guess they were REALLY bad if you played that killer for the 1st time and killing them all

They are very interesting characters but personally, I only enjoy ONE eugenicist, Wesker
i see that you are a man/woman of culture as well😎

you really think that this killer is somewhat viable aganist competent survivors? i suggest you to play for 2 month only that killer, then come back to tell us your experience... you'll change your idea rather quickly

technically only ranged killers should be 4,4 ms. regarding this matter they should buff spirit and hag to 4,6 ms imo...

I'm sorry, but I love this game! I play killer and survivor equally. Win or lose. I'm having FUN. I don't Care how other people are playing. If I'm not having fun that's my own fault. Period. I challenge myself. I find new ways to play solo and as a team member. I try different perks and add ons to see what works and what doesn't.
This is a non complaint post.
Please tell us what you love about this game and leave your complaints on another discussion thank you!!
love is a BIG word for a game like this... ngl in the past i loved it, but for various reasons (from debatable balancing decisions to the same mode after all this time, without something differen/fresh to try) i slowly losted my interest in this game. i still play it, but i can barely do 2/3 matches before i'll start to getting bored
-
i found funny that after all this time twins weren't reworked yet...

That has not been in the case for me at all. She is still super rare. People freaked out about her when Iron Will got nerfed but that was a major overreaction. The game will be in a much better state if the queen was played more, and I know that for a fact.
Also yes, I’m still the same person that you recognize, just made some changes to my forum name is all. Gann is officially trademarked (TM) lol.
as i said before she isn't played for various reasons:
1 she's overall unfun/boring (but this can by applied for every killer in the roster if survivors have a particular hatred toward a specific killer... in my case i just found her really boring and cluncky)
2 she's weak imo (no real antiloop abilities, 2 windows are enough to completely counter her without much troubles)
3 there are better choices if you want play to win (nurse/blight)
4 there are killers more fun to play (this is based from each individual)
-
if you are so convinced of this then you should go to play some killer then...
-
during the entire match for pure luck? annoying but definetely manageable. doing it on purpose also with a map offering? sure you can do it, but only if you accept to being tunneled to death (i did it normally cause i had a Wesker that didn't respected pallets)
-
i miss the old thompson houses maps... especially the feels that they gave (still loops were ######### up in both maps)

new

Hello, I am here to tell you how wesker has the potential to be very good, but, it has several problems that make it more frustrating than enjoyable
First, I anna talk about his charge time, evertime I wanna use his power, I fell sooooooooo slow, and what also doesn't help is that the activation time of the power is too long, killers like demogorgon can press the button and intantly use it, I am not talking to make his power instantly to use, but at least, reduce it pls
Second is the power cooldown, remember when I was talking about he been so slow? His cooldown is so long for some reason, ok he has a addon thats makes 10% faster cooldown, for me, that changes nothing, I really wanna the devs to reduce his cooldown
The last thing is obviously his bugs, omg, how many time I catch a survivor and somehow, and wesker just lets them go
the beginning of this post is just to say how much potential wesker has
as a probably (new) Wesker main, i found problematic only the last thing that you mentioned (bugs), the other 2 points are fine imo
-
Indifferent. Since i didn't played him in the ptb, i'm used to his hitboxes before the patch

So I’ve had killers argue and streamers argue that don’t tunnel when it’s very clear they very much do. It’s a semantic argument of the « tunneling is one person » and « I hooked someone between your hooks »
Heres the thing: I had a Nemesis with starstruck who downed person A, went a hooked them and noticed with the Wesker perk person B hiding. He downed and hooked person B while I (injured) unhooked person A. I expected to be downed(the hooks were super close) and go on the hook but instead he waited out BT to down person A and hook them to then go straight to person B who just got unhooked.
He did this till both were out of the game before hooking either myself or teammate . When person A called him out for tunneling, he went on a rant about how he did not tunnel and how he was just playing efficiently. Both of those can be true, I just don’t get how one can’t own up to playing a strategic way.
if you don’t consider this tunneling, what do you consider it?
technically tunneling is when a killer focus to take down a single survivor, no matter what it will goes in his way (people who bodyblock/do gens while the killer is just 2 meter ahead/other survivors that could be an easier pray due to being in the open without pallets or windows), he will focus only on that specific survivor until he will be dead for good. in that case this felt like tunneling because those survivors didn't had "breathing room", since they were chased instantly the moment that they left the hook, but it really isn't.

