Such stupid terms we throw around like "Sweaty" or "Try Hard"Why should you expect people to not throw everything they have at you? Why let it get to you? Is this not a PvP game?
Yea, well it's a legitimate slang in this game created by the community, so get used to it. Also, because you're playing level 15s with little to no perks? That's like the equivalent of me taking my high level character in WoW and wrecking new chars in starting zones. If you enjoy that type of game play, you're probably the type of person whose never participated in competitive PvP.

Once you go past rank the lower ranks (20 - 16) you'll start facing players that actually know how to play the game.Good luck

Yea I understand there's a new bracket we are placed into, but the set up a lot of people are using is something I'd use on a higher ranked SWF group, not a bunch of level 15 scrubs.
-
I'd love to see this feature. You'd probably see more diverse killers out and about. Rank reset would probably be a nightmare for new players though. Also, without trying to make it too complicated, each killer should also start out at 15 otherwise you'll end up with people like this:

-
Just started playing survivor recently. Killer is definitely more irritating for me. As a killer, you have to be on the ball and pressuring the map at all times otherwise you'll lose. One mistake can cost you the entire game and you're punished for every mistake you make. Then, there's the endless pallet factor. Every round you have to burn through tons of pallets smashing over your face just to do it all over again next round. Then, there's the RNG factor like your hex being destroyed in 5 seconds or having a killer that sucks on a certain map.
I'll admit after playing killer for so long, it's nice to be on the opposite side for a change. Plus, I can't say I've had too many jump scares lately and Michael scared the poop out of me earlier. The creeper literally came out of thin air once and the other time I just happened to turn my screen and saw him stalking me. For the most part, it's much more relaxed for me. There's been rounds where I've done 2-3 gens and didn't even see the killer haha.
-
If you're camping and it bothers them so much, they can equip BT. They don't because it doesn't directly benefit themselves. You're objective is to kill, if they cry about it then oh well.
-
Here's a hint, if you're across a pallet and MM is staring at you, he's not thinking, he's stalking.
-
It's weird to me people are literally getting mutated and hung by meat hooks in every game yet a little cleavage offends people. Second, I understand you feel there might be a lack of cultural sympathy, but if you enjoy this game, that's just something you're gonna have to learn to ignore if you want to play games not created around your region.

The perk ruin does that, if you cant apply map pressure thats on you no one wants a game lasting 20-30 mins learn to patrol gens instead of staying near the hooked person then surprisingly you get gen rushed . High rank is supposed to be competitive not no chilled games.
Even the best killers get gen rushed, that's why you run into so many nurses.

It's the survivor's version of Bloodwarden. Very RNG and situational. It sucks TBH.A 100% chance is RNG to you? LOL. Okay.
Yes dude, RNG in the situation you would use it. Think about it for 3 seconds before you jump to conclusions. If you're hooked first, it won't do you any good and now you basically run with 3 perks. If you haven't saved someone, you can't use it. If you managed to save someone and then get hooked, there is a high possibility other survivors are in the area that can unhook you. At that point, you don't want to kobe because you'll suffer a nasty debuff.
Sure it can be a game changer, but you're making it sound like it's some OP talent and it's not.

