Honestly the revealed aspect of him just needs to be fixed. It's very iffy on if you are looking at him or being looked at and doesn't make sense on both ends.
Other then that they need to buff his crouch to break toxic survivors legs. Hehe

there are always going to be problems with dc penalties. So why not at least make it more entertaining.
I suggest when a player dc’s they should explode or some other gruesome death animation.
Imagine working ona gen with someone and an iri huntress downs someone nearby. Then your gen buddy's head just blows up.
-
The main reason people say this is because you can't react to when the death slinger is going to shoot. You can only assume he is going to shoot and dodge what you think he is going to do. Most death slingers don't aim down there sights more then a second so him missing his shoot or you juking his shot (however you want to look at it) would be similar to a huntress aiming her hatchet and you juking to the side when you think she is going to throw it.
Its kinda the same thing when trying to dh a fully wound hatchet up close. You are just guessing at the timing and possibly getting it right. Or the killer just messed up and missed.

The Leave Game button is there for IRL emergencies or when you completely bug out in game, so I wouldn't really think there should ever be a time when that is inaccessible to players.
The whole issue of killing oneself on the hooks is a different story - whether or not that's actually an issue is debatable, for me for example I did not notice an increase in this during the time the DC penalties were previously active. And I am not sure that skill checks would help in that situation as people still need to be able to attempt escape.
The Leave game button is still there in a way. You just close the game/turn off the system. If it is an irl emergency your not likely to care that you have to leave the game. There is no penalty timer involved with this.
The skill check portion would only come in the struggle phase so they can attempt to escape on the first phase still.
If you are talking about people giving up on hook so the last person can have hatch, I've gone back and forth on this. I feel the best solution would be to have a button press that is only available after hatch has spawned to allow yourself to die on hook.

I actually like playing Midwich as a killer, I don’t find survivors who hold W more difficult on that map than any other map to be honest. (Holding W is just generally a decent stalling strategy overall, I don’t find it any better on Midwich than other maps though.)
I guess im just thinking of the worst possibility. Kinda like a halo ring w/ 4 LT walls that can be combined in the wrap around

Seems like a good idea for the most part but I think instead of replacing struggling with skill checks, it should probably just be automatic because otherwise they could just intentionally fail skill checks to die anyway right?
Missing the skill checks just makes you die a little faster. You don't insta die you would just lose like 5s on the bar for each missed skill check.
-
The wrap around idea sounds terrible. It would be similar to how on midwich you really just need to hold w through the hallways.

Remember back in the days the experience was fun, now 9/10 games its tunneling, tryharding, toxicity. This just going boring. Why ?
Maybe you just remember mostly only the good games you had back then since you don't care about the bad ones anymore. I bet you are still experiencing the same mentality as back then its just you are more likely to fixate on something that has recently happened and compare it to the past.
-
I can't imagine you seeing map offerings that often. I feel its usually about 1 every 4 games. Even then I don't care about it. They just decided they wanted to get wrecked on a specific map. Haddonfield is the only map offering that needs to be deleted imo. If a survivor plays that in red ranks they know exactly how terrible that map can be.

For some reason whenever Myers grabs me in T1 my game crashes and I have to buy a new computer. Weird

Probs playing a different game. Jk
Actually healing and hopefully splitting up to hit the 2 outermost gens or looking for a key

Hello People of the fog, here are the patch notes for today's update
- We nerfed Pig again
- WE DELETED DISCORD
Spirit has been nerfed- Spirit has been buffed
Spirit Can now see survivors while phasing.
Huntress hatchets now insta down on head shots. Due to hit boxes everything is a head shot.
Killers can now break pallets that have not been dropped.
Killers can now move hooks and gens with a 30 second cool down between moves.
We nerfed clowns bottles to now heal survivors that are injured.
If a claudette stands still for 5 sec she becomes invisible like the wraith.

At rank 19-20 4k's 90%
At rank 13-10 4k's 40%
At rank 10-5 4k's 10%
Judging your games just on 4k or no 4k is a bad mentality. You should look at games as how you did through the match... did you get a lot of hooks, did you kill 2 or 3 people and the last surv got somewhat lucky and found hatch or got a gate open. Just because you didn't get a 4k doesn't mean they are a swf. I would be willing to say that about 75% of your games are either all soloq or duo.
Also, since you did say you only 4k about 10% of your matches in non red ranks shows that you don't have enough knowledge about the killer side of the game. Alot of this will come from just playing. And any killer, no matter how new to the game they are, can get to high green ranks easily. So if you find yourself struggling to stay in purple/red ranks its , again, your lack of skill/play time.

Approaching gens isn’t my issue. I know how to work around that if I’m using a stealth killer.
My problem with Spine Chill is that there ARE in fact many survivors that know how to pay attention to Spine Chill to nullify any attempts at mind games the killer tries at loops that have LoS blocked.
If Thats the case then it doesn't matter which killer(except hag and trapper) you are playing as you will not catch them. This is more of a skill problem and not a plague problem.

It’s not a ridiculous claim at all.
- most survivors these days run Spine Chill.
- Hiding the red stain doesn’t help much. Her height makes her visible most of the time, and even when they can’t see her, the trail of smoke from her censer can still tell them if she has turned around or not. Plus as I said, many run Spine Chill.
Why do you seem so dead set on spine chill being the most op broken perk in the game. If you think someone has it and are sneaking up on a gen dont look at it. If you are in the open going to a gen chances are they saw you before spine chill. It does very little to help in chase. Also how many people do you know that know to look for the smoke over a loop. Very few people would even think about it and you are unlikely to go against players that know this when you play her.

