glad that i didn't invested my money on him... the sadako experience suggested me to avoid to gave them money... i wonder if they can release a killer without bugs/issues at this point (as far as i know the last killer that respected those criteria was oni).

what build, killer, playstyle or counterplay do you guys hate? regardless of logic or others opinions?
I hate multitudes of killers in certain scenarios so i wont say that
I hate bamboozle, I like looping and not every map has back to back windows you can just keep using
I hate hit and run builds, i like chase and they never commit
I also hate boring counterplay like dropping a crap ton of pallets or just guess, like some counterplay in this game is just really counter intuitive
Also running perks to combat metas is VERY annoying
i HATE with a burning passion toxicity left unpunished and 2nd chances perks, even the ones that are here by default (looking at you BT basekit)

Ahh yes, stop people from playing with their friends. A surefire plan for success. I'm really surprised nobody has hired you to be ceo of some gaming company for such great ideas
relegate them in custom matches will be enough imo... since playing in that way is gamebreaking them you shouldn't be allowed to play with that feature in normal matches... denying that SWF are a BIG problem that must be adressed is like defending something so broken that even who use it know how much unfair for the other side is (like the 1st nurse with 3 blinks as default and with 4.6 of ms)...

And you just so happen to not have anything to make them exposed
-
Kinda sounds like they've done more to earn the escape than you have a kill in that situation.
you can apply the same concept for the killer then... you start a chase, he used an exhaustion perk to gain distance, hit 1st time, another litte sprint, reach him again and down down the survior, in the meantime 3 gens pop... all this without even looping... think if the survivor was also a good looper... 60% of their objective done for a single chase... yes, well earned indeed...

Last match I just had was a spirit using the COB + OC combo, I spent over 5 minutes going on and off a gen bringing it to around 80% then her bringing it back to about 20%. She would never hit me as I would also know when she was coming due to her add on that lets me hear it outside of the TR, I would just walk away and she couldn't find me after taking the time to kick the gen for the millionth time.
We had only 3 teammates left as she just instantly tunneled the first person she saw out of the game so gens were impossible
LMAO... did absolutely nothing aganist people who can hit great skillchecks... extremely overrated imo

I personally despise SWF, but i also can understand why people play with that feature. What i cannot tolerate is the fact that people ABUSE it in every kind of way, from VC to coordination, from informations to perky synergy with their teammates (you can't do those things when you are playing with randoms) and the fact that they are exempt from respecting certain rules such as exploits, harassment and poor sportmanship (you don't have the slightest idea how many times i received death threats, insults or harassment even after the match in my steam profile that i've reported and guess what? those kind of "people" are still playing... i even reported a streamer who was cheating while he was streaming... he's still playing like nothing happened)

It's not like that at all; Certain people do act like that, but the overwhelming majority doesn't, and those who do.. Well, just forget them.. Or are you sayin', you'd rather get yourself down to their level and act like them? It sure doesn't look like that to me from the responses you've shared here, so I'm having a bit hard time figuring out the meaning and reasonings for such answers in the first place. Because the only players who don't play that way would've answered that way, your responses do look and sound more like excuses and not actually honest answers.. But, I can't really tell - I don't know you and I'm not gonna judge you.
Be yourselves, be an example for the young teenagers, so they'll learn how to act.. You know, like people, and not like animals.
you know, after 2500 i'm a bit tired of being disrespected on 8/10 games (i wish i could be lying, but i have a huge wall of screenshots that prove what i just said) just because i play in a way not optimal (aka trying to enjoy the game with the other people). As for me i will never be the 1st to be mean, but i can't tolerate toxicity left unpunished (try to disrespect someone irl and see what will happen afterward)... as i said, i would gave every tools that killer have at their disposal, from addons to perks, in order to have those kind of people OUT FROM THE GAME since they are one of the reasons why this game is becoming more annoying than fun...
-
Then people wonder why killers tunnel and camp from the beginning of the match... This is what usually happens if you play "fair": you get trashtalked because you didn't kill anyone. Another reason why this game is becoming boring and unfun after every patch released... I would gladly gave away every perk that killer can use in exchange for a single perk that allows you to kill instantly those kind of survivors...
-
this game is horror enough already... As killer you have the possibility to deal with SWF teams...

