It's just one of those things survivors will have to adapt to. Can't say I'm either for or against it but the way vaults were before made close to no sense for new players. At least now you know a fast vault takes some sort pre-requisites to meet before you can land it.
There was also a slug nerf and sabo buff you can play around. I mean there's just a yin/yang for both killer and survivor this buff. I honestly don't think any of it was bad.

2 ds, 4 sc and he's crying about add-ons? Something tells me he's not rank 13 because of rank reset. I'd of just said, "qq, gg, yw for streamers" and left.
-
Killer mains are literally telling you why they get irritated when people tea bag them and you're disagreeing saying, "na it's just fun and games." Are you just looking for validation to justify doing it? You're not gonna get it except from other toxic survivor mains who say, "it's just a button, y u get so mad at a button."
Someone said it almost perfectly. If someone gives you the middle finger, is that perceived rude in our society? It's just a finger, why get so mad at a finger? This is a rhetorical question, btw. DBD is our society and tea bagging is perceived as rude. Your video is doing nothing but spam tea bagging the killer and you bring it to the forums when he decides to face camp you for it? I mean jeez, how shallow can people be?
-
Only way to make it fair for killers is to add shirtless Myers.
-
If we get Xenomorph I will never play another game again.
-
Pretty much anytime there is a stand off I'll give it to them. There's not enough benefit in it for me to waste my time at the hatch.
If I am about to 4K and pass by the hatch, I'll give it to them unless they have DS or are being toxic somehow. The exception is if they are running a ballsy perk (like Diversion or something for example) or earn my respect in the game somehow. I'll actually carry them to the hatch. I'm a friendly boi what can I say.
-
I'm okay with survivor's not being able to be hit until they regain control but I wish they would have at least removed the hit box until that happens. The hooked survivor's hit box is HUGE and overlaps over survivor's unhooking them so you can't hit them at all.

Not sure I am getting the same vibe as a rank 1 killer. Seems lower ranks people DC a lot less. The last DCs I remember were rage quits but they would of been dead/losing games anyways for the survivors. Pretty much anything outside of red ranks seem to be consistent DCs though.
-
Other kills dislike SB? Is that the vibe I'm getting from OP? I think it's one of the weaker survivor exhaustion perks. They are limited to walking/crouching the entire round to avoid burning their SB. I'd rather them have SB than BL or Lithe TBH.
It's very very very predictable when a survivor has SB too. Just run up to them, make them burn it and run to another survivor. Easy counter.
-
Ruin/BBQ/Sloppy Butcher are needed at a minimum. For my fourth I use Nurses Calling but Monitor is very good as well. Some others that might work are Make Your Choice/NOED/Enduring or really any other perk you favor.
He's very dependent on add-ons. I favor quick transition.

O no...I forgot....ranks means everything in this game. Shame on me for not being a R1 survivor because without being R1 I'm not allowed to express my thoughts on bullshit campers. I'm also R11 btw but that doesn't even matter
Triggered bro. That last killer must have really jacked your world up. I bet it was like a Freddy or a Pig too, wasn't it?

So tired of killers who decide to camp every person they hook. I can not wait until they start penalizing for it.
Quit camping they say, it's what baby killers do.
Ok so maybe killers can get an incentive to not camp and hunt other survivors. Like BBQ?
Quit running BBQ they say, it's what baby killers use.
You guys are just an endless circle of QQs. Unless you are able to hold M1 down the entire round, you're just not happy. Maybe you need to improve your skills if you are always caught by camping killers.
Yep. You got it man. You know exactly how I play the game...I don't get caught often but when I do, most are campers. Most will actually block the hook altogether as to make sure a survivor can't even attempt an unhook. I also have a perk that let's me see the killer aura when I finish a gen and surprise surprise when you see a killer camping a hooked survivor. No movement, but that's not camping right?
Rank 13 survivor spotted.

