    Hello,
    are some Cosmetics considered "Toxic"?
Some stand out like a sore thumb, but are there some that have a bit of a bullseye on them as the clothing of a trouble maker?
If you were trying to remain "one of the herd", which items of clothing do you avoid?

I'm starting to realise that my Leopard print Ace and Rowdy Boy David, may not have been the best choice (although they are smart!)

    Thanks!

I'm just gonna put it to you this way.

You aren't targeted because your toxic but because you are easy to see.

You instigated it. How would you react if the killer told you, "Try to gen rush a bit less. just a tipp. GG tho"

That's not instigating that's constructive criticism taken personally and then overreacted.

The problem with your constructive criticism is it's not constructive criticism. You just didn't like the way this certain killer played. Is camping allowed? Yes, it is. He can camp all he wants. I understand as a survivor there are certain tactics killers use that may be frustrating, but you're telling him to do something because you didn't like it, not because it was against the rules. So in the context you used "camp less", it's absolutely instigating and I see why the killer took offense.

There are people here telling you that you were wrong and you are still defensive about it. If you want to play killer and play "by the rules", you are more than welcome to. If other killers want to camp, then sorry about your bad luck.

  • He is a weaker version of Billy and I agree he needs a buff like most killers do, but he's not useless like people make it out to be. I don't mean any offense by saying this, but when you say..

    @Sandbagger69 said:
The only time you do well with him is when you have survivors making mistakes.

.. I tend to believe it is more user error than his mechanics. If you're relying on killers like Billy to carry you through the ranks, you're anti-looping game probably needs some work.

    Good luck!

  • Xenomorph from Aliens please.

  • You instigated it. How would you react if the killer told you, "Try to gen rush a bit less. just a tipp. GG tho"

  • Na it's not cheating in the terms you can get in trouble for it. If other players find out you are using an adapter, they'll clown you for it though or may not even want to play with you.

I've gamed on PC my entire life. Counter-Strike was my first FPS. When Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) was out, the PC community began to die out and was full of hackers. So finding good games was frustrating. I bought myself an adapter so I could play with the console community where there weren't hackers and they were plenty of lobbies. My K/D stayed right around the same as it was on PC. People saying it makes you a God on console are flat out lying or they have no idea what they are talking about.

  • You'll want Monitor and Abuse or Shadowborn. I still suck at nurse, so until I get better, my build will be: Ruin/BBQ/Nurses or make your choice/SB or MA

  • This is one of those changes I honestly couldn't careless about. I don't even know if I ever have popped BL3. Let's be honest, if you popped BL3, you didn't really deserve that hit anyways.

  • Freddy mains are masochist.

  • Or they can just buff the other killers already so people are funneled into playing Nurse or Billy.

  • On my entire journey to Rank 1 as killer, I can't recall a single time anyone effectively used sabotage. It's kind of RNG for the survivor to make it work. You have to sabo a hook to like 99% and hope he carries a survivor from far away to that specific hook, then you can sabotage it and the survivor can escape.

If you're with a SWF, you can make a killer's hooks pretty miserable if you combine sabotaging with body blocking. IMO the average SWF team can't do this because it takes a lot of coordination.

  • @Michiko said:

LOL this happened to me so many times. I remember I dropped a pallet, got slapped and then the killer got stunned after. Like what in hex magic is this????

Dude a dev literally just said it's a latency issue.

it is very easy to spot the difference.

can you at least comment with something that like...you know helps?

You'll see crazy good organization that wouldn't be possible without voice communication (SWF).

  • How exactly would you nerf Billy? He can be looped like any other killer. His mobility is what makes him good. If you nerf that, then Leatherface will be stronger and we all know Leatherface is garbage ATM. Buff the other killers first then I think the killer community would be more open to Billy/Nurse nerfs.

  • Probably because you're being bullied by experienced survivors who have purposely deranked themselves.

  • IMO the Jigsaw boxes should shuffle every couple minutes or so.

  • If unnerving presence had a BP bonus or something, I'd gladly use it over BBQ.

  • I never really understood why killers have add-ons that benefits the survivors like the reagents that cause the mist to thicken or shroud of seperation. Do any killers actually use these?

I think it would be neat to have a easier way to obtain perks than RNG. I think Billy is the only killer I have with a "optimal" build. I'm STILL grinding BPs for other killers just to get competent perks.

If people like this are playing like toxic MFs live on stream, why don't they get banned?

Because you can't ban for that.
You can let people die on hook if you want, it's not something that will get you banned. It's basically the same as not coming for a save at all.