Before the rework no doubt. I don't see him being higher than C-tier with everything they took away from his kit without reparations. That being said, to my surprise, I have seen content creators like OhTofu and Otz who have videos placing him around A and B respectively even in some fairly recent vids. But I never see people talk about his gameplay like he is that nice to be placed so high. Is there some hidden potential he has that I'm not seeing?
nah, just wrong opinions that streamers have on that killer imo

because they are unable/unwilling to do it, simple. People keep playing killer despite of the last changes that will drastically raise up the difficulty to even accomplish a single kill... they also removed the bonus bp from BBQ, erasing the only thing that could lessen the camping and tunneling, this alone should tell you how much they are concerned about giving more variety to the killer's gameplay...

It's far from final, but now it can be. People defend nurse on the forums and always make it as if people's opinions don't matter because "do you even play nurse", "show me your gameplay" etc. and say the new Wesker perk wouldn't be broken on nurse because x and x. But now, a streamer with a bit under 400 wins in a row with Nurse made a video saying how busted she, even after the add-on nerfs, so I don't think this topic can be questioned anymore, because if anyone has the right to an overruling opinion, it's him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QIW6juxPwQ
Other than admitting that his main is OP, and that she keeps the game from being in a healthier state regarding balance of other perks he gives some suggestions for nerfing her:
- Make her first blink a basic attack, but second and third blinks special so they don't proc exposed and other effects.
- Disable aura reading while charging her blink, so that the already not super strong perk can be reverted after being nerfed pretty much only because of this one killer.
An argument I imagine could show up is "that's just top of the top gameplay, nurse is hard to play", she really isn't. Only thing she requires is learning the blink range/position, which is made void by her common addon that shows the blink location.
yesterday i 4k as freddy with yellow addons (pallet) in mother's dwelling with 4 gen still to do. Is freddy strong because i wrecked the survivors in that match? absolutely no. it showed how much bad they were to facing that type of killer (or how much bad they were generally speaking). it's funny that people consider only one side when regarding balance without seeing the full picture... now regarding my personal view: i could accept a nurse rework, but 1st, before doing it, you must fix maps (majority of those are too much safe with too many pallets or loops so strong that you can't do nothing unless you are indeed using the nurse, not to mention that survivors most of the times bring map offerings to those realms), items/addons (brand new parts shouldn't even be present in the game, same for styptic agents and anti hemorrage syringe along with green/purple medkits and commodious toolboxes. same thing for certain killer addons), certain perks and especially SWF. until then the nurse should stay

High MMR is just something people say to stroke their egos. Anyone who actually wins a lot and isn't a narcissist can clearly see that they aren't getting matched with comp players every game. Some higher level killers like Scott and Otz have had the honesty to come out and admit this but there are still other popular figures in the DBD community who feed into the lie that high MMR is an unwinnable nightmare where you only ever go against the best of the best in every game.
i'm more inclined to think that they have their mmr separated from the rest of the playerbase since i see them going aganist potatoes most of the times while in the meantime i'm facing tryharders 8/10 of my matches... sometimes i found a weak team, but those matches aren't funny either since it's too much easy to end chases... all that i ask is to have matches where i can play how i want with decent people but without being forced to use the same 2 tactics every game in order to have the chance to do a good amount of points.