After having a losing streak as killer and seeing many survivors with BT/DS/Deliverance etc, I realized that these are all perks that revolve around the hooking mechanic. Knowing this, I decided to never hook survivors until everyone is slugged and/or have the survivors die from bleeding out, because those perks would never work unless I hook them. I started to see more success in my games, but after matches, survivors would start to call me toxic for not hooking them and keeping them slugged the entire match, and it was my "responsibility" to make the game fun.
Although I've been winning more matches for not hooking all survivors until they are all slugged, am I a toxic killer for doing this strategy? Is this a bannable/keeping the game hostage?
Perks I run:
- Hex Undying
- Hex Ruin
- Hex Haunted Ground / Deathbound
- Deerstalker
It Is definitely toxic. Slugging everyone just to slug is extremely boring for the person being slugged. If you slugged because some one is right there and you know you can get a hit on them then its fine. Even better is if you hook them and the survivor decides to loop around hook.
There are ways around those perks or to take advantage of how they play with those perks. If someone is obviously trying to body block after being unhooked they probably have bt. Try to get around them and if they don't let you wait for bt to end and then just hit them. If they jump in a locker for ds after doing this or working on the objective or unhooking someone instantly take them out if its there second hook and tunnel them off that hook if you are near or just wait the 60 sec if its their death hook.

I've try to but its so frustrating watching it not go anywhere most of the time when I really felt like I did what I could of done, I just wish it was a bit more fine tuned as I never have any problems ranking up as killer, I always know why I lost rank or why I gained it
It Sounds like you just aren't experienced enough as survivor. I was in the same place you are but with killer. Lucky for me though mmr came out and I abused it to get the rank 1 achievement. I came to find out that the issue was I wasn't experienced in the killer roll. But now since I started playing way more killer I've been in rank 1 every month and getting a 2-4k pretty much every game. But I still have those games where I get absolutely dominated.
Honestly the most frustrating thing is probably just knowing that you haven't got the rank 1 achievement. Everything after that is smooth sailing imho.
-
I always say gg ( I might throw in a wp if it was a good match on there part) but it always astounds me when the killer/survivor team says you are only saying that cause you won. The only time I wouldn't say it if I lost is if im playing survivor and got out of the game quick and just wanted to get to my next match

Pretty sure its maxed at 120. I can change the numbers as much as I like but something else is holding it at 120

Yes it did. I just find it incredibly frustrating, all I really want is to get there once. Then I won't care but I just find certain situations where I lose rank, shouldn't happen? Like doing gens and escaping leads to losing rank because no one got any unhooks which loses the benevolence
The best thing to really do is to just not worry about it that much. I remember getting rank 1 survivor for the first time (late last year) and I was so nervous about it. I was so fixated on it that I would constantly be checking my emblems. About 2 months after that I stopped caring and just played for fun and I realized I kept getting back to rank 1. I didn't have to try hard for it and slowly realized that by just playing and improving my skill I was piping pretty much every game.
Pro tip: just focus on having fun and you will get it without having to worry. If you want to try my perk build you can. Its nothing fancy but I like it.
Wglf, kindred, exhaustion ( I like dh), desperate measures or well make it.
Honestly the only perks I really stand by in this build are kindred and an exhaustion perk the other two can be whatever.

Where are they usually if they're not doing the farthest gens? I should be patrolling the unmarked gens, right?
You can find them at the 3 gens closest to the 3 gens that are blocked or just stealthily around. You really just need to keep an eye out. Depending on who/where im playing i go over to the three gens that are blocked and usually find someone. So corrupt still does its job and can usually get a down before the first gen pops

I disagree. Yamoaka is an instant DC for me.
To think someone would instantly dc because of a random map roll. If a map offering is placed then sure just do it in the loading screen. Also if you dc everytime the map is picked maybe you haven't played it enough to understand how to play it or the tile layout. There are so many ways to outplay survivors on this map with there being only around 5 jungle gyms and several unsafe tiles. Also just play the game man. Not every game is going to in your favor. If you don't know the map but also never try to learn it you are only hurting yourself.
-
To say you can't mind game as plague is a bit ridiculous. Maybe try different mind games and switch it up mid game. I've seen many people fall for plague mind games. And if they don't cleanse then they are easier to down then if you were another m1 killer like Myers. If they know how to play loops well then work more on gen pressure if you can't get a hit. Point is survivors will do what they can to not go down or make it easier on you. It is up to you to decide where/when to chase. You can try to get survivors to go where you want them so they don't have anything to loop. Force the chase around gens you know are being worked on if possible. There are many things you can do as killer to help yourself in chase but only if you choose to use them.
-
I dont feel they need to be nerfed. If you think they have spinechill for the purpose of undetectable just don't look at the gen you are going to or take a weird angle it only tells you that you are looking at them within 36m not from where. Also no one runs premonition and it has a 60/45/30 cool down so its usefulness is already limited. Most of the time people who run these will walk away from gens so they would still be nearby allowing you to get some juicy spooky action.
-
Also, if you are playing killer you can do this and start moving about a second earlier. Only downside is you can't move the camera during this second of movement.

I figure its probably more an issue about changing the content/meaning of an old achievement earned for players, so rather than actually changing the text/content of the trophy it'd probably be easier to set the activation requirements to just trigger on a four kill like it used to. Or that's my speculation anyhow.
Thats what im thinking. If they wanted to keep it difficult they could make it trigger of a ruthless game with a 4k.
