Sometimes I'm using a Character who I haven't gotten one on since I spent my BP on someone else.I burn them whenever I have them though.
This.

Mathieu said something about them being in the "very rare" category, so a thousand (1000) cells or so are required to buy an entire set.
-
It's a disgusting move, tbh. I might buy another skin after the one I gain from the event through grind but its only because I got a small dosage of cells as a gift from a pal.

Yeah, i feel the same way. This should be their event of the year, halloween is the event for DBD. They screwed themself on this one tbh. I saw myself grinding 2 weeks to get some wel earned skins and beeing proud of them. Now that you are aware that any player can buy them of the store just doens't feel that much rewarding anymore. I dont get it why they wanna trade excitement for cash, there are no terms of fulfillment on this event, it's really sadMathieu even proclaimed how this event was their "greatest" one yet.
I am not even disappointed. This is the short of ######### I expect from DbD nowadays. -
No thanks.

So queue times are really jacked up right now and i was wondering is anything gonna be done before the event starts because this is not a good start to the event if queue times are gonna be long.I don't recall the last time queues worked properly for killers.

That mechanic was implemented to fight survivors who hide and take the game hostage.
-
I've not been using SC for a very long time. I felt like I could get better at the game without it, so I stopped using. Using Bond instead now.

Using NOED doesn't mean the killer is a bad player. No more than a survivor using self-care means they are a bad player. Endgame strats are legit and the game isn't over till the last survivor is dead or has escaped.Using NOED is just giving up a perk slot for the potential gain at the very end of a match.
Preparation for a worst case scenario, more or less. Works really well in the gen-rushing meta. -
Here in Sweden, events (especially bloodpoint ones) always start at midnight between Thursday and Friday.

Yes, i was thinking the same. I would have probably only played survivor. Since Killer was a nightmare during the Howling Grounds event.
That's awesome news but I cannot seem to find anything about it.
I was very worried about the whole sabo-buff plus hook placement change..Let this ease your mind m8

Is that confirmed?
-
Due to the developers' preferences for grind, I am sure its 50 per piece and not for the entire set.
It'd be a welcomed surprise if I was proved wrong. -
The killer and his power is actually interesting overall. Unique enough to fit in DbD.
I am not fond of some of the perks though. Especially Freeze. There's just so much power in that perk, even if it is a one-time perk there should be no way for a survivor to literally restrict the movement of a killer.

The most effective thing to stop camping is to incentivize leaving the hook. Want camping to stop, make devour hope base game play. Killers will be sprinting from the hook begging for the save so they can become the powerhouse threat they need to be in game.Pretty much. Camping is in its foundation a mentality. Campers camp because they want to. Some of course camp out of necessity but I am referring to those who camp everyone every game. Punishing campers will punish more valid killers instead since campers will just keep camping.

They need to buff the other killers. They are useless. Waste of money and design. People must be scared of the all killers not only the nurse.This. The developers themselves even confirmed on stream that they don't make all killers to be viable.
That's some freaking bizarre design philosophy coming from a company that's trying to have a competitive game and even tried going Esport.. -
There's rumors that the devs are working to bring out new cosmetics for Myers/Laurie, to go along with the new Halloween movie. So that's something.

Fast vaulting remains the same, provided you have a few meters of straight line towards the front of the window.

I'm a fan of the progressive punishment, but immediate as you suggest.First DC -> 30min
Second DC -> 1 hour
Third DC -> 24 hourI am also for progressive punishment but I am also aware that sometimes ######### happen and you'll need to leave. The first DC on every day, should be considered "free". Just because of unforeseen circumstances.

The Shrine of Secrets. At least then people won't be wondering when the Hell BBQ will show up.
That'd be so bad. Shrine of Secrets exist to make the game less Pay to Win. Let's people who don't have the money, or don't want the killer DLCs, to get perks from said DLCs. Makes it all more fair.

Alert was pretty useless, now without the cooldown, atleast it is appealing to use. I hope it stays as it is, since it's no DS.It's basically a more safe but less potent OoO now. I still doubt it'd hit meta outside large SWF squads.

