For each time a survivor gets hit when they believe they shouldn't, there is a killer that doesn't get a grab or hit that they should have. Survivors say don't tunnel, yet they don't see how not tunneling in that moment may actually cost the killer any chance to swing momentum and win. Killers don't see how unfun it is to be straight tunneled out of the game. Especially when you do it to the weakest link and not the guy who is good enough not to get caught and keeps clicking his flashlight at you.
The win conditions of each side are so opposed to the other side it is hard to find common ground.
The best way to lessen the toxicity is to play both sides. And I mean competitively, not doing dailies or memeing around, but truly trying to maintain a red/purple rank. This way we can see each others point of view better and maybe be a bit more understanding of why a person might have used that tactic at that time.

It would be, but reading through these forums I genuinely believe lots of people do not think there is ever a possibility they could be wrong.
Do you think that there could ever be something that could unite the two or for there to be some sort of truce?

I literally made an account to post this. You are a rank 1 killer, yeah you're probably good, I don't know, but seriously, you're not going to win every match you play. Just like not all survivors are going to win. I'm down at rank 6 and there are plenty of times I don't escapse. Killers gotta kill, and survivors gotta survive. It's how it be 😄
Lowkey though, all the wholesome people are down in the low ranks, as you get past rank 12, people start to get a little mean. After rank 5 it's even worse. Y'all need to calm a tit.
