your not forced to use a meta branch out a lil bit and use different perks
Not in high ranks from what I hear.
You're forced to use every meta there is against rank 1 survivors. Otherwise, you'd have an unbelievably hard time.
-
Yep.
Every word you said was true.
-
It does punish survivors harshly, and pairs well with Myers' other perks almost perfectly.
I've disliked the old one because it was self-contradicting. 2 of myers perks incentivized "Saving the best for last" and paired nicely with play with your food. But the old dying light is like that ONE single dubious food dish with 2 perfectly made dishes. It made no sense, 2 perks incentivized leaving the obsession alone...
But old dying light incentivized chasing the obsession with absolutely no mercy and kill them now or suffer harshly.
The new one lightens the load on the obsession while still slowing the game down significantly without needing to lay a finger on the obsession.
Love the change to it, again. I'll actually consider running it in my builds in the future.

My computer is an up-to-date good gaming computer and I still choose to play on console because it's just more comfortable.
Same here, but I play on PC because it seems to be more easy.
Suffice to say, they weren't wrong.
But they weren't right either. Money well spent at least. If crossplay shoves in, i have someone to play with.
-
I think we should be more concerned for his perks instead of ghostface himself. Right now, they're beyond garbage. 1 of them is useless, and beyond garbage quality. 1 of them has a unnecessarily long cooldown, and 1 is just... Well, "all ears".
-
Sloppy Butcher is not based on terror radius. It only works when you are injured, and it's permanent on you until you become healthy again.
I am honest to god dumbfounded how you thought butcher was effected by terror radius. It literally doesn't even specify or even mention the terror radius!
-
Camped multiple times as myers without reason.
Oddly enough, all those games I camped ended in 3k because of aggressive Altruism.
I don't do it so often anymore. Thank god.
As survivor, I just open up gate and gtfo. Don't care if someone is on hook or in danger, I'm getting out of here.

Vengeance could be a bit OP (imagine that with Bitter Murmur).
Malevolence sounds pretty good though.
Would make for a creepy killer too.
Malevolence sounds more like a "killer power" than a perk, tbh.
-
Holy jeezus.
Put this on console and pc. Right now. That is wonderful.
The best daily ritual I have ever seen. More objectives! Better rewards! It's pleasing to LOOK AT!!
-
NOED. I revel in the disappointment of people when they teabag at gates before they open, thinking they'll escape regardless if I hit them or not, but then slam them with instadown because i didn't hit anyone so they don't know about noed, hook him, died on hook.
He was not happy. :)
-
Chases as survivor.
Dealing with swf on killer.
-
There's also Sole Survivor laddie. Both perks deny aura reading. Adding in aura reading denial is as pointless as running Small game in hopes of running into a killer that has traps, or running Calm Spirit to neuter Doctor.
In my honesty, this perk should just be scrapped.
-
@Yung_Slug said:
Alright so the extra tenacity might be a bit much. Maybe replace it with an effect that makes it so the killer can't see your aura?
Distortion. Nuff said.

I think the description says you move at 50% speed, not 150%.
I know what read. Tenacity makes you move faster. This perk does it as well.
-
This perk in general is as weak as No Mither, Unbreakable, and Tenacity. So it will still not have much of a use. In my opinion, if a perk does something another perk does, but better (or worse), then it is a bad perk idea.
-
I have multiple problems with all 5 perks.
- I've missed you : Duration is too short, miiiight wanna increase it.
- Deadly Lights : NO. This isn't even a PERK. Wth, were you thinkin'?
- Swear! : Aftercare does this better. Much more better. INFINITELY better. More of a mechanic than a perk. So no to this one.
- I'll be there for you : We're about to get hit with stranger things, which has second wind, which is much more balanced than THIS.
- Loser for life : Why does this perk rely on another perk for stronger effects? WHY DOES THIS PERK REQUIRE ANOTHER PERK TO WORK???! Why not just put it all into one perk?! What- I have never read a chapter with this many fails at making a half-decent perk, much less, balanced. But this just makes me question the intelligence that went into this chapter.
-
Remove the "immunity" and you got yourself a half-decent perk.
-
So reverse deerstalker, built-in Iron Will and Tenacity.
I'm gonna say no.
-
I have seen many posts with salty noobs and pros trying to complain about stupid crap. People complaining about NOED when it's easily countered by doing bones. They say camping is bad, yet it's simply the killer resorting to desperate measures to get a kill.
But right now I just read a post about someone complaining of a killer doing their job.
Do survivors want a challenge or not? Because believe me, why do they want to make the game easier? Sure, it'll be more fun, but it dies out quickly. Like... The first 10 seconds. If there never was a killer, it would just be... Generator repair simulator. (Ok, technically that's what it is right now, but with no killer it would be emphasized.) Is that really fun folks? With no challenge, why do anything? If there's no struggle, a reason to worry, how can you be tense or scared this game wants you to feel?

