor. Once you know it's a hag stay away from basement. But most hags are not that great. And can easily be dealt with by having one or 2 people constantly setting off traps in a safe manner
-
They are useful against all types of players to varying degrees. They just are not meta. But perks have to have some effect
-
No. You can't have my no mither
-
I actually encountered my first obvious cheater yesterday. Loaded into a lobby as survivor and saw their name "stand still if you want to be insta healed" (this was showing in game not just on their profile). I just left because I don't want to be associated with that bs