IMHO I think killers should at a bare minimum get a BP bonus for playing SWF groups. Then with 4 survivor SWF groups, killer should definitely get a handicap bonus, like doubling the gen times. I also believe SWF groups should be que'd with the highest survivor's rank. It's already a disadvantage to play against a SWF, but lower ranked killers shouldn't have to play against level 2s, 3s and 4s just because other survivors ranked 11 are in a group with them.
I don't think solo survivors should get shafted and play against a buffed killer because they are playing in a lobby with a SWF group though.
-
I don't feel like the devs are active enough in this game to have a feature like this work. Currently you can use any perk on any killer. This encourages players to branch our and try different killers and different builds. Imagine if, for example, the Nurse had exclusive ability like BBQ. You'd only see nurses running around. Then another character like Freddy, whose already weak, got a garbage ability. You'd never see Freddy ever again.
-
I don't play survivor all that much but from the perspective of a killer, I'd imagine you guys would hate other survivors that unhook you when the killer is still in the proximity of the hook. Unless you have BT or the killer is face camping, playing like this is just dumb. It's crazy that people assume the killer will see someone on BBQ and run straight to them, that's just not always the case.
tl;dr: survivor's that force tunneling
btw, get mad at your team for playing like this, not the killer.
-
You can try Enduring and Franklin's Demise and see if that is a little more satisfying for you. Personally if I get frustrated with killer, I just play another game or go watch Twitch. If Nurse's mechanic didn't annoy me so much, I'd probably try and get good with her and play her for a few matches.
-
Remove the hatch completely, have the generators auto-complete if one survivor remains. Then the last survivor can just escape through the exit gate like normal.
-
Here's my ideas for Freddy:
*Survivors affected while transitioning to the dream world will have a chance to affect nearby survivors with Dream Demon within 5 meters.
*Activating Dream Demon on a awake survivor will disrupt any current action being performed and delay actions from being performed for 3 seconds (except running, vaulting, throwing pallets).
*Failing healing skill checks will not remove the survivor from the dream world.
*Chance for generator skill checks to occur while in dream world slightly decreased.
*"wake up" increased by 3 seconds. -
As a color blind person, I will happily use this perk if they buff it. Honestly, I'd just be super happy if the perk made the scratch marks yellow or that blue color the hooks were during the BBQ event.
-
1.) Don't forget the first rule of the forums:

-
How about this:
You're totem is active at the start of the game but will spawn on a random timer between 2-5 minutes on any of the dull totems on the map. That means the Hex will be active while survivors are trying to repair gens at the start of the game but can't immediately cleanse the totem. During this phase, survivors can run around cleansing dull totems. If they cleanse all the dull totems before the Hex totem spawns, then the perk is disabled and doesn't spawn. If there are remaining dull totems, then the Hex will spawn on one of the remaining totems. This will give more experienced survivors the ability to just power through the hex while less experienced survivors can start cleansing the totems.
IMO this is a balanced buff. It will generate enough pressure on the map so gen rushing is significantly reduced, give the killers enough edge to generate kills without feeling so rushed, give the survivors the ability to still rid the Hex and generate more BPs for everyone in the game due to more chases/rescues etc. It'd be a win-win for everyone.
-
I'd love to but I've been perpetually grinding BPs for teachable perks since I bought this game.
-
As a killer main myself, I don't really care about the perk itself, it's the impact it has on the game. I understand from your perspective why you think the perk is fine. One time use and prevent 1 hook, big deal right?
Look at it from the killer's perspective though. Pretty much every killer has to run Ruin or some sort of gen regression ability. The rate of generators getting completed through the game is extremely fast. It's not abnormal for 2 gens to be completed by the first time you have your first hook. So, you finally get your first survivor down and the survivor uses d-strike, stuns you and runs to another loop. The time wasted chasing this survivor again is just the nail in a coffin because the other 3 will continue to pound out gens while the survivor you are chasing again continues to loop you.
It's bad enough to where it's better to just down a survivor that you know has d-strike and leave them in the dying state (don't hook) just to generate some pressure so other survivors will quit working on gens and come rescue that survivor. If you're close enough to a hook, you can "dribble" a survivor with d-strike if you know they have it. IMO, that's not working as intended so it doesn't surprise me d-strike will be nerfed. That's just one survivor, now add in 2, 3, 4 survivors and this just becomes a terrible perk for a killer to play against.
In the end, you need to play what perk works best for you. No one can rightfully get mad at you for using a mechanic that the devs put in the game. But keep this in mind when a killer uses tactics against you that you may feel are cheap like face camping or tunneling.

Also please stop de-pipping on purpose, it ruins the games for newer players.I don't. There's only 2 killers I'm okay with and have perks with, the rest are <level 10. I just suck with the rest of the killers. Instead of grinding my BPs on my good killers, I do it on the killers I'm bad with. I'm terrible with my new killers and I honestly don't have any incentive to stay higher rank. So I'll happily depip if it improves my gameplay in the long run.
I was just asking because these experienced survivors smash my newb killers. I'm still also relatively a newbie.

