Myers.
It's been well established that he is incapable of sustaining heavy damage then dying or going to hell. So yeah.
Spirit is on that table too, but in the end, it'll be a stalemate due to the 2 not being able to kill one another. One is already dead, the other, evil incarnate.

What do you mean, I found 'The Game'.
It's with a Detective and a can of trash.

This dude's a true memer.
Give Oni a crown or he will proceed to smash.

I do.
I have 2 screens, so I could just shove the stream into one of the screens with my game in the other.
I just do it because it's fun to see myself in their perspective.

To balance the goddamn game. It's rather survivor-sided.
-
A. All the way.
I usually play a stealthy/selfish playstyle. Mostly why I like running Sole Survivor. I always leave it to my teammates often. I always go straight to the escape.

Killers lack standing power and effective ability to patrol gens and deal with Survivors effectively.
Survivors are given an easier time against killers. Through SWF and meta perks.

I'd join.
No seriously, I would. I need to start feeling more comfortable with rping characters that have been made already.
Unfortunately, I'm just 15. But I have been rping for a long time.
A VERY long time, I don't even know how long at that point. Definitely more than 5 years.

Anyone think about that Clown might be able to fabricate stronger alcohol? 🤔

No seriously, I'd swear that I felt someone slicing into my chest, or dragging me underwater as I proceed to drown. Here is my way of improving some bad killer perks. I am a fan of Obsession Perks that really put Survivors in danger when using DS or OoO for example (how it used to be).
Please tell me, what you think about it.
Dying Light: I like the idea of DL being a late game perk, but the benefits the obsession gets are way too much. I would reduce the buffs for the obsession to 15% faster altruistic actions (or remove it completely) and cancel the immunity for the debuff.
Remember Me: Change the trigger to "all gens are done" (same as Rancor), so it does not become a problem when the killer finds the Hatch first. Restore the old 5s per token to a max of 4/5/6 tokens or grant the ability to see the Aura of the Obsession for 5s when all gens are done. This would give the perk the old abilities, endanger the use of obsession perks and give the killer the possibility to find the obsession in the end.
Mindbreaker: Buff the duration to 6/8/10s. That should have the effect it is supposed to have.
Cruel Limits: Change the area from 24m to 32m around the Gen or bind it to the Killer's TR. This means, that for 20/25/30s all vaults are closed as long as they are in the killers TR.
Tinkerer: Give the cue at 75% instead of 85%.This way even slower killers might make it in time. Alternatively give the killer 2/3/4% speed bonus, which makes it more usable during chase.
Rancor: Show the obsession as Aura, all others' positions with a bubble as before.
Unnerving Presence: I noticed that this perk affects mostly newer players, but not experienced ones. So I would suggest that Great Skillcheck success zones are also reduced by 40/50/60%. Also affects Snap Out Of It, Seal Portal, Jigsaw Boxes, Autodidact, DS, BNP etc. skill checks.
Monstrous Shrine: Affects ALL hooks. No self-unhook attempts on Basement hooks. Reduced chance to self unkook (from 4 to 2%), higher penalty for failed attempts (2 max), and 9/12/15% quicker Entity progression.
Iron Maiden: You SEARCH Lockers 30/40/50% faster. Because that would include the Huntress' reload time. Else it would only affect the opening.
Dying Light - Just cancel the obsession's immunity to the debuff, and we're ok.
Remember Me - I agree with it, except the few seconds of you being able to see obsession.
Mindbreaker - Yep.
Cruel Limits - Binding it to killers' tr will give it the most usefulness. Still based on rng, but still useful.
Tinkerer - I do indeed agree with zis.
Rancor - Perhaps, dunno what to think about this.
Unnerving Presence - Actually, I think this should remove Great skill zones altogether. This helps veteran players more than it harms.
Monstrous Shrine - Kind of... Eh, to it. Maybe make the basement hooks have much stronger effects while the normal hooks are granted lesser buffs.
Iron Maiden - ... Are you idiotic? It already does this. You already search them faster- it's even- did you literally- did you never even USE IT?! I'm dumbfounded by the display of idiocy you just shoved into my face... You somehow even got the huntress grabbing hatchet quicker correctly as THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE ######### PERK DOES!! YOU LOOK THROUGH LOCKERS QUICKER! I'm sorry by me losing composure and unleash hell on you, but that was... Well, ridiculous.

Yes.
All the time.
Faster recovery speed makes my bleedin' life as a killer easier.

