  • he’s another case of a killer that loses a good mechanic because devs are so bad at balancing addons, sure he will have a high kill rate when he can be 20% faster do 180 a have 33% longer rushes with 2 iris. Instead of addressing stupid addons like those they are removing a major part of his skill ceiling.

But in order to get the stacks, you have to hook everyone at least once. That is already a huge incentive for you to avoid tunneling the first survivor you found.

This is incorrect, this would be the same to say pain ress incentive not tunelling, that’s not the case, even in comp the meta is tunel someone out then use pain res. Perks like those should be disabled if someone is dead, same goes for grim embrace

so you're contradicting yourself. saying DS should not receive a buff in the title and are now saying DS should receive a timer buff. and you're mad people aren't a fan of your title. pick a struggle. maybe don't get confused people don't like your title when you have to lie about your thoughts just for interaction bait.

Well I was pretty clear, I don’t think DS should be buffed if killers basekit isn’t touched, so I’m not baiting anyone, on the other hand if those changes happen and prove to be inefficient, as past his argument I do think I could get buffed. Being able to take constructive criticisms and change my mind doesn’t mean I’m baiting anyone

  • @GeneralV said:

    DS and BBQ then.

A punishment for tunneling, and a reward for not doing so.

We had that before. Tunneling existed, but it was not the norm, as it is today.

I see no reason why they shouldn't be brought back to the game.

Bbq isn’t the same, it does not reward in match, only afterwards

Even if Devs buff Huntress with 10 hatchet instant down. It doesnt stop Huntress to use that broken strength to tunnel survivors.

Uhm, I do like ur analogy, it’s a well supported argument, I must say the tittle is manly the attract people to the thread but with no surprise, many have only seen the tittle, I do agree with u, DS should receive its stun time back, but I can’t see this happening without changes to killers baskeits, people refuse to understand that just buffing a already strong perk that now can be comboed with Off the record, DH isn’t going to be healthy and will generate aggressive play stiles that u can’t punish

  • @Araphex said:

Can anyone please tell me how to counter billy now? it seems impossible to loop him, his power has 0 cooldown, or at least thats what it seems, I cant do sh*t even throwing pallets, or juking him, because in the next second he has his chainsaw again. Why BHVR never seems to hit the correct spot? It always has to be waaay too Overtuned, or absolute dogsh*t, never the correct one so everyone is happy.

He’s absolutely fine, it will take time for u learn how to play against a killer u never played before, since he was the 4th least picked killer, but the basics are, use windows, and do not greed pallets.

  • pain res, pop, ultimamente weapon, bam

As a Bubba main, I am extremely jealous of my chainsaw wielding brethren.

-I too would love to have no cooldown.

-I would love to have overdrive.

-I would love to not tantrum when I bump, and if I do bump, I would love to instantly be able to use my saw again.

-I would also love to be able to eat through pallets and keep my chainsaw sweep going.

-I would love to be able to zoom across the map and get someone down within the first 10 seconds of the game.

-Finally, I would love to be able to stand just outside of anti face camp, feathering my chainsaw and waiting for someone to unhook.

Billy definitely has it good right now, and we should share the love to Bubba.

    Then just play Billy

  • This is probably plans to future changes, but those ain’t bad at all, all of those addons would be better if they were like that, and I’m a p100 blight, and currently being playing Billy non stop, cooldown addons are only a problem if stacked or in overdrive so that’s not a super over reactive change, in fact it’s pretty healthy.

  • @ratcoffee said:

i'm not sure exactly what happened here, let me take a guess at it.

-you dropped the pallet as the billy was swinging

-he hit you and got stunned at the same time

    -you vaulted over the pallet

-he was able to hit you as you were vaulting over the pallet

was that how things went down? if so, that sounds like he was using the perk Enduring, which lets killers recover from stuns much faster than normal.