Adrenaline only sucks because everyone is running it now. They all wanna be like their toxic idols. It's so situational and RNG for it to be really good. As a killer facing 4 survivors, you're likely to run into it. It'd be like every killer running Blood Warden every trial for survivors. It's a very strong perk and I don't think it's OP or anything but it's just annoying.
I'd rather them run Adrenaline than certain other perks though.
-
I use to care. The better I get as killer the less I care about what most other killers complain about. SWFs are definitely more coordinated but just because they are a SWF doesn't mean they are good players. They can still get mindgamed just like everyone else. Plus SWFs tend to do weird stuff like try and group up to body block or be overly-altruistic. This usually results in extra hits, downs or generators not being completed and I'm okay with that.
The only time I'll dodge a lobby now is if the lobby is full of tool boxes and I don't feel like running Franklin's. If it's 3+ tool boxes, I'm out. Gens get done at a ridiculous rate already, multiple tool boxes just suck what little fun there is in playing killers out of the trial.
-
Legit question, is this an achievement people normally struggle with? I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything (upvote for awesome for you), but I can't not get rank 1 and I'm at 200 hours. The first time I even hit rank 1 was with a bottom tier killer with incomplete perks. Like I am legitimately stuck at rank 1 no matter what killer or build I play. It's extremely hard to de-pip.
Either way though, congrats man if this was an achievement you were struggling with.
-
Yea for sure and for several reasons. You need to know the general game mechanics very well, you need to know survivor pathing and you need to know how to accurately blink. It's the only killer I'll consistently get wrecked on playing killer at rank 1.
There's a reason you see so many streamers make up excuses for not playing Nurse. "I refuse to play Nurse, playing nurse is not playing DBD." No, it's because they know they suck as Nurse.
-
I mean ^ that was just not good playing on the killer's side. Whoever was playing LF in that video had multiple chances at getting a survivor and missed all of them. So in that particular instance, it wouldn't matter what killer you were playing, you'd miss all the hits.
He sucks though. His mobility, terror radius, chainsaw mechanic can lose all of it's charge if it's at 99% and not 100%, him running into objects with the chainsaw that make him frustrated. If they reduced his terror radius a little bit and adjusted his mechanic just a tad, he'd be a terrifying killer to play against.

