I’ve given up playing until the desync issue is fixed. It’s already bad playing survivor already and now all the hits are janky af

I’ve noticed a difference for sure. I can now play my P100 characters with ease because I no longer get targeted, tunneled out instantly with the killer in end game chat going “Had to prove I could take out a P100!” because they still think P100s=Super skilled, toxic SWF gamers.
I’m having more fun playing my mains now so I love it. I also have gotten dodged hardly ever now.
my exact experience as well. Also I noticed a drastic decrease in killers bringing the absolute sweatiest of add ons and perks. Still being strong perks of course which is to be expected.
-
Off the record can be an ok counter as at the very least you have a longer endurance effect and you make no sounds and your aura can’t be seen. However, most killers proxy or straight up camp which can make it a moot point.
I just came to terms with not being able to escape and took that time to improve my chase skills. Windows/off the record and made for this are my typical combo. It’s my “oh you want to win, well I’m gonna make sure it’s a 1k for you then” strategy. Eventually you try your best to go down away from gens, out of any potential 3 gen and waste as much time as possible even if it’s just going around object tightly that doesn’t have a pallet. Every second counts.
Some people use the off the record/ds/dead hard combo as well.

how will that help me complete the survivor achievement?

oh, it's my favourite:
– oh we are all solo
also them: every survivor always knows where i am as stealth killer and preruns, give backs right when they need it, always end gens when i start to chase someone from hot gens, go down in a pallet/open with no reason and do other very coordinated stuff
sure thing you guys are solos and not sore losers at allright?!? I’m not even a hater. I just super rarely get these squads on my main, it’s always a killer daily on a killer I’m either meh with and/or don’t like playing.

Sore winners are awful. There is no excusing that.
However, you had the best killer too tackle these guys.
Sadako is literally busted on this map.
maybe but I don’t like playing her and will only play her if forced to. She’s just an m1 killer to me.
-
I thought I’d love it… then every game the killer secured their first down, freely tunneled and played in the most uninteresting ways. 6/7 games went that way.

@Mr_K said:
Yeah, my P100 Nurse gets dodged nearly ever lobby. Never had this problem at P69.
honestly it would be fair to show the killer and prestige level. I mean, if it’s just a placebo… what should be the harm?
-
@Shroompy said:
All I can say is that its most likely placebo
I myself have a P100 meg, and Ive started playing David (P11) more since he was my 2nd main survivor back in the day and I've noticed absolutely no difference in my games.
Would it be nice to have prestiges hidden? I mean sure, but I guarantee you it wont make a difference. Go play with your main. You know you’re right. I’ve gone against 0 of the builds I have today when I was playing my p3 Sable. Must be completely placebo.
-
I stopped watching 2 streamers when they flat out admit they only play because of the money and CONSTANTLY whine for entire streams. Like if it makes you that miserable, imma remove the incentive to keep you playing
-
I find these posts interesting because of how self involved they are. I don’t mean that as a negative but I see these types of vids in many other live server games and many seem to have a grass is greener elsewhere look.. when truth be told… they are burnt out because they put in many hours a week streaming.
I’m currently burnt out doing a fraction of the playtime they regularly do during the event. For instance a certain streamer dropped this game over a year ago to do variety… that didn’t work out, so they then latched onto another live server game.. and with a fraction of his DBD hours, he’s already talking like he did before dropping this game.

Not gonna lie, you probably would've completed that daily if you played the game normally, swapping between M1's and M2's; but, being honest, Lithe is a pretty good perk for players to use, so I highly recommend it.
Though, it does get negged other perks like Mindbreaker and Blood Favor, so take that with a grain of salt.I’m definitely going to incorporate the perk into my future builds.

@dwight444 said:
I mean…you're saying you couldn't injure 1 survivor before gens 'flew'? Not sure what flew means here, 1, 2 or 3 gens?
even if all 4 run lithe and pre-run (big if here, also a big if that all players play optimally), sure it's going to take you longer to catch up but eventually you'll catch up and it's unlikely most average players will walk during chase to get their exhaustion perk back so it's just a regular chase at this point. If you decided to abandon a chase before it started each time then that's just you not playing optimally and hoping you catch someone while they're exhausted before you commit; at some point you have to commit to someone, which, it's probably best at the start of match you just commit to the guy who you know is now exhausted.
lithe isn't going to make you good at pathing, looping, etc so it sounds like there was a bit of being outplayed by the survivors here and outplaying yourself.
I was outplayed by my daily. I needed to get max infection. If I just m1, I wouldn’t have lost 2 gens before someone was injured. And if the map wasn’t a large map. Having played this strat this morning, there’s no out playing this is a killer commits to the chase if you know the direction the killer is coming from , it’s a large open map and you have the heart symbol active. 2 of them lost 3 gens before I was even injured.

