  • Look man, I see what you are getting at. You're calling yourself a "solo survivor" as if it completely handicaps you. This isn't true, you underestimate how much trouble a single survivor can give a killer. Calling yourself a "solo survivor" is just your excuse for being bad. Sorry, someone has to say it. I've played a lot as killer and I've seen some damn good solo survivors out there that have carried their team.

My advice to you is to concentrate on getting better, not your team. Just slightly improve your looping skills. You'd be surprised how much time a bad looper can waste just by throwing pallets down over and over on a killer's face.

Even go play as killer for a little bit so you can see both sides and learn how a killer thinks.

  • His biggest flaws right now are his chainsaw, his terror radius and his broken add-ons. Why would anyone choose LF over Billy? Their mechanics are almost exactly identical except LF is a scuffed version of Billy.

For starts, most every killer with a 32m killer radius have a way to control their terror radius or mobility/powers to make up for it. Leatherface doesn't have this. He's big, tall and slow. You can hear him and see him coming for miles and either hide or loop him. To start, adjust his terror radius a little smaller would be a good start.

Second, his chainsaw mechanic is very clunky. First and the worst thing about it is having to overcharge your chainsaw because so many times it has been 99%'d and you release the mouse just to lose your chainsaw kill. His chainsaw mechanic needs to be like Billy's! People who have put a reasonable amount of time into LF know exactly what I am talking about. Then his chainsaw "frustration" when he runs into objects needs to either be changed or removed. When Billy runs into objects, it just goes straight to cool down. Why not the same for LF? Instead, you sit there for years while your survivor runs away. Fix this. Finally, while charging his chainsaw he slows down. Why can't he just maintain his speed?

Last, his add-ons. Self explanatory. He has broken add-ons that don't work. Just fix them.

Just ignore survivors like these. They are not worth the time arguing with them.

BBQ basically gives you double BP. With the insane grind on the killers side, I use BBQ on ANY killer. Does that make a noob? Maybe...... maybe im a noob for not putting in 5k hours and having everyone at P3 so I dont need to worry about BP

I was just going through the comments and yours stood out. Can you explain the “insane grind” Survivors 9/10 times get a lot less bp then killers.

He's not saying survivors don't have a grind. I don't know why people always have to compare sock sizes. Here's sort of an explanation.

Each killer has 3 perks that you have to level up 3 times? So one killer trained will add 9 extra blood webs in teachables? And there's 13 killers? This just adds what.. 117 EXTRA blood webs for ONE KILLER?

So if you want to play a variety of killers, you need to grind out all the meta perks for each killer. Whereas on survivor, you can train your meta teachables and grind out one survivor. Then your done. Unless you just want a different skin.

It took me like 4-5 million bloodpoints just have Myers playable with decent perks. That's a singular killer.

  • Didn't even think about it, but iron maiden will be a great perk for Doc.

  • Na, I don't level any of my survivors. Since I'm a killer main, I made the mistake of leveling up all my killers, 90% of the teachable perks I have no desire to use. Each killer has 3 perks that you have to level up 3 times? So one killer trained will add 9 extra blood webs in teachables? And there's 13 killers? This just adds what.. 117 EXTRA blood webs for ONE KILLER?

Nope, I was smart this time around. I leveled up Claudette for SC, Feng for Lithe and bought the rest on the Shrine. I will never level up another survivor because of the insane grinding required with teachables.

  • The hit boxes in this game are extremely wonky, they are definitely not precise. This doesn't just affect survivors. Killers can hit survivors through windows. I consistently get free hits on survivors this way. I get the impression survivors believe there is an invisible wall through windows. This is not true, you can definitely be hit if the killer angles it correctly.

Second, while I agree there are some BS hits, there is an equal amount of BS misses. Auto-aim loves to target walls. In its own annoying way, this does balance out. This is just something to keep in mind if you are a survivor main. So the next time you hear a whiff or a cling because the killer missed, auto-aim may have just saved you ;)

Another thing to keep in mind is survivors have the mechanical advantage because they are in third person and the killer is in first. Your FOV as killer is significantly smaller and enables survivors to perform mechanics like 360'ing a killer. I have a feeling if there was no auto-aim, this would be very unbalanced.

No they aren't. Why do people say this? They are garbage perks that need to be buffed.

  • No decent survivor will ever complain about BBQ. I can tell you right now that is a baby survivor just trying to get under your skin.

Do you often compare real-life situations to things in video games?

    Oh, wait.

You do know REAL people play video games right? Disrespect is disrespect man. If you think just because you're playing a video game or on the Internet it's cool to blatantly disrespect people, you're part of the problem.

what facts my dude? you literally just posted a makeshift graph that you found on google images.

Sorry man, it's gotta be posted. No offense.

  • Still gonna use BBQ. It's just too much BPs to give up. It sucks it won't be as consistent, but until the ridiculous grind is over with in this game it's a mandatory perk for me.

  • Personally, I think distortion is gonna be the new meta. It's the only perk that I feel is going to kind of suck. I feel like this is gonna cause a meta-shift for killers. I don't feel like BBQ/NC will be reliable anymore, what's the point of them now?