Yes.

Ruin might also be the catalyst of much-needed killer buffs.
Plenty, and I mean, PLENTY people ran Ruin as they saw it necessary to win, since it allowed them to set up quickly, which will boost their chances of trap triggering or et cetera.
Without that ruin however, I expect we will begin to start seeing the true face of the killers, who were bad, who had taken the undoubtedly powerful early game effect that possibly ensured them a kill early in the game, will start to show their true colors that is called the "Kill rate".
Yes, it is infuriating that Killers no longer has a boost that is Hex: Ruin, but think about it...
If you don't get too much kills as a certain killer, you're showing essentially the entire community that the particular killer you're playing is actually weak.
However, everyone usually deduces this, but still, without ruin, I expect we'll be seeing much more accurate kill rates.
Yes, I'm aware that "Matchmaking" is seriously FUBAR, so stats might still be tilted toward one or another, but still, Hex: Ruin was a large factor in the kill rates.
-
Are- Are you judging a rework BEFORE it bloody released for testing?
Is it too much to ask that folks hold off on their "Doctor is worse than old Doctor" until AFTER they actually play the new doc?
I'm excited for it because it removes the back-and-forth stance mechanic the old doc has, which was kind of hard to manage in general.
@beatddb said:
His new power (static blast) only works to track survivors, but it doesn't help at all in a chase. So you'll be able to find survivors but if they're experienced, expect a long chase. And remember, this change was made to survivors to have fun; which means that they only have fun looping the killer.
This is the same problem Legion have, but at least they can move fast around the map and apply some kind of pressure with the deep wounds.
The reason I say Doctor will be worse than Clown is because at least Clown bottles can help you during a chase, with their speed and vision reduction. New Doctor: F tier along with Legion.
Combine this absurd change with the snap out of it one and there you go, another Legion (or maybe worse) killer.
And don't forget the fact that this was announced as a buff.
-
Oddly enough, I do indeed have urges to kill a bleedin' person. Usually bullies or annoying people, but still.
I'd say that's more than enough proof that I may be a killer if that line was crossed.
Heck, I often imagine myself being a direct replica of 'The Joker', since I oddly enjoy tricking people.
So I guess my power would revolve around surprising Survivors using items or whatnot, or set down traps on generators directly.
Wonder what the perks would be.

I will also DC if I get caught.

He doesn't seem much different than before. Still powerful in my book.

I'll settle with just cross-play, thanks.

He's just fine. No need to increase his m/s.

Still like the game.
I take breaks from the toxicity though every now and then.
Besides, devs are still trying to make the game more healthy, don't count them on their unsuccessfulness, count them on their attempts.

IMO, a Killer is only as powerful as you make them. Too many people complain when they can't rely on certain factors of a killer when they're changed, and that's the issue. They need to adapt a situation, not brute force it.
Precisely! I still think Nurse is still powerful, just not as much before.
The rank 1 players who complained about nurse clearly didn't take their time practicing with the new mechanics. She isn't the same nurse as before, so they really need to stop playing her like the previous one, and maybe, maybe then, they'll get better with her again.

Saminations Parody of Dbd has ruined me. Every time I think of a character, I instantly hear the voices that Samination used for them. I especially love their Dwight, Claudette, Trapper(the best), and Wraith.
I think that's because we haven't hear anyone ELSE voice the characters actually talking.
No, screaming in pain, panting, or grunting does not count.

Just a good killer in general. He's quite balanced, that's for sure. 10/10 gud killer.

With NOED you can whack all Survivors. With this system, you only get one. Besides, NOED is at the end of a match. Most people are smart and cleanse totems anyway.
"Most people are smart and cleanse totems anyway."
Yeah. No they don't.
Survivors are still complaining their arse off because of NOED not giving them an escape.
To be quick: they don't take "maybe do bones next time" as an solution at all.

Really? It's the opposite for me. Survivor queues are short, but Killer queues are painfully long.

