"I still have yet to see where BHVR themselves had said anything about the new content featuring LGBT in any way."

    https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1271526607828779009

They didn't explicity say that they'd add LGBTQ characters but they heavily suggested it.

Well yea, I know they're open to it, and that's great, but that post is from June and I specifically mentioned this new content.

  • I still have yet to see where BHVR themselves had said anything about the new content featuring LGBT in any way. People seem to have run away with this narrative that they are using that to promote their new content, but that's just not true from what I know.

If the new content does come out and does feature an LGBT character then awesome! If it sucks content-wise then it should still be stated. That shouldn't be a "shield" from criticism but it's also stupid to completely cut LGBT content because it might be "used". People using "political" reasons to justify not having LGBT content are the problem, and will always be the problem. If there's problems when it comes out, then hey, it'll be dealt with then, but trying to kill the idea before it can even get out of the gate is abhorrent.

  • Can't believe they jailed my man @poomanchu for talking about butts 😭

  • @123master said:

Every time you escape you don't get that much blood points and yes I fixed 3 the gens And opened all the gates thats not fair I think I got 15.987 or 21.537

Sounds like you just did gens but didn't rescue anybody or get into any chases. That's where a lot of the points are apart from escaping

  • Jane and Kate. The only two survivors with "extra" physics

  • @Lefrongo said:

I was just playing as Pig right now and one of them managed to escape with a bear trap on them, idk ######### is even going on with this game anymore.

The reverse bear trap has to be active for it to prevent them from leaving. If you put a RBT on someone after the gens are completed it's pointless as there's no way to activate it. Someone with an active RBT can still leave through the hatch however

  • Yea, this happened a couple times to me last night. The game would take a while to load in and then it would immediately go to the end game results screen as "Escaped" and I would lose a pip for it. Go back to main menu and it says "Game canceled because someone disconnected".

  • "The game also favors survivors now. Why the [BAD WORD] are we making this game skewed one way or the other? Is it really that hard to make an asymmetrical game, exactly as it says in the name. Make it EVEN."

I'm not sure you know what those words mean..

(Indoor maps are my favorite as a killer. I love taking different routes and cutting survivors off)

I love the original alien series it really is one of the best examples of great sci-fi (with a compelling, believable, bad ass, well written female protagonist) but I just don't think a xenomorph fits into the lore of DBD.

    It would feel kinda forced.

I don't think a xenomorph would really have anything more unique either to make it anything other than a demogorgan clone with fewer abilities.

  • If the killer is running Stridor then you're still going to hear sounds. Iron Will reduces your pain volume by 100, Stridor increases it by 50. So your volume would be at 50

Well that just leaves the question of why killers bother closing lockers when they close on their own.

Honestly I'm not sure it's for any logical reason, it's probably just for video game reasons.

For video game reasons, yes, and also the Entity wants things to go a certain way. The survivors have to have hope that they can survive, and purposely frustrating the killers will add to their bloodlust and anger. All of these emotions are things the Entity feeds off of. It's a "game" to both Entity and the sense that it's a video game

  • Unless it resets everything in the trial (like pallets, totems, health states, etc) I don't think it would be a good idea. For example, if it didn't reset things you could hit someone, let them run a bit, rewind time, and hit them again. Same with pallets. They could drop a pallet, you rewind time to reset the survivor's position, but now the pallet is gone. That would mean the game would also constantly have to be recording everything that happens in a trial, and eh, I don't know if that would work.

No he definitely handed over a good chunk of control to the survivor in certain situations. Also the "good PH will hit most of their POTD" is bs. I hit 3 dead on yesterday and none of them counted, latency I guess but it's sad to see that the biggest frustration with POTD hasn't been addressed. The hitbox is so thin and any bit of latency throws it off completely. I felt completely cheated when I saw the survivor clearly inside the zone.

With his ranged attack you also have to take into account the fact that the "beam" doesn't hit all at once. It's a wave. So a survivor can be in the "beam" towards the end and still escape it because the wave hasn't propagated to them yet. The spikes coming out of the ground aren't just a visual, it shows where the "damage active" part of the attack actually is. I usually offset my ranged attack sometimes because most survivors will anticipate it at pallets and such. So they'll dodge where the attack would normally be into my offset attack and I land hits. Equipping "I'm All Ears" also helps a ton with x-ray hits

  • Is the survivor using Dance with Me (stops scratch marks from appearing for 3 seconds after a fast vault)? Are they using Lightweight (makes scratch marks fade faster)? They could be running in zig-zags to spread their scratch marks out, or there could be multiple people running the same direction, which would also spread scratch marks out. I'm a Killer main and I haven't had a problem following scratch marks recently.

  • A little of both. Bad luck mainly, but if you own a lower tier version of a perk the bloodweb is going to prioritize putting the higher level versions of those perks up before new perks. I always try and get those perks maxed out and out of the way to make room for other perks to spawn

"Fighting" is what I've gotten, but it's used as a form of encouragement to tell people to keep going.