i mean, i'm using a meta build to make a winstrak, i doesen't mean i only play like this, but i guess i wanted to hear a congratulations so...
Congrats?
no, my point was that he doesn't need those kind of perks in order to do winstreaks since bhvr released a killer with a good basekit for once. i hope that he will stay in that way since he's strong but not overpowered
-
@Negi said:
BHVR put those changes in place because they wanted to encourage perk variety and not make killers so reliant on slowdown perks while also increasing kill rates. Let's be real. Killers are stacking slowdown perks anyway and tunneling/camping it out with all the extra wiggle room they've been given. They don't care what the intent was, they do what gives results and that's always going to be the case.
What it's really done is make solo queue feel insurmountable and quite frankly insufferable, which is saying something when even double bloodpoints isn't enough to make you swallow the pill that is solo queue.
overbuff killers? lmao. the problem aren't killers that got some (tiny) buffs, but the huge amount of people who relies on crutch perks in order to escape from the killer and generally speaking the skill that survivors have... in solo q i usually have survivors that most of the time are extremely bad/trolls/farm tome missions (implying that they'll play poorly), but when i get an actual decent team the killer most of the times will be deafeated quite easily.
-
in the meantime i kept winning with a aura reading build and a single brown addon that nerf my power...

i was referring to cheaters actually who timed perfectly dead hard every time that you swing (you can be behind them for 30 minutes but they'll activate it only the moment that the killer will swing). even otz made a video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaQmtvlCJqM

No one seemed to care even then. It's both unfortunate and really frustrating that she's gone ignored from day one.
hmm... maybe because she isn't much popular/played due to her mechanics that sometimes feel a bit clunky, idk.
-
i would rather get noed (without the 4% bonus of MS) as basekit near the exit gates (i would say something lke 24 meters), just to force the opening and to avoid to have survivors acting freely/mocking when they are near the exit gates...

@TragicSolitude said:
When going for an adept achievement, I just pretty much ignore Bloodpoints and never use a killer's power. Makes it so much easier to avoid screwing up the Chaser emblem. That's how I got Wesker's adept. There are many killers whose power hurt their emblems, that's not new. I don't know why emblems haven't been adjusted to take each killer's power into account and reward doing anything other than M1ing, but that's BHVR for you.
Yeah, Wesker and Artist both have bugged Brutality Bloodpoint gain, it sucks. I kinda like Artist, but I never use her. I won't bother until she gets fixed.
i doubt that she will be fixed anytime soon... probably they'll fix her if they'll eventually rework something from her power/addons (like they did with plague)

Why is 3rd health state a thing? They literally get out free card when hit a survivor they to dead hard into you get punished because of single perk? i found problematic only the auto dead hard users... those are the issue

You are just trying to make every buff to killers look like nothing but every nerf look like they hurt the killer so much.
Forget it, there is no reason to even discuss this with someone like you. Believe what ever you want, if it makes you happier lmao.
But I do have to address a few points. Pinhead, from the ptb into the live game, was buffed. His chains were buffed in numerous ways.
Pyramid Head had almost 0 counterplay, because he had no cooldown after canceling his power. If you dropped the pallet, you'd get downed. If you didn't you'd also get downed. He now has a 1 second cooldown, during which he moves at about 3,6 M/S. I am also not sure what you are on about with his movement speed nerfed from 4,4 to 3,6 M/S. He still moves at 4,4 M/S when using his power.
Also, the Artist nerf was not needed? What???
And Plague's puke can easily be juked? Lmao what? There is a reason why survivors often prefer to stay broken the entire game instead of giving her power.
No, you do not have any proper arguments. You are just looking at these things from what seems to be a very biased standpoint, that's all. But if you are one of those people that still believe killers are too weak then I guess there is nothing left to tell you anyways.
you are the one that kept talking like someone biased, not me... i just stated the nerfs that killers got and you are attacking me for stating facts...

Feel like this is a chicken & egg situation.
The forum killers like to propagate that 'you can't win without tunnelling and camping!', but if these people are tunnelling and camping, couldn't it be that they crutched on those tactics to carry them to a level of play where they're simply not competent enough to win without those crutches?
Honestly I doubt it... Or to be more precise, It could be the case for some people in a certain levels of mmr (low/medium), but at a certain point those tactics are the only way to go if you don't want to get steamrolled badly unfortunately...
-
Happened yesterday in a match that I did as pinhead. Usually I wouldn't do it due to the extreme amount of toxicity that I get in my matches, but for some weird reason yesterday I had a couple of chill matches, so I decided to do it

no, they camp and tunnel cause most of the times those are the only tactics that can work (aka they are forced to do them in order to have a chance). Did you think that's funny going always for the same dude over and over again? without having the possibility to chasing other survivors with a different mindset each time? this is the fun aspect of dbd, but the problem is that you DON'T HAVE THE TIME to do it properly (or at least not when you are aganist people with a modicum of brain)

