Are you talking about grunts of pain or grunts from doing actions (cleansing, window hopping, etc)? Action-based grunts are not silenced, and as Mandy said, only grunts of pain are muted, and only when injured. When dying your pain sounds come back

Is it a new thing, to carry the last survivor to the hatch and close it in front of his/her face?
happend to me the second time.
Only time I really do that is if I'm about to Mori them. And even then it's usually only because I got annoyed at some point with them. Otherwise I'll just kill them on the spot
-
There's two different layers to maps. There's the "realm" which is a location, then there's the map variations within the realm. So Autohaven Wreckers is the realm, and five variations, or maps, within it. The offerings just take you to the realm, but it's random which specific map you'll get
-
I don't know about the mobile version, but I know the standard version had Autohaven locked for awhile to fix different issues about 3 weeks ago. I guess the mobile version Autohaven is still out of rotation, but once it's fixed the offering should work normally. Be sure your game is fully updated as well

That only occurs if it's one of your first few games against that killer or you're new to the game, so once you've played for a bit those hints won't show up.
Nah, they still show up, though super rarely. I've been playing for years and I still get the killer hint every now and then. If it does show up it's always the first hint, so it's easy to miss

If all the survivors get slugged at 5 gens then it's purely the survivor team's fault. As much times as it can take for -most- killer's to get 4 downs the other survivors should have been able to pick someone else up.
Obviously there's a couple killer's that can down super quick, but that's the exception
-
I remember working so hard at this one to get my Wraith skin. It's in the store now, but at the time you best believe I was proud of that one after grinding out 40 or so vials to get it
-
If a skill check triggers as you leave an activity (repairing, healing, sabotaging, etc) it will auto-fail the skill check. That is intentional. Sometimes there's lag so the server doesn't know you've actually stopped the activity, but will still trigger a skillcheck.

the arm flailing on hook. does that mean, "come get me" or "don't come get me the killer is nearby"?
Used to be "Don't come" like several years ago, but the universal meaning has been lost a long time ago, so it doesn't really mean anything anymore

For me
lf the opposite side is stuck because of a bug.
Try and help them free themselves if you can and let them go.
I had a person get stuck in a closet once and tried to help them get out. Some weird thing happened when I hit them as they went into the closet and they got pushed to the backside of the closet, but that was against a wall, so the got trapped in between the wall and closet. I could open the closet and see them, but because it was "empty" I couldn't grab them. Tried to quickly finish the game and they were a good sport and hung out the whole time, so at the very end I tried smacking them to get them out but never could. Had to kill them with the end game collapse and I apologized because I know how much that sucks, but they were cool with it
-
Wraith was the first Killer I mained way back when I first started playing, so he always has a special place in my heart
-
That's actually not a bad idea. Definitely not base kit, but a pink addon for sure
-
I actually managed to kill someone with Pyramid Head after they escaped once. The crawled out and had the Escaped icon on their name, but they were tormented and on death hook, and the game gave me the prompt to kill them.... so i did. Through the Entity's spikes, and the Escaped icon turned into a skull
I can't imagine the rage
-
I really only play this game as an in-between nowadays. I choose another game to play as my "main" game (currently it's Control), and I play DBD in between. Like, I don't have as much time as I want to play Control, but I do have some time to play a game, I'll play DBD. That way I'm still playing, but I'm not getting burned out on it or frustrated by always playing DBD, and if I do get frustrated I always have something else I can focus on instead.
-
Yes, can't be too careful about downloading things from the internet
But yes, her arms are definitely broken. It looks like the used a pose from a different survivor that just doesn't work with her model
-
Why is the file a PDF? I'm not downloading that

For actual starters (a lot of these builds you have to level up other characters first) Feng's base perks are great.
Technician lets you not worry as much about failing skill checks while still punishing you for failing them (extra regression), so you can safely learn but still have some pressure to not mess up
Alert gives you some basic yet useful info about the Killer's whereabouts
Lithe helps you out in chases while teaching you the mechanics of Exhaustion.
And what's great is you don't have to grind a ton to get all of these perks.

As a survivor main, I originally thought PH was a top tier killer, and would be as common as spirit. However, he does have more weaknesses due to his speed, and the stand still after using his power. He’s still pretty strong, and fun to play against, but once you learn how to force him to use his power and miss, it’s very hard for him to beat you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy to keep him from downing you, it takes skill and practice, and quick reflexes. What I learned to do to beat him are basically two things:
- Drop pallets early. He doesn’t have time to break them, and will not use his power against you due to the distance it gives you. (Wasting his time)
- Path unpredictably while breaking LOS. PH relies heavily on predicting where you will be (similar to nurse) instead of where you are. If you can confuse him once or twice, he will then waste time on loops he can’t see through looking for you in weird places. Use this to then just straight line run to the next loop where you apply the 1st strategy again.
A good PH player will give you a run for your money though. You can’t make many mistakes or he’ll eat your lunch.
I actually like it when survivors break line of sight with me, especially around rocks and such, as I can use a range attack through the obstacle and because the survivor also blocked -their own- line of sight, they have far less time to react. Doing this paired with the addon that increases your attack range and I score quite a few blind hits, especially since I know around rocks and such that survivors tend to hug them when they run around them.
Another tip for pallets and windows, if you know the survivor is going to for it attack early. Just as the person said to drop pallets early, attacking early can also score hits as they typically are expecting you to wait and attack them in the animation lock

