I believe it’s MMR that’s an issue. Whether it be backfilling or way too lax. I’ve just had a match against a p100 Wesker with 4 slowdowns and his best add ons against me and 3 baby gents….
the next match a 0 prestige wraith going for adept against 4 of us with 2-;3k hours each. I think they need to be stricter

I play killer nowaday just to charity Solo people a fun game.
Most survivors respect me even if I get 1K after 8-9 hooks match
This is exactly how I play killer now. I don’t care about “winning” I just care about chase and getting a decent amount of hooks spread out. We all tend to make good bp
-
After my experience with soloQ for the last week or so… absolutely not. It’s in a terrible state rn
-
I know they say MMR hasn’t changed but holy moly my teammates are… struggling newbies 1000-2000 hrs less than me and it shows. A month and half ago I would go on 1 long chase at the start of the match and at least 3-4 gens would be done with the last started on. I go on the same chase now and at most they tripled on one/or doubled and did gens on one side with zero knowledge on how to split the gens up. Getting 2 tapped with m1 killers.
i don’t believe them when they say things are unchanged
-
I always go for hooks whether I win or lose. If it’s a sweat squad at least the match is over quickly if they’re babies…. I still go for hooks but try and pace the game out to make it enjoyable for learning survivors.
-
Spirit - I can’t hear well but I have fun still
-
i Will. Started playing Alan wake remastered. I like the voice acting and I know I’ll like at least two cosmetics. Champion of Light is a fun meme perk I plan to use after a few weeks when killers stop bring lightborn which will be inevitable

Not really, those stories don't really have a central antagonist, when it comes to the game or set up itself everyone involved is both a survivor and killer simultaneously. Its kind of like a battle royal chapter who would the killer be given that everyone is a potential killer.
Can't speak so much for the maze runner here as I don't know anything about it.
I guess I should have specified like a mid-chapter (survivor). Similar to what we had this round solo chapter killer(Chucky) and now a survivor mid -chapter
-
Trickster as I like hitting knives. I’m pretty chill tho when I play.
I play Spirit is well - I’m tryna improve my tracking
-
I literally have teammates hiding in the corner with self care. SoloQ has only gotten worse on my end with occasional crack teams sprinkled lightly in.
i don’t even have tome challenges to blame this time.
-
American Horror Story has A LOT of options to choose from that I’d love to see in this game. If I could main Madison Montgomery and serve UNT on a daily basis it would be glorious…. It would make all the DBD gays/gals happy.
-
The backfilling is real. How unfortunate the person meant to match with this group dodger.
-
I use hope, made for this, off the record and kindred. I expect to get tunneller as it’s the meta so I play for chases that will get me to endgame. If my teammates do gens, I generally get value on all perks.
-
At the end of the day, as killer i have a lot of tools at my disposal to win a match. Even if 2/3 survivors escape, I can make decent BP. The first person tunnelled out is getting like 5k.
the vast majority of people that play this game are soloQ. Your 1 match with players more skilled then you shouldn’t dictate any changes. I played killer for hours yesterday and lost 1 match. It’s seriously never been easier to play killer.

Sloppy needs to get changed next.
If they can just put a timer on haemorrhage, I think it would be fine. Like 20 seconds, the killer can choose to chase the survivor to down them or the survivor has to waste time to get a safe heal.
-
Cooking Victor by running around a tree and spamming kick before going back to the tree. Funniest match ever and I purposely let egc take me for the trolling.
-
Given the new banner system, something similar to the legacy portraits would be nice.

MMR is so strange.
Sometimes i get a lobby with 30k hours survivor, i win this game and the very next game is against beginners.
Also winning feels like no MMR impact at all. I lost 1 single game with Wekser so far (cant tell how many games, but it was the equivalent of 5 Million Bloodpoints) and i come across baby survivors who play like they have 50 hours.
Can we just have MMR removed and only focus on Pip please? It was better and much more fun back then.
This… I play one game and I’m fighting to get 2/4 hooks but the next match…. They give me 2 hour megs and Claudettes.
-
I think some people on this forum downplay or excuse this playstyle but it is very much common. It really hurts the casual player base especially when killers purposefully look at profiles to find the weakest link and target them.
-
I’ve had a match where a nurse swore we were all cheating or 4 man swf. Turns out matchmaking and spawn rng was heavily in our favour. For 1, we all spawned in separately across the map and started 4 differently gens. 2 had tool boxes and she chased me first. I ran her for 3 gens before going down, and by the time she hooked me progress on 3 other gens had started.
i got unhooked and she rightfully went for the tunnel on me. I’ve been running off the record and MFT because of how prevalent this is…. She didn’t catch on that I had extra speed and whiffed a lot and lost LOS multiple times. I ran her through the exit gates.
sometimes…. You just pick the wrong survivor and RNG isn’t in your favour.
-
This is just standard DBD atm. It’s not every match and some days are better than others but this is often the case.
depending on your team they will only get 1-2k or at least that’s become standard with my MMR.
-
Really? I love trolling Victor by running around a bush or up and down stairs or scaring tf outta Charlotte when she returns from Victor to see me up in her face lol
-
I don’t see a reason why they don’t at least add a Trapper option. I want to practice flashlight saves and don’t want to bother teammates