You are right, if it only were 10 seconds added to gens. But it is also base regression on kick, its reduced cooldown after a hit, its reduced sprinttime after a hit, and several other changes, that all go hand in hand.
Either you didn´t know that, then you should reevaluate your opinion after checking the facts, or you deliberatly chose to ignore those, which makes your opinion untrustwhorthy.
I, for one, have just switched to killer for a good portion of my games, and enjoyed making all the achivementes i couldnt get before the patch. Very chill games, actually.
I know those changes, but this change absolutely nothing, especially in the case that I bring above... You can be buffed with the cooldown weapon, break pallet faster, but with those kind of loops it doesn't matter, especially in the case of infinites... Try to catch an average looper in that house with a m1 killer like trapper or Ghostface, then come back and told me how much useful was the reduced cooldown to your weapon and breaking pallets and how many kills/hooks you did without playing scummy... I won't argue that killers got some buffs, but those buffs were a mockery since the problems lies elsewhere (without mentioning that all the perks that were useful to slow down the game were nerfed so much that we could say that killers were actually nerfed instead of being buffed under certain aspects)...
-
funny how they can treat their playerbase without being effectively atone from their actions (they did a lot of things that weren't even asked by the community but here we are...)
-
There is a lot of discussion about how killers have effortless winstreaks and all you have to do is watch Twitch or Youtube to find the evidence. This is why stats need to be looked at with caution.
Killers don't have the winstreaks that experienced survivors possess and I think this is bad for the game because it shows unfairness and most importantly a grossly unbalanced game.
Killer is not as fun as it used to be because of too many nerfs and a lack of motivation and chance to win. This is because of balancing around bad survivors. Ruin, Pop, Thanato and NOED have been changed into survivor sided perks and removes players agency from killer.
Pop goes to Weasel: A perk that takes away from doing the objective (to win) to setup a way to slow down generators. It was nerfed so much that it was less worthwhile than using thanatophobia. Thanatophobia is now nerfed so bad that both is not acceptable or most importantly fun to use. The ability to slow down generators by just a little by injuring survivors takes too much time, meanwhile it is easy for survivors to continue with their objective. Good survivors can capitalize with no way for killers to overcome.
Ruin: The killer plays better than the survivor for the entirety of the match but the killer is punished for playing well and the perk is disabled once you kill someone, for bad survivors. The nerf to 100% of the normal Regression speed also rewards bad survivor gameplay. It is not fair survivors have perks that guarantee their wins but killers do not have any that helps them win. Survivors can play badly and killer does not have a way to overcome it.
NOED: Good survivors knew how to play around old NOED as evidence by watching killers play. Of course it sometimes, albeit rarely in specific scenarios reduced the chase under a very specific circumstances but shouldn't that what a perk does? Help you to win chases? The perk is now nerfed so survivors do not have to think about the perk which is bad design. Survivors do not need skill to search the totem now because it's aura is showed to survivors. With a minute of aura activation, the perk is unusable due to being easily spotted even for bad survivors. The new form is not fun to use, at the cost of balancing for bad survivors.
Balancing so survivor perks automatically reward the survivor in so many ways with no downsides while killer perks have too many downsides, too many deactivation conditions/cooldowns has caused the game to lose its fun factor for killer side. This is why killer is not as fun as it used to be because of lack of valid options. Experienced survivors capitalize on these lacks of options for killer to guarantee their wins. This causes killers to have no hope in a majority of matches.
as you can see i can use your same logic aganist you...

I rarely ever got tunneled beforehand as it was never an effective strategy at higher MMR but I feel like ever since the mid chapter balance changes it's made things much worse. With how much more time it now takes survivors to complete Generators + DS Nerf + the base kit buffs killers got there's no longer an effective way to counter it this playstyle especially in Solo Queue. It's better for killers to eat OTR & DS and just keep tunneling because how slow the game is now. Literally almost every game either me or another survivor gets tunneled. Somethings needs to be done about this.
did you tried to discover the cause of all this? it's because only 10 seconds added to generators won't change things in the slightest, quite the contrary, it only worsened the situation that was already grim since slowdown perks were utterly nerfed, survivors bring tools to improve the genspeed due to this change (mostly prove thyself) and maps are still broken... i talk for experience: since that rework i had literally 3 matches that were chill, the rest were all sweaty (and toxic most of the times) tryharders, who worsened the situation by bringing map offerings (those should go away from the game once and for all btw), white wards with the best items and addons and ABUSING zones on the map that are just straight up unfair and unbalanced (yesterday one of those matches that i did: start a normal chase, hit the survivor once, with their sprint they went in the central house that's actually an infinite, then heal themself with CoH... the map was garden of joy and i was playing as ghostface, every survivor in that match did this, no one tried to loop in other zones of the map despite this map has tons of pallets and windows). We can call this "optimal" gameplay (just like playing nurse and tunnel the 1st survivor that you see), but if you abuse those zones then don't complain about killers play in that way...