Bros the BIGGEST chad ever LOLLL

  • @Atom7k said:

I get that he was at a weak state but this is a little bit broken. He should have at least 40 meters terror radius because you barely get a chance to react once overdrive hits

This is a change I’m not particularly against, in my opinion Blight, Billy, and oni in power should all have 40m, I would like to see it been made into a pattern. Although I’m not sure on the implications of it, it doesn’t seem to matter that much to weaker, in fact it seems to benefit at times, but Billy is FAR from broken, learning counter play is always important though;)

I think his turning speed needs to be buffed. I'm finding it hard to curve around objects. I ran both of the turning increase addons and I feel like they do nothing and his turning is still extremely slow. That's baffling considering both addons result in a 75% increase, which is a massive percentage. He should be able to turn 45 degrees base kit.

But he can do 90•, try using Q and E to see if it helps, also set ur mouse sensibility in game to 100%

To be clear, I agree the old cooldown was bad and was a little too much. It should not go back to what it was before. I just want a middleground is all.

As I said. It’s to early to tell, but if anything the addons should be toned down or reworked, let’s just give time to thing settle in before :)

Even before he was buffed (when the miss cooldown was too punishing) his power was still good for mobility. Rebalancing the cooldown isn't going to change that. It's not a little above average, it's way above average and doesn't leave any room for survivors to take advantage of mistakes.

Ah yes, before addressing ur comment, I want to leave some stats so maybe u can understand where I’m coming from. Billy was the 3rd least played killer, and had the lowest win rate in game. This has 2 primary reasons. Lack of lethality and Being far too punishing for it to be appealing to newer players. Billy reduced cooldowns help with both of those problems, and since he was one of the worst killer stats wise he should been getting significant buffs. And one more things, yes he always had above average mobility but he still was terrible at catching up thanks to his overkill cooldown, cooldown addons should MAYBE be reviewed but he’s basekit is PERFECTLY fine as it’s stands.

  • @Monsoon said:

I personaly don't enjoy playing against HillBilly now. It feels like he has no penalty when missing with his chainsaw! The sound of chainsaw is not loud enough I can't understand when he will use it! Also the speed of it is way too fast to react!

So basically just a m1 killer. I see

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Nah, the best combo is both cooldowns lol. They are so fast you can literaly miss a chainsaw next a Survivor and still have time to M1 before they can drop a pallet like 2m away xD.

Yeah that list is wrong just for valuing cooldown less than Mangled.

Bruh, mangled is low B only because loopro is the best addons, with lesser punishing cooldowns Billy can rely on it way more, plus yellow cooldown is low cause green one is way better

  • @Xernoton said:

    I'd rank them like this:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZOEGQ5BJ1QSQ/my-image.png

The D-tier addons are completely useless. They do nothing. You could bring them or not but it wouldn't make a difference. You use the chainsaw non stop anyway.

The Filthy Slippers are so low because they have no positive effect on their own. You need to combine them with the Apex Muffler or it just won't do anything. The survivors can hear your chainsaw very clearly, so they'll know that you're getting closer. The Apex Muffler is in a similar position, however it has more chances for synergy.

I think Tuned Carburettor swings a bit too much from being a huge asset to being a detriment to rank it much higher. It's a bit unreliable in my opinion.

Actually, ur is probably better than mine, agreed for the most part

You are overthinking, he's not going to die if they increase his cooldown after a miss, and all killers should be punished for missing his power

Billy’s power isn’t just anti loop, it’s utility and mobility, he’s cooldown is fine as is, and nerfing it would hurt all of the 3 other aspects. He should not be touched, he’s been in the dirty for too long, he deserves being a little above average in some aspects

  • @LordGlint said:

Just played my first game as him and... he feels REALLY strong. Tossed on the turning addons and not a single gen got done. It probably has to do with the fact that I haven't played many matches as Billy so my MMR is low, but if even I can do that... experienced Billys are gonna be scary.

People need to get used to him, but he’s perfectly fine as he is now

Sorry if it was confusing my mind was also at about 25% battery life. Basically I was just more or less annoyed because since the PTB started I've been getting constant terrible matches while stuff like that can be seen as matchmaking being well matchmaking I feel like since a lot of PC players would play the PTB matchmaking now is struggling to fill more of a gap since. If it still sounds confusing it's hard typing it then it is saying it.