i would agree if it wasn't bugged every time
It was nice doing a killer daily I haven’t leveled up with 4 perks tho lol
-
A 1000x agree. Especially when soloQ is rough it’s a nice change of pace to give myself a challenge of getting perk value.

No.
Generally as a Killer, if people are obviously baiting you, the best thing you can do is not to fall for the bait.
Exactly. Bait ain’t doing gens. Find gen jockey.
-
Yoichi! He’s just too precious and I truly believe some killers go easy on me when I’m vibing.
-
For me, the few reasons I’ve dipped out on a game:
- I took first chase, it was a very long chase. At no point did I see anyone on a generator.
- everyone is hook farming and I’m the only one doing gens.
- everyone is taking hits for me during chase, no one is on gens and nothing is progressing except losing resources and eventually my hook stages.
If no one is taking the game seriously vs a killer who is treating the soloQ team like their seal team 6, I don’t see a point of staying.
-
Given their prestige level, it makes sense why they switched last minute. Most likely that lobby was dodged multiple times and you backfilled.
more reason to hide the prestige level from killers.
-
Just saw the tweet that is on midchapter release!
-
Honestly this would be best because I am so over seeing killers actively ignore an easy down to just kick a gen.
Pushing killers toward chasing is a good thing.

Excessive hiding will be the strongest counter play for 3-gens.
Coordinated survivors will be able to repair generators in short bursts of time (at least 4.5 seconds), then run far away to hide, and wait for the killer to patrol by, and potentially kick the generator. The survivors can then just repeat this over and over, until the killer is forbidden to kick those generators anymore, at which point they can continue the “short burst of repairing + hiding” strategy, until the generator is fully repaired.
The 3-gen solution was supposed to fix the “way too long” game lengths, but instead will make it the optimal strategy for survivors to extend the game to enormous lengths, to repair the last generator at minimal risk to themselves.
Imagine kicking gens to the point of this becoming a problem lol I think I kicked two gens this weekend.

If you play solo q dont try to win just go for funny plays If you want to win I would try out the discord and find a swf.
Honestly play for chase, and if you can get the chase, not get downed quickly, keep the killer on you and have a long chase… you’re teammates will escape while you get proxy camped lol

It's 100% a matchmaking problem. My solo queue matches go one of two ways:
A: my teammates are about my skill level, but we face a relative baby killer who gets a couple hooks and we 4 out.
B: I have one decent teammate and two players who compete to be the worst players alive, and the killer is something like a quad slowdown Blight with thousands of hours. Game is lost as soon as the match is made.
There are probably close to 100k players peak, yet it is so exceedingly rare that I feel like I had a solo queue match that was well made. Something is always off. The teammates are great and the killer is awful, or the teammates are awful and the killer is good. I don't know what it is about how they built the algorithm, but it is almost impossible for it to put together a well played match that results in a 2k.
And maybe I'm wrong, but until they start providing receipts and showing us what is happening in our matches regarding MMR, I don't believe the devs.
This is my experience as well to an extent. I think I usually get matched with at least 1 person at my level, but mostly 2 of us skilled and 2 under 1000hr players.
it’s not so much a problem when we are facing killers that match their skill level and those killers chase me or the other experienced person but when it comes to at least mine…. These children aren’t ready for tunnel-1st-down-out Wesker/Blight or slugging till bled out Nurse with the occasionally griefing SM.
-
as killer - everyone is 2 hooked , sacrifices are whatever. That's when I'm having fun as killer as I get good chases, and downs and it's spread evenly.
As survivor - escape and/or good chases that result in my team escaping. I don't mind being sacrificed if I had great chases that resulted in 1 or more teammates making it out(if they actually did gens and moved the game forward, Hell no to bb survivor hiding the whole time)
-
Ash and all but 3-4 killers. Ash and to an extent Nick because I can’t play seriously. I only occasionally like playing killer. I’d play more but I get dumb dailies like play artist, skull merchant or knight and after one of those matches I’m done.
Hag is boring af but my dailies usually result in a 4k cause like no one plays her so most survivors don’t know how to play against her.
-
i just had a SM pull the “get good” egc comment after doing all this nonsense and getting 1 putted through gates. Let me pick my teammates and be on comms and we’ll see who needs to get good.
-
It’s a godsend for soloQ perk that lets you know what resources are still available. Also great for new players that don’t know the maps/tiles well.
-
Today was a really chill day on survivor for me, lots of inexperienced killers(felt like killers doing dailies or the winter challenges) . However, the last several days I’ve gotten a significant high hour killers with … very new survivor teammates(>1000 hours). This may have been the case today but the killers seemed to over commit to someone really good in chase.
on the killer side, I rarely play(only for challenges and dailies) and I seem to get the teammates I want on soloQ… I had a Chucky challenge(second time playing him with 1 perk) and I was against a 13k hour lobby. I was able to get the daily done tho so that’s good.