I love playing Killer. I love the Challenge of playing Killer. I've played since the beginning. SO usually, most games are a cakewalk. But when I come across a real challenge, I get stressed out (Not usually like, Angry, but just Intense) and then I get super tryhard, which then makes me slightly shakey. This game does a great job at making my heart race. Any tips to avoid that? The more frustrated you get, the more terrible you'll play and increase your frustration. Play killer is frustrating, and when I start to get irritated, I'll go watch Twitch or play another game until I am more relaxed.
-
I understand the frustration. Maybe you could watch certain killers stream? One of my favorite killers is Zubatlel and he completely annihilates survivors. Any "skill" I have in this game, I picked up because I watched streamers play. You're playing against people with thousand of hours. It's a frustrating process, but learning this game does take time especially when you play against these type of experienced players.

NOED like DS is a crutch and should just be removed from the game. It allows a bad player to succeed where they should have failed. At the start of a round, if the killer immediately finds a survivor and chases him, goes through a few pallets, kills him and then hooks him, it's not uncommon to see 3 generators completed without Ruin. If a survivor notices there's a hex perk up, people will stop doing gens and crawl around looking for it. Why not use that same logic with NOED? Because survivors would rather gen rush, open a gate and GTFO rather than be proactive about it and complain later when they feel the consequences.
When a killer's NOED activates, survivors will get mad at the killer. If every survivor would quit rushing for 10 seconds and go cleanse a totem, NOED wouldn't even be an issue. There's certain killers that I do use NOED on and when survivors say, "lol NOED" then I say, "lol gen rush" back. It's not a crutch perk and people that say this must be a survivor main to feel that way. There's a yin and yang to everything.
-
I just suck with clown. He's kind of a tactical killer and you need to know maps/loops to counter looping. Then you have to be accurate with the bottles. Any time I play him, I convince myself he's a gimped version of Huntress and end up switching back to her.
-
Pallet Face
-
I only play killer but I don't have a "list". This is just a video game man. I know this game can be frustrating at times especially if you have people trolling you. Anything the survivors do to you to intentionally make you mad is just them using mechanics the devs implemented in the game for them to utilize. There's a flipside, you can return the favor as killer.
At the end of the match, it's always gonna be 4 people criticizing how you play and not themselves because they are the survivors and you're the killer. Just play how you want to play. If they do things that you feel are BS, then BS them back. Tunnel and camp them. If you really want them to get salty about it, then tell them to "git gud" and leave before they can reply. It's all mind games. Don't wear your feelings on your sleeves when on the internet. Good luck!
-
I think the issue in the video you linked is how extremely asinine the totem spawns can be. His NOED just popped and it was immediately destroyed. They need to buff totem perks so they can't be so quickly destroyed. As much as I like my totem perks like Ruin, there's a reason they are totem perks. I don't agree with a killer being able to keep them all game but I also don't agree survivors should be able to completely rid a killer of an entire perk in <30 seconds.
-
IMO just fix the horrible hit boxes and add a crosshair. People that want crosshairs can easily get one and never be detected. I say just make it official and add them already so everyone can be legit and there's no more controversy over it.
-
It's just a salty survivor spewing their typical toxic trash because you killed them. If they call you a tunneler, just call them a gen rusher. The idea of calling them a gen rusher will sound preposterous to them because they are doing the objective and that's the point. You're doing the same thing. Honestly, just play whatever way is effective for you because if you try and play by their "rules", you're just giving them advantages. When they are tea bagging you at the gate, you will wish you didn't let that little injured survivor hop off instead of whacking them because you didn't want to be a "tunneler".
Really with salty trolls there's no point of logical thinking or reasoning so I find it's best to fight fire with fire and troll back or just say "GG" and leave the match so they don't get any satisfaction.

You guys all got low scores. The only reason the first two survivors got that high of a score is because of their BBQ invitation, otherwise everyone would be sitting at around 14k points.
Looks like they gen rushed but you managed to snag a few kills without much of a chase.

