I agree, I see no point on it.

I have no doubt. Despite this terrible times my tribe still survives, hidden.
Very few saw the RED in the past.
Now we can see the ORANGE.
Men of culture will always, somehow.... endure.
If you do not understand, you are not from the tribe, you have not the same heart and love, but that is okay, my tribe is few and hidden.
And I do thank the DEVS to allow some small happiness with the ORANGE.
Thank you.

I got mine from AimzAtchu. She lets write all code but the 2 last letters. Those she writes on chat. Got really lucky.
-
Indeed. Please devs, fix it. I want to see it SPARKLE!
-
Hm.... interesting. I waked up in the morning. Logged in. Still "purchase" problem. After a few minutes logged again. Seemed fixed.
-
I have the same issue. Instead of a play button, I have a "purchase" button on Steam.
-
For me it is worse. I get a "purchase" button instead of a "play" button on Steam.
-
Indeed. It is hard to spot. Silver circle, very subtle red engravings.
-
I cant find mine either...

Dont kill bunny Feng :(...
It is too cruel...

Pinhead as killer
Kirsty as survivor
-
Sprint burst or Spine Chill. Sprint burst is better because you can run away fast from the first hit.
Save the best for last.
-
God loops are fine if they add breakable walls to nullify them in my humble opinion.
I play both survivor and killer.
-
For not optimal killers, forcing a 3 gen situation plus noed can tip the balance.
Usually with demogorgon, the tip is not investing too much on chases and do more teleporting to ambush and confuse survivors and semi-camp the first hooks with portals.
Demogorgon shines if there is deep knowlege on maps and how to cut chases using his power. Against very good survivors, it is best to invest on ambush or make sure there is a 3 gen situation.
If the survivors are too efficient and gen oriented, it is hard to do a 4k but a 2k is doable.
Also, it is okay to loose a few trials. I usually get humiliated by good survivors but I manage to do a 2-4k at other trials.
As any horror movie, you must hunt first the incompetent guy. Good survivors usually die last.
The killer is punished by mistakes. Yes. But survivors can also be wiped out if they do a mistake while rescuing.
-
The DEVS MUST create...
Surgical facial masks and gloves for all survivors
Alcohol charm
Toilet paper charm