It's definitely not the same as not coming to save at all. You're blocking/deterring other survivors from coming to save you by doing this plus you're contributing absolutely nothing to the game (like staying on a generator). It's pretty toxic but I don't think they should get banned for it. It's unfortunately just one of the consequences of being a popular streamer; people will do stuff like this to you because a lot of people are watching them.

  • @only1biggs said:
I don't care for tru3, or the ######### that pours from his mouth, but he didn't do anything wrong. The survivors were salty little bitches is all

Just curious why you think that? I've been semi-following him since I started a couple months ago and he seems like a genuinely good dude. He has an "anti-toxic" approach to playing the game and I respect that.

As far as the video goes. The survivors were just looking for attention because it was a big streamer. They were probably salty because they couldn't bully Tru3 and instead got owned. So they took their petty "vengeance" for cheap lulz.

the roar lunge is fine since she is sprinting for about 15 feet.  i am always surprised (but not really) to hear people talk about how that needs to be removed.  100% no warning?  really?

It's more effective to CTRL out of crouch and run up to them on the generator than actually use the dash. Unless you are mind gaming someone at a loop, I don't really find the dash all that good. I'm not a Pig main but that's just my experience with her.

  • @mcNuggets said:
Bad killers like every single killer not being hillbilly or nurse are forced to use perks like NOED and Ruin (even those 2 need em) in order to even stand a chance against good survivors.
This shouldnt be the case. NEVER.

This is a great point I forgot to bring up. The short length of games encourages killers to play Nurse or Billy for their mobility. I know this is a major gripe for survivor mains and I don't blame them. Playing the same 2 strongest killers would be boring.

As a killer, I get bored of playing Billy. When I play other killers I find fun, like Freddy, survivors absolutely wreck me. When you are playing a weaker killer and 4 gens pop before you have even hooked your first survivor, that is very discouraging to keep playing these weaker tier killers.

I think extending matches somehow would be beneficial for everyone in this aspect. Survivors could play against a multitude of killers besides Billy and Nurse and on the flip side, killers could enjoy playing other weaker killers.

  • @HookedonDemand said:
The whole gen rushing thing confuses me. Isn't finishing the gens literally the only thing survivors need to do to escape ? Why would they wait, to take in the scenery ? It's like complaining that the killer starts killing right away... :(

So I am just gonna guess based off your response that you may have just skimmed over what I posted. I stated survivors could wait as humor and shouldn't have been taken seriously. The whole points of my thread is to point out gen rushing is the only objective that survivors have and that we could improve everyone's game-play experience by adding more objectives for them to do.

  • Imagine if every survivor got a free dead hard that lasted 7 seconds multiple times in the round. Welcome to Freddy's world.

  • You see rank 1 Freddy's because those are good, experienced killers playing. I'd like to think any killer with 1000-2000 hours of playtime can hold rank 1 with any killer effortlessly. He's just a derped down version of any other M1 killer and any player with knowledge/skill with mechanics in this game can 4k on any killer. I see it all the time.

Freddy is a bad killer. He's the only killer that can sit, watch a gen be completed and get a pallet slammed in his face by the same survivor simultaneously. You can sleep a survivor and watch them run around in a loop, tap a gen and skill check out of dream state before you can even hit them. You can sleep 2 survivors on the same gen, chase one and 10 seconds later see the other survivor you slept has woke up. Survivors absolutely disrespect Freddy.

In my second week of this game, I played Freddy and OWNED with him in high ranks. I managed to get down to about rank 8 with Freddy and that's when survivors really started to know how to play against Freddy. That's when I started giving Billy a try. I never looked back after switching to Billy. There's just not enough time in a match to effectively kill with Freddy.

  • @SoylentPixie said:

I cannot speak for everyone, but the bottom part of this picture is pretty accurate for me and my friend

The top pic is how any good SWF operates. I'm sure there are casual just "chill and run gens" SWF, and that's fine, that's what it's there for. People have issues with the ridiculously good SWF groups because of how organized they are against a little random killer.

  • If they haven't been hooked, yea I don't have a problem with them getting their couple chances of escape or struggle points. It's kind of whatever though because it's not really that big of a deal TBH.

  • As a killer main, I plan on picking up Lithe or Balanced Landing. I like Sprint Burst but I don't like how it automatically activates when you run. Lithe/BL seem like better exhaustion perks for bad/average/good players since you get distance from the killer and DH is really easy to bait out. I see so many people wasting their DH, they would have just been better off with any other exhaustion perk.