Trophy unlocks aren't handled by BHVR, that's a Sony thing. As far as Sony is concerned the PS4 and PS5 version of the games are two separate games, so the trophies are also handled separately. However because DBD uses online profiles, when your profile loads in and certain criteria are met then some trophies will auto-unlock, but sometimes you have to "refresh" the system to get a trophy. Like say you have a P1 character, but the trophy for getting a P1 doesn't unlock? Level up that character one time and it should unlock then because you just told the trophy system that it's actually supposed to be unlocked.
For trophies to be unlocked you have to trigger the appropriate event to unlock it. Some while some trophies will unlock fairly quickly (100 kills, kill 1 more and it's see that it's unlocked for example) unfortunately some trophies you will have to recreate the event to unlock it (Blink 3 times and grab a survivor because that's a 1 time event)

Haha, no no, that wasn't supposed to be sarcastic, though I can understand why you read it that way. It's not an important bug for sure, but it's still funny to mention. No malice intended

Wait.. am I missing something here because I'm genuinely confused.
If I'm not mistaken, the parts I've circled are parts of Kate's model that don't line up with the cosmetics correctly, so there's "holes" there. Gaps where nothing is rendered

Lukeeboy = entitled survivor, who hides all game in a Bush with a key and then says GG at the end of the match 🙄
Did you really just create an account to say that? How petty
-
Oh yea, it's definitely fun to stomp on survivors every now and then
-
This game is dark enough as it is. I really don't feel like playing an entire map like old Gideon downstairs which was basically a black screen the whole time.
-
Whenever I get into games with a designated "runner" then yea, I ignore them until the end pretty much. Usually a team will have a runner because the rest of them are not that good at chases, so ignoring the runner will make their team fall apart pretty quickly. It's like instead of trying to break down this locked door I'm just going to go through the open window on the side
-
David because every time I see one I know they're going to that survivor that likes to get up in the Killer's face and point farm, and they always seem to be -just- on the edge of my attack range

The rules can vary a lot and it's really annoying, waving your arms while hooked can be consideres you're being camped or be free to be picked, dropping your items being the last survivor and being in a chase is a signal for mercy, sometimes just crouching and facing up, it is funny, some Pig likes snoot booping, which I include myself, if the killer moves swiftly their camera and swings his weapon while being carried and you're wiggling, asks to stop wiggling because they're giving you the hatch.
In addition to the "stop wiggling" thing, if you've already given up and the killer notices you're not wiggling sometimes they will stop and "shimmy" side to side, basically telling you to wiggle. If they do this and stay still and let you stun them you should stay and follow them. Most times they'll let you escape in some fashion (the hatch or allowing you to open the door)
Had a game a couple days ago where a Killer was doing this to a Claudette that was the last person alive (I was spectating) and the Killer kept downing them, picking them up, and carrying them a super long distance, passing numerous hooks and such, obviously trying to give them the hatch. The Claudette must've been new though because they escaped 4 times and kept running away, and the killer kept downing them. Poor Claudette never got the hint that the Killer was trying to take them somewhere specific and to just wait, so eventually the Killer stopped trying and the next down, hooked them immediately

Are you talking about the true invisibility the Wraith has when at a distance? Yes, that's been live for a couple weeks

I know about the window vaults i was meaning more of jumping pallets. Sorry should have been more specific. Thanks for the info tho. It's when im runing straight to a pallet i go to jump and the do like a little stop then slightly creep faster over it then a regular jump.
Ah, oops, my bad, you did say pallet. That definitely sounds like a slow vault. Are you sure you're still holding the run button throughout the entire animation? I know you said you were but you could be letting it go to early and getting the slow animation instead. Hold the button down for the entire animation just to be sure

I do, but I suck and plateau at like rank 14. Have you tried killer on Xbox?
I play 80/20 killer/survivor. I also play on Playstation, so yea, I play killer on console
-
Are you running directly at the window or at a sharp angle? There's actually three different kinds of window vaults. Slow, Medium, and Fast
A slow vault is of course the quiet vault
A medium vault is when you hold the run button and vault a window, but you either weren't running already, or you jumped through the window at a sharp angle (ie running down a hallway and suddenly trying to jump a window). It's slightly faster than a slow vault, but not as fast as a true fast vault
A fast vault (or running vault) is when you've been running a bit already and run directly at a window. You'll know you did a running vault when you jump through and your feet don't touch the window. You just jump and swing your legs over

How would a petition fix the issue?
Queue times are longer for each side if the other side doesn't have that many players.
Look at the PTB, the killer queues can take 10 minutes, that is because everyone want's to play killer and see how he plays.
Meanwhile on live servers not that many people like playing killer soo queues take 10 seconds
Sign the petition, and BHVR sends agents to your house to force you to play Killer.
-
Play Killer. Wait times are almost non-existent there

Maybe it was a bug and it's been fixed since, but unlike normal skill checks, if you get off a gen that had Overcharge on it, you can still make the overcharge skill check while running. At least, last time I went against it. (Which was a while ago, because it is not a commonly used perk.)
Oh? I didn't know you could do the skill check while off the gen. I thought it just auto-failed it the same as if you got off a gen mid-skill check
-
Overcharge helps with this. If they tap a gen and leave it will explode and continue to regress, but if they do the skill check they stay on the gen for the 3 seconds or so to get it going
-
Thank you for my new work computer background
-
Funny boi with the funny jokes, haha

I play the PS5 version and skill checks have actually gotten easier for me. I have yet to miss an overcharge skill check. My GF plays the PS4 version on both our PS5 and PS4 and I haven't noticed any issues from those either

Going to go off on another tangent here, but this topic is a mess as it is
Remember when female leads started becoming a thing in video games, and how "political" and "problematic" that was? How it was going to "corrupt young boys" because gasp there's a female on screen? And now there's tons of games with female leads and those arguments were just... wrong? How to the only reason it was "political" was because people made it as such. Now change the word "female" to LGBT and here we are
-
You might need to activate windows in order to unlock the "picking up items" feature 😅