Where were you when the Devs buffed all levels of Self Care to the Teir 3 perk speed? No issues with that change?I loved that "nerf". Perfect example on how the developers "nerf" survivors. They removed the healing efficiency, sure, but they compromised by making all levels of self-care equally good thus buffing it in the long run.
-
I'd never stoop so low that I'd start to resort to trolling and other bullshit to have fun.
Compared to popular belief about players in the modern gaming industry, I am not some ######### sociopath and try my best to RESPECT my fellow players. I know that they are human, with their own lives, and I plan on treating them as "I" would like to be treated. -

I play a lot of killer when playing aloneYou play primarily SWFs, it sounds like. When you rarely play killer, you tend to face really bad survivors and that gives off the illusion of power.
Bad experiences in SWFs against killers, coupled with your easy games as a killer, probably made you decide that killers are OP and you went ahead and made this thread.
I'll have you know that Killers have gotten the short end of the balance stick for faaar too long now and it's just lately that small buffs have started coming their way. The developers are too afraid to properly nerf survivors or rework levels to benefit killers.

Is there something a Killer doesn't have, it's time. Every single second is important and every mistake will cost you greatly. -

Killers are already penalized for staying too close to hooked survivors. They lose points.
Camping is a mindset. A camper will camp, no matter what. All these suggestions only punishes actual non-campers who remain around the hook for other reasons.Other reasons... Such as... camping?
Some stick around because they suspect survivors hiding about.
Some stick around because of the last generators are close enough to not leave.
Some stick around because they're trying to also protect their hex totem. -

Thankfully not everyone is EA and if you're still buying their products then you're proving they can lie and cheat you with impunity.
I have thankfully not bought a game from them in forever. Heck, not even from Activision/Blizzard or Ubisoft.
I simply refuse to fuel the maddened modern AAA gaming industry. -
I'd just prefer it if they let killers close the hatch.

oh i dont really care to discuss with someone ive already deemed ignorant, but ill mention just one, F13.
F13 failed because it was never a good game to begin with and they got crushed legally. People weren't going to buy into a game that was never going to be successful. Its not because they didn't listen to their community.
Dead By Daylight has shown consistent growth since it was released. SteamCharts.com shows them averaging 23k players last month. The forum has a few hundred of the players, and most people who come to forums aren't the average player. We are not the majority on the forums.
no, f13 was rapidly dying since launch way before the legal issues, and the community told them every single day that they want to pick killer or survivor instead of being randomly assigned. this one thing turned players away far faster than any other issue.
Not to account for the fact that it quickly became a national sport as a counselor to find ways to glitch out and be impossible to catch. Or the raw amount of toxic profanity being thrown at whoever played Jason via the VOIP system..
Kinda fitting how it's always the players who play the lesser role who's more intent on making the game miserable for the power role.

Never, unless the planets align and I feel kind enough.

Sounds more like a nice killer to me. The way he was playing sounds like he would leave the hook and look for another. I feel like this happens commonly and everyone once in a while has a bad game. However, it is odd that he couldn't down anyone and mori them after a hook. You'd think the chances of that would be pretty high.Sounds like this for me too. He was too nice for his own good.

To be honest, unless they're punished with more than 2 weeks, they'll still get to play during the event. It's 13 days long in total.

-The Hatch will only spawn into the trial when there is only one survivor remaining in the trial or when all five generators are completed.
-After being the last survivor for 3 minutes and 30 seconds, the exit gates will automatically open.
So a survivor who is only good at looping can win games now. No point in bothering to do gens or anything, just survive until last person and loop and then escape when the doors open?
Fun, fun.
Yes, I would rather lose to a survivor skillfully out playing me for 3 minutes instead of getting the escape for free.
The problem here lies in the fact that he doesn't have to do anything other than being the last one alive. That's it.
No generators fixed, no fellow survivors saved. Just avoid the killer until he gets found and then loop a bunch and run out. -

You can. If you don't play at all and log in to get ranked down every rank reset.
16-20 is newbie ranks and you cannot get back there if you get to 15 or higher. -

Shrink killer hotboxes. Done.This. If the killers had the same collision box as the survivors, they'd be able to loop as tight as the survivors can around objects and cut down the time considerably. No need to literally nerf every killer because its "more fair" to survivors...