I'm not saying that I think DH sucks, I'm just saying advanced players are really good at looping and may prefer DH for whatever reason and any other mediocre survivor has no business running it. I personally think BL/Lithe are just all around better perks. This is just IMO and I suck at survivor though.

  • I just dodge if it's clearly a 3+ SWF, that's when the game starts to get ridiculous as killer. If it's two separate SWFs of two players, it's less coordinated and I'm okay with it.

  • @AshleyWB said:
I'm not the biggest fan of bond. I'm like the killers gonna chase me at some point and my perks evolve around outplaying or outrunning the killer to waste his time and stay healthy. Iron will is an amazing perk. The amount of times killers have thought i just disappeared is actually mind blowing.

Everyone complains about DS, and it is annoying, but I'd rather people run with DS than Iron Will. It's such a strong perk. I've found that I rely A LOT on hearing as a killer so it's crazy how ninja like people are with Iron Will.

  • Pig is one of my favorite killers. She's considered mid-tier at the moment, but probably towards the bottom once Wraith is buffed. The RBT aren't really used to kill people, although, if a survivor is dumb enough it's a huge bonus if it does.

The RBTs can add huge pressure if you put them on at the right time. Personally, I just use them to stall generator progress for a few seconds, so I use them all up as soon as the survivor is in the dying state. In my experience, her games are very RNG based. You can have a survivor sneaking around the map a good portion of the game trying to remove the RBT or less than 30 seconds if you are unlucky.

That's just my experience with the Pig. If you're looking for rank 1 advice, there's a bunch of good guides on YouTube.

  • The Wraith, like insidious LF, is a killer notorious for camping. If they are just being salty, tell them "QQ GG" and leave the match.

  • Please go play killer a little bit and see if you agree with this logic still. Wiggle isn't there for you to get out, it's there to prevent a killer from holding you the entire match. People would start sabotaging hooks in front of the killer's face and due to reduced wiggle time, survivor's would always escape before a killer could carry you to the next hook. You have to remember, there are some people who main killers. That doesn't sound very fun for a killer, does it?

  • Punishment for survivors: Next 5 rounds will be played against a red bracket nurse.
Punishment for killers: Next 5 rounds, all survivors will be equipped with DS and purple flash lights

Just kidding. I do like the system Blizzard implemented for their game HOTS though. If you disconnect early, you are temporarily placed in a "DCers" bracket. In this bracket, you can only play with other DCers who were also placed in this bracket to get back into the normal ques. What makes this bracket suck is ques take forever to find a game.

This is actually a genius system IMO because it's well balanced. It's harsh enough to deter a huge majority of DCers but mild enough to just be a small inconvenience to people who may have been DC'd due to losing connection or power going out.

  • Yea they do. I get stunned by a pallet when I'm 4 feet away from it.

  • Same with trapper. I've seen dudes literally run in for a save and run right into a trap.

  • So far Billy, Nurse and Huntress are the top listed. What does that tell you? No one wants to play the other killers because they suck. Buff killers!

I suck as survivor, but I dislike playing a good trapper or hag.

  • I'd concur with one of the users above and just remove extra blinks. No killers need nerfs, if anything I'd love to see a patch where every killer gets a buff to make them as useful as Billy/Nurse so people aren't funneled into playing those two killers.

I guess the OP is trolling yes. I cant push rank 12 with my killer because i accept anyone who enters the lobby.

Even when i bump on high ranked SWFs, fully perked (flashligh squad OMG) and having > 1000 hours on their clock when i check their Steam profiles.

But slowly i get better. A while back i couldnt push beyond rank 15.

I highly recommend checking out popular killer mains stream on Twitch. You can learn a lot just by watching the best play for a few hours. It's also helpful to watch survivors on Twitch because you can learn a lot about the other side. YouTube has plenty of guides as well.

  • @PigMainBigBrain said:
This is a troll post, there's no way he's a killer main complaining about killers running perks in any ranks when survivors can be rank 1 and 2 and show up against a rank 15 killer. So by all means, a killer should never be running weak anything just for the sake of "rank", because as a killer you can go up against teams of ANY RANK. There's no way this ice guy is serious.

I am a killer main and I'm 100% serious. This is thread dedicated to all the sweaty killers running ridiculous add-ons/offerings and murdering survivors at low ranks because they can't do it at high ranks.

  • Iron Will is terrible to play against as a killer.

As a survivor I'm gonna go with nurse's calling.