I have barely any knowledge on old Freddy since I didn’t play back then, but I’d listen to @GeneralV (the old Freddy expert) when he says old Freddy was way better than people give him credit for.
he had a counter so strong that he could did nothing: failing skillchecks. you heard me, failing a skill check prevented any hit done by him... so you wasted the entire game to put on sleep people (8 seconds of wait since it wasn't instant, during that time the survivors could act without worrying to being bodyblocked or hitted), hit them with some luck if they were out of position or if they didn't failed a skillcheck on purpose in order to WAKE UP INSTANTLY, search someone else (in case you did the hit and run tactic) did the same. once injured then what? if they had selfcare (which was popular in that time), it was sufficient to miss a skillcheck while healing in order to wake up instantly. How a killer like that, without antiloop power, could be even considered barely viable?
-
the formula is simple:
SWF and broken map rng exist? = nurse
fix those things (SWF must be relegated ONLY in custom matches) then we can talk about reworking the nurse

End game chat and the forums are two different things, there is no competitiveness on the forums, a match isn't being played, literally every video game allows slight digs at people, considering this game is for like 16+ I think we can get over someone calling us bad or saying their 4year old sister could play better, lol.
i STRONGLY disagree. Lack of respect is something that shouldn't be allowed in the 1st place. for that logic then you can disrespect everyone just because yes, but i was forgetting that we are talking about a company who put a censor filter in the endgame chat that won't work correctly (a lot of normal words will be censored for no reason, and for that people can misunderstood things) and do more harms than benefits, we are talking about a company who doesn't ban people for extremely bad insults and mean things said in the endgame chat (did various reports in all my hours on dbd both in game and in the official site, mostly death threats, wishes that me and my families die of cancer, racism, etc etc) but guess what? noone of those players was banned (a couple of them were also streamers so it wasn't difficult to see what they were doing). If you are convinced that this is normal then you won't have troubles to have people keep insulting/mocking you all the time... well, good for you i guess

Yes, a counter for such gameplay should take up a slot. Just like counter for tunneling needs to take up at least one slot for survivor.
You make a wrong example since tunneling is a tactic that devs actually use and it was an intended mechanic (sadly) from the begin, while this "tech" is just a bug that devs simply don't want to fix because "reasons" (like blight and oni j flick, which they were finally being addressed or the "ghost tech" of survivors that consisted in deactivating their own hitbox in order to go inside the killer hitbox)

Dude it sounds like you are stuck in an mmr where survivors are above your skill level and your only option is to hard tunnel early for a chance at winning.
And it sounds like you dont enjoy playing like that, so throw a couple games, get easier survivors and practice vs those.
Sometimes you get dealt a bad hand and have to tunnel some one out of the game but if its every single game, you are probably just using tunneling as a crutch.
They aren't above my skill level, they are simply carried by the map rng (and their map offering). For Example you can't do literally nothing with a m1 killer like Ghostface if survivors start using infinites like the one in the dredge map or of they have a huge quantity of safe pallets, that if you don't break they can easily chain loops and if break them the match will be finished before you did a couple of hooks... Skill doesn't matter at all in those circumstances, since you can be the strongest player of the game, but the outcome will be the same.
Yes, I don't enjoy playing in that way because it get boring fast and I PERSONALLY found it unfun, but I don't want to throw matches because their flawed system, nor give a free win to people that don't deserve it, especially the toxic ones.
I don't tunnel every match but when you don't do it you'll regret it.
Tunneling is not a crutch since for the same logic behind genrush: both are optimal (and boring) way to play and both side rush their goal in order to have more chances to win...