I am not a professional player but here is my 2 cents...
The killer felt a bit weak for me because I am not good at aiming. Seeing some youtube videos, I get amazed on how powerful this killer can be if one is talented on shooting games. Even so, I managed to get at least 2 kills but I play a little dirty by semi camping.
Against it, it is either weak or strong foe. Really depends on how much the killer is good at aiming and how smart is the team. I frequently die when I play against him, but I have my fun too because I dont like easy games.
Overall I like the new killer. He could be buffed a little bit, maybe adding walking speed or maybe not allowing survivors to vault while being harpooned. There is some nasty stealhy builds that could make him more deadly.
Gen rush is a problem for any killer that have low map pressure.
-
Thank you! Not so far away....
-
as a survivor player, I usually die pretty easy against him...
he is deadly and I love hard survival games...
I think the secret of winning with him is to force a 3 gen situation...
no survivor dares to taunt him with dancing or flashlights...
all killers struggle against a team too focused on gens...
-
Green body, with vines and leafs around it, flower yeallow head with petal skin....
And also a second power... SOLAR FLARE.... a light beam wich 1 hit any survivor...
-
YES! ABSOLUTELY!
SPRING DREAM COSTUME
-
Let me describe what happened.
1) Trial starts. 3 survivors are doing 1 gen. Suddenly, by an unseen force, one survivor gets 2 hits in few seconds and is downed. I hide in a locker. Other survivor gets hit again by an invisible force and is downed. A Deathslinger then appears and roams the map and start hooking. After that initial event, the game seems normal, with the killer not doing anything unnatural nor giving signs of high ping. Then at the end of the match it happens again, the killer manages to M1 hit a survivor at a long distance and then teleports.
2) More or less the same thing but with PIG.
-
I just love him... as a survivor red rank and purple killer player.
You must play stealhy against him and be smart at loops.
I am tired of killers that I can goof around.
And he is less powerful than Billy and Oni in my opinion.
-
Freddy,,,, because I dislike the dream world art. All white and blurred, it is irritating.
-
My favorite momment is when I was playing as survivor, with very toxic players that kept bossing and bullying me at chat.
I was struggling to complete the 4 gen completion challenge in 1 trial.
So I focused on doing gens with another survivors while Oni was endagering and hooking the others. Got saved once.
Once the gates were completed, the Oni started to slug everyone while I was opening the gate.
Remembering on how much this toxic team were toxic with me in chat... I decided to not save them and just leave and get my challenge complete.
Afterwards, I savored their rant in chat, laughing loud and heartly while they get toxic on after trial chat.
I did not dare to respond to them...
-
Nope.... opening chests and trade items is part of the fun.
-
The waiting times seem a good way to measure how balanced the game is...
Despite our personal opinions, people will keep playing only if the game is fun either for killer or survivor side...
You can ignore the killer opinions. The result will only be less killers available for you to play with. The same will happen if survivors stop complaining...
-
I am not sure if the red stain is fair because...
Survivors can confuse the killers with 360, blend and juking. They have panoramic vision. Some survivors are simply magical, they know how to vanish during chases...
Most killers do have terror radius, unique loud sounds and are visible most of the time...
Most loopings are made of barrels or low height walls...
So my 2 cents is that removing the red stain could make the game more interesting... otherwise the survivors (wich I also love to play as) will keep having longer waiting times...
-
It is just a consequence of the ruin nerf without addressing gen rush.
Queue times may vary during the day, you may try playing at different hours.
I stopped playing as survivor. Long queue times and boring / easy gameplay.
As a killer, sometimes I get a rush when I 3-4k but I get overwhelmed easily by gen rush and survivors good at looping.
Dont think bots will fix the game. It will make the problem worse imo.
-
That probably makes certain that the new killer is not licensed but an entirely original one.
-
The totems locations are easy and unless you play certain killers you will fail to protect your totems.
Nancy perk also promotes totem cleasing.
-
The problem is once you max out all killers and survivors there is not much to aim for... so if they cut out any "reward" for playing the game, it will kill the playerbase.
-
The cursed survivor is also marked as cursed by survivors and killers, similar to ghostface marked status.
-
Bikinis and speedos! For survivors and killers!