I don't really mind that BBQ/NC has a counter but what bugs me is BBQ officially has a counter and DS is still doesn't. We've been waiting forever for a DS fix and they pull this out of their butt. Uhg, this is just getting old.

-Spirit: Rancor, Hex:Ruin, Hex:Gaunted ground, Hex:NOED (supposed to be a one hit build)
-Nurse: Nurse's calling, Thanatophobia, Hex:Ruin, Sloppy Butcher (trying to slow the game as much as possible while looking around with nurse's calling)
-Letherface: Insidious, Iron gasp, Agitation, Hex:NOED (basement build)

I mean the basement build is kind of a meme like Fat Myers. If that's what you're going for, it's fine. For Nurse, definitely trade Thana for BBQ.

For Spirit. trade one of them for BBQ.

  • Survivors also have a perk to counter it now. Gonna be meta until BBQ isn't meta anymore. We're gonna know what WGLF feels like after all this time.

  • If anything it makes gen progress worse. It encourages survivors to work on separate gens. It's faster for survivors to do separate gens than gens together.

    @iceman2kx
Ok so it's fine to balance the game around the depip squad level but not around good killers. Good to know!

Are you familiar with a strawman argument? Really you should look it up.

  • I think it's heavily dependent on the map, but over-all, at least in my experience, I think it's in a good spot both killer and survivor. A good killer will wreck survivors and good survivors will wreck a killer. I think there's a few adjustments that need to be made like DS, totem placement, broken add-ons and some useless perks on both sides. Other than that, I'm pretty much enjoying this game.

  • Yea pretty much this ^

Totems need to be adjusted to be a little more consistent. A survivor shouldn't be able to destroy it within 20 seconds but it shouldn't last all trial either.

  • By your logic, if a killer body blocking a unhook is unfair and should be bannable what about survivors preventing a kill by body blocking a hit by the exit? The pendulum swings both ways man. I'm not trying to troll you but these are things to think about when you play only-survivor or only-killer.

  • I'll play him sometimes just to change things up, but he's like a nerfed version of Huntress imo. I personally just don't find him all that fun or strong to play.

  • Your build is meta, there's no issue with that. Maybe try Sloppy or Ruin over Whispers? Totally up to you on that one, but whispers is never a bad choice. If survivors are juking you, you're probably being too predictable. Get right behind them, like you said melee range. Try stalling your chainsaw right around 95% and wait for their 360. Once they try and 360 you, that's your chance to hit them. Also aim your mouse down a little bit (towards Billy's feet), you'll have a better view of the survivors when they try and juke you.

As for the window, I'm not sure I understand your question. Maybe rephrase it? As for Q and E, I know there's some pretty advanced moves you can do with Billy at loops, but those are pretty hard to do. I just M1 at loops honestly. I don't even see Zubat usually play like that and he's one of the best Billy's out there. Normally, use Q and E for steering across the map, but just use the mouse for normal chainsaws.

Pro tip. Instead of Q and E, use A and D to body block up close then hit your chainsaw.

  • Yea Sloppy Butcher is meta right now. I would never take Coul over it, however, you may find some surprising results by combing the two.

  • It's not a counter to DS and I wish people would quit saying dribbling is a counter because it justifies not giving DS a legit counter. It's situational, sometimes works and almost waste as much time as just eating the DS. Remember, you still have to hook DS boi two more times, it's not going away just because you dribble.

Second, I'll dribble if I am close to a hook and need the BBQ stack. If they are within dribbling distance but still kind of far, I'll leave them slugged or eat the DS if I have enduring. At that point, you're wasting just as much time dribbling as you would just taking the DS (them potentially missing) and hooking them.

DS is a garbage perk and I wish it would be addressed already :/

  • Just learn to play against SWFs. As long as they aren't Seal Team 6 status SWFs, I actually prefer playing against them. So many free hits as a killer and most of the time I don't find SWFs super good. Just make sure you chase the guy with the tool box and not the DS.

The only thing I wish would change is being able to know if I am playing against a SWF or not. Sometimes a SWF can sneak in my lobby without me realizing it and I'll play them in "casual" mode with a killer like LF with no-addons or something and I'll get wrecked. It'd be nice to know so I can throw on some better add-ons or play with a stronger killer.

A BP modifier would be nice too.

  • If the doors are open, you're fair game on the hook. This is just something you and every baby survivor need to accept. What sense does it make for a killer lose his kill just to chase a survivor who can dart out the gate instantly? The game physics literally prevent a killer from downing someone before they can make it out the gate unless the survivor is just garbage. Unless the killer is running NOED or Rancor, there is not a logical reason for a killer to leave the hook.

Honestly, I'm neutral on killer/survivor concepts or "fair play". Just quit crying and play the game already.

  • Am I the only one that likes de-pipping?

  • You're a survivor main salty because a killer owned you. You were so upset about it, you decided to come to the forums, create an alt account and make this post.