    There’s no matchmaking on ptbs

  • it Still has the look angle, the downside being u have a 14s cooldown instead of the usual 10

  • @jamally093 said:

I can't play it as I'm on console which is fine makes sense why make a PTB where everyone can play it instead of simple releasing it. But that's not the point it's what it does to matchmaking for others that or this is DBD basically eating some glue maybe add a little glitter and boom constant tunneling killers you finish one gen meaning four are left and it becomes the end of the world. What's weirder is I barely get this when there isn't a PTB.

Bro this is one of the most confusing posts I’ve seen in a while, do u mind elaborating further

I think the point is that they're 'dribbling' the gen. So they do 4.5% of the gen repairs, then let go for a moment, and then do another 4.5%, repeating until they're done.

This exactly what it’s, it’s like making a gen and the killer being unable to regress it further, unfortunately some people are incapable of using their brain

Thats literally what a lot of games have. Don't like this mechanic? Use this character to counteract that. Its only really bad when the base game mechanic is THAT strong.

And this is terrible game design, I’m blaming the devs and if this comes live, blame the game not the players.

Honestly, I do think that theoratically he has the potential to come very close to Artist, if the player was actually that insane, used the right addons, got a good map and had good rng with the clutter and tiles. They added such a crazy new mechanic that it's a double edged blade. Overdrive can be extremely beneficial but also detrimental. Even more so with the Engravings addon.

If anyone was able to actually move their camera quick enough, they might be able to do all of the normal curves at increased speed and also add entirely new tricks. The only issue is, that I'm unsure it's even humanly possible for anyone to reach that level (not quite sure, if the game allows it either but considering the existing LoPro tricks it might).

A bit of a different topic here, but the problem isn’t that u need to turn fast, is that the 0,5 seconds that u have at that speed of 15,6 ms with engravings is just too low to curve without going wide, I would probably either increase that time while I overdrive to something like 0,8 seconds, or u could also make so that the extra speed from overdrive only kicks in after 0,5 seconds, so it’s still the same to curve

  • @glitchboi said:

    Pretty solid tier list!

I would probably bump up Artist and Wesker right above Oni, with Artist above Wesker. A god Artist can absolutely stomp with her ability to literally hit across the entire map more consistently than Huntress. Wesker with his techs is a nightmare to go against. The issue with Oni that makes him worse than the other two is that he has a power that can be deactivated for a large portion of the game if the survivors make it too difficult for him to catch up. Oni at the top of A- makes sense for me, with Singularity at the lowest of A-.

The placement I disagree most with however is Wraith's placement, I don't think he's stronger than any of the killers that he's put above. He has okay-ish anti-loop but it's one of the most inconsistent chase powers in the game other than his ability to close in distances. His mobility and stealth are decent but windows and pallets are such a nightmare for Wraith, especially ones that are even slightly safe. The other killers below him are much better at securing downs, tracking survivors, and moving across the map. If they added back his +0.25 seconds to his uncloak speed boost I would actually agree with his placement, though. I would put him in the top of C+.

As others have stated it's a little too early to be confident about Billy's placement in a tier list, but I predict that he'll be deemed below Oni, or maybe even above.

Hey, thank u for the feedback, I don’t see Billy being much higher, and that comes from someone who played quite a bit of Billy, he’s MILES better now, but he’s still gets Fd over by maps and crouching, still, I’m very happy with his changes. Yeah I must admit that wraith was positioned a bit too high, but I do think he’s a pretty decent killer, even in comp he usually does pretty well, although he can’t keep up if everything is aloud, but hardly any killer can, but I see ur point, then again nice to see that u do agree with the majority:)

  • @Xernoton said:

I think it's a bit early to tell high Hillbilly will rank after his rework. They added a completely new mechanic to his kit that allows for very different plays and his Engravings now enable completely different things in Overdrive while disabeling most normal curves (you're too fast to even turn in time). He is definitely in a good spot overall but quite tough to rank yet.

As for Sadako, I think she might rank a little higher even. She can be quite a monster especially on her better maps.