@ratsmacker said:
A youtuber proposed the idea of a "trial warmup"
I like this idea a lot, considering for survivors, gens are boring to do. But I do think the game needs to be slowed down, so if the trial warmup idea wouldn't work, slowing gen speeds is a good idea.
I also really dislike ruin being a hex. I know not making it a hex would "ruin the hags theme" but tbh I don't think anyone really cares about that.
This warmup idea is very good.
I would just change it a bit... with the debuff on gen speed gets halved if the killer hits a survivor and null if the killer down a survivor or if it hits a second survivor.
If a map is unbalanced or huge, the debuff will take care of that.
If the map is balanced, the debuff will not hurt as it will be cancelled easily.
-
I agree...
-
I think the worst are the infinite loops enhanced by Resilience and Spine Chill perk that makes vaulting speeds high.
Either you do a high level mindgaming or give up the chase to search for less talented survivors.
I usually avoid to DC but sometimes the level of frustration is too high.
-
Things that could help to fix gen rush:
1) Lower hook times. That would pressure survivors to stop doing gens.
2) Balancing the maps in order to reduce infinite loops or pallets chains.
3) Improve totem locations to be better hidden and more random.
-
Get the addon that adds speed while charging the Shred... and the ones that gives portal and the ones that makes you travel faster between portals.
Red addons seems useless.
-
It is hard to judge gen speed because it depends on the killer and survivor skill, how balanced is the map, add on used by killer, what one would consider a "balanced" or an okay gameplay.
For example, if you consider 2 survivors dying and 2 survivors leaving the trial a balanced outcome, then the game may be considered "balanced". But that hardly makes the killer playerbase happy and unhappy killers just quit the game, specially at rank 1.
As a killer, I would be happy if there were not infinite loops or infinite pallets paths. An example of balanced map is one of the dark blue forest map (dunno the name), wich has less exploitable loops, lots of trees.
As a survivor, the game seems a bit too easy at most trials as gens do get done fast unless you are facing Billy or the Spirit. Many survivors players get their fun by overwhelming the killer while I do get fun if I face and survive a difficulty trial and get stomped by the killer.
The devs will no doubt choose what the majority of the player base consider "fun". As a red rank survivor, it seems uncommon to face a red rank killer and many trials seems a "relax time" as the objective is simple, demands low attention and you may get some few momments of daring.
For the killer, many trials with red ranks seems overwhelming and unwinnable unless you get very good on mindgame and have profound knowledge of the map. The problem is not loosing, but loosing in an unfair way.
A second objective could be created if 3-4 survivors finished doing their gens or the entity could block one of the exit gates randomly even if the 3-4 survivors open it, that would create more opportunity for an extra kill.
-
As a killer, if you get red ranks team it is all abou looping and being gen rushed.
It is enjoyable if you get a team that is not strong on loops.
As a survivor it is kinda boring as the survival rate is high.
-
Boring.... the survival chance is high now.
-
No problem dear, we are all stoopid in one way or another...
That is why our only mean of existence is experimentation and frustration...
Unless you have a master jedi / sith to guide you!
-
Well.... if I just killed someone I would not expect them to be happy about it.
Nowadays I dont really care. I just say for the survivor that I love them and I thank them as I thank the food that is on my plate. Specially if I mori with demogorgon.
To all survivors, thank you. See ya next meal...
-
Victory and defeat is not clearly defined in this game.
The devs seems to consider a 50% survival rate as a balanced trial.
The killers may want at least a 3k at most trials.
The survivors want to outplay the killer (looping, flashlights etc) and survive.
Therefore, discussing gen rush depends on what is considered a balanced game without killing the playerbase on both sides.
In my opinion, when I play as a survivor, I dont want to have a 50% survival chance, as I like harder games as a survivor.
As killer (demogorgon main), if an entire team is very good on looping and coordinated I usually get a 1k at best.
Perhaps adding a better post-gen experience could fix this issue.
-
Yes, they should remove the rank system. The advantages are...
1) Lower queue times for both sides.
2) We have frequently multiranking plays already.
3) Ranking does not mean much nowadays. I am a rank 1-2 survivor, sometimes I play horribly, sometimes I play very well.
4) Mixing good and average survivors helps the make the killer experience more balanced. A full team of pro loopers are almost unbeatable.
-
Demogorgon is a hard killer to master and easily underestimated.
It took a long time for me to understand that many killers are very weak at chases but can be deadly at right circunstances.
It portals can give a easy 1 hit if properly placed out of the sight of survivors but close to where they are. Survivors will always be back to where they want to be.
Survivors usually like to remove the portals. So I usually place one close to another at strategic places so I can ambush the oblivious survivors.
Demogorgon can monitor whoever is close to a yeallow portal. That way one may protect totems or other strategic places. Usually it is best if you teleport indirectly to your target. Survivors may always try to break a strategic totem several times, that way you can always ambush them by bringing them to a place where you are strong.
Overall, it may be a deadly killer if buffed up with the right perks but it is relatively weak against good loopers, so you have to lure the survivor away from its loop mode by understanding what does the survivor want to do (gen, unhook, gates). Master the shred to cut chases is hard but can be very rewarding when mastered and fake preparing it usually confuses the survivors.
Common mistakes is placing the portal close to gens instead of using the oblivious advantage to get close to them, wasting the portals too quickly, not placing portals near gates, not using shred while the survivor is vaulting at windows or pallets.
As any other killer, a strong SWF team can be overwhelming.
-
With blood warden it is pure ******. I just love the face of survivors when I down them inside the gates...
-
Can you post a video with every killer and map to prove your points?
As a main survivor, doing trials now is much easier, no need to fear most killers.
Thinking better, if the community upload more videos the discussion quality may improve.
-
Playing with nurse required a lot of practice and time, and once you mastered her you get a huge reward that is being OP in trials.
I never managed to play with nurse, she seemed too hard to master and almost always died at trials against her but I respected the killer that mastered her as I knew how much work needed to properly use her.
Now it is less wasteful to just play as another killer, that made nurse a rare sight in trials and much less lethal.
