Is Circle of healing the new Lucky Break?

Where there’s this massive concern about it being the most OP perk in the game, but after a few weeks, almost nobody uses it? Especially outside of players using the new survivor.

Comments

  • It already got nerfed.

    28m --> to 24m

Blessing a hex totem now takes 24 seconds from 14 seconds

And boon effects no longer stack.

In my opinion i don't think it will see general use. You'd have to make builds around it, and also you'd probably have to co-ordinate around it.

  • Circle of Healing benefits the whole team. It will definitely be a meta perk just because of that.

  • I do think circle of healing will become a commonly used perk. Since the perk is an upgraded self-healing, so decent SWFS will run it.

  • Yep. Circle of Healing is the new "OP"-Perk nobody will use after a week. We always have one of those each Chapter, it is tradition.

I know I told you the other day it shouldn’t get nerfed but now I think they should reduce the healing speed.

Boon totems aside, I keep seeing people reference Lucky Break in this way, yet what they all fail to take into account is that Lucky Break was nerfed considerably before it went live. Pre-nerf it was extremely strong.

  • Lucky Break is still extremely strong and imo they buffed it the wrong way. It's just that it takes more than 2 braincells to use it effectively unlike the current survivor meta.

But it doesn't really matter, Shadow Step is coming and that one is way stronger than LB.

But CoH was also nerfed considerably before it goes live. Pre-nerf it was extremely strong.

I think I prefer LB over shadow step but maybe that’ll change once I try it out.

  • People keep going on about Circle of Healing which will be strong for sure, and likely too strong for SWF, however barely anyone talks about Shadow Step, arguably the stronger perk overall, countering the majority of killer info perks.

At the end of the day we’ll have to see how it plays out, but killers already have to manage 4 survivors equipped with DH, Unbreakable, DS, BT, whilst defending 7 generators which can pop in a comically short period of time regardless of killer pressure. It’s perfectly understandable that many killers are concerned.

Petty wording aside, they’re two entirely different abilities that were changed in entirely different ways. As I said, time will tell.

  • Yes, it should have been waited to see how they would do live. Its why survivors can't have good perks, always nerfing them into uselessness.

Shadow step work on the entire team in a area effect lucky break work only foe the user for a limited amount of time.

Shadow step is by far the better perk in my opinion and it give distortion in that area too.

I think its a matter of preference at that point. Its are you more of a team player or a me and myself only type of player

Yeah, there hasn’t been a new meta survivor perk in years. At least killers got corrupt with plague, survivors have had nothing useful since there were like 7 survivors in the game lol.

Boon totems needed to be nerfed because they were way way too strong. And they’re still gonna be great once they go live.

How were they too strong? You have to spend a lot of time to find a totem instead of doing a gen, only to get self-care and hide scratch marks in a very tiny area. It's better to use Self-Care because you don't have to spend a lot of time to find a totem, only for it to work in that tiny area.

The radius definitely didn't need nerfed. At least make the healing much faster like a green emergency medkit so it is worth all the risk.

Must not forget they are so loud the Killer doesn't even have to look for it.

Yeah the last time we saw a meta survivor perk was with Dead Hard on David and he was the 10th survivor. We're now going into our 28th survivor with no meta changes. (Yes David is the 10th survivor even though it looks like he's the 7th in game, look up when the survivors released). The last time we saw a killer meta change was with Hex: Undying on Blight who was released just last year and before that was Corrupt Intervention on Plague just 6 dlcs earlier.

  • Not at all.

Boon perks were really dumb with how they interacted with hex perks and that was rightfully nerfed.

I still think don't think boons should be able to reapplied on a dull it was snuffed out on because there's really no reason for killers to bother snuffing them out unless he happens to down a survivor near one. But I guess we'll see.

changed my mind, shadow step is by far better than lucky break.

Shadow step is way more of a problem IMO. COH is rediculously strong though. They really need to make it so boons are one time uses(when snuffed of course) Or that the totem breaks when snuffed. It's rediculous they can keep being reignited.

sadly I can't see them becoming a one time use.

    LMAO.

I guess BT, Unbreakable, DS, Dead Hard, Deliverance, etc. aren’t good enough.

Welp, Sluzzy gave us a revelation guys - BHVR is killer sided!!

The difference between COH and Self-Care is you give healing benefits to all of your teammates. One survivor having the perk means everyone can use it.

  • It’s a great perk on RPD, Lery’s, and Hawkins. No where else I feel

  • I don't think so. The thing about Lucky Break is that it can potentially be completely countered by having eyeballs and will have zero effect if the Killer either hits you with an insta down or injures you then swaps targets. To go further, even if you stack your ability to self heal... you'll get maybe 2-3 uses of Lucky Break and then its a dead perk.

Compare that to Circle of Healing. I'm fairly certain that it is useful to heal vs every single killer in the game bar Plague and Legion if for no other reason than to be quieter. But even against the Chainsaw Bros, if you play well you can force them to just start M1'ing you. This means that the effect it gives will only very rarely be useless unless Plague becomes a lot more common. For every single heal action that doesn't involve other perks or a medkit, it saves the Survivor team 16 seconds. That's a lot of time. If 5 heal actions happen there, that perk alone has saved the Survivor squad a generator's worth of time. To add additional context, Pop is considered a fantastic perk and it deletes 20 seconds of Survivor time, which isn't that much more that CoH saves on a single heal. Seriously, the time efficiency on this perk is nutty and the whole darn team can use it.

Yes it was nerfed, then it was buffed and still no one uses it. It was from 45 sec to 60 sec and it's still not used. The Developers will probably buff it again, back to the original 90 seconds and it still won't be used.