Yeah, I do agree with u, however I don’t think he’s to far of when it comes to position on the tier list, maybe a bit lower, but hardly higher, he’s very solid though, happy of how he’s now :) + thanks for taking some time to comment ur opinion here

But if we're going to bring add-ons to the table, then I believe Freddy is still superior to Trapper and Clown with RPB and Nancy's Masterpiece.

It ain't by much, he still leaves a lot to be desired. But that is just how I feel.

Yeah who knows, u may be right, but I don’t believe this is the case at all in a comp setting, maybe in casuals sure

  • @FrenchBagels said:

Bump Billy up behind Oni. His mobility is way better than pre-overheat Billy that I’d honestly say he’s almost as scary to face as him.

Onyro probably one down ahead of Trickster and Artist/Wesker should be up a tier too.

1: I’m very happy with the Billy changes, but he’s still too map dependent, and some of the addons still doodo, but I believe his in a real good spot rn, with some quality of life changes he will be perfect.

    2: Yeah u probably right

  • @TheArbiter said:

The ironic thing is with his current PTB addons Blight is probably closer to Nurse than ever before

Overall I'd say I agree for the most part but I'd move Artist to Chucky's spot and put Chucky before Oni

Hillbilly is still early to judge so I'd leave him out for the time being

Larry is still too affected by EMP's so even at maximum skill level I would put him below Hag

Not really, yes some of the clips are insane, but mainly because the iri addons is bugged and not caping the bonus at 3, current blight is stronger, and much more oppressive, although this version of blight is ######### hilarious

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3627070#Comment_3627070

    Mobility, mostly.

Don't get me wrong, Freddy has very little going for him in his current state. But I think his teleport gives him an extra help which killers like Clown and Trapper do not have.

Yes but trapper can camp like Freddy could never wish, clown has pretty good addons, pink finger, which is huge since it eliminates boddy blocks and makes unhooks real hard. Trapper would probably be the worst but some of the buffs he received make him better than a killer that must wait 1 minute to teleport and has no power until someone gets in the dream word, which btw they can leave by missing a skill check.

  • @GeneralV said:

Freddy definitely isn't the weakest of them all.

I came back to DBD after a long time and didn't realize how much this killer in particular had changed.

Lightburn was a major counter that I'm not sure should be brought back, but at the very least I think the wraith should have to commit to the decloak after a certain point. It sucks when you use an exhaustion perk to try to escape a nearly fully decloaked wraith just for them to go "hahaheehee jk I'm not actually decloaked." And I don't mean halfway decloaked and go, I mean right before the last bell ring he cancels and cloaks again.

If the wraith was forced to commit halfway through the decloak I think that would really help give a little extra counter play without being too oppressive.

Bruh, this is probably the ONLY mechanic that expresses skill on wraith, there’s not reason to reduce wraith skill ceiling

It's not so much that it's impossible to do something like this, but rather that this wouldn't fix the problem, just shift it. If someone has decided that they absolutely do not care to continue the match, there is nothing we can do to change that. No amount of penalties or preventative measures will suddenly make them want to keep playing. Even if we prevent them from trying to unhook themselves, nothing stops them from then running directly to the Killer to get downed and rehooked as quickly as possible, or from whipping out their phone and watching some videos as they wait for the match to finish. Either way, the end result is the same. You've still got a teammate who isn't doing anything, only now the other Survivors might accidentally waste time saving them and the Killer has an easy way to activate whatever hook-based perks they may be running.

In reality, people letting themselves die on the hook is not the problem, it's a symptom of the problem. Fixing a symptom doesn't make the issue go away, it just resurfaces in a different way (e.g. going AFK, running at the Killer, etc.). The real problem is they don't feel the need to finish the match.

That doesn't mean it's impossible, though. There are likely some creative ways to discourage abandoning a match, but it's not as simple as disabling the ability to unhook yourself.

Yeah, but there’s a HUGE difference between taking ur phone out to whatch videos and actually abusing a terrible in game mechanic that the developers support, which only promotes selfish gameplay, not to mention how much this may impact on stats such as kill rates etc.