I did. You're assuming the killer wouldn't do this anyway just to make a survivor unable to get their challenge done.
If I didn't read it, how could I properly respond to it?
Killers DC all the time because survivors are better than them. I've saved a few twitch games where killers were streaming and quit. There goes my challenge because the killer quits mid-game.
It shouldn't be up to the whim of another player that you don't get something done.
"I did. You're assuming the killer wouldn't do this anyway just to make a survivor unable to get their challenge done."
Again: I was referring to if the update existed, which was "If killer disconnects, it counts as an escape", which raises toxicity to get a challenge done, or if anything, raising toxicity universally in the game, since it's a free win. Because if a Killer DC's to deny a challenge, with this update it wouldn't be possible. Besides, in the main game, if a killer DC's to deny a challenge, how would he know that the survivor was running the? Currently, the matchmaking system is FUBAR and right nor, wait times for Killer are SIGNIFICANTLY longer than Survivor. So if anything, Killer dcing would still be a downside, as the survivor can instantly get into a game in less than a second.
"It shouldn't be up to the whim of another player that you don't get something done."
That's the EXACT POINT of vs. games in the first place. One side constantly competes to better over the other, to deny them something their enemies can do to give themselves an advantage. In a FPS game, you take advantage of limited visibility through flanking enemies. If enemies aren't aware of their surroundings, they can, and possibly will die.
So, in DBD, The Killer's job is to kill the survivors, and Survivors' job is to survive. Mindgames exist so the Killer can deny the Survivors' ability to loop a killer endlessly. The Killers ability to kick gens is to prevent their completion. Survivors' flashlights and pallets are there to save others, themselves, or to buy time, which leads to gen completion. Killers can hook people, and without the rule of 'the players whim that their enemies' objective isn't done', unhooks would not be a thing, because the rule would be that you cannot interfere with another player's objective.
ALL competitive games are specifically built on this one point. The 2 sides are meant to be this way, it's not a vs. game if the objective completion cannot be denied by the other player, it's meant to create conflict, and to see who's better. If the objective couldn't be influenced by either side, then the game would not be fun. And I find it hilarious how you didn't think through that sentence, seeing as that sentence is the essence of the games itself. Conflict in games lead to your current skill to be used to try and overcome the obstacle, which is your enemy, using your skill to overcome challenges is fun. Overcoming it successfully feels good, and the opposite is a learning experience.
However, there is such a thing called "Unsportsman-like attitude" or whatnot. Those are people who deliberately abuse game bugs, people's attitude, or Hacks to win. Essentially, Hackers, Toxic/Salty People, and Exploiters are unsportsmanlike. Heck, there might be more types of people like this. If a killer/survivor DC's because someone is hacking, someone is being toxic, using an exploit to escape quickly, then them dcing makes sense, as they're stressed, and want to get out of the game, or because of some other reason. I do find it ok to DC because someone is being toxic to them, i merely find the act to be toxic in the first place to be wrong. I don't condone Toxicity. I don't condone 'deliberately dcing to deny a challenge' either. But there can be inconvenience, like you're minding your own business, trying to survive, someone else is being toxic as hell, and the killer DC's as a result. In that situation, it was the toxic players fault, not the killers. If an update that counted the Killers dc a win, you just announced to the entire toxic community "it's good to be toxic", because being mean to a killer made them dc last time, now you're rewarded for doing it!" Do you want a game where 100% of the community goes toxic to win?
This might be the longest post I've sent so far...

You mean survivors trying to survive is raising toxicity, but the killer DCing because they're not doing well is ok? The killer couldn't just DC to be toxic and deny the challenge? The reverse could never be true?
You didn't read this post did you?
These people are suggesting that when the Killer dc's, it counts as an escape. Meaning, if the killer DC's, it is a free win. And we all know toxicity is a thing in Dbd. People who legitimately try to survive are good people, but I'm more focused on the people who deliberately try to make the Killer dc. And as this guy suggested, if the Killer DC's, it's a win. I'm merely arguing that putting that into the game would make it worse for the sake of making ONE challenge easier. It's like destroying a house to make yourself a shed.
I never said anything that the Killer dcing is a good thing, I never said Survivors trying to survive is toxic either.

Not an achievement, a rift challenge
Regardless. It will still make survivors be even more toxic to the killer. I do feel that if the Killer himself DC's, Survivors gain nothing from that game. (although it might already be like that)
-
This will raise Toxicity exponentially. Because now the objective becomes 'annoy the killer until they dc', since you get a free win from it.
Lads, this is not a mechanic that is to be added for the sake of a Steam Achievement.
AN. ACHIEVEMENT. Of all things.
-
Exactly the same problem I have.
I don't get it: wasn't red ranks despised?
Also, why is it that I find a match within 10 seconds when I play survivor.
But I have to wait 30 full minutes to wait for a game, join and wait for players, and then play the game, only to find out you have either unnecessarily high ping and/or toxic survivors. Goddamnit devs.