It's kinda hard to tell wether someone is joking or not due to the amount of people that actually complain about such things and it really does grind my gears seeing it on the forums so often.
Though I am sorry for my mistake.
Hey man, is fine. I honestly should not have been surprised, since yeah, people do complain about alot of things.... Including dumb things. So you were mad, but it was a misunderstanding, I pointed it out, you said sorry, end of story. I'll use this moment to be more clear if I'm joking or not in future posts. Just to avoid things like this with other people.
Now to be serious, (if I could), I would run... Well, a houdini build. Quick and Quiet, Dance with me, and Lithe.
Either that or a heavy immersed build.
-
Please, you're all amatuers.
*Ahem*
Camper here

If you want to complain about survivors perks make your own post about it. Btw the title of the OP says "fun" not "sweaty" something your probably do when you play killer.
.... You... Do realize I was joking? The 'fun' is me using impractical perks for having fun, not me being sweaty af. And I'm using my pain of not being able to freely choose whatever perks I want on any survivor (due to me trying to get meta perks before getting "fun" perks.) for the sake of comedy.

It would be pretty funny to see Legion as a survivor.
Their ability would be that they can run really fast for like 6 seconds or something.
*Cough* Adrenaline *Cough*

Because I still need the powerful perks to unlock, I can't has fun :(
-
Myers, and soon, Ghostface.
I play them because I feel sneeky and kill some unsuspecting survivors. But I plan on having a wide array of mains so more killers to play.
-
When they disarm the trap, they are technically injured by the trap by bloody coil. So rusted jaws would have an effect... Probably. That's quite the interesting question, that's for sure.

There are salty people on both sides :)
And that sums up the whole dbd community. Literally neither side can win because it's in a endless state of fighting what should be buffed or removed. I get pissed when I see people cri like babies to perks part of the meta. Sometimes it's against a perk that's not even good to begin with.

You do realise they don't ask for it to be removed once in the entire thread? Stop your us vs them mentality and stop putting words in people's mouths.
Then explain why this post exists. Can't be complaining a killer power mechanic for no reason. If he was, he'd be an (Curse).

But complaining is easier than using those counters :O
You sir just explained salty survivor mains in one post. Congrats!
-
Folks, we just caught a salty survivor main trying to make killers more useless.
-
A better question to ask is "How will it work"? I'm less concerned "when".

I can take it serious, I'm simply curious as to why you felt the need too abbreviate [REDACTED] while not wanting to offend certain people.
As if you try a method that lets you get away with it.
As for the idea, you're in luck, you'll get the opinion from a pure Wraith main.
And here's my thoughts: No.
I already dislike Terror Radius Perks on him for obvious reasons, but this will completely destroy the stealth he has, since Survivors will now immediately know I run a previously-TR-based Perk.
I'd actually prefer it to stay this way, cause right now I could make a build with those Perks and "The Beast" - Soot.
If you hate using tr perks on Wraith then... Don't use them. I dunno why you're complaining on something easily avoided.
@Decarcassor said:
One thing that bother me about Unnerving Presence is that it does not feel like it belong to Trapper. Disarming and escaping from trap does not trigger skillchecks. Also yeah, great skillchecks should be disabled by the perk.
One thing that bother me about Overwhelming Presence is that it does nothing to survior that are not using items. Also, all you have to do to counter the perk is not use your items in the killer TR, wich you always know the killer is using because the game give you a big red notification. The only thing this perk is good for is against flashlights who have naturally short use time and must be used in the killer TR.
And laslty Coulrophobia. It makes healing slower in the killer TR wich is allready a dangerous place to heal. It does not do anything against insta heals however. I also don't think it affect dying survivor's recovery speed, wich it should.
1. Thank you for agreeing.
2. Perhaps Overwhelming Prescence can also slow down Repair, Sabotage, Exit gate opening and Healing interactions. Before you say it: Coulrophobia can have a larger radius than the other Tr perks and have the Healing penalties be more harsher, along with the ability to see survivors who recover from any state under the effects from this perk.
-
You can't get camped if you don't get caught.

Shrine of Secrets. Wait. Nuff said.

You prevented yourself from offending others using religious people?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/628983#Comment_628983
I'm offended.
Ok, I didn't make this post to be asked about my methods of not cursing, it's made to discuss one of the weakest group of perks in this game. If you're not gonna take this seriously, then leave.

Uhmm okay, but offend with what exactly?
People who are religious, mate.
@gantes said:
The problem is that it would indirectly nerf stealth killers by "warning" survivors they're nearby. That's why they work the way they work in the first place.
True, I can see what you're getting at here, but you could use it as indirectly stalling the game, with Unnerving, a Newbie would hide in anticipation or fear, or a Pro would look around and be aware. True, counter-intuitive, but still: the increased level of awareness from the pro Survivor will still eventually lead them to hiding early to avoid being caught, or run away early for a headstart.
With Coulrophobia a Newbie would dumbly power through the slowdown, or again: hide out of anticipation. While a Pro would just reposition, which takes time.
With Overwhelming, Newbies does... Well that again, and Pros would avoid using items to conserve charges, which slows down gen repair, healing, maybe even flashlight saves.
Yes, to Survivors, this perk does indeed tell you that the Killer is in the area, but not where, and how close. So the odds are still slightly in the Killers' favour maybe. Just a tiny bit less perhaps.

Honestly, the blick add-ons should have their effects change. Oh, you can no longer see auras? Oh boohoo. Seriously, I couldn't give less a sh*t about blindness because it practically does nothing. Fair to say others feel the same way.*Maybe* haemorrhaging does something, but Sloppy Butcher does this easier. Plus it takes longer to heal so there's that.
-
*Asserting Dominance*
-
.... Yeah, no. This changes the game up WAYYYY too much. If anything, I don't think none of us wanted a perk like this.