Are you serious right now? Plague got a nerf to her movement speed while holding her power, so she would have at least a bit of counterplay when using her Corrupt Purge. She did get a bunch of other buffs as well though. And she received more buffs over the years as well.
Pyramid Head had almost 0 counterplay before they added a 1 second cooldown after canceling his power, and they even gave him a compensation buff as well. That had nothing to do with making him weaker after people bought him.
Artist is the same thing. Many people still don't enjoy going against her that much, but dear lord, her crows damaging survivors was so stupid, literally everyone was asking for that nerf.
And Freddy as far as I know was just very ill informed nerfs because of how strong he could be against low rank survivors.
Wesker is the first killer that was nerfed in a way that most people didn't see coming, and didn't want him to be nerfed. And it's not even clear if his hit box is too small, or if it's just buggy. I also wouldn't be surprised if they increase his hitbox to 25 or 30 cm in the next weeks, considering how many people complain about it.
Also, what about Dredge, Sadako, Pinhead, Nemesis, Trickster, Blight and so on? A lot of those killers were actually improved sometime after the ptb.
You have no argument whatsoever.
yes, i'm absolutely serious since the question was if other killers were nerfed after the ptb, not if those nerfs were done without reasons🙄.
btw dredge and sadako didn't received buffs as far as i know (or at least nothing gamechanging for them), pinhead was NERFED and not buffed (brown and green addons for the chain hunt cooldown nerfed from 10 and 15 seconds to 3 and 6 seconds and his engineer's fang nerfed, spawning only 2 chains instead of the usual 3). trickster was buffed after being released cause he was literally unplayable unless you were aganist people who were SO BAD that they could kill themself while the killer was afk. blight had hitboxes so weird and bad that was unplayable so i would call his "buffs" bugfixes. freddy didn't needed all the nerfs that he got, now it feels clunky and underpowered using him. artist wasn't a big problem since when she put down the crows she's also slowed down, so the counter was the same as it is now: W+shift. pyramidhead was overall nerfed because as i said his cages were visible to him, so his power gave also some useful informations and his chasing power could be easily faked, now both things are gone only for having his power more spammable (they didn't even buffed the range, which is already pathetic), a pity that this attack is extremely predictable and you can't aim freely due to the slow movement, without mentioning his ms nerfed from 4.4 to 3.6. plague could at least receive a buff for her puke being faster since it can be easily juked (not to mention that her green puke is extremely clunky due to server latency: i lost the count of the times that i should have infected someone and the survivor did the animation when hitted by the puke but nothing happened), especially when in indoor maps, making her a simple m1 killer, she recently received a couple of buffs that make her a little bit better (before survivors were able to completely deny her power since only one pool was available to collect her real chasing power from the start). i've a LOT of arguments as you can see...
-
@Sluzzy said:
I think survivors need all the help they can get. It is hard to say maps are survivor sided when every match is a massacre.

The 12 hook win is a myth past ash ranks. As long as Survivors are not doing stupid rituals like "go to the Killers face and wave your hand 2 times.
This is the sad truth... If you did 6 hooks without playing dirty it's already a big accomplishment... Usually a killer can do 3 hooks before all the gens are done, even less when you are facing tryharders of the worst species...
-
@scenekiller said:
I find it funny that they "need to look at why" tunneling and camping happen instead of working on measures against them, but when second chance perks were the topic of discussion and survivors said "they should look at why we feel the need to use four second chance perks", that argument was never valid.
Either they address reasons why, or they just nerf things. And a lot of players on both sides of this community have shown them that nerfing is their preferable option. You don't get to say "well, actually..." when it affects you, while calling for nerfs for others.
i'm not asking for nerfs, i'm asking for options that could be more viable than camping and tunneling since the situation has drastically worsened as i mentioned above (they gave slightly buffs that won't change the in the slightest the main problems of the game and why people play in certain way... in the meantime all the main gen defense perk were made literally useless despite noone was complaining about them) and they are essentially reducing the few VIABLE options that a killer could do in order to keep up the pace, forcing the killer to play in a certain way (aka not optimal). as i said it's a good thing that they are trying to erase camping and tunneling from the game, but they should also do something regarding the "chase everyone" mechanic more rewarding and VIABLE, instead of seeing 3 generators popping only for doing a single chase most of the times...

