Yesterday over a 4 over stint
5 x Autohaven
4 x Coldwind Farm
4 x Black Water Swamp
2 x Crotus Prenn
1 x Yamaoka
1 x Hawkins
1 x McMillian
1 x Red Forest
So that leaves....
Springwood, Gideon, Lery's, Haddon, Ormond, Glenvale,
I think the algorithm needs to be looked at devs, or with new maps reduced the variations of Coldwind etc
Anyone else noticing they're getting the same larger maps a lot more often?
You're not getting larger maps more often because of algorithm, it's because so there are so many of these god awful maps

I mean. This game isn't overwatch or CS GO where you need to do Flicks (very quick mouse turns) all the time. In dbd all you need to do is slightly move your weapon on left or right, because survivors can't dash or blink.
You'd be surprised how many people I've hit with flicks tbh

They made his ADS Sensitivity (Deathslinger) MUUUUUCCHHHHU slower

@TheEdMaverick said:
This will sound wierd, but I bought him after the patch I get used to it now, I feel it good actually:) but would be awesome with you can adjust the sensivity (only on Deathslinger) the other killers are pretty fine for me <3
His sensitivity was great before, not too slow and not too fast but they made it way sloooooower and that's what you've probably gotten used to now but he's way less effective now imo because of this nerf

Just why? It hardly affects the standard gameplay and only exists to hamper one niece add on set up that's already countered by aura reading perks
It does? Can you give me an example or a video?

My excuse is I didn't start playing Dead by Daylight because i'm good at FPS games. I assume if we get some big COD player in here to run him a few trials we will see a much bigger difference than what any of us have been doing.

I mean, what else can they really do now? The devs made Saboteur a reactionary thing so they can't prep hooks. The only other thing they can do is totems and most killers don't like that.
It was a joke. Slugging is simply a way to slow down the game or manage to get more downs/hooks i.e. furthering the killers objective just like gens
-
@Friendly117 said:
Quit slugging god damn, its not even fun. Literally making the game boring as hell...
Stop doing the gens lol, it's not even fun.

Nowhere near enough players for this

I literally made an account to post this. You are a rank 1 killer, yeah you're probably good, I don't know, but seriously, you're not going to win every match you play. Just like not all survivors are going to win. I'm down at rank 6 and there are plenty of times I don't escapse. Killers gotta kill, and survivors gotta survive. It's how it be 😄
Lowkey though, all the wholesome people are down in the low ranks, as you get past rank 12, people start to get a little mean. After rank 5 it's even worse. Y'all need to calm a tit.
Give this man a medal; he's so nice

This was a badham, They got 4 and a half gens done before I got a down and my power.
I then played out of my mind and barley got 2 dead and regressed all the gens.
Then someone dcd, allowing one to escape and I get a black pip and 2 kills to my record.
This isn't bannable and survivors do it every game.
This can literally guarantee at least 1 escapes almost every game and hasn't been fixed, despite having been brought to attention multiple times.
DC penalties dont fix this as good survivors can do it the once or twice they lose a day.
So please explain to me again how you dont favor survivors?
That's on you tbh, when I play Oni, I only get 1-2 gens before a down and then at that point it doesn't matter because then I have my power and the ability to snowball and slug

There are hundreds of discussions in here about it. Just post on one of the other billion posts about it where you all ######### and moan about the same thing and have your "fixes" instead of making a new discussion every day like your idea is fresh and new.
It is tedious seeing the constant whining about DS. Not a survivor main either before you come back with that "gem" of a response.
People can say whatever the hell they want, the forums are for these recurring discussions incase better ideas arise

Yes... there is xD It's in every shooter. The aim pulls the lock on. Sure it's not pinpointed but if you've played enough, you'll see. Tried testing angles, he can hit you through most objects. Got shot through two railings and a barrel in Hawkins Lab. Needs immediate attention.
There's no aim assist? Just because he can hit you thru stuff isn't aim assist, his hook has a tiny ass hitbox, it can go thru those things
-
@Orionbash said:
Has anyone seen the new map? There's hooks EVERYWHERE. I wanted to try out the new saboteur and it doesn't even matter when you drop a hook. Another hook is directly nearby and the survivor is getting nowhere near to jumping off before the killer hooks him. And this is with a petrified oak. I'm not even sure that PO actually effects anything in the new map.
While I don't think every sabotage should equal a survivor getting off the killer's grasp, there should still be a chance. But BHVR's obsession with placing hooks everywhere has made a previously fun build completely useless.
Yeah well the perk wasn't designed to be around this ONE map, there are many maps with different hook placements, Swamp has like ZERO hooks near each other in a way that the killer could waste time like hitting someone once or bumping into things but then there are maps like the new one that have like 50
-
Dude that's like 0.5 second, don't tell me "oh but time is important in this game" because it's still playing by the perks rules so this should've been a thing already? (Plus you'd only use it 1-3 from least to most in my experience)