One of the most garbage perks in the game IMO. If trials lasted longer, it'd definitely be more useful. Spending the time to search for survivors only to find out you found your obsession puts you in a dilemma. Either down your obsession and lose stacks or ignore the obsession and waste valuable time. It's what.. 8 stacks to cap it? That's an insane amount of time to put into one that doesn't give you _that much _ of a benefit. One of the perks that I think could use a buff for sure.
In all the hours of watching God-tier streamers who have the guts the actually run this perk, I can't recall a single time they said, "STBFL is really good". Any meta perk is better than it.
-
get 4 bbq stacks, kill the rest of the survivors
-
Do survivors care about crutches when they are constantly using hatch?
Just remember, as a killer it's always 4v1. It's easy to make yourself sound more credible when it's 4 people speaking against one person. You can play the game per "their rules" and you'll always hear someone cry about something.
-
A perfect game with less than optimal perks. Not bad.
-
Personally I don't like end game perks. As a killer, I feel like end game perks are basically anticipating a group of survivors getting out, in other words planning on losing the game. I'd rather my perks benefit me during the trial. I'd 100% rather have Enduring, Spirit fury or MYC than something like NOED. That's just my playstyle. That being said, I have my own philosophy on NOED:
Any survivor that cries about NOED but uses the hatch is a completely hypocrite. You claim NOED is rewarding failure for killers but the hatch is the exact same thing for survivors. How many times has a killer slaughtered you and your team yet you escape by using a default mechanic? You complete a second generator by the skin of your teeth just to spawn the hatch. You have no right to complain about a counterable killer perk especially if you use the hatch regularly. If this is you, you are bad and should be permanently muted IMO.
Second, if survivors are good enough to escape from me in a trial, then they are going to be competent enough to destroy my NOED totem. I've effectively ran 3 perks the entire game just for my NOED to be destroyed by a survivor with a brain to continue running 3 perks until the end of the game. Also, if a survivor (that fits the description above) dies by my NOED, then they were going to cry about something regardless if it's NOED, Ruin, BBQ, tunneling or camping or just breathing.
So that being said, bad survivors are going to cry. Run NOED if it fits your style because I assure you they will continue to use hatch and DS.
-
BBQ/Ruin + any other two perks of your choice. Right now I run Enduring + Make Your Choice. It really depends on your play style. Another good build would be BBQ/Ruin/Nurses Calling/Sloppy Butcher. Another good combo is Spirit Fury/Enduring.
-
Survivors spend a lot more time healing with Sloppy. It's only a few seconds, but those seconds add up quick on a trial that is minutes long. If they are healing, they aren't doing gens. Combined with Nurse's Calling, it's a sick a combo.
-
How about they add a good gen regression perk? Overcharge sucks, I don't care what anyone says. PGTW sucks too because it's on a timer instead of a token system. Ruin is the only good perk to use to slow down for gen progress and most of the time it's instantly found. I'd love to see a different gen perk meta.
Unholy Aura: The Entity fills your hatred of survivors and their will to escape. Generators within a 10/15/25 meter range of you are instantly put in the regression state.
-
I don't see why people think Rank 1 is this skillful achievement. If you know the basic mechanics of the game, it's very hard to de-pip. There is definitely merit in the statement, "rank doesn't matter". It's pointless. What benefit do I get for staying at Rank 1 as a killer? I can walk around with my chest puffed out saying, "I'm a real rank 1 killer!" That's it. No extra BPs, matches aren't longer (the opposite) and survivors are more competent on average. Why would anyone want to stay rank 1? I'm not saying this to burst anyone's bubble, but I am rank 1 right now and the first time I got to rank 1 was on a killer without finished perks. There is nothing competitive/skillful about it.
The truth of the matter is higher rank survivors are more boring to face. They know where every pallet is, every infinite is and how to optimize gen repairs. You can expect this every match unless you play against boosted survivors. Like you said, higher ranked people usually bring in their good items. This is true. I just want to casually grind BPs for the months of grinding I still have left and it takes a lot of the fun always going against people playing try-hard.
-
Enduring is extremely good. Yes, I would say it's one of Billy's best perks. The problem with your tactic on Billy is once you start facing competent survivors, they will easily start juking you at pallets because they know you will respect the pallets. Why do you think Billy's face is so screwed up? He's Billy AKA Pallet Face bro, never respect pallets.
Second, it doesn't matter if you chainsaw pallets or not. You have to M1 on Billy otherwise you will be looped for years. If you are relying on the chain saw to always down survivors, you are playing Billy wrong. Respecting pallets and always chainsawing will lose you time/downs. I know it's fun to be greedy with the chainsaw but the difference between a good billy and an average billy is knowing when to M1.
There's some killers you can get away with it on, but Billy and LF are definitely not one.
-
Pretty much once you have 100-150 hours played as either killer or survivor, you get a pretty good grasp of the mechanics and getting down to rank 1 is pretty much just another day. It's not like it's this hard achievement. Once you know what you're doing, it's very, very hard to de-pip.
What makes the game a little boring is how grindy it is. I'm at roughly 200 hours and I still have months of daily grinding for BPs. Some days I just get burnt out on grinding and don't even play because I'm so sick of grinding BPs. Don't get me wrong, I understand the concept of grinding BPs (keeping people busy so they'll keep playing) but I wish they were a little less RNG.
-
Yea I always thought it would be a cool feature on the forums if you could link your hours played survivor/killer to the forums. That way if a survivor comes in with 50 hours survivor and 30 minutes killer, everyone knows he will be survivor biased.
-
its lag
-
@Brawler said:
- maybe do not decrease his movement speed to 85% while charging the chainsaw
That and make his chainsaw mechanic similar to Billy's. Seems like often when playing LF I'll let go of his chainsaw at 95-99% which causes it to reset completely. As a result, you usually lose the opportunity for a hook.
-
Yea pretty much bro. Being an effective killer is completely dependent on how you manage your time in game. If you are searching for survivors for more than a couple minutes, you already messed up. This is why so many killers run Whispers.
If you spend 3 minutes getting looped by one survivor, you messed up. Some of the survivors at rank 1 are so incredibly good at looping and playing against mind games that if you mess up once and respect a pallet when you shouldn't have, you just restarted their loop. There's no shame in breaking off a chase if you suspect a looper is too good. You just don't have the time to sit there and go through every pallet on the map. It sucks for killers but it's just the way this game is designed.
-
You're not slugging the entire team, just one person. It's not about it being a super effective strategy, it's about it being more effective than the alternative. If you're running Enduring and the DS user wasn't particularly good at looping and there's no pallets around, well that might be the better option than slugging. Other killers that mindlessly down/pick up a survivor/hook a survivor without thinking get owned by DS because they aren't using strategy. Like at all.
Just to make this clear, I am not defending DS at all. I hate the perk and I do my best to make the user suffer in my trials for it. There's just not too many effective strategies against DS so it's a pick your poison option here.