Yeah Doc is fine. The only Killer I think is a tad overpowered is Hillbilly but I love playing him so whatever. How is he OP? He gets looped just like the rest of the killers. He's definitely one of the strongest, but throwing around the word OP just encourages QQs. If his mobility is nerfed, then he's gonna be weaker than LF.
-
Borrowed Time is such a strong perk. Not sure why more people don't use it TBH. I'm sure you want the ability to deal with face campers yourself, but the bottom line is you're in a position to work in a team. You already have DS/SB/DH/BL which can make it difficult for killers to catch you in the first place to prevent being face camped.
If I am desperate to get a kill, I'll camp once the gates are open. Borrowed time always ruins that for me. Granted, I'm not that great of a killer but still it's such a good way to battle camping.
-
To be fair, the hit boxes are just messed up in the game. I swear the hit boxes are made up oddly shaped polygons. I mostly notice it on Huntress when I play her. There's times where I go, "HOW did that hit?!" and "HOW DID THAT NOT HIT?!". This inconsistency makes it hard for me to want to play Huntress. The other thing I notice it on is pallets. Sometimes I'll be standing 2 feet away from a pallet and be stunned by it.
I would love to see a hitbox revamp in this game.
-
Freddy is one of my favorite killers. When I play him, there's 2 things that I wish were changed about it.
1.) His inability to interact with people at all when they aren't in dream state. As a killer, you're what people run from. It just feels bad when you watch survivors heal or complete gens right in front of you and Freddy can't do anything about it. They have time to finish a gen and run to a pallet all before they get pulled into dream state. Then, they can run off and instantly break out of dream state. This makes Freddy feel so useless.
2.) How easy survivors can break away from dream state. Freddy's greatest strength is also is greatest weakness. I've had survivors run from me, throw a pallet down, run to a gen and instantly get a skill check and remove their dream state. It's just crazy how much of a match you waste trying to keep people asleep as Freddy.
I think if they addressed the above 2 issues somehow, Freddy would be much better without making him overly powerful.
-
Why is this even a complaint? Most of the time Ruin just spawns in the middle of a field, 2 ft away from a survivor's spawning point. This killer had the smarts to find his ruin, take the time to run to it and trap it. Good for him, it was smart. You have 3 other teammates, maybe you should utilize them?
-
People should really play equally as survivor/killer before making suggestions.
-
I've seen big name streamers DC matches because they had the RBT applied to them at end game. The pressure it generates is huge.
-
Honestly I don't know why this bothers everyone so much. I only play killer and survivors tea bag me all the time. It's not like they are personally attacking you, it's them spamming a button on their keyboard. Not only that, it's not like they can stop and send you a /tell in game, it's the only means of communication lol. They tea bag each other for "thank you" or "heal me" too. If this bothers you, then the Internet must be a terrifying place to be in.
I don't mind it. It gives me the opportunity to get extra points or sometimes even an extra kill. I've had survivors tea bag me and body block each other at the exit so I could get an extra kill. It's hilarious when that happens and so satisfying. It's like your childhood story, "the turtle and the hare" applied in a video game. People that automatically leave the game always win, but sometimes the cocky survivor's action catch up to them and it's awesome.
-
If tunneling is toxic, then gen rushing is toxic.
IMO there's 2 main things killers do that are toxic, which is full on face camp and toxicity at the end of the match in chat.
-
@ToxicTapp said:
Wait so pallet looping, and going to pallets is toxic now? You're job is to survive. A killers job is to kill. I think players get so overwhelmed in their own salt they just blab whatever non-sense comes to their head at chat.

Name: Terrifying Presence
Description: Your mere presence send shiver down other's spines. While a chase is active, your terror radius is increase by 35/45/75% but the action speed of survivors in increased by 35/45/75%.

I think you just get use to this game. Man when I first saw someone stream this game and hook someone, my first thought was, "#########?!". It was insanely gruesome. Huntress and her humming lullaby was pretty eerie too. Now I barely notice any of it.
-
It's funny how people think playing killer is a chore. I've tried survivor a couple times and nothing about it is fun to me. I've been debating on trying out survivor again but the thought of doing gens over and over just repulses me.
-
Most of the time tunneling is a survivor's excuse to blame their badness on the killer. Half the time I'm "tunneling" it's because I walk 3 feet away from the hook and your ding bat teammate thought that was a good time to unhook you. Of course I'm gonna turn back around and smack you again. The killer doesn't owe you any courtesy to "play by the rules". Getting mad at game mechanics won't help you at all, either learn to loop or learn to hide.