Well, I'm not a dev, but if I were, there are a couple of reasons I can think of why I might not respond to lengthy, controversial posts.
Firstly, I like to be informed before I comment on a thread, meaning that I typically read every previous comment before I enter the discussion myself. If I were a developer with a lot of other duties and not a huge amount of free time to browse the forums, I might not have time to do that.
Secondly, I've noticed that when devs do comment on controversial threads, they tend to get immediately flooded by rebuttals, additional questions and random off-topic remarks. If they don't respond to these, people go ahead and say things like "the devs won't acknowledge legitimate criticisms" or "they just ignore people who don't agree with them". And if they do respond, they get hit with another dozen responses that people expect them to reply to. Most of the time, it's never-ending and they just can't win and probably don't have time to engage in lengthy debates, so maybe they figure sometimes it's best to end the cycle before it begins and not engage in the first place.
Thirdly, they have to be very careful what they say. There are some things they just can't comment on for confidentiality reasons, for example if someone expresses frustration with something and the answer they'd like to give is "don't worry, we're working on this" but they can't reveal that or even hint at it because that would be a breach of contract, so they say nothing. And sometimes, they would probably like to comment on a topic, but they aren't confident that they can express their view in a way that won't be taken horribly out of context and used to attack the company later, and ultimately do more harm than good (which happens a lot in this community).
Fourthly, they've probably answered the same questions a hundred times before. Players tend to fixate on the same issues constantly, and it can get wearisome, not to mention arguably a huge waste of time, to keep answering the same questions and concerns over and over. The devs who are active on the forums are nice people, and they like to help and answer questions where they can, but they also have limited time and they're only human. So if they've already commented on one or two or even several posts about survivor perks, or the idea that they favour one side over the other, or how tunnelling and facecamping should be bannable, or any of the other hot topics on which multiple threads are created every day, they might be disinclined to continue responding to every single one they see. Just because individual forum members haven't seen the devs' response to a particular topic, doesn't mean they haven't made one. I spend most of my waking hours browsing the forums, and even I don't see half the comments the devs make on here.
Bear in mind that none of this is coming from a developer, this is just my personal speculation from putting myself in their shoes. I'm just trying to provide an alternate perspective to address your concerns, and suggest that all may not be as it seems.
Yeah, I do realize that they're humans. It could be overwhelming but I guess you're right, if it were me I'd always leave at least one comment but I could see the resentment that might build up since you only have enough time to comment or respond just once

the instant ads is quite insane when it comes to predicting when to dodge and when to keep running, with huntress you see it coming and can react accordingly. with deathslinger you cant. i think he should have a slower ADS
He can't guarantee a kill so it's pretty justified; Huntress can so she should have a windup

Here's two prime examples but at least they frequently respond to bug posts. Well, when it's an environment or survivor bug usually.

For me, I try to play a few killers. I play a variety of killers myself (GF, Billy, Demo, spirit, doctor and dabble a bit in huntress), but whenever I play Oni, I just feel comfortable and confident. The others I feel like I'm doing something wrong or they feel weird, but oni just feels good. Been like that since I started playing him.
Sameeee I love Oni

I scout the forums and see alot of people who want to nerf or rework Mori's. And I'm not gonna lie i was one of those people. I was a surivivor main. But as soon as i started playing Spirit and hit rank 10. IVE LITERALLY HAD 3 GAMES BACK TO BACK WITH 2 PURPLES AND 2 REDS. And I didn't equip a mori for the first two and got my Bottom handed to me. However once I equipped a Ebony Mori, I got a 4k. I think until they fix the ranking system. Mori's are a must for us new killers that are put against these unfair situations.
I think both Moris and Keys sooo much. Both should be nerfed

After the patch, survivor queue times seems faster than killer times, therefore I just played as survivor at this week.
I just LOVE the new killer. He is challenging to go against, deadly if you fool around him.
With most other killers, survivors keep playing Michael Jackson (moonwalking), running in circles, clicking flashlights and other silly things.
With the new killer, if you get too bold, he shoots you and things are not silly anymore.
That is what the new killer corrects. Survivors being silly against a killer. I HAVE to hide, to play careful, not be silly. A pallet must be dropped at the right time because I will be shot and it will protect me against a direct hit. I MUST run fast and vault and flee if Deathslinger is chasing me. I MUST be afraid and respect Deathslinger, because he wont forgive foolishness and goofiness.
And he does not feel overwhelming like Billy or Oni (not complaining, dont nerf them), because he has low mobility.
Wich made me feel again that playing as survivor is a worthy challenge, not a prank or goofy or daring game session as before.
It also helps that he's pretty bad, plus if you're behind something then you can still BM!