Every game either myself or my teammates experience the basement's bug. Once you are hooked u automatically appear in the sky and you can't do anything about it. The game like this is so unplayable and people been getting dcd because the game crashes constantly.
We need some sort of compensation PLEASE!!!
Thank you Mods...
I don't see the point of this...
You're asking in compensation of bugs, which are present in EVERY SINGLE GAME and are usually never able to get rid of completely in a game, you get bloodpoints, in order to use them for leveling up your characters, to get into a game with the basement glitch...
10/10 logic right here.
Seriously tho, why would the devs give you bp just because of 1 of MANY, MANY, MANY game-breaking bugs that they had patched in the past.
-
I use it most of the time.
Assuming I have it of course.
But I focus putting it onto weaker Killers. The stronger ones I usually disregard. *Mostly due to the fact most of the time, I don't get use out of it due to me successfully preventing gens being done.*
-
All you folks saying it's a nerf, stop jumping to conclusions! The adjustments of doctor's abilities isn't even out yet. Hell, they didn't even release the FULL PATCH NOTES for him, for gods sake! So sit down and be patient, you can say how op or underpowered it is WHEN his entire rework is shown.
Btw, the few second delay of the survivor not being able to do anything wasn't listed in the original power description either. Never knew about it till a guide told me about it's existence.
-
Master Roshi? Is that you? 😮
-
Ladies, we get it, "Nurse is so unfun" but you make it sound like she's the ONLY KILLER IN THE GAME WORTH PLAYING! Come on, there are MULTIPLE other killers that can do the job effectively as well!
I know for a FACT that playing the SAME killer, over and over gets unfun progressively. I swap killers from time-to-time for a new experience everytime, and I actually have quite a bit of fun from the change.
And even then, the nurse change doesn't sound that bad, all they did is delay her power by 6 seconds. Honestly, I felt the nerf was gonna come at some point, and here it is. It didn't change her that much, all it did was remove her own tier, and put her... Idk, A at best.
If you're gonna say that nurse is so unfun, maybe it's time to try a different killer, instead of standing next to your main 100% of the time.
-
I'll just say that Demo is in a good spot right now. He's balanced, and counterable.
Nothing more needs to be said.
-
Wake yourself up, and save that person. You aren't affected by oblivious while you are awake.
Honestly, the change only made 1 single perk less useful. The change was meant to have freddy not run any TR perks, since slowing the game down a lot was enough. If anything, we kinda need this change, otherwise, the slow games will get slower.
Was it worth it man? Was it worth getting a perk that guarantees a save? Was it worth having freddy slow the game down even further, and make it likely impossible to escape for a perk that guarantees hook saves?
No? Then learn and adapt against him, lazy f#ck.
-
Now that's what I call a "BBQ and Chill".

I'm gonna do what's called a *'pro gamer move'*.

Anything that isn't dbd.
Watch Dogs 2, Bf1, SCP:SL, other things.
Dbd is real stressful to play. And games are meant to relax in... Mostly, games has tourneys.
But I think dbd is lacking in the fun factor completely. Sure, fun for a few games, but then you start seeing the bad side of dbd.
Op perks, Survivor-sided gameplay, Little killers being viable, and virtually all the toxicity in *every game.* Seriously.
In a normal game that isn't dbd, you get Toxic ######### every few days or weeks.
This game has toxicity daily, and in nearly every trial, there is a toxic person, like everyone wants free will removed from killers.
-
Ahem
Hag is based on the wendigo.

Eh.... Not really.
Ds itself has a loooong activation period, so essentially, 60 full seconds of invincibility. Grabbed a survivor off a gen and downed the survivor who still had ds? You Tunnelled." See what I'm gettin' at? Ds, yes, counters tunneling, but it also had an unintended side effect.
Due to Ds' long activation period, really now, you can do anything BUT tunnel and still get ds'd. It's still the same perk we've had the past few years before being reworked. Although shittier, it still does it's job.
What needs to be done to prevent ds to still be like a "Get out of jail free", and instead actually have their effects revolve around the survivor being tunnelled into Oblivion. And I do believe it can be achieved.
Have ds deactivate immediately after somebody OTHER than the ds user is hooked. NOT PERMANENTLY, it just runs the timer out so you can use it again when you're rehooked. That alone would provide one more, and possibly more effective method with dealing with ds.
Thoughts?
