Yeah but playing as nurse and blight only gets boring ๐ด

my pc has been degrading as of late after around 8 years of use with little to no maintenance. recently i started playing dbd on pc since this was more cost efficient than Xbox game pass. So for around a month i played fine but now my frame rates have turned unplayable. So if I get new pc/parts what would be the best specifications for this so I can play?
(P.S please explain this in slight dummy terms as I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to how a computer actually works
Honestly, while it's nice to get new parts you might just need to clean your pc. You also might want to download a program that checks your cpua and gpu Temps to see if you need to reapply thermal paste to those components.
-
I would say pc but I don't know what you plan on doing with your system. In the long run pc would be best but it's a bad market rn. I've heard people say the best thing to do is buy a pre built just for the graphics card but idk. Definitely do your own due diligence on whatever you plan on doing.

If a survivor wants to keep putting a boon over and over, they're just wasting their own time.
As someone who basically only plays solo Q, I wouldn't like seeing a team mate placing a boon over and over when they could just be doing gens and contributing.
But my free boldness :(
-
Then do bones again :)
-
Honestly the graph would probably stay the same over this next year and maybe start to trail off towards the end of the year but only slightly.

Nerf forum posts. You shouldn't be able to post on here without touching atleast one blade of grass between posts :)

See edited above comment.
Blessing a hex is not worth the time investment in this situation. But blessing a dull would more likely result in a net positive as you would also get your recovery to 90 while they do it and then get a quick heal after pick up (assuming coh or possibly even new boon perk in The near future). Getting a hex totem cleansed is also pretty decent in this situation as it will relieve the team of whatever the hex was while you recovered on the ground.
Picking up would alert thr killer that there are possibly 2 people over in the area anyways. So if the bones be glowing they must be going before the pick up :)
-
If it glows it goes. If it's dull and they are not blessing it then yeah that's kinda dumb that they would cleanse it over the pick up.
-
Put his body right above your head. Hope for the best.

I'm still fairly new myself but this is what I'd say:
Please don't cleanse a totem while a teammate lies dying beside you.
Depends on the totem.

Does BHVR realize they lose money? I mean, what's the point of buying Pig, Cenobite, Ghostface, Shape, Freddy, Legion if they are only playable with addons (if playable at all). So far, as a new player I see 0 reason to waste money on these gimps.
What are you talking about. They are 100% playable without add ons. Yes add ons make them more powerful but they don't necessarily need them. Honestly the pig and the shape are the only 2 that you listed that somewhat need add ons. The others just have a few strong add ons that aren't needed for every game.
-
Honestly they just need to increase the bonus points by %50 and they are good
-
Its honestly fine by itself. Yes it's good with other perks but without the meta perks it is decent.

1k dont drop the mmr or if it drop the mmr its minimal. That because its harder for the killer to get the first kill so they give more mmr for that if the survivor was higher then you you get more mmr. So its possible to gain mmr with only 1 kill even if you got destroy and only catch the guy at the end.
The mmr works based off of a 2k baseline. I think it was mentioned that the most change you will see is ยฑ20 points per match. Therefore a 1k will drop you 10 points. A 3k will boost you 10 points. Now there might be some minor adjustments to that value that has yet to be data mined. And until we are able to have a program that can tell us our mmr or the lobby mmr ( I think I saw a video where a cheat program was able to tell the lobbies average mmr) we can't know for sure how exactly getting kills or not changes our own mmr.

I get why it happens, but are there any plans or possibilities to clean this up from a player perspective? Both on pallets and DH, seeing a hit reaction but not getting the hit feels like trash, takes you out of the game to have to double check the player icons to see what happened.
There must surley be a better solution to validating hits than this, it should be game design 101 to not give players false feedback.
I mean other then pallet validation you get the missed hit cool down so that is something you can always do as a sanity check before you look for them on the ground or check the hud.
-
Any of the challenges that are unhook x amount of survivors that unhooked you earlier in the match. Bonus points if it's twice in one match.
-
Wraith w/ bbq, jolt (rip surge), nurses, corrupt. Yellow windstorm, bone clapper. My go too build on him.
-
If you just got a 1k then it went down. If you get a 3k it goes up. The range that you get matched with barely changes tho. And there are sweaty teams at almost all levels of mmr. You could have an all meta swf at 1200 or 1900. It's just less likely at the lower ranges

Explain why survivors with 100 ping are able to deadhard my 20 ping. It is decided by the server, but there is also a HUGE margin of error granted towards the survivor while screwing over the killer.
They dead harder 81 ms before you swung. Idk. Makes since in my head.
-
Legion/doctor/wraith.
These killers max out the devousness category rather quickly if you want them to. And with that your other categories are sure to follow.

Well some do DC on a regular basis.
Lol It would be a shame if someone who dc's alot got disconnected during steam maintenance. Hahahahahaha ๐

I think it is fine the way it is. It is something survivors have to worry about late game making that last ditch save nearly impossible

tbf I wouldnt make this post if this wasnt true to me so ye, dont know why everyone is so obsessed with a proof xD
Sorry you thought I was insulting you. I just saw that multiple people were asking for proof and I was just giving them a solution to finding it out to appease their curiosity.