Do people think that having 2 people in lockers next to each other with flashlights should have any counterplay? I can hear you say, "just leave." But would it count as holding the Killer hostage (until their batteries run out) if they never progress the game? The whole team is just t-bagging just out of reach. It's incredibly stupid and easy to do. Some Killers like Trapper could outplay it, but not all. Assuming decent survivors can make it to lockers, it feels like the Killer is not a threat whatsoever. Not because of skill, but because of an (debatable) exploitable situation.
I know bully squads often don't all escape. I don't care that it's rare. I don't care that you probably could win by going elsewhere. That's not the point. They succeed in bullying, or are simply untouchable and you have to leave. In that moment, they win because there is no counterplay. I don't think that's a good thing.
What could a solution be? Maybe you can no longer jump out of a locker you have been in for 10 seconds. Like how Head On deactivates. Just curious what people think. Jerks will always be jerks, we'll move on because it's just a game.
technically lightborn is a counter, but then again, i shouldn't be forced to waste a slot just for that issue (which seems more a unintended bug marked as "tech" rather than a valid gameplay mechanic)

The Devs clearly tried to make it harder. This is evident by the measures taken. However, as always, they were way too careful with it and failed.
fact is that they should modify things in order to make tunneling and camping not viable and in the same time they should make the "fairplay" gameplay actually viable and rewarding... a pity that the game mechanics incentivize the 1st one and the devs didn't nothing concrete about the 2nd...

You say that but then we go watch otz vid about a good artist vs comp players and she is getting cross map injures and quite literally dominating survivors. So no
lockers exist (crows will just go away instantly when you go inside a locker)... just for the fact that they were injured by those distances told us of the "skill" of those players...

Killers complaining about pallets being too close to each other but GOD FORBID Survivors mention that the hooks are side by side and conveniently placed xD That’s the game, you need to play it. With boil over nerfed it’s easy to down a survivor and take them to the hook.
Want the survivors to jump on hooks themselves next time?
those things can't be compared since the hooks just reward you for a chase ended well (good play) while pallets near each other just promote the instadrop and w+shift to the next one (not even a try to loop, just mindlessly throw pallets). Aside this, i wouldn't have troubles if hooks are more distant, but then you shouldn't complain about a killer that start slugging...

The thing is hooks can also spawn so far away that it's almost impossible to make a hook from certain areas. I do how ever agree they can spawn way to close at times.
And yes 2% of the killer population would probably like that and even call it a win but the other 98% want to play the game

Ik I speak for everyone when I say 5 secs ain’t enough to get anywhere off the hook. Most killers will just wait it out and tunnel. Survivors have dumb endurance while killers all run the same gen control perks. The MMR system doesn’t even work. I fight survivors who are sweats when I don’t even play killer like that. Is DBD currently in a rough spot rn?
give me a logic and valid reason of why a killer shouldn't tunnel someone out of the game then...

artist high skill ceiling? maybe, but that "skill ceiling" is easily counterable if you have some brain... imo the artist is just annoying, but far from being strong as you claim...

Yes, if you want to go 100%, ensure nobody has fun and boost your win-rate in an unbalanced party game, tunnel someone out at 5 gens. There are times against certain players where you will need to camp and tunnel. Survivors do not have much of an ability to counter hardcore tunneling right out of the gate anymore. DS is nerfed, DH got nerfed, their ability to loop was nerfed, holding W was nerfed and nobody runs BT anymore. In 95% of matches, you don't need to tunnel. You do it because it's easy.
Likewise, whataboutism. Nobody brought up Survivors, it's completely irrelevant to this discussion.
2 hooking Survivors is the higher chance to lose. Ergo, it is more skillful if you still win.
it's the shortest way to being mocked and disrespected by survivors (who will be mean toward you in every case). i wish you did some of my matches and you'll see why people tunnel... i don't know nothing about your skill and your mmr, but i can speak for my personal experience since i didn't had a NORMAL match in ages... every single match done aganist tryharders/genrushers/toxic pricks who want to make your experience miserable is a common experience for me, so i don't see any reason about playing "nice"

Yes, I was running Decisive Strike. Yes, I was running Off the Record. Yes, I took him to the shack. Still got tunneled straight out of the game. So fun, much skill wow 👏

i'll give you gladly one of my matches as killer to see why people kept tunneling and camping... don't think that players who use that tactic consider it fun because it's not even for them... the game force you to do it, otherwise you'll end the match without kills most of the times and the survivors disrespecting you (at least in high mmr)...