Tunneling was worse before the BT base kit, but I'm back because of the map reworks and adjustments made by the devs, nowadays there are less loops and many dead zones, no pallets, I think they should improve perks like DS ( which nowadays is almost useless) giving back the 5 seconds and giving some extra effect such as hiding the marks for a while or speeding up the surv
Another thing is to delay the alert when someone is saved from the hook, every time a surv is saved, the killer hears an alert and the hud updates, it could take about 5 seconds for the killer's hud to update, it doesn't make much sense for the killer have this alert since it has more antistealth features nowadays
Oh I really like this suggestion as well!

@Astel said:
But there would be people who definitely don't care about BP anymore, so not sure that would work. The way to remove tunneling from game entirely would be the thing that affects the game's flow.
However, what I am concerned about this anti-tunneling stuff is that it can remove the variants of the game. The removal of variants would lead to simplification of the game, abd the game would be boring IMO. Considering that the reason why people complain about tunneling is because it might make game unfun, I think putting that kind of mechanic is very bad idea since the concept of removing tunneling can fade away.
this wouldn’t remove tunnelling though, it would just punish hard tunnelling. The simplest way to avoid the bp removal would be to hook 1 other person in between hooks, or wait till the team completes enough gens to hook without the penalty.
the strategy would still be there but it wouldn’t be a free win anymore, it would come at a cost that you’re right some killers would not care.
-
Meanwhile… I rarely play killer. I’ve gone against some sweaty mf. I do wonder if it’s the time of day I play and all I want is to get my daily not win lol
-
pay attention to the hud. If someone gets hooked and you see someone not on a gen, or someone leave a gen and no chase is happening… stay on a gen. They are getting the unhook.
If you see on your hud, that your teammates are ranking up on hooks but you have yet to be hooked. Make yourself very visible to the killer, or even voluntary take a down/hook trade if necessary to give the others time to reset and finish gens.
If the killer is tunneling and you’re all surrounding the survivor being chased instead of slamming gens… then it’s game over. Also if it’s endgame, and if everyone surrounds and unhooks in front of the killer with no gate having been 99’d…. You farmed your teammate for points.

This build is so cursed. Running Pop with Surge AND Pain Res??? You can’t really get that much value out of it if the generators are already regressing 😭
It didn’t help that Jeff ran into lockers when he knew he was going down after we both noted he had it went Rebecca went down

I highly recommend a duo partner. Matches are still frustrating but I know at least one person is one gens if I’m being chased. The amount of matches it’s a 2v1 is insane but I don’t feel alone
-
@Xernoton said:
0-1 gens done? I hate to break it to you, but that is on you guys. The strongest regression perks only work, when the killer gets a down. If you go down so frequently, then you're doing something wrong. Mostly I lose 2-3 gens for my first down, so maybe instead of blaming everything on regression, you could focus a bit more on actually standing more than 20 seconds in chase.
Well I can’t clone myself, unhook everyone and myself and do gens at the same time. Again… this is soloq and you get matched with whomever is on at the time
-
I’ve spawned into matches with ridiculous 4 gens with a 5th not that far off. I hope they look into these kind of spawns
-
I’d love Sydney from Scream. She’d be my main.

It's not overtuned though, it's still bad against SWF. It's just really good against solos, what it needs is a buff and a retooling to work better against SWF while being more manageable for solos.
Perhaps they think that the new changes will help solo queue enough to make it less impactful.
I don't think the new changes will help unless, stay off gen if you notice someone being chased. There's no way to know when they will get downed.