I finished the whole thing before the kill switch. Does using the offering help with the challenges?
-
It goes both ways tbh. I had a miserable time playing soloQ and when I switched to killer I got the worst of both issues (bad maps, and lack of engagement). I had a squad that I latter saw was live on twitch and when I watched their VOD, all they wanted to do was gens. They called out my locations at all times and pre-ran to the main building. Gens flew but they had no resources and the gates were in the open so I got a 2k playing super scummy since all the downs were free.
Then next match, I got an indoor map as a Trickster. I had both pre-running/pre-dropping god pallets at 5 gens. Everyone with calm spirit/distortion. 0k because I went afk in basement as I couldn’t be arsed to search every locker in LERY’S to find someone.
my last match, another crappy map but literal potatoes at the game with maybe 20 hours at most. I 8 hooked and then let them go. This match I got amazing points as did the survivors. In fact they got significantly more than the survivors in the previous matches. Really boring but at least they engaged.

as someone that moved from switch to pc several years ago... Killer became easy mode lol Have lots of fun and hopefully x-progession happens eventually

-
As a p100 yoichi main myself… I let all those little cuties go unless… I have a challenge and then I feel hella guilty and I almost always get them when I have a kill obsession challenge and they are the obsession. 😭
-
Killers already dodge high prestige to the point most of us just avoid playing our mains so we’re not stuck in the lobby. How would that be different if you can see pre-made?
-
Was finally able to complete this. In case anyone else has issues, I solo’d the gen, all 5 were completed and I escaped through the gate.
-
@TatsuiChiyo said:
Seems like a bug, I got the achievement my first gen as well as my Adept Sable.
So you were able to unlock the achievement? If so, were all 5 gens completed then escape and did you solo or duo the gen?
-
As someone that mains him, I really like hitting knives but can understand why he’s not favoured over someone like Huntress or even Xeno. I had a huntress daily the other day, and it was just a reminder of how much easier she is at everything.

I took a year off and it was a great choice.
It also helps you break a lot of the FOMO loops that this game tries to keep you in.
Honestly second the avoidance of the FOMO rifts/events and such when you are in burnout. As much as I kick myself for missing out on Jake fits, they’ll eventually be available in the store.
oh and if you save the BP from your tome challenges and save 2 million bp ahead of time you can take a 1+ break from the game before a chapter release to give yourself that break.
-
When I was really burnt completely out I took an 8 month break, and now when I start getting frustrated on both sides of the game, I’ll start with a week break then extend the break until I’m back to chill again and not letting small dumb things get to me.
Also - ignoring things that make me frustrated too. Like when playing killer, u try not to do any complicated Tome challenges. Hard sweating on killer just isn’t fun for me at all so I avoid. And killer is the only side I have control over.
-
I was killer and the maps were Lerry’s, Dead Dawg and I know it was macmillan but can’t remember which one
-
@supersonic853 said:
Yeah its unfortunate. To make it work myself i need at least some stall in some way. Trying it with no regression or stall at all doesn't really work unless the survivors also play nice. It comes with the idea of mmr though. You are supposed to be challenged every game.
I try this as well. Sad thing is, this morning everyone pre-ran, pre-dropped and just when I would catch up…. Lithe across the map. Thing is, I love chases(with actual looping and mindgames) but the lack of interaction is just baffling to me. I was playing a no perk freddy for a daily with no addons and no one even bothered to try and loop.
omg I would be ecstatic if I got an m1 killer when I play survivor.
-
Nothing tilts me more than survivors coming to my gen at the beginning of the match. There is zero need to 3-4 man a gen unless it’s the last one. And it never fails that the gen I’m working on with 2+ is immediately interrupt and the killer snowballs from there.
it’s to the point I know within seconds how the match is gonna go depending on spawn behaviour.
-
I finished mine recently and was waiting to hold off till after I got sable to p3 to start Jake… but if I’m honest, I think I’m just going to dump my points into a killer.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/406496/questions-for-p100s
Hi, P100 haddie and soon P100 Cheryl, more often than not, p100s have been in the game so long that we just don't care about survival, so we are usually not sweaty at all. However, that pretty 100 badge is quite intimidating to people. The thing about tunneling is that eventually, the killer will win. There's not much survivors can do about that.
Not only that, but the pre game lobby dodging is crazy. I'll have 13, 14 killers dodge one lobby and that lobby then becomes a 30 minute wait cuz no one wants to play against you. Personally, I worked so incredibly hard for P100 haddie before the blood web update that I just want to show her but it will often, if not always result in a toxic match. I think they should 1) Add a cosmetic reward for p100 characters and 2) add an anonymity option for prestige in pregame lobbies to avoid this issue.
On the other side of the issue, I can see how we are scary to killers, especially with the ######### mmr this game has and I don't blame them for dodging, I just wish it didn't happen yknow?
I can understand them not giving a cosmetic for the p100 for a couple reasons but now that banners and icons have been added.. it would be nice to get a character specific p100 portrait and like a legendary banner.
-
I definitely think tunneling is a major issue for casuals/new-mid players… or the majority of the player base. When there’s a lot of people on/play during prime time… I hardly run into this. When I play during off times, I still run into it but it’s a detriment to the killer if they pick the wrong person. Like today, a wraith chose to tunnel me because he zoned me in a dead zone with 1 pallet which gave him a quick chase. When I got off hook, I beelined straight to a strong jungle gym with off the record active and he finally got a down on me again at endgame with a result of a 0k because of cracked teammates.
part of this issue is backfilling as I was playing my p100 and 4 other killers dodged before this killer got put against me.
-
I genuinely think it’s the mmr vs fast queue times. When I play on weekends, I get solid teammates. Weekdays… it’s varies.
-
Some days a good portion of my time is spent in lobby as lobby dodging is a massive problem. Other days, like today there were so many very high prestige levels on both sides, it didn’t matter at all and it felt like a normal dayS
on week days, If it’s not lobby simulator , it’s bring map offerings or white ward for killers best add ons.. followed by tunnel the baby survivor of the lobby out ASAP.