  • Omg, I just looked this up. Are you really saying a cheap, knock-off mobile version of DBD is better than the real dbd? You must be HYPED for Diablo Immortal.

  • Blood Warden is amazing. My problem with BW is how RNG it is. Then you just ran the entire trial with 3 perks if you can't get BW to pop.

  • I think you answered your own question. Enduring + Spirit Fury is the new meta. Make it a point to disrespect pallets.

If you like to respect pallets, it's time to switch to a survivor who is terrible at mind games.

  • You could try Devour Hope or Rancor. Rancor would probably be the easiest.

  • I'd love to see a fix on totem perks in general honestly. Like Devour Hope is an extremely strong perk, but how often do killers see Mori value out of it? Totem perks are fun to play around with sometimes, but as serious viable builds, Ruin is the only perk worth running and it's barely worth running at that.

It really sucks when you've won the entire match and body a hit for a hurt survivor only to get surprised with NOED.

This is your problem right here, you assumed you won. You didn't win, you almost won. You helped your teammate by taking a risk (knowing NOED and other end-game perks are a potential threat) and that risk did not pay off. It happens, learn from your mistakes and move on.

I'm not even defending NOED here, I'm just pointing out bad plays by you.

With the current balance of the game, D-Strike doesn't need to be changed. The perk isn't overpowered, it's just good. All you need to do is run enduring and the perk is a joke. Also, there are counters like juggling to hook.

Na man, D strike is broke. I don't know why people try to to sit here and come up with excuses with why it's not broken. Second, juggling is not a counter because it doesn't work all the time. If juggling doesn't work all the time, then it's not a counter is it? I'm sure we can all agree with that logic. What if the survivor is no where near a hook? Should I just leave him slugged and say slugging is a counter because that seems to be the logic D-Strike users lean towards? What if a non-obsession has D-strike?

If it's one thing I've learned in my gaming history, if one ability raises this much controversy, it's usually broken in some way. The problem isn't D-strike directly, it's how fast generators are completed and how much D-strike delays a hook (not ending a chase and not applying pressure). I'm not really gonna go over all of D-strike's flaws because this is already a well-known problem for killer side, but we knew all that already didn't we?

  • @Tsulan No he doesn't bro. I've yet to see a single competent post come from him.

Second, it's mind-blowing that people believe the hatch mechanic is balanced the way it is. You guys are obviously one-sided in this regard.

  • OP it sounded like your killer went AFK on the hatch to me. No offense, but I think you are trying to give yourself more credit than you should. No competent killer is just gonna stand on a hatch for 3 gens, all totems be destroyed and power both exit gates.

Second, the hatch mechanic is freaking terrible. I don't even waste my time with it, if a survivor gets it, they get it. I don't understand why doodoo mechanics take so long to be fixed in this game. There's add-ons that haven't worked since I've started this game. Hire more devs or something, it's crazy that all this stuff is still broken in the game.

  • I couldn't care less about rank. I'd be happy staying around 6-12 TBH. To answer your question, I save all my Moris. The only time I use my Moris are for very specific survivors (name extremely toxic/rude survivors that I played twice in a row) or the dailies.

With the top 3, there's really no comparison. A good huntress/billy/nurse will wreck anyone. This isn't my killer list either, just what I know the best killers on average are.

Pig shouldn't be low tier. She slows the game down a lot just by being the Pig, and end loops in seconds with a good ambush mind game, and sometimes even kill survivors in 2 minutes and 30 secconds.

Any killer that needs a buff, I'll automatically put bottom tier. While I understand Pig can be good, any bottom tier killer can be good. The RNG of her traps and her ambush definitely need buff/adjustment. So until she gets her fixes, I'll consider her bottom tier.

  • Dribbling? Are you just listing every single thing you can think of? That's a killers only way to hook a DS survivor without getting stunned. If you're saying you run DS, then you deserve to be 2-28 honestly.

Second, if you are truly 2-28, then it's time to put your big boy pants on and quit blaming killer for your badness. Watch streamer mains play, there's a bunch of good ones. Watch YouTube guides, there's tons. You're literally standing on the shoulders of giants. Your "I LOSE SO YOU SHOULD BE NERFED" mentality is terrible. You and everyone with that mentality should be forced to play Monoplay for a year.

  • I'm assuming this is for new survivors? If so:
First: David for We're Gonna Live Forever and Claudette for SC.
Second: Would be Nea/Feng or Meg for an exhaustion perk.

The rest are just how you want your playstyle to be.

    1. Nurse (Top 3)
    2. Billy (Top 3)
    3. Huntress (Top 3)
    4. Myers=Hag=Spirit (Upper Mid)

  • For me it just depends on the survivor's play styles. In general, I'd say the swamp is pretty bad. What I hate worse than the swamp is maps with infinites right in the middle and every survivor in the trial runs straight to it. You already know the survivor is running straight to the infinite. That just makes the match automatically terrible for me. I don't blame the survivors for knowing how to use the map's mechanics to their advantage, but it sure does make the trial suck for killer.