    Capture.PNG

Pronounced "pie-ting" I assume? Is the new survivor going to be a professional gamer of sorts?

    It has to be fnaf?

I've been keeping up with the lore since the game first released, please explain how this relates to fnaf.

I'm glad we can finally shut down all the fnaf theories with this

  • Capture.PNG

The way the wiki describes it is as a volume bar. Iron Will reduces your volume by 100, Stridor increases it by 50. The volume bar can go above 100 as well (Stridor with no Iron Will = 150)

OP means which challenges you can just do later for BP if you're low on them

Oh, gotcha. I usually just do the entire thing (only have 1 challenge left on the first page). I haven't started this page yet

  • I'm confused by this. You don't have to spend bloodpoints to unlock the challenges?

  • Pyramid Head, mainly because I'm lowkey using this game as a stand-in for another Silent Hill game... (But nah, I actually like using him)

  • The way I've played Twins when I have to do challenges with them is I usually chase survivors with Charlotte as an M1 killer. Once I get that first hit I'll position Charlotte somewhere that blocks a window or vault or hallway and finish the chase with Victor. I'll look around a bit with Victor to see if there's anyone else nearby and if there is I'll latch on to them. I then pick the downed person up and hook them. Rinse, repeat. There's also an instance last night where there were 3 survivors left and they had gotten the doors open and decided to hang out as they do. Got Victor out and latched on to one and "Surprise, you can't escape anymore!". Got me at least one more kill (which I could see that pairing extremely well with Blood Warden now that I think about it... 🤔)

It's not tunnelling, it's not camping, and it's not slugging. It's using two different people to corral survivors and it's pretty funny chasing someone through a building with Victor and watch them come around a corner to see it blocked by Charlotte. Locking people in closets with Victor also never gets old, haha

That's what I'm suggesting. Just only have it not reduce DS.

Ah, gotcha, I read that wrong

  • First stun is how it's supposed to be. You were in your normal mode so you're the same as any other Killer. Second time I don't think you fully charged your slam and I'm pretty sure it only breaks if you sprint into it, not just smashing it. No bugs from what you showed

Say if the rescuer was on death hook, would you rather go for the person who just got unhooked, or the rescuer who's dead hook?

Most likely the person that's injured. Especially since if the rescuer dumb enough to rush an unhook I can most likely down them later. I will usually down the unhooked person and start a chase with the rescuer, but if it's going to take me too far away I'll go back for the downed person.

  • @Toybasher said:

IMHO Enduring should only not affect DS stuns. Wiggle out stuns, head on stuns, etc. should be reduced via enduring.

Head-On can be annoying sometimes but I find it funny when I get hit with it. I do think the hitbox of it is a little weird. (You can try to bait it, get Head-On'd nowhere near the locker, etc.) It should be made a little more consistent where exactly the stun radius is since as I mentioned I've been stunned while standing off to the side, I've had what should be a stun not actually stun, etc.

Enduring only reduces pallet stuns. It doesn't reduce perk stuns at all

I have to say that I love the inclusion of non-binary characters down the bottom despite practically zero games having non-binary characters.

It shows a nice bit of hope for the future that I appreciate.

There's getting less and less of a reason to not include it in games now, so hopefully soon it'll be more common

  • @QwQw said:

I don't why you want to know this.

But I usually make a male character my first playthrough because I find it more relatable.

No real reason really. Just a conversation starter/curiosity

  • Whenever I play killer the first thing I usually do (if I'm not playing a trap killer) is head towards the farthest gen from me. 90% of the time that's where at least one survivor is going to be

  • When stalking multiple people at once he could have an efficiency debuff like when there's multiple survivors on a gen.

  • Pyramid Head + I'm All Ears = X-ray hits for days

  • The maps are set up in a grid system, and as long as a survivor keeps changing grid squares they won't get the idle crows. Now if a survivor keeps going in circles in the same grid square they will get them, but so long as they keep looping the map they'll be safe

  • This was such a joy to read. Thank you for your contribution and may the sauce always rain in your favor

Yes I know how it works. I'm not seeing sparks when I use it however and have heard that is something I should be seeing. That combined with the challenge hasn't completed yet when I think I have seen at least 4 generator explosions in a match is why I am wondering if it is not working right.

A gen that was kicked with Overcharge will spark just the same as normally damaged gen. Make sure you're holding the "Damage Generator" button until you see sparks coming from it. It'll be obvious. It'll also explode the same as a normal missed skillcheck, but the damage the gen receives will be more, but only for that first skill check

It also has unlimited uses with no cooldown and can be applied to all gens you kick

    Myers needs a buff/rework tbh.

GF can only expose one person at a time so he's not that strong.

Myers? Do you mean Ghostface? When Myers (The Shape) reaches tier 3 everyone is exposed regardless if you stalked them or not. Ghostface has to "mark" certain people to expose them. Leaning from corners doubles the rate at which he marks them

  • @CajunStirfry said:

The exposed status effect for Scream and Myers is far too long. The max should be like 20 seconds since they already have to be close up to the survivor to enable that ability. All 4 survivors can be easily downed within the time given, let alone one.