That's pretty wild actually no way BHVR created a bot that advance if they can dodge killer powers or run tiles. They couldn't even program their stupid zombies to not get stuck in a generator...while a survivor is repairing it. I'll be pissed off actually if they can do this with survivor bot but they intentionally let zombies be dumb af.
I mean they are zombies. They are supposed to be dumb after.
Also couldn't someone just make a brand new account and family share the game to it. And record that. Then we will have evidence.

They were easy to hear in the ptb but then they reduced the range of how far you can hear it so something like 8-10 meters
But that also makes since that they would lower the distance you could hear them. They did make the AOE smaller.

Also console with cross-play off isn't that great because it's seperated into generations, so PS4 players only play with other PS4 players and PS5 players only play with other PS5 players.
That's dumb honestly.

On. Queue times.
Is this for console? I have had faster queue times at night during peak survivor hours with it off.
-
Might be because I never play Oni but I played him all night on the 13th and my games were a few easy games followed by a slightly hard game then back to easy and repeat. Also this was done with no add ons and fresh perks as I was going through and prestiging him. So no sweaty ruin pop tink
-
Honestly. Wait out the bt and down them if possible. They made their bed by blocking you so therfore they must sleep on the hook. They can't complain about tunneling in this situation since they are basically begging you to hit them.
-
Probably a doctor build for the extra shock.
Note: pls end me.
-
Corrupt, nurses, jolt, bbq. Add-ons are up to you.
I only run jolt because I rarely kick gens and don't find much point in doing so. At the same time there are some games I get little value out of it if at all. So that could be replaced with whatever perk you want.
-
Bell go bing bong.
He is a good killer. I usually run yellow windstorm and bone clapper and haven't had much trouble with him. Honestly he is also the easiest to pip on up to iridescent grade (mainly because he gets an easy double pip most games before red grade).
-
Honestly they will either be like hey its been a year and give a single code for all the old cosmetics, give them away for free if you log in during the event, or make you pay for them. Probably a code like they did with the Dwight crow charm this year.

The one setting I have for that makes it look like a nuke went off, and the radiation gets closer as I adjust it higher. We need more options like other games have...
Well not all TVs are the same. But yeah while I don't need it for my setup and would be nice to have that option in the menu somewhere.
I just hate how somepeople make the game look like dog turds to give themselves a "competitive edge" and then have the gall to say that it just looks nicer.
-
Change your TVs settings to make it brighter
-
Was your teammate under a ban or you

Maybe play civ 5

Much information. Very informative. Much praise. ๐

Hit validation.
-
Sounds good. We should take walls out too. No point if you can't look through a window to see what's on the other side of it.
-
Sounds like you've disconnected a lot in the past few days then.
-
The blood point cap per category needs to be removed but the total should still be capped at 32000. I don't think people should be rewarded to much for farming give the bp per trial cap.

3 tokens for each survivor is too much. The killer already has to deal with too much in the game. As for the speed of blessing, I guess your suggestion is fair.
I mean 2 tokens would work just as well. But you would probably see less people using them at that point
-
Honestly the only thing that I would do to nurse them is to give a counter for the number that can be placed per person. Like maybe 3. Or Maybe each totem can be blessed once per survivor.
If the hex perk can be re lit after snuffing the blessing over it then the bless speed would need to be reverted back to the same as a bless on a dull.
-
I would like to see some new maps as well. But I do like the idea of them offsetting killer and survivor releases. As this results in something new being introduced every 1.5 months rather then every 3 months.
-
Why not just make it 1 fps and call it good

Play better? it takes no skill to camp and tunnel, I've been playing this game for over a year, and when the killer knocks you down the instint you are hook "playing better" does not work if you dont even have a chance to move, camping and tunneling takes no skill, and i suspect that if your answer is to play better you must be one of those toxic no skill killers, and it saddens me that you get your joy by ruining the game for other players.i can tell you how many times i come across the killer by chance at the beginning of the game lately, and get hook and tunneled right off the bat. i play with a group really good player, and they tell me that im noit a bad player, I'll admin that im not the best. "playing better" is not a fix.and my game play has gotten way better since i started playing,
when your group of really good players, who can survive almost every time against killers that play a fair game, get killed and tunneled by a toxic player almost every time. there is something wrong.
Again it takes no skill to tunnel and camp. if thats the only way you can get kills, then maybe you should "play better"
yeah but that isn't everygame. if you are getting targeted as hard as you are that means you are the weakest link of the group and the killer finds you as the easiest target.
-
Maybe just play better. you will get more points that way.

I legit gave you fact that a challenge can be luck. Clearly not very experienced in using your brain or understanding what you are saying yourself.
I proved you wrong that there is luck and RNG in the game. I proved you wrong some challenges are luck based and not skill.
I'm done replying. You're one of those people who go round in circles over and over even when examples are given, it's not a discussion when you just avoid what the other person is saying and proving.
Wrong. Should stop assuming. You clearly have an extra chromosome or something.
I tell you why challenges are supposed to be challenges. There is no reason to try and discuss why you are wrong as you clearly just want other people to stroke your ego since no one else in your life will.
I'm done replying. It's not a discussion if you fail to acknowledge what the other is saying.