Lvl 4 survivor... So no I'm not new. Either he's overly fast or it was a laggy game that allowed him to be so fast.
Nah, you're definitely new

4 gens done in less than 4 minutes despite 80 second Corrupt Intervention.
Those Survivors had no stealth skills, were not good at chases and even worse at saving. While Tru3 could've played better, the Survivor team played worse and up to the 4 minute mark was carried by how fast gens can be done.
BHVR needs to start developing a secondary objective ASAP (they should also stop making Killers without movement/travel options, but that's for another topic).
They could if they remain 115, but they definitely need to make the maps shorter/smaller

All things consider as of today I know survivor side is dropping drastically I ran into the same people 3 games in a row and as killer I ran into same group back to back then a third time a few games later so I don't know what to tell you considering it takes 4 survivors to 1 killer to make a game go I would think that running survivors off would hurt the player base as whole more but what do I know it's only simple math
They already messed up when Ruin change killed a lot of killers off, why do you think Survivor queues take forever
-
@leyzyman said:
Here me out no bait:
If a killer decides to use all the strongest things, he can, in fact, become more powerful than the survivors.
Now, do killers want to play like this? Most want to play killer with chases in mind. The problem is that if a killer plays fair (follows the way the game wants the killer to play), then it is set up for a 1v1.
So in the end, yes: killers can in fact be more powerful. But most dont like that, as it feels not fun to get only brutal killer after getting a 4k.
Tl;dr killers are overpowered when you put on the strongest things, and not the fun things.
If I ran all second chance perks or that with exhaustion and I pulled up in my 4-man squad with 4 toolboxes with brand new parts, survivor would be pretty overpowered too... That's kinda the reason that the things they have are in rarity

i mean it's hard enough to play huntress, nurse or any precision killer because of the terrible camera sensitivity options but a killer like deathslinger who requires pinpoint accuracy to get a hit and has a high skill low reward gameplay i would have thought you would make some adjustments but i guess he is just another flavour of the month killer who will be gone and forgotten just like poor demo boi.
I don't believe its that hard, however I would like INCREASED sensitivity in the game

I think DS is super necessary to combat tunneling but I think it should be deactivated while doing certain actions:
Doing generators, Totems, Sabotaging, When you get fully healed, When you have the Endurance effect applied
No need for lockers if the others apply because they can't do anything anyways if they get out but it would prevent slugging

Am I the only one that feels the devs are scared to make strong perks now? I think the Mettle of Man debacle has caused future perks to be too weak. Many new perks have long cooldowns, multiple conditions to activate, etc. They're just too niche to have real power.
I'm not excited for Chapter 15 for this reason, and the same could be said about the Oni and Stranger Things DLCs as well. There seems to be 1 decent perk in the bunch and then the rest are straight-up filler to clog my bloodwebs.
I just find the new content underwhelming. Anyone agree with me?
I only feel this for Killer Side tbh
-
Killer is genuinely more frustrating at higher levels and people will just say "Oh it's because you're probably not that good" but in my opinion is that it's just way harder to play killer and the killer can't do everything and be everywhere at once and so the killer is limited in what they can do and they can get steamrolled.
Also the difference in perks are astounding. I watched Otz's video on killer perks and he only named like 5~ really good/excellent perks that survivors easily have 2 for each. But obviously the biggest contenders are exhaustion perks and second chance perks.
Second chance perks are just for the sloppy and they really make me think when someone talks about skill in the game. Some are honestly necessary like DS but things like BT, Unbreakable seem like they deserve a punishment for what they can offer, but nope they're just straight power.
Exhaustion perks like DH also just seem they help people with their mistakes and Sprint Burst can be devastating for killers who don't have all the abilities to end chase. Adrenaline can also be seen as a kick to the balls for the killer but NOED exists aswell, I wouldn't mind if both of these perks were gone from the game.
A big thing for my vertical decision-making is that I believe people love competition and winning. That's one of the most fun things all around that even casual gaming can't fulfill. This doesn't really relate but playing Rainbow Six Siege, playing Casual is fine and all but Ranked is so much more fun when you're competing for a hard fought victory. Winning is fun, it brings competition which is also nice and whether you say it is on paper or not, Dead By Daylight was pretty competitive until they removed Ruin and threw the balance all over the place. So more balancing would make the game fun in a competitive and objective aspect.
Call me trash or stupid for my opinions or whatever, I don't care.

Mad Grit is already a counter to breakout, so giving that perk the ability to see wiggle meter won't change anything.
Mad Grit is way worse compared to Breakout, hitting someone literally gives you about a second of paused timer because you recover from hitting anyways

I don't think running 5 meta perks would be much better than running 4. On the survivor side, most meta perks are perks that killers have to assume the survivor is running and play around it. This would just make the killer's assumption more accurate. On the killer side, it would allow for more synergies that the weakest killers would benefit the most from.
Plus, it would make innovative or "meme" builds both more interesting and more viable since you'll have one more perk to play around with or cover up part of the build's weakness.
It's not like killer could do anything about most of them anyways