  • @HellDescent

Unless the survivors you are playing are in a SWF group or being carried by high ranked survivors, running top tier add ons is just redundant. Even below average killers can 4k all day at low ranks. I'm gonna link a picture and you tell me that you honestly feel this should be socially acceptable. Keep in mind, this isn't a one time thing, this happens often,

  • @Tsulan said:
What is this new "sweaty" thing? Is this the new term Ochido uses instead of baby killer?

Although this is a rhetorical question, I'm gonna go ahead and entertain you because you and along with a bunch of other people in the DBD community have a fad where you pretend to not know what a elementary gaming definition is. A quick google search you'll find an urban dictionary definition of it:

    "Sweaty Tryhard:

A gamer who takes video games way too seriously, as if $1 million are on the line. The term comes from how some gamers get so intense while playing, that they actually start sweating. They are often found in MOBAs like League of Legends and DOTA, but can also be found in various first person shooters.

If you make even one mistake while playing, a sweaty tryhard will yell at you and call you a *** for it. Instead of trying to help their teammates and give them tips on getting better, they will just insult their teammates for making mistakes. If the sweaty tryhard's team loses, they will blame their teammates 99% of the time, rather than looking at themselves to see what they could have done better.

Sweaty tryhards act like they are pro gamers and feel like they must win every single game, instead of just enjoying the game and not worrying about winning or losing, especially if they are playing by themselves and not with an organized team."

    Source:
    https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Sweaty Tryhard

  • @HellDescent That's just not true and I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree. I have 0 survivor experience and was able to get down to level 15 in less than half a day. Then, I still have to grind out every teachable and unlock them in a bloodweb somewhere. So does every other new player.

The subject that I've brought up multiple times in this thread is killers running crazy add ons and offerings along with optimal FOTM perks from other killers to straight slaughter these teams of new players. Are they wrong? Absolutely not. They are utilizing mechanics and abusing a terrible ranking system implemented in this game. However, I'll stand by what I say 100%, if you're the killer run ultra rare/ebonys against these types of teams, you're lame. Also keep in mind, this isn't like a "once in a while" thing, this happens pretty frequent. So, yes, it does get old fast.

In my mind set, being at a low bracket, that's where I would try add ons that aren't necessarily useful but fun to run. Or play killers that I'm just bad with.

  • @Peasant said:

Why let it get to you? So what are you upset about, really?

Mainly because I don't find pleasure in destroying low ranked/low skilled players so naturally I hold other players to that same standard. Does it upset me? No, it's more of "for real bro?" reaction. It's kind of funny to me so many people in this thread are defending this type of trolly playstyle. To me, that just shows how hypocritical people can be. If a well known streamer/YouTuber does it, they are completely lame/wrong, but if regular players do it then it's, "oh, well why shouldn't we use everything we have in our arsenal against a bunch of scrubs", "people will play how they want to play so it's acceptable" or "it's a pvp game git gud."

  • @CallMeRusty420 said:
You're calling the killers sweaty and yet you're the one who's fuming and complaining about rank 15 games on the forums. Irony is ironic.

Wait, so you're pointing out that I am complaining after I already pointed out I was complaining? User name fits.

I don't understand people who say that killers should equip x y perks.

When killers try to get their first hook 3 gen pops up. What should they do? Hex:Ruin

Some window placements are really bad and not fair. What should they do? Bamboozle

There are so many pallets in the maps. What should they do? Enduring/brutal strength

None of the killers except for the doc have the ability to locate survivors. What should they do? Whispers and BBQ.

Perks are not the solution for common problems and this is true for both the killer side and survivor side.

Pick your poison. Perks are supposed to help with your weaknesses not make you a God. As much as I love whispers, I've grown as a killer and don't rely on it as much as I used to, so now I can switch it to something else like Brutal Strength or Bamboozle.

  • @SpaceCoconut said:
People play the way they want to play.

    Suck it up.

Yea, okay thanks for pointing out the obvious. I'm just letting you know killer to killer, I think you're lame.

  • IMO just save the shards for the Shrine of Secrets and buy teachables on killers/survivors you really have no interest in playing. I was looking at doing the same thing but the amount of time required to grind out the shards for DLC is pretty nasty. Just not worth it.

  • Yea I'm gonna have to agree with that for the common killer. For regular killers, she'll play like a nerfed nurse. For the God-tier killers, I think spirit will be better. She seems to have a really high skill cap that requires knowledge of both survivor and killer. Since you can't see survivors and survivors will get good at hiding their movements against her, it's gonna be a killer based off of predictions. How good you are with her is how good your predictions are.