Quit crying, jeez. Yea DS SUCKS but I'd rather them delay it for another month or two than release an update where DS is barely even affected.Until then, L2 slug. Leave the DS user crawling on the ground the entire game, at least make them suffer for their DS rather than pick them up and let them use it.
It is THREE TIMES easier now to heal a slugged survivor.
Just a coincidence?
So I guess I will spell this out. Unless you are running an obsession perk, you can tell which survivors use DS, because the only good obsession perk a survivor will use is DS.Therefore, 95% of your trials, the obsession is gonna be running DS.
If you slug the DS user and go chase someone else, you now have pressure on the map. 1 dying survivor, 1 survivor being chased, 1 survivor running to heal the DS and 1 survivor working on gens. Your alternative is to pick up the DS user, get stunned and continue the chase and getting looped by the same survivor. This is the tactic they are hoping you will fall for. You went from having 1 survivor working on gens to having 3 remain on gens. This means gen rush because you couldn't pressure the map.
Let the DS user bleed out if you have to. Slug them and move on until they fix DS. Or just continue getting owned by survivors and coming to the forums to QQ about it, really up to you.

Why do you want to nerf a perk that incentivizes Killers not to camp?Jeez I know right, always a salt fest with bad survivors.
Survivor: omg baby killer camping, l2p scrub
Killer: Ok I won't camp. I'll use BBQ and go find someone else.
Survivor: omg noob killer using BBQ. such op perksAt least be consistent with your QQs instead of complaining about anything a killer does. Bad survivors just aren't happy unless they can hold M1 down the entire game without being chased.

Camping and tunneling doesn't work against competent survivors. If you put pressure on only one survivor, guess what? You're gonna have 2-3 survivors burning gens because you have no map pressure. Only bad survivors complain about tunneling/camping.
If you play the map smart and you still get gen rushed, you're likely gonna pip or black pip with more points than anyone else. Still a win in my book. If you tunnel/camp as killer blindly without tactics, you'll finish with no points and a depip because competent survivors will play around you.
Your post isn't an issue. Salty people will be irrationally mad and it's easy to sound rational when its 4 salty people against 1 killer at the end of the match.

For that person they lose 1 pair big deal, but with how easy it is to get them and Black Wards is the issues. Once you hit P3 they drop in the Blood Web like candy.
If they were truly ultra rare then they'd be as hard to get as say BPS or the perks you want to get.
So what's your gripe? You don't like killers having rare add ons? You think they should be nearly impossible to get? Too bad, get over it and reque instantly for the next game. You know what I don't like? Survivors DCing and keeping all their items or DCing and making a killer's gear useless. That needs to be fixed before anything gets adjusted on killer side.
-
0-1K it's a lose. 2K it's a draw. 3-4K it's a win.
-
I think for the average survivor, balanced landing/lithe/SB is always 100% the better choice. Any decent killer will anticipate your DH. Unless you are a super good survivor well taught in killer tactics, I just don't think DH will suit you very well.
-
I'm not even good with survivor and I can easily pass the overcharge skill checks. On top of that, the gen regression is only 5% if they even fail a skill check. It takes a survivor just a few seconds to make up that progression. One of the most overrated perks IMO, I will never use it.There's too many other good perks that can be used instead.

Hell yea they're OP, that's why they're Ultra Rare add-ons. They're supposed to be OP. We can't sit here and act like survivors don't have just as obnoxious ultra-rares. Every killer should get sick ultra-rares like these TBH.Yes but how easy is it to get said offerings compared to hatchets and speaking of which just ran into a huntress with the setup. This huntress always and I mean always has the Iridescent heads and Infantry Belt.
It didn't help they spawned 36 meters or less away and came right at me 10 seconds after match started.

TBH I don't mind the hatch. I try to avoid double pipping anyways, I usually give them hatch anyways.
But I do want to point out something here. Survivor's that complain about NOED but use the hatch are complete hypocrites. The usual argument I hear about NOED is "it's rewarding the killer for failure", but isn't that exactly what the hatch is? /rollseyes