This is your second topic saying Exposure is too long. Did you not get the answer you wanted the first time?

  • @HollowsGrief said:

So, was this changed on purpose or a bug? I'm genuinely curious because it has been like this for a little while now.

What do you mean? Some killers have unique POV chase music (Demogorgan, Clown, etc.) while others have unique chase music for the survivors, but it's standard music for the killer (which needs to be changed <.<). Some don't have unique chase music at all.

Which killer were you playing as?

  • @WheresTheGate said:

What things do you see survivors do that you simply can't understand. I'm going to ask everyone to refrain from calling things stupid and such as I am hoping to see people explain doing things others don't understand. Explanations are generally more clear when people don't feel attacked.

    I'll start....

The survivors that confuse me the most are the ones that get slugged and never move from the spot they were slugged. I'm not talking about someone that heals first. I'm talking about someone that simply doesn't move at all. I personally can not come up with any thing that even seems remotely strategic about doing that.

They're probably recovering. If you're busy chasing someone else they'll recover instead of leaving that way someone else could potentially come and poke them to get them back up. Trying to crawl away usually just wastes recover time as it's usually pretty easy to find a downed survivor.

  • This happened to me when I lost a game (all 4 survivors escaped) and had the "Entity Displeased" result. I noticed my weapon was gone and was like, Geez, Entity taking away my weapon privileges for losing so bad :'(

  • @Morganth said:

Was playing a game as survivor. As the last generator was completed, the Killer, a Wraith, hit a survivor at the exact moment the generator popped. A few moments later, the Killer hit me while I was body-blocking for the survivor opening the exit gate and I instantly went down. I didn't have the exposed status effect. However, a curse marker appeared. Sure enough, in the post-lobby, I saw that the Killer had Hex: No One Escapes Death.

When the killer hit the survivor right as the gen popped it might've been timed where technically the survivor got hit right before the hex activated. So they got lucky and got hit before noed actually activated

Noed doesn't get revealed until someone gets hit with it actually being active, so unfortunately you were the one that revealed it to everyone else.

  • Where and how specifically? I play on PS5 and haven't experienced any frame dips as killer or survivor. Even playing the PS4 version on my PS5 I haven't noticed anything (My GF plays the PS4 version to keep her trophies consistent, I play the PS5 version)

  • I always think it's cute when you have that one survivor that runs out into the open to get the killer's attention and try and get chased. I either ignore them entirely and just think "I'll save you for last", or it turns out they suck at chases and go down really quickly. If I do see someone run out into the open I always go straight for the nearby gens because usually their friends are there working.

And then they try extra hard to get my attention and I just keep playing hard to get ;)

  • If you can memorize indoor maps then she's really good there. The Game you have to be extra careful with where you're pointing the camera because I can't tell you how many times I've tried to blink through a single wall and end up on a different floor.

If you're just starting with her then big open maps are her strong suit. Autohaven Wreckers I do pretty well with her.

Asylum would be good to practice with her too as it's mainly open with a good indoor section that has a second story, so you can practice with some indoor movement there

    Just my opinions

  • It sounds more like the ban timer won't expire at all from what he's saying. Like he waits the 72 hours and once it's 0 it resets to 72 hours without actually letting him back in. That's how I'm interpreting it as, but if he can respond and clarify that would help

  • Killer because the camera is easier to deal with than the 3rd-person survivor camera. I grew up playing a lot of FPS games, so first-person cameras just work better for me. Now I still try and play both, but I'm definitely better at killer

  • Capture.PNG

This is normal. Lockers only muffle the sound, not completely hide it. I've found quite a few survivors from a whimper in a closet, especially if you're wearing headphones or have Stridor equipped.

  • @Mineguy said:

I searched now 8 times and there aren't any. Is it bugged on switch?

You have to be within a certain range to see them as well. Something like 16 meters or so, otherwise they are invisible. Also from what I've heard there is only one spawned on a map at a time, so if someone else has the challenge as well they can see the glyph and potentially take it. I've found all three of mine by chance, so they are there. (You also have to hold the interact button to get it. Just pressing it will cancel the animation)

Interesting. I know that huntress is harder on console, but i dont struggle that much with her. I have a lot more trouble with demos shred, victor and blight.

Huntress is hard on console because there's no crosshair, so it's hard to judge where the "middle" of your screen is, so I end up hitting trees and obstacles all the time. Trying to judge the arc on longer throws is also hard.

Demogorgan's shred is fairly easy to hit for me because you don't have to be as precise. He has a pretty wide "grab" area that hits survivors. The hardest thing with him is trying to judge how much to charge the shred because it affects distance. Victor is alright to use as he also has a pretty big "grab" area and I end up grabbing survivors I probably should've missed. Blight I haven't played yet so I can't comment there

That looks like really lag to me, even the hook animation froze for a second.

I was about to point this out too. It's some pretty extreme lag because the hook animation froze for a few seconds before it actually registered. Now as for what caused the lag you can speculate all day, but it was definitely lag based