It seems completely illogical to load into the game and be like "Yeah, I'll tunnel the P100 for 3 Hook stages while their team mates do gens, and that's the easiest way to win." You're far more likely to get juiced by a P100 than their literal P0 team mate. Both do gens at the same speed. One is going to go down faster in chase.
I usually see a P100 in my killer lobby and I'm like, "Yeah, I'll go after you last."
Worst fate ever is being ignored while boonmeg gets all the chases :((

Well, I made the mistake of being a P100, so pretty much everyone seems to hate me
Same. Got juiced by a p100 Yoichi, they choose to throw the match to “prove a point”

Twins and Pallet Freddy.
-
I like the idea of an invocation that will transfer a completed gen progress to another. A way to break up a tight 3 gen of the killer wants to force one.
-
ohh this is very good!!

I've actually been versing killers that brings rpd more often weirdly enough. Once it reached thrice in a row, I called it quits for survivor for the day
In my case with RPD it’s usually a SM that brings it.
-
A lot of people who leave streaming just don’t enjoy the streaming aspect anymore. The constant schedule, content creation and audience engagement can become way too overwhelming. This, plus single game streamers get burnt out super quick. N00b3 had major copyright issues on his YouTube and I think that’s what put the end to any future streaming from him.

9 out of 10 games Killers all used map offerings? Not calling you a liar...but I find this incredibly difficult to believe.
on that day, they absolutely did. It’s not something that is common on my daily games. I’ll get maybe 1-2 a session.
-
Yui - DH, OTR, Windows, MFT. This is my anti-tunnel build I’ve settled on. No items but did use a sac ward.
And killer was Adept Chucky which I got against 4 baby survivors with less than 50 hours each(idk why they matched with me). I used his cool-down on hit and cool-down on miss slice and dice add ons.
-
I’ve been in post on Reddit that someone had complained and asked for nerfs. Meanwhile, I was just jamming to some music tryna get autodidact stacks but was chased the whole matched.
-
I mean… survivors would just bring gen perks instead. One could argue that if you have a slug and 1 or more players hovering, it would be an opportune time to maximise pressure.
-
Like most things in this game, balance comes out of player behaviour… and pig players overwhelmingly decide to play one particular way consistently especially when they have lost the match.
anything that doesn’t make it easy for that play style is warranted imo.
i do wish they would make the roar sound happen not on “wind up” but as she’s ambushing. You can fake her ambush her current way but I feel like positioning the attack would be better during the ambush.