@SgtMittens said:
The MMR system is an oversimplified, poorly crafted metric to determine skill. The person(s) who came up with it the the ones who signed off one it should stick their heads in the toilet and flush a few times. Standing the next to the hook for kills and nodding your head then going to the post chat to tell everyone how great you think you are isn't skill. Crouching around the edge of the map, completing 2 maybe 3 gens, then teabagging at the exit isn't skill.
The only system worse than this one was the original ranking. For those that may not know, all you had to do was earn 10k or more. You had to almost try and fail to not move up. The ranking system after this but before the terrible emblems was the one I think worked best for this game. The only flaw, or at least only caveat I didn't like, was rank reset. You only moved down a few place depending on where you finished. I always thought everyone should go back to rank 20.
Ironically, purple and green ranks were where the sweatiest of the sweaty resided because they were desperate for red ranks. In my experience of playing that ranking method for 2 years? red ranks made for the best matches. That's what we need back. You couldn't camp your way to red ranks. You could only do it once you got there and it rarely worked because the survivors, solo or SWF, were experienced.
i still miss the old system under certain degree...

@Sumnox said:
The issue is they didn't punish camping and tunnelling enough. Simple as that. If they made it truly uneffective, I can assure you people would just stop doing it consistently, and you'd only have the occasional Bubba meme build or the usual griefers who always play toxic, doing it. Had they just made Reassurance basekit and increase it to 60 seconds, I can assure you killers would just give up on camping altogether and would leave the hook IMMEDIATELY to chase someone.
Since they're scared of the 3 or 4 very loud killer mains in this forum (they're always the same ones, as I say very often) that like to promote this kind of playstyle, they always tiptoe around these things. They should stop being afraid and act.
Fact is that you can't keep punishing people without giving them viable/alternative options... If you have already faced good survivors you should know pretty well why the killer is forced to use those tactics most of the times.
-
I might add that this inconsistency incentive an unhealthy gameplay for both sides

It's not an "ez win" it's literally one of the only viable tools against good survivors. Against average to bad you can play fair but even killers with 5k hours can struggle to play according to the absurd survivors rulebook
Unfortunately this. And this is why I also stated that alongside nerfing tunneling and camping, they should gave killers more reasons to consider going for other people a viable choice. In the actual state the game is really in a bad spot imo

@Nazzzak said:
Escapes and kills help determine your MMR. Pips are the result of the emblem system, which award you points based on your in-game actions (including sacrificing/escaping, but absolutely not limited to that)
as i said i found it dumb since emblem/pip system should be a "mirror" of the skill of the players... you can't pretend to punish someone for playing optimally in order to reach their goal faster, in the same time you can't stated that kills/escapes are a matter of skills when everyone know that people should look what happened during the match (example: a blendette can be considered more skilled than a survivor who knows how to loop and play smart if that claudette always escape, doens't matter how).

except freddy, plague (if i'm not mistaken she has a minor cooldown regarding her recovery after using the green puke), artist (before survivors took damage if they went into her crows, now they'll be simply swarmed) pyramidhead (his cages and later his chiasing power), just to name some of them...

I disagree with the notion that wesker is bad. After my first game was kind of rocky, I have yet to lose with him. There are some troubling bugs like dropping survivors when you collide with short objects like chests, or instances where you go through them because of hitbox problems.
But outside that I have no doubt in my mind wesker is a strong killer, as my 10 or so game win streak can testify.
doing streak of wins doesn't means that a killer is strong generally speaking, it means that you just faced below average suvivors, especially in wesker's case...

Think you got me misunderstood bro I have a 1123 streak with this killer
(press x to doubt)
but even in the case that's true, 1 single player that use that character extremely well shouldn't be taken as a default thing, otherwise you should balance the game based on those players in both sides (which the game clearly isn't). you could be a tournament player or you just faced really bad survivor as far as we know. if i should balance a killer about my personal experience then nurse should be buffed (i did matches where i didn't miss more than 3 blinks in the entire trial, ending chases in less than 15 seconds, yet survivors were escaped despite all this pressure). As i like to say, devs should fix once and for all the maps (most of them are REALLY awful, full of pallets and windows that can be chained without risks i might add, without requiring a single mindgame) and relegate SWF in custom matches (in that way you can FINALLY balance around solos and killers will also have fair matches) before EVER considering to rework that killer...

Nah. Truth is some killers are not powerful enough, but Nurse is still broken, period.
playing with your friends isn't a big issue if wasn't for the fact that will give you unintended advantages that aren't supposed to be here in the 1st place, that's the problem...
